The consentus online is that it was dog ship. Didn't
advance anything. No, I'm just saying, like, listen, I was
on raj dot com.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Match actually advanced something. So that's not even accurate.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
That's fucking stupid. Didn't advance anything.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
Nothing happened, really okay.
Speaker 5 (02:59):
Nothing happened your dirty Busters, Mike Carvings, all the lads
and rumors, the dumb Donny did it suck?

Really, you don't want to know, brother, you have fan
emails so much more.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
This is the reason we forget smarts is because you
won't add it here, and then I don't reference it.
Nobody you added here. This is where it's supposed to
be added.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
So I afterwards the.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Last time you forgot smarks and I was like, and
you're like, all right, I'm going off the phone and
go do a draft, and I'm like, we didn't do smarks.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
No, I did. Get off the phone. I came back
and you're like, go dick ahead. I'm like, what, okay,
you actually put an effort for once gathered?
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Well not really, you just fucking took what people sent
to you.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
No.
Speaker 2 (04:07):

I promise you if you go watch our Void Crew
v o I D Crew video, you will laugh, you
(05:57):
will have fun. Is it doesn't matter the game. When
you get us dumb motherfuckers together, we have a really
good time. And it comes across in that video probably
is one of our better ones. And that game was
fucking mid dude, and we had a great time. Mike,
I jumped through space to land on a fucking DEARYLIC satellite.
Can you believe it?
Speaker 1 (06:14):
It was great?
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Then it's called Void Crew. Okay, yeah, it's a. It's a.
It's mid as fuck. The game will probably never ever
play it again, but for thirty minutes we made this
fucking blame game of classic, disclaiming classic. I can't speak
with the ship I ever smoked more weed. Let's move
on to w W smoke.
Speaker 7 (06:35):
We're gonna put this on an order from w You're
about to have a discussion about the one just makes.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Sense in the art on me? Who watched the who's
catching it on?
Speaker 7 (06:45):
The march just takes someone cutting up the rush, blew up,
the smacked down on the floor on.
Speaker 5 (06:51):
The collision course with the number one the ring for
the latest report Ring Rush.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
Guys, it's time to wi a we and more importantly
this week ae W it is I. You say what
you want, but it's just a better show. It's a
better product overall, right now, it's it's it's more consistent.
The storylines are better, the character development is better. The
things that I like in wrestling are better in AW.
(07:21):
I'm just telling the truth. Man, you you got, you
had your wrestling fun. It was mid Backlash sucked, being honest,
what a waste of my fucking time. I could have
not watched it have been exactly the way the place
I was, except for them shoehorning Jeff Cobbin somewhere he
didn't belong. Really, you can.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Say you can say that about literally any wrestling show.
You could not watch it and be the same in
your life as you were before.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
No, No, in terms of storyline, in terms of where
it was before. Like if I had just missed that
event but I kept watching the programming, I wouldn't have missed.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
Anything about any showcap what happened.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
That's not true backlash. Backlash was Halloween three okay, completely unnecessary,
meant nothing to the story, and was just there for
fucking namesake, that's all.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
What So just where there isn't a title change, this
is what you know.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
No, you've advanced the story. Did you advance where? Where? Well?
Where were? Well? Show it to me when we go
through it, because I don't see I will easily just
like your point. Sabu died and that's terribly sad. Sixty
years old he was. He was in his retirement match
(08:33):
just what a month ago Wrestling Weekend.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Yeah, that's crazy.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Crazy, Joey, did you watch the matches, Joe Janella?
Speaker 3 (08:43):
I saw the clips, did not watch it, but I
saw a lot of the discourse coming out of it.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
I saw the match. It was some brutal stuff. The
spot on this cement very brutal. Yeah, looking back now,
look at like you know he died pretty soon after that.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
I can head first in that.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Yeah, it was definitely part of it. Yeah, I'll speak
about Sabu for just a hot moment if you don't mind,
as an ECW fan, more so as a fan because
before I really knew Saboo as a E c W guy.
He was introduced to me as the frontier guy, right,
(09:22):
so he here's the tapes of this guy in Japan,
Terry funk Onita Saboo, and you're like, holy shit, Okay,
this guy's fucking cool. Ast shit. I thought Taz was
the best. I thought Taz was the coolest in the
right dude. Well, no, no, once he became like he
came in as the Tasmanica and then once he became
(09:43):
standing in the corner arms cross, I'm waiting to kill you.
