We unconsciously forge our ego from our habits—then, like slaves, we obey them.
We lock ourselves in a prison of repetition… and forget we hold the key.

As children, we played many roles with joy. But as adults, we harden into a single character—a robot programmed to:

Offer fake smiles on cue

Reply "Good" when asked "How are you?"

Perform coolness for approval

Act like an actor starving for applause

We’ve forgotten how to take a vacation from our own ego.

The Cost of Performance
Suicides often trace back to the isolation of constant acting.
But when we’re authentic:

We experience real love more deeply

Others understand us (because we finally show who we are)

No energy is wasted on maintaining a facade

Vulnerability dissolves ego. A fake smile convinces no one; real appreciation does.

Ego is a Tool—Not an Identity
At different ages, we need different habits (and egos). Clinging to one rigid version of ourselves stifles growth.

Stop rehearsing the same responses—seek new answers to old problems.

Stop styling your ego—like polishing a cage instead of stepping outside it.

The Choice
You can:

Design a "perfect" character (and exhaust yourself performing it), or

Change freely—shedding old skins like a snake.

But best of all? Be authentic.
When you do, you’ll find:

Salesmen close deals not with tricks, but with truth

Relationships thrive without scripts

Life feels lighter because you’re no longer the director, actor, and critic of your own show
