Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to
Redesigning Life.
This week we have a specialguest, helena Woods.
Helena Woods is a and nowlisten to me for somebody who
knows, like, who loves allthings like readings and
astrology.
I don't really know the firstthing about astrocartography, I
can hardly even say it.
So you specialize Helena inastrocartography.
(00:23):
Wait, say it, say it.
So you specialize Helena inastro cartography.
That's it.
You got it.
Yep, I finally got it.
I am so excited about thispodcast and recording with you
because I mean, obviously sinceI hardly know how to say it I've
heard about astro cartography.
I really don't know how itworks, but I do know and believe
(00:47):
that certain people belong andare drawn to certain places.
So thank you for being on theshow.
I'm so excited to chat with youabout everything.
First things first, since Ihardly know what it is, can you,
for people who are new toastroc cartography, can you
explain it in really simpleterms?
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Yeah, it's the
astrology of place and location.
So, just like how we have birthcharts which show our natal
promise of our lives, we alsohave a unique map of the world
that shows us the natal promisesof our stories and where they
happen.
So where do our peoplefrequently come from?
(01:25):
Where are our careeropportunities?
Where are we more seen?
Where do we connect withcertain aspects of our lives?
Where is that happening in theworld?
So, essentially, it's just amap of your best places in the
world.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Okay, and so I have
my best friend, trish, who's
been on this podcast before, andpeople who follow me on
Instagram know that she's mybestie.
She moved from California toAtlanta and she was miserable,
but does that have to do withyour astrocartography or does
that just have to do with yourpersonality?
Speaker 2 (02:04):
More astrocartography
, for sure, and timing as well.
So I've seen so many people whenthey live in a location that's
not supportive for them.
With that, what we have on ourmaps are called planetary lines,
and so these lines are showingus the energies and the stories
of that location, and you canfeel it immediately when you're
(02:25):
on a train, when you're on acruise, when you're flying in
the air and you notice you feeldifferently depending on where
you are on that flight.
You're crossing over all ofthese different lines that have
specific energies.
Some are more colder or moreserious, more introspective,
others are a little bit fearfulor more stressed, and then
(02:46):
there's other lines that aremore pleasure-filled and relaxed
or more abundant and seeing thepossibility and like expansion
of the future.
All these different planetshave specific energies, and so
when you're visiting or movingor just flying over these lines,
you feel that, and soabsolutely a lot of people when
they live in a place that theydon't like.
(03:08):
It's usually indicative in boththe map, but also we have
what's called a relocation chart, which is separate from your
birth chart, and it shows theentire story of what's happening
in that location for you.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Okay, tell me how
that works.
I mean really dumb it down likepretend I am five years old,
because I don't necessarily evenunderstand how astrology works,
let alone astrocartography.
So you're saying that becauseof where I was born and what
time where the stars alignedthen really have an impact in
where I'm drawn to here in mylife?
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yep, and basically,
when you were born, at the exact
minute, certain planets were oncertain points.
So like the moon was rising inthis part of the world, or the
sun was setting in this part ofthe world, or Venus was setting
over here, so all of the planetsare in different positions and
then it's cast down on theplanet and that's where we get
(04:05):
these called power points orpower locations, where those
lines are and where that energyis magnified.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Okay, so you don't
really know anything about me or
what I prefer, where I preferto live, so I gave you my time
of birth, the date and where.
So what were you able to see inmy chart?
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Yeah, one of the
first places I noted for you
that I really loved was actuallyMadrid, spain.
Have you?
Speaker 1 (04:34):
been there?
No, but that's actually wheremy ancestors are from.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Oh, wow, well, you've
got a beautiful relationship
line.
It's a romance line.
Well, you've got a beautifulrelationship line.
It's a romance line.
It's all about like romance, love, connecting with spiritual
kindred spirits.
Relationships are so big there.
And then, crossing in thatlocation, you also have a career
line which is all about Venus.
So beauty, you know, beautifying a space or design
(05:03):
beautiful things, textures, clothes or something with the
arts, that planet of Venus is atthe top of your chart.
So it's like your career, yourpublic image, your scene, for
those things it's great for aphoto shoot, like, if you ever
wanted to do a photo shoot inMadrid, definitely would
recommend that.
And so there's this story oflike balance, of career support
(05:26):
and help.
And also it's a great financialabundance line, mixed with
romance and like connectionswith people in that spiritual
way.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
So what does that
mean for my life?
Like I should go on vacationthere, I should have my
honeymoon there or I should livethere.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Yeah, I would
definitely go on a vacation
there and plan a honeymoon there, for sure.