Then supe ples the shit out of eath the death.
When they brought in Sabu, he had this like he
was on like a gurney thing and he had the
annibal lecter. Yeah, fucking mascot. Man. It was such an aura.
And again when I think of wrestling, oh yeah, well,
(10:07):
I mean like, well, no, no, you say or in
a new way, but I say, or in like Frank
Sinatra type fifties last yes, he's gotten, are you? I'm
not so Saboo. To me, Sabo was a great represent
He wasn't the only representation. There was a bunch of
(10:28):
representation for e W. For me, but that style of
wrestling to me, the chair, the setting the chair up,
the jumping off the chair onto the ropes, and the
back flip right moon salt man. It was always fucking up.
That dude fucked up more than anybody I ever saw
in my life. It always worked. I will never ever forget.
(10:53):
He did a moon salt off the thing onto somebody
who was on a stretch or off the ring, onto
some stretching the outside, and he hit both his shins
on the top of the guardrail, which sounded like two
aluminum bats. He was like duke, and he just goes right,
(11:14):
Terry Funk. He jumps into the corner, does his chair
thing into the corner, cutches under where your mother used
to grab you when you were beann under your arm
and fucking rips it until he's gushing blood, taking swinging
ddts on chairs from Terry Funk while wrapping himself up.
The dude was certifiably insane. He fought John Cena too,
(11:37):
certifiably insane. W W he well, because he lets that
movie in the ring, that's a wonderful thing for se.
He also stole RvDs title ring, but I will say
that and a little bit of blood a little bit
of shit on the curtains is nothing big, right, little
bit blood little bit. So So here's the here's here's
(11:59):
here's the honest thing about Sabu. To me, Sabo is
a perfect representation of E c W in the late nineties.
He was too far out of line, he was too
much for TV, he was too rough around the edges.
He was an outsider and so was ECW. And he
(12:20):
was that style and he was perfect for it. He
understood everything that there was to know about that crowd
and how to work them and how to just you
give your body and you will live for fucking ever.
Like you said, Sabu has died, but Sabu will never
die because his name will live on in as wrestling.
Fans see him punk out there refersenting everybody. When you
(12:41):
see something like that, you're like, oh, he never really
made it and in a top, top company, right, That's
what people I've seen say over a couple of the
last couple of fucking days.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
Guess what.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
Guess what. Every person you love loved him, Every star
that you respect in this business was like, damn, he
played a big part and kind of like what we
do today. So there's a lot of hats hip been
going up to someone like this, and for us sixty
years old, that's leads a little younger than my father
like that. I grew up watching this dude on tapes
(13:13):
and then Channels sixteen at like two am, and shit,
this is a this is part of our childhood. If
you liked wrestling in the nineties, Saboo was part of it.
And this is honestly him, of all people, in a
way surprised he lasted this long. Happy he did. It's
sad that he's gone, but poetically just weeks after his
(13:34):
last match, I'm almost okay with this. I mean, I
feel like it's good closure.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
It's probably if you gave him the choice on how
to go out, getting to have that last match, I'm
sure would have been part of it.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
He You know, you.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
Made some good points, Donny, absolutely, and one of them
is he's not the name value from that time period
of wrestling, like the household name like the Stone Cold
or the Rock or the Undertaker or whatever. But you
can argue he's as influential as almost anyone from that
time period because he introduced and popularized a type of
(14:13):
wrestling that wasn't really seen in North America until then.
His style of wrestling. Like when you think of ECW,
in the style of wrestling that it brought, he's who
you think of. There's a few guys that are just
synonymous with ECW and what it was, and he's one
of them. And there are many wrestlers who have talked
(14:33):
about how much he influenced them.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
How like sammy's Ain.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
You wouldn't think Samy's Ain is a big Saboo guy,
but he is. He was waxing poetic about what he did.
So the influence he had on wrestling, that hardcore style,
that risk taking style that has become commonplace in wrestling now.
