Having just recovered from third-degree burns, Xavier confronts his old rival to strike a deal in exchange for Shixion. It's going to be tough bringing Trill back to the CCU alive as their meeting place, a truckstop diner, is filled with plainclothed Exvasi cultists, willing to sacrifice themselves for their enigmatic leader. Meanwhile, Riley, Rufus, and Quartz infiltrate Trill's ship in the hopes they find Shixion aboard. Inadvertently, they find something much worse.