And maybe, if you are able tohave a career, if you're able to
plan something where it's likea trip, but maybe at the
beginning or the end of the tripyou do something like
connecting with people or doingmaybe like a branding photo
shoot or something like that, where you're connecting more
with that Venusian.
(06:00):
Maybe it's like you're gettinga new wardrobe for your show or
something and you're picking outthe design and the aesthetics
and it's going to really enhancethe next season, for instance.
So that would be a great way touse it.
You don't have to move to thatlocation.
Not all of these locations youshould move to, because we also
have what's called home linesand these are places in the
(06:20):
world where it's best for likelong-term living and like
seriously settling and livingsomewhere for a long time.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
And were you able to
do that on a chart?
Speaker 2 (06:30):
Yeah, I mean, one of
the places I really like for you
is the West Coast.
Where are you right now,actually?
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Los Angeles.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
You're in Los Angeles
, Okay, Because I really did
like more South in.
Like San Diego, you have thenodes which are these points of
fate and significance andimportant events in your life.
They relate to both home andcareer.
But San Diego, when you getmore south to like Oceanside or
Encinitas or Carlsbad, there canmore be a deeper feeling of
(07:01):
connection to the land and thatlocation.
A deeper feeling of connectionto the land and that location.
Los Angeles is a lot moreinnovative business.
You know more getting seriousand organized about your
business projects, whereas SanDiego is more dreamy, more laid
back, more homey.
But you have a lot of homeindicators on the West Coast of
the US and California for sure?
Speaker 1 (07:22):
Yeah, I mean, I love
California living, but do you
have any practical examples ofor any stories of clients that
you worked with that who wassignificantly improved their
life by either moving or basingtheir choices on one of your
readings or theirastrocartography map?
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Oh, yeah, I had a
client who went to one of her
best, most successful careerlines and she ended up traveling
there when the timing matchedup with going to that line and
she ended up getting thismassive opportunity.
In her art gallery she had thiswhole exhibit at a museum.
It was this really hugepinnacle moment in her entire
(08:05):
career and she went to thesuccessful career line.
It's called the Jupiter MC lineand so you can find this for
free on like astrocom and you'llsee all these different lines
and it'll show the planet thatit is as well as what area of
life it is.
So MC is like career and publicimage, and so she went to that
(08:25):
line and she had that bigopportunity.
I've also helped a lot of peoplefind love and relocate for like
finding love and finding theirpartner.
I've had so many clients getengaged or now married and it
just it makes my heart so fullwhen I hear back from them.
There was one client who shewas swiping on the app and she
set her location to an area thatI advised her to and she ended
(08:50):
up meeting her partner.
She was living in Denmark whenI told her you've got a love
line, actually the same one thatyou have in Madrid.
When I told her you have thislove line in Montana you should
go visit, she did, and herfiance was there and they're now
engaged.
So just stories like that?
Speaker 1 (09:07):
Is it timing and
place Like, for instance, you
see Madrid on my report orreading.
Does timing matter or does itmean to go to Madrid whenever?
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (09:20):
So, in terms of
energy, you can go at any time
and you'll feel the energy ofthat planetary line, whatever it
represents.
But if you want to time aspecific event in your life,
like a career opportunity ormeeting the love of your life,
that we definitely have to addtiming.
So, seeing, in your birth chartyou have what's called transits
, which is when the planets aremoving and when they hit a
(09:42):
certain area of your life, like, for instance, the partnership
house.
That provides a window ofopportunity or an opening to go
to that line and that's how Ihelp people find love and get
these opportunities is tellingthem where to go specifically
and then when to go, like whatweek they should go.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Right, that's, I
guess.
My question was how does thisinformation, how have you seen
it not only in your own life, but maybe a client's life, help
improve their career, somebodyto thrive in their job?
Speaker 2 (10:13):
Mm-hmm.
Well, I help people relocateand move and time their trips.
So if they want to plan theirtravels for the year, we pick
the best spots and then we timeit for the best moment to go to
get the best opportunity fromthat.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
So tell me a little
bit about your background, like
where were you born and how haveyou used this in your own life?
Speaker 2 (10:33):
Yeah, I'm originally
from San Diego.
I moved to New York when I was18.
Actually, on my love line it'sactually the Mercury
relationship line I dated a lot,had a lot of relationships.
Then I met my husband on thatline.
It was actually an exact lovelatitude.
It was in New York.
I wasn't doing astrology at thetime, but I was doing it as a
(10:55):
hobby.
It was more for fun.