If it wasn't for him, maybe we don't get there
in the way that we did. For me personally, I
(14:59):
was introduced to set Boo not by seeing him on TV,
but by having like the pro wrestling illustrateds in the
magazines when I was a kid. So I started watching
watching wrestling in like ninety five, and I would get
those and you'd have like the top ten lists in
the back for like each promotion, and you'd see who
it's in there. You'd read kind of through the articles
and stuff and I was seeing stuff about Saboo and
(15:20):
that's how I first learned about him. And then he
shows up in WWF in ninety seven as part as
the invasion angle with ECW jumping off the fucking raw
letters in the entrance way one of the most iconic
moments in raw history hit. The fact that he could
even pull that off was unbelievable. And then, you know,
a little after that is when I started being able
(15:42):
to watch ECW. I probably got into ECW around like
ninety eight and started seeing some of the pay per
views and stuff on the scrambler box.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
You know before.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
And then it ended up going to TNN at the
end and it wasn't as good, but I was still
watching it.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Let me say something, this is not the time place
for that, But the TNN, E c W, Steve Carino
and all that shit, I really like that too. There's
a time and place where it too. It's not that
it was so fun, but it wasn't as that was
like the justin Kreble right, Yes, well, I mean just.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
The even returned from w CW in that era.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
Well, and Steve Corino and Dusty did their thing there.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
It was good.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
It wasn't as good.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
But regardless, Sabu a trailblazer in pro wrestling. Again, doesn't
have doesn't have the name recognition. If people are gonna
name their fucking ten, twenty thirty fifty best wrestlers of
all time, maybe a lot of time they're not going
to mention Sabo. But you know, people who know wrestling
and people who have been fans of wrestling since that
(16:47):
time period, they they understand what he meant to the evolution.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
Of the business. Evolution. Uh bja man.
Speaker 5 (16:55):
It's sad, so said first sixty years old, except that's
so young. But growing up I was late, little late
to wrestling.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
Then you guys, so you know early two thousand nine nine, you.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
Said you started ninety four.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
I said, that was my first watch Undertaker. Undertaker, I remember,
but that's not when I really became a fan.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
I don't think you do. Remember if I just.
Speaker 5 (17:17):
Made a two thousand video game, that's when I became
a fan, die hard I'm here today and then immediately
going on like message boards and wanting to learn all
about wrestling.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
And you hear you became hold on real quick. You
became unbearable so quickly. Absolutely, you played the wrestling video
game and then hit a message board. Oh became an
instant smart He's like man, and you'll never believe it.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
We'll get to that. We'll get to that. But reading
and hearing about Boo and I was like you say
or die? There was a mystique around yeah, and it
was like hole. I was like, holy shit, I gotta
see what this guy was all about.
Speaker 5 (18:02):
Because you you just hear like the most hardcoorus ship
and the death Man, like all the cherish spots and
the moon salts he had.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
The gear was just so cool.
Speaker 5 (18:10):
Everything about Saboo was so cool and in that era
was everything that you were looking for from that hardcore element.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
Like I said, introducing it to so many people.
Speaker 5 (18:20):
And just no fear whatsoever. Did not give a fuck
about his body, didn't give a fuck about anyone else's body.
I mean the clip of ben Wah dropping him on
his head, breaking his neck was just like that's lived
in my memory for decades.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
The crazy part is his body was so covered in
scarc that you couldn't hide it.
Speaker 5 (18:42):
You know, he was You didn't fuck with him and
that was the thing. It added so much like you
do not want to fuck with this guy and I
remember getting the Deep Impact E CW compilation DVD Donny
and Terry Funk and Sabu Barbara match. Yeah, I sat
there and I watched this, and immediately that day at dinner,
(19:03):
I said to my parents, you gotta watch this with.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
Me, and they're like, the wrestling right there, they.
Speaker 5 (19:11):
Said, and watched this whole match, and my parents like,
this is what the fuck you're watching?
Speaker 1 (19:15):
I was like, hell, yeah, this is what. I was like,
how cool is this?
Speaker 5 (19:18):
And they're like, well, we're good as his fucking bicep
is torn apart. It was in fucking sane that match.
I I love that match so much and.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
Saboo, that is just it is what Sabo is all about.
Speaker 5 (19:33):
And if you like hardcore wrestling, there was very few
better and more impactful than Sabo. And like you said, Donnie,
even the botches, it's just all fucking because every time
he went to do, every time he was even setting
something up to do, I was like, well, are you
gonna fuck this up?
Speaker 1 (19:50):
Are you gonna nail this? And no matter what, I
am gonna be anchored, fucking tamed.
Speaker 5 (19:55):
But well hold on, hold on, you know, the suicidal
I'm a silage and I was like, holy, like, what
a fucking name. So cool and it fits perfectly because
it suicidal, Okay, I'll kill myself whatever. Like it just
didn't nothing matter to Saboo and the whole thing with
his character when I was like, you know, watching it's like,
(20:18):
I don't think he cares about winning.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
I think he just.
