The ascension of Jesus is a pivotal event in redemptive history, bringing immense benefits to believers. Though the disciples initially mourned his departure, Jesus’ ascension allowed him to send the Holy Spirit, intercede for believers, and prepare a place in heaven. This new mode of Christ’s presence empowers the church to carry out his mission, do greater works, and experience the fullness of his blessings.