I wasn't doing itprofessionally, didn't know
about astrocritography.
Met my husband on therelationship line, the love
latitude.
My husband had similarplacements with me.
We got engaged years later, moved to France in 2018.
He got an opportunity for hisjob.
Didn't know aboutastrocritography still at that
(11:17):
point.
He got an opportunity for hisjob.
Didn't know aboutastrocretography still at that
point.
Moved to France on my home line, which is like this line, all
about like finding home and likefinding where you belong and
loving where you live.
Literally felt that.
Wrote a book about it, like thewhole story of my life there.
Got into astrocretography.
Learned about all this.
His career lines, his mostsuccessful career lines, are
here.
He's always had jobopportunities in abundance with
(11:39):
career here.
You're still there, yeah.
We're still here in France, okay, yep.
And I'm now, for the last twoand a half years, I'm a
full-time world travelingastrologer, so I literally time
my own trips throughout the year, going to these lines and
timing it for the exact moment.
And it's just been opportunityafter opportunity.
(12:01):
Like it's incredible how thisworks.
I'll give an example.
I went to Helsinki, finland,because I have a lucky
relationship line there.
This is crazy, right, it soundscrazy.
I went to Helsinki, finland, which has my lucky relationship
line, so it's all about makingcontacts and meeting important
people Went there when thetiming was right, literally
(12:23):
within two days.
My like I don't want to sayguru, but like my dream teacher,
the person that I've studiedastrology with and I've looked
up to for years.
He runs the astrology podcastReally big deal.
He went into my DMs andmessaged me to be on the podcast
within two days of being onthat line.
(12:44):
I've had this opportunitycountless times.
I went to Australia just lastmonth to my career success line.
It's the publicity line is whatthey call it.
It's the Sun MC line publicity.
Literally less than 24 hours Igot an email in my inbox from,
like a major journalist and itwas like I'm not doing anything.
I'm literally setting theintention going to the line at
(13:08):
the right time and it's justlike it's almost like when you
set an intention this is what Iwant in my life and I'm going to
plan my year around going tothese lucky power places and
then I time it right too.
It's like it just feels like amagical superpower.
It really does, and I've helpedso many people do this, and I
(13:31):
hear back the stories and it'slike I'm on a mission to get
this information into as manyhands as I can, because it works
.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
And that's the power.
I just wonder how could, ifsomebody's listening and they're
like, okay, I want to?
First of all, how couldsomebody really, if they're
interested in getting theirchart read, how can somebody do
it on a budget?
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Yeah, First things
first, yeah, yeah, go to
astrocom, the free website, anduse the Astro Click travel
feature, which shows yourastrocritography map, and you'll
see all these colorful lines.
And then you can get my freecheat sheet, which I'll give you
the link.
It's helenawoodscom slash cheatsheet and that cheat sheet is
free and it'll tell you ageneral description of what all
(14:15):
of the lines mean.
And then, from there, it gets alittle bit more complex when
you add the timing.
That's more for like anintermediate, like if you want
an astrology reading, that'swhat I would recommend going to
a reading for.
But it's like, yeah, you getthat cheat sheet and you could
start reading what your mapmeans.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
And so for people I
love anyone listening knows like
I I have a show called theserena soto show.
I also had danielle page onthere, who's a friend of mine,
and we talked about astrologyand I know that some people are
very skeptical about astrologyand, I'm sure, astro cartography
as well.
So what's one myth ormisunderstanding you think
(14:54):
people have about this sort ofscience that you'd love to
clarify?
Speaker 2 (15:01):
Astrology isn't
causal, it's correlations.
All we're doing is noticingpatterns and we're observing
cycles, and so my best advicefor anyone who's skeptical about
this is just track the data.
Notice how, when you go to onecity or town like if you go to
LA versus San Diego, what's thedifference in energy?
Record that.
(15:21):
Note the observations.
You know.
If you're going on a trip andyou notice that every time you
go to that random place, there'salways seems to be this
reoccurring theme or even energythat you feel in that location,
what is that?
Write it down.
Track it in that location.
What is that?
Write it down, track it.
Don't make any judgments untilyou track the data.
I always say that with astrologybecause it's not causing
(15:43):
anything.
It's literally just a mirrorreflecting back that which is
already happening.
Think of it like a clock on thewall.
The clock isn't making it three, the clock is just showing that
it is three o'clock, and so Ilike to point that back to your
intuition.
Your intuition feels thesecallings of like.
Where do I feel called to go?
That inner compass, you know.
(16:04):
And so, when you consistentlyfeel called to go to a similar
part of the world, look at yourmap.