Speaker 5 (20:20):
Wants to fucking hurt you, and honestly, and in wrestling,
when it comes to that solid wrestling, that matters more
because he's now the underdog. He was always the underdog
in every match to me, and I was rooting for
him to win. But even if he didn't win, I
was like, you know what, you fuck it. You still
fucking gave that guy hell so too man, you know
(20:40):
rip because he, like you said, like one of the
most influential people in fucking wrestling and never got his
true his true credit for that really because in that
time r VD was the most popular guy. Yeah, and
it was more power, definitely, absolutely, and he's doing a
lot of the same things, far more polished.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
But I mean Hyabusa.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
Yeah, RVD had more charisma through absolutely that was he
was a lot different.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
Charismatic and ship just not he can't cut a promo.
But he's charismatic, but he was.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
He was marketable, one with the good looks that could
be your top guy for any company. And Sabu was
like the guy you keep sucking locked in the basement.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
He's so cool.
Speaker 5 (21:28):
He's the guy who said, oh my god, it's so cool.
They just came up with the coolest ship for him.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
So his would have been around like in his.
Speaker 5 (21:38):
Prime, unbelievable and like you said when he was in
when he was in w W and facing Johnson one
night stand, like as someone you didn't really get to
who didn't get to watch him, was only watching matches back,
I was like, this is the coolest ship that Sabo
was in w W.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
If it didn't happen, nobody would believe that it happened
that match there wasn't.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
So two two things I got from what you said.
The number one the batches. The one thing that I
loved about E. C W was that was truly where
like fans became part of the show, right they would
and when he would fuck up, when you the you
fucked up stuff would happen and then he would like
just sit there like put the cherir ones on his
face and just do a like drop real quick, like
(22:19):
he fucked it up, and he's like you get frustrated
to do something real hard and be like fuck you
to the crowd. That was That was a part of
the easy he like really did more so than maybe
anybody else from a wrestling perspective. Sandman had the song
and Tommy Dreamer had the moments, but Saboo like in
matches between you fucked up and like the holy shit
(22:40):
moments he was.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
He was like a king if you think ECW style,
That's who I think of so over anybody else.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
So for me, I think that one part of him
that's super underrated. That also we just mentioned is he
loved Barboier all the time. There's something about every time
that motherfucker's pants got ripped inside it was every time
it just looks it made it look so much more
brutal that he was. It was like ripping his pants,
like off his pants. Yeah, it was just a huge
(23:12):
part of who he was. Super sad yo with.
Speaker 5 (23:16):
Bill Alfonso and just getting hyped up. He points to
the fus like everything.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
Was just so cool.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
Can I give us? Can I We'll move on now,
But I got one quick story before we go on
extreme rising. Do you remember that? Remember when I went
to shame Ra Pizza Shamee Dugs. There was the first one,
and then there was the second one, yes, and then
just incredible was passed out in the pisser. So the
(23:43):
third one, we all have tickets for it, YadA YadA,
gotta it gets canceled. Right. A friend of mine, guy
that I know he was like, had paid for meat
and greet tickets and was having trouble getting a refund,
reached out to several people saying, you know, of like
what the fuck is going on? Right? He was getting
nowhere with it? Saboo that same weekend is like, okay,
(24:06):
I don't have a book in here. Now I'm going
to go to this other place in Jersey pretty close, right.
So dude reached out to Sabo online and said, hey, uh,
do you are you gonna be at this thing? Like
I had fucking tickets to meet you here, like and
you know, I was overing my kid, but like if
you if you're there, I'd like to meet you, like
and he wasn't off for meet and greets or anything
like that. Dude said, hey, Sabu said find me, tickets
(24:28):
are on me. He fucking paid for his tickets, sat
down and he signed his ship, took the time, took
care of and like that, and then fucking yeah, and
then just went about fucking beating the ship out of
himself in front of eighty people in New Jersey. Sam,
Who's all those.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Guys were like, Depending on the day, you hear like
stories about how he was like either he's like the
nicest guy in the world. There he's a fucking asshole,
or he's.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
Coming down from something and he's you know, he's coming down. Yes,
that's everybody. Every everybody who's got the drug friend knows
there's two the two versions. He's high or he's coming
down from being high and looking to get high.
