“My father taught me that when I am walking I should always walk like I’m going somewhere.” - Brandon Washington
Michael’s guest on today’s podcast is Pastor Brandon Washington - a church planter and the pastor of preaching and vision at The Embassy Church in Denver, Colorado. He holds a master’s degree in systematic theology from Denver Seminary.
Pastor Washington feels that, as preachers, when they observe and experience hopelessness and frustration - especially the kind that our nation has seen throughout 2020, they must look at them through the lens of Scripture—and address them from the pulpit. He feels it is his divine calling. Amid injustice and protests, the preacher must say something—so he does because the gospel must redeem every aspect of brokenness in the world. This is the only fruitful word.