What's going in that area.
What's happening there?
You know it's getting curious.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
Yeah, Well, that was
my next question for you is
about how important is personalintuition versus
astrocartography when it comesto choosing the right location
for you.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Yeah, it's huge.
I mean, I always start with theinner voice.
First, the intuition.
First I ask myself what are thetop three places that I feel
really called to go to?
And then I note from therewhat's going on in those
locations.
And then I ask is that inalignment with my intentions,
with what I'm desiring and whatI'm valuing in that moment, in
(16:48):
that present chapter of life?
Am I wanting to activate orenhance that specific area,
whether it's friendship orcareer or spiritual growth?
Maybe it's a more silentmeditation, retreat, right?
We have all these differentactivations depending on the
place and what that brings up inour lives.
And so, starting with theintuition of where do I feel
called to go, to look at the mapand then ask yourself, once you
(17:12):
know the basics of what thoselines mean is this in alignment
with my goals, my intentions forthis year, et cetera?
So I always bring it back tothe intuition, because the map
is just a reflection of whatyou're already feeling, and so
if you feel called to gosomewhere, intuitively, it's
shown on your map, and viceversa.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
So if some, okay, so
you're telling me for me
personally, Madrid, Spain.
But if I, if somebody islistening and they go to and get
their reading and they look atthe map and maybe they don't
have the means to go to theirspecial place, what does it
improve somebody's life if theytake aspects of that place?
(17:55):
Let's say it's Hawaii, and ifthey start listening to Hawaiian
music or they start eatingHawaiian food or they have
Hawaiian decor, does that matter?
To bring those sort of aspectsinto their personal life here in
the United States or wherever,or like have to be in that space
?
Speaker 2 (18:12):
I mean the ideal
situation would be to be there.
However, there's what's calledremote activation, which is
bringing that energy to you, andso if you find that you have
your contacts, yourrelationships, your good friends
live in those parts of theworld, or maybe you hired out,
(18:42):
you're hiring out a team oryou're hiring out an assistant
and that person lives on thatline, that's a great way to stay
in contact with that line andget the part of the world and
you have a lucky line there, like a really magical energizing
line there.
That would be a great way toadd that energy into your home.
So it's like if you have, youknow, a certain flower, you have
plants that are from that partof the world, it's like carrying
(19:03):
, you know, those items.
The energy.
Yeah, the energy of it.
But I will say the easiest wayis obviously to be there, plan
trips there and, second, to haveconnections with people that
are in those spots.
So you know, if you are in aFacebook group or you make
friends or connect with peopleor even getting on a podcast,
you know, like just what we'redoing.
(19:24):
It's like connecting with thoselines, no matter where you are.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
So what are the lines
that usually come up in a
reading?
Like you said, for me Madridwas my Venus line.
Is that right?
Yeah, yeah, so, but I'm alreadyengaged, so maybe that okay.
So, so what does that mean?
Speaker 2 (19:41):
That can be a
honeymoon, that can be a lovely
vacation spot.
You know my husband and I we goto all of our like honeymoon,
like love destinations andthey're so much better than when
we go to hard ones, likedifficult lines.
So I mean, like a Venus linewould be ideal for most people.
Now it gets a littlecomplicated because it depends
on the person's unique Venus intheir chart.
(20:02):
Like one person's Venus isgoing to be very different from
someone else's Venus based onthe placement.
But a lot of the time peoplehave beautiful experiences on
Venus lines and Venus is a lotmore than love and romance.
It's also slow living andconnection to the senses and
beautiful things going to themuseum, buying a beautiful purse
or something that brings youjoy, connecting with your senses
(20:25):
, noticing the beauty around you.
It helps you slow down thatenergy.
Jupiter lines if you go to aJupiter line it'll be a purple
line on that map, but Jupiterbrings faith and optimism and
expansiveness.
So even if you're not lookingfor like a job opportunity or to
make important contacts, itcould be a place where you just
feel like the world's youroyster and you have so much
(20:46):
faith that everything's going towork out, even if you know the
circumstances aren't working atthat moment.
There's this like innate beliefthat it'll work out.
It's just this feeling of likeJupiter enthusiasm and hope.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
So in my reading or
my chart, what was on my Jupiter
line?
Speaker 2 (21:03):
Oh, yes, let me see.
So I'm going to pull up yourmap here.
You have a Jupiter line inMexico, a Jupiter line in Mexico
.
You have one in Oaxaca, oaxaca, mexico.
You also have one going throughAustin Texas, and that one is
let's see which one is that one?