Speaker 5 (25:04):
And that was when after e c W, when you
know that everyone's like kind of looking for work all
almost it's just these indies and w W is the top,
and it was like, this is ever gonna go to
w It was always all these stories of like, well,
difficult to work with, or his style is not going
to match the W or all the fucking drugs, the programming,
like all the advertisements, the sponsors, they're not gonna want.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
And he fucking finally show it up. Cool as fucking ship.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
I think he was only around for like a year,
but it's cool that he got to have like because
like a guy like nu Jack never got that.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
It's cool that got that he got to have that.
I don't think them though, got to have U WrestleMania,
So it's is a far better wrestler.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
He actually had wrestling merit, but they had a lot
of similar kind of.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
At the end they were yes, they were hardcore specialists
by the end, but I mean nu Jack was just
simply slicing your head open. Yeah, while the song blared
in the background the whole time. Fucking never forget all right,
But yes, that's listen. I said, I think it's if
it's just age, well, I was gonna say, if you're
(26:13):
a certain age, this really hits home because number one,
the age is like the next generation above us, and
this guy was part of most of our life. You're
in if you're in your thirties, forties, fifties, like he
was part of your wrestling experience during the most important
time ever. So he's like he's a supporting character the
(26:36):
best time in wrestling history. So then he's and that's sad.
So yeah, very sad. All right, well, backlash also sad,
but like in the in the Trump Way where he
goes sad, it's sad four to ten. Yeah, so let's
sound let's do eight match moment. Every politician does match
moment overall? Great?
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Your politician?
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Am I a politician? No? I don't want Here's the problem.
I don't lie enough. I'm too real for this. But
I'm too real for the streets. That's what I've been told.
I'm just too real. People don't like it. People don't
like when I just tell facts. They're like, oh, that's prejudice,
and I'm like, no, it's facts. Jacob Fatou wins, but
(27:20):
he's like, hey, I got Jeff Cobb now, and I'm like,
this don't make sense.
Speaker 3 (27:25):
Why does that not make sense?
Speaker 2 (27:26):
Why is Jeff Cobb helping Jacob Fatto the strongest doing.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
It at the order of solo. So we haven't got
the explanation yet.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
We're gonna get I don't think.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
I don't know if you know this. But sometimes there's
a stable and they I don't remember.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
Here, I see it over here with.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
I want to say really quick, I want to see
really quick you can have you can have your opinions
on what you didn't like about the show. It's legit
fucking stupid to cry about Jeff Cobbs showing up to
help Jacob.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
I don't think it makes we all love We all love.
Speaker 3 (27:59):
Jeff and we should be hyped that he's there.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
I am very hyped that he's on a television program
that I can watch on a regular basis. I love
Jeff Copp. The problem for me is I don't think
this storyline makes sense as an introductory storyline. Here here,
here's a good example. I like Becky Lynch, She's one
of my favorite goyles in wrestling history. Wow, I think
her current storyline sucks. Ass. So Jeff Cobb love him,
(28:24):
He's incredible. Can't wait to see the fucking tour of
the Islands. This sucks. This was not a good introduction.
I think it makes Jacob Fattou look like an afterthought.
I think, if what is Jeff Cobb gonna fight Jacob
Fattou is solo Sakoa turning on Jacob Fattou, Maybe I
don't want any of this. You took the bloodline and
you fucking knwed them. You took Jacob Fatu is portrayed
(28:46):
as one of the strongest characters in the fucking world
fighting against Romanines and shit put him in the secondary
title feud, and none of this feels that important.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
That's why they're actually reviving the if anything by introducing
Jeff Cobb into this.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Because it went from basically that he's from Hawaii.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
First of all, this match was fucking awesome to me.
It was the best match of the night the USA.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
Drew McIntyre too, This is fucking He's so far Jacob
and Drew McIntyre so far above this.
Speaker 3 (29:16):
All four of them were great in this match, really
enjoyed it. And the Jeff Cobb thing was great.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
We love Jeff Cobb for a very long time.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
Matunza the monster guy guys.
Speaker 3 (29:30):
Yeah, one of the fucking greatest characters of all time.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
And Jeff Cobb is the one that made it work.
