After being absent for a few weeks, I'm back at it-- I figured if Jimmy Fallon could take a week off, I could take four. Anyhow, after heading up to Gold Rush Country and watching lots of NatGeo and Ken Burns documentaries, I've been wanting to get out of the city and head into the American Wilderness. This week features music that is ideal for playing on a long road trip as you look at the American landscape from a moving window. The original mix was about three times the length-- if you're interested in hearing more songs, please let me know and I'll share the rest of the songs that didn't make the cut. Thanks for listening! Song listing: 1. Laura Veirs - America 2. Emma Louise - Boy 3. Iron & Wine - Boy With A Coin 4. Air Review - America's Son 5. Paul McCartney - Heart Of The Country 6. Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros - Johnny Appleseed 7. Dawn Landes - Try to Make a Fire Burn Again 8. Mississippi John Hurt - Lonesome Valley 9. Elizabeth Cotten - Freight Train 10. Hank Williams - I Saw The Light 11. Neil Young - If You Could Only Read My Mind Questions/comments/requests? @zapataphoto // #RicardoFromFullerton *I'm having trouble with iTunes and my RSS feed, so until then please send xml help!*