Oh, that's a home line, sothat's more like a property
(21:24):
investment, could be a long-termproperty investment that you
make.
Let me see where else you havesome other Jupiter lines.
You have a Jupiter line, let'ssee.
You have a Jupiter line off thecoast of Australia and you
(21:44):
should have one too over here.
The big one is, yeah, mexicoand then going through Austin,
texas, and then the other one,the other, oh, you do have a
really nice one in the CanaryIslands.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
Wow so this is like.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
This is like the
Canary Islands, this is right
off of Portugal, madeira, thePortuguese island, madeira,
really beautiful spot.
You've got Jupiter on yourcensus self, so it's like that
feeling of like you justemanating Jupiter, enjoying
travel, hope, faith, abundance,seeing possibility.
That's literally on your senseof self in the Canary Islands,
(22:21):
madeira, and also Morocco too, wow, good.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Lord, I got a lot of
planning to do.
I know, have you been to Austin?
No, or Mexico.
I've never been to Austin.
Ooh, check out Austin, I knowI'm going to.
What about for people who maybelive in a place where all their
grandparents live, theirparents live?
(22:46):
They just don't get to move.
Don't get to move, you know, iswhat people were kind of I
don't want to say stuck, butthey feel really grounded in
their hometown because they havekids and they like being next
to their family.
You know what happens if theydon't fulfill their chart.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
That's okay.
You know, I'm a big believerthat your soul knows where you
want to go, and so if you feelcalled to stay grounded
somewhere, there's a reason forit.
There's something about thatplace, that story with that
chart and that location thatyou're meant to really go deep
on and explore that in thislifetime.
I'm a big believer that what'sfor you will not go past you and
(23:29):
you can't mess this life up atall.
So I believe that you knowwherever you are, there you are,
you're meant to be there, andso if you don't feel the call or
you can't, you know, go,there's a reason you're meant to
be there.
There is an additionaltechnique that's really cool and
this is for people who arechecking out neighborhoods.
It's called local spaceastrology and it basically shows
(23:51):
you like, what neighborhoods, what streets, what towns to go
to nearby.
So it's a cool way to have likea micro version of this so that
you don't have to go super far.
Say it again.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
It's called Local
Space Astrology, oh my gosh.
Okay, so that's really good toknow, and that you can get
online too, yeah online.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
You can just go to
astrocom right next to the Astro
Click Travel.
That's your Astro Map.
But if you go to the next oneit'll say Local Space Astrology.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Oh my God, Helena,
this is so fascinating to me.
I mean I feel like I'm going togo look and see because I'm
curious.
There are so many places in mylife and music that I'm drawn to
that I have no idea why and Ialways thought maybe it was like
my past life.
But it's funny to think thatmaybe it is my astrocartography
of my soul wanting to go thereand your astrocartography
(24:48):
showing all that.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
I mean.
I personally have seen so manyclients say I feel like I've had
a past life in this part of theworld.
Can you check this for me?
And it's always certainspecific lines.
They're called IC lines, specifically the nodes.
So you have one actually whereyou are in California and then
there's the Pluto IC line.
So if you see those lines onyour map, they may be places
(25:10):
where you feel a deep calling toexplore that part of the world
because there is some sort ofsoul, past life connection.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
I love it.
So I know that you have a waitlist for people to get a reading
, but you said you opened upyour calendar, so if anybody is
listening and they want to get areading, you're in Paris.
You've been there for a whilenow Seven years, seven years but
you probably read people allover the world All over.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
Yeah, and I'm a night
owl so I work late at night to
suit a lot of time zones.
But yeah, I've lived all overFrance, corsica, biarritz, all
of the different latitudes tooand you go a little bit north, a
little bit south.
It really changes the story, soit's been very exciting.
But, yeah, I do readings.
I also because my waitlist islong.
(25:57):
You can always get on thewaitlist, but I also have a
directory of readers that I'vetrained through my certification
program and my courses, so youcan always.
If you need a really quickreading as soon as possible and
you don't have time to wait onthe waitlist, you can always
book with one of my readers andthen I post every day on YouTube
.
I have a YouTube channel whereI vlog all my travels and the
astrocartography.
I have a podcast and Instagram.
(26:18):
So I'm all the places.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
Okay.
So if anybody's listening andthey're driving now, in the show
notes I will have Helena'sinformation her Instagram, her
YouTube, her podcast and whereyou can get the readings, and
I'll also put in the notes toAstro.
So if you want to get your freeAstro cartography reading, I'll
point you towards that.
Thank you so much, helena.