And he was fucking great. And he shows up, uh
beats up l A Knight. We don't know what's going
on here, like he did it at the behest of
solasa CoA Jacob Flato, he takes advantage, he wins. He's
not sure what's going on here, and it's a very
intriguing story moving forward. Did Solo go behind Jacob fatuus
back to do this? Did he bring in Jeff Cobbs
(29:56):
so he can kind of cast Jacob Fattou aside and
take back over the group. We don't know, but we're
gonna get that explanation. And to me, that's very interesting
because we love Jacob Fatto, we love Jeff Cobb, I know,
at least Beg and I really like Solo Socoa, So
I think it's I think it's an interesting story.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
They just they have deserved better for longer. So I'm
I'm glad that there's something happening. I just think shooharning
Jeff copy was not the answer. BJA.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
I don't think it's shoot warning.
Speaker 5 (30:26):
I'm enjoying the Solo Jacob story atlantic.
Speaker 1 (30:29):
I forget if it was last week Mike on SmackDown.
Speaker 5 (30:31):
Or for it was two weeks ago, but Solo was
backstage with fucking all this and it was trying to
like set. Something was like, oh, this isn't fair, and
I think that's when he made the pail four way
and so it was just like, you know, you're really
fucking messing up with usually screwing with solo with Jacob,
and Nick's like, no, you're doing that.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
You're the one screwing with Jacob fattou.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
So Solo was like, oh, it should be a singles
match against Drew because Drew won in a World contender.
He's like, oh, you're right, Drew did win, So I'm
gonna make it a fatal four ways and so fucked over.
Speaker 5 (31:08):
So I really enjoyed that, and so to me, Solo
was saying, like, I need to rebuild my stable and
reaffirm my authority here. I'm gonna bring Jeff Cobbin. We're
gonna make sure jacobatu retains a championship. Wasn't to undermine
was to try to make sure Jacob wins when the
odds ACKed against you when I did that, so I
think there's a lot of See, Donny wouldn't understand storytelling
(31:31):
like that.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
To me, that was like the best thing on the show.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
So I don't know how you could complain about it.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
I just showed you how you could. You did, but
it happened.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
And to me, Donnie, like you want Jacob five too.
Speaker 5 (31:46):
You're saying he's above all this, Well, that's the way
that you get him out of underneath Solo's little control
and and Jeff Cobb then is going after Jacobi Tou
in the championship, and then you have Jacoba two on
his own, like we Actually you do want him on
his own because he is great and he can be
on his own. He has all the charisma, the skills
and everything to do that. And for him to eventually
(32:07):
lose a championship if he gets screwed by Solo against
Jeff Cobb and then Jacob Fattou goes, you know, and
does something else, that's the way to do it.
Speaker 3 (32:14):
It would be awesome to me if they because Bronson
Reid worked with them, he was in War Games. If
when he's healthy, bring him back in. So now you
got Solo with Bronson Reid and Jeff Cobb and Jacob
Fattuu going against that.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
That'd be pretty sick. I do like stables, m hun.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
And big meaty men, which all of them are right.
They're gonna slap meat so hard.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Do you see Biggie fighting for women's Yeah stuff. He's
a good. Honestly, he might be one of.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
The last engagement engaged.
Speaker 3 (32:49):
I don't know, he's engaged to me and m sister.
Speaker 2 (32:53):
Oh that's oh wow. Ira Valkyria beat Becky Lynch by pinfall.
I'm gonna jump in here and say these words right
now and just follow along with me and give me
this platform. I like Lyra's wrestling ability, and I like
(33:18):
Becky Lynch. There's a character as a wrestler. The whole thing.
This was a little sub part of me. Not great,
felt like a good television type main event. I felt
like it went a little felt like it went a
little a little long. It definite, and I hated the ending.
(33:39):
So I mean, I can't get I mean like bad. Right,
So if this was a RAW main event, I would
have been like, Okay, pretty damn good main event for
Raw in this position on this card, with her beating
Becky right after all the coming the back stuff and
turn the heels there coming to the back, right, I
(34:01):
just feel like it's it wasn't good. Matt was definitely good.
Match was fine in a vacuum, but I don't like
it at all.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
Looking overall, here's here's my stance on it going in.
I think we all thought Becky would win, correct, Yeah,
that's the storyline said, Well, no, necessarily we all would
have been happy. We certainly would have been happy Becky
would have won. I would have been fine with that decision.
But based on the follow up, I think it's it's
(34:34):
fine what we got because Lyra won, but it's like, oh,
she kind of you know, Becky slipped out of Banana Peel,
got caught in a little roll up, and then he
immediately and then she immediately beat the funk out of Lyra,
and then she talked about Lyra and raw, So we're
obviously getting a rematch, and okay, Becky could go in
and she could have her first mech against Lyra and
(34:56):
beat her right away and that's fine, or you get
Larra a huge win again Becky to start, so that
raises her stock, and then when Becky does beat her,
which is probably in their next match, then it's a
bigger win for Becky arguably. So I think it's fine.
I thought the match was very good. Yes, it was
a little bit long, but I don't have a problem
(35:16):
with the match or how it went, especially if the
goal here is still for Becky to win the title.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
PJ poop match.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
I would not say it was a poop match.
Speaker 5 (35:25):
It definitely went at least five minutes too long, as
far as I'm concerned, it was.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
A good match.
Speaker 5 (35:31):
I do agree with Donnie's overall sentiment not just about
this match, but for the first four matches on this
card of like this is a raw SmackDown just made
the event, and I was very surprised that Becky lost
and clean. But in hindsight, with the after match fucking
arm breaking essentially right and the promo, I do feel
(35:54):
like it's not what I expected in Becky coming back.
It's I think it's a fine storyline of her. You
were gone for essentially a year.
Speaker 1 (36:05):
You really only the only match you've won.
Speaker 5 (36:07):
Is because there was a tag team and it was
by surprise essentially, And so it's like, have.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
You lost a step?
Speaker 5 (36:13):
Do you have to kick it up a notch and
your heel gimmick to be able to almost like what
John seems doing, of like I need to get the
upper hands somehow, and however I have to do it,
I will do it. I always enjoy those storylines, and
so I'm gonna break this girl's arm if that's what
I have to do. So I'm okay with the aftermath
of it. It was just very surprising. I did not
expect it, and there's nothing wrong about that. And so,
(36:36):
like Mike said, though you you give Lyra a big
win she needs, Like if she just lost to Becky,
he'd be like, all right, you're a fucking after thought.
Speaker 1 (36:42):
But her winning now, I do agree, she isn't.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
I'll think about it, lose the next time. And then
she did have to thought after that one.
Speaker 3 (36:50):
Not necessarily because they will. She's been pushing her like crazy.
She that's fine, but that ring, but she her she
does not have the personality, but they love her and
they have pushed her in a big way. And there's
no denying that.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Oh I know. One said, obviously she's getting pushed. It
ain't working, is what I'm saying. You can push somebody
that no one gives a ship.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
I don't know that. I don't think she has them
in the ring to really stand out.
Speaker 2 (37:20):
Well, she comes out. When she comes out, the crowd.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
Goes, man, if you actually want to, I'm not the
hugest Lyra fan.
Speaker 2 (37:29):
But did you say getting a reaction, did you say
about the hugest Liary, You're not the hugest.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
Not the hues been great?
Speaker 2 (37:38):
How is that? Idiot?
Speaker 1 (37:40):
Julia would have been a great person for the spot.
Speaker 2 (37:45):
Any personality or.
Speaker 5 (37:49):
You had someone like that, like Jewish right, they would
be able to really.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
Benefit from this type of spot. Lyra just she's just
kind of there.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
Dominic mystereo defeated Penta Mike.
Speaker 1 (38:07):
Yeah, those entertaining match time.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
I think this one, above maybe all the others, was
definitely like the a raw type of match. Yeah, Dominic
I had proven more and more right about this guy
every single time he turned in a great performance. He
could do way more than people thought that he could
do in the ring. Donnie thought Hook was better.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
Than this guy.
Speaker 3 (38:33):
Is fun match, and I like Americano getting involved and
again another thing that is built out of a match
that was on this card. We're getting Eland Americano against
Penta coming out of this, which.
Speaker 2 (38:46):
Will be awesome.
Speaker 3 (38:47):
So and I love that we're still doing the thing.
He faced Chad Gable on Raw and uh while Elgrandi
Americano was out on excursion in Mexico. That's why he
couldn't be there on Raw, but Chad Gable was there
to pick up the slack and face and Gable against
Penta has been awesome the two times we've gotten it.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
So So while I agree with I'm really enjoying the
pieces here. The match was just whatever, and I'm not
in love with you handing pent to losses in any
former fashion at this point. I mean, he was, I understand,
I understand, I really do. I just don't want to
be hanging losses.
Speaker 1 (39:23):
Yeah, you're right.
Speaker 3 (39:24):
I mean everybody should whatever match.
Speaker 2 (39:27):
New guys. No, no, no, no, it's not because new
guys or returning people should be booked strong as they
come in. That's my thought for months.
Speaker 5 (39:38):
He was, it's been here since January sixth, and he's
won a lot of matches.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
He really was January he was yes, and he was
then I've had an interrection since.
Speaker 1 (39:49):
Uh, I guess, but.
Speaker 2 (39:54):
Inward it always does for me. You don't you don't have.
Speaker 5 (39:58):
An any This is an entertaining match.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
It was.
Speaker 1 (40:05):
It was absolutely this whole card felt.
Speaker 2 (40:09):
Like, yeah, I won't even say this, it was this
is nine.
Speaker 1 (40:14):
Yeah, Dom. That was definitely a lot better than I
thought he was. I mean, he did a.
Speaker 5 (40:20):
Fucking suicide dive that then was went right into a
d d T.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
Yeah, and I was like that and it was fucking clean.
I was like, holy ship, that was awesome. Replay.
Speaker 2 (40:30):
He's very good at what he does. He's no look,
but he's pretty good.
Speaker 5 (40:35):
And he and to me, like he just won the championship.
Everyone was so about him the rest when you win
the championship that you just took it off for him
just to put it on Pana. I think you might
get a little backlash on that. So I think this
actually was beneficial for everyone. And you still have this
kind of there's something with obviously domin Finn Valor that
eventually someone's gonna.
Speaker 1 (40:54):
Turn on the other like here, what lives, don't care
it lives.
Speaker 2 (41:00):
They're like, you guys have like you know, you're you're
you're fucking on screen, so like, you know, is there
any kind of chemistry there? And she's like, I'm not
going to deny it, but yeah there is. That's a
fake quote, brother, Is that for real? I get fool
all the time.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
George is a fake quote.
Speaker 2 (41:18):
Earlier guys they listen something, they guess.
Speaker 1 (41:24):
You're online when dude, honestly, I just he's married.
Speaker 2 (41:29):
Oh that stopped everyone ship. I remember all.
Speaker 3 (41:35):
He's a great person.
Speaker 2 (41:36):
He wouldn't do that. Yeah, it's open. He's tearing through
the whole roster. Crazy, who's the who's the girl with
live rocking to get that? Did you see that raw?
Speaker 3 (41:48):
He's like, hey, you know, since it lives not around me,
if you want to hang out later, you can put
it on your credit card. I promise we'll put you back.
Speaker 2 (41:56):
Carlito. Carlito is doing since he came back. You know,
it's been a hit or miss, but every time he's
on screened doing something, he's got the New day philosophy
where it's like I'm gonna I'm gonna make an l
O L. I'm gonna do something to where my five
seconds you remember, and how about woods kill. He's just
like a funny lack. He's like our truth at Yeah,
(42:17):
it's just.
Speaker 5 (42:17):
So funny that they brought him back because he got
such a reaction at that, And it's just like he
doesn't really do anything except for like five seconds to
show he is very funny.
Speaker 2 (42:28):
But it's worth it. Like I said, he doesn't.
Speaker 1 (42:30):
Ever wrestles, so it's just like just all right, to.
Speaker 2 (42:33):
Be honest, I really don't want to see him wrestle.
Just let him take bumps. He's the heel that should
be taking bumps instead of dominant and ship like you
take the bumps. Yeah, that's what I saying. Like this,
listen and you said dom losing the title, where you
don't think the crowd would react, Well, listen. If I
know one thing about this poor guy, he is they
love hating him. Him losing the title, get a huge reaction,
(42:56):
Then he can win it back the next day, get
a positive reaction, and then.
Speaker 3 (43:01):
He's probably gonna lose it to fin He said.
Speaker 5 (43:04):
You want him to beat to lose the pent and
him fucking say that's what I want.
Speaker 2 (43:08):
I didn't at all. I just said how I'm saying,
how the crowd disact him. I said how the crowd.
Speaker 1 (43:14):
Were and I'm saying, we were talking about this match.
Speaker 2 (43:19):
Oh God, shut your ass up.
Speaker 1 (43:21):
You're a fucking idiot.
Speaker 2 (43:23):
So let's go into Gunther and Pat McAfee.
Speaker 1 (43:27):
Yeah, this one.
Speaker 5 (43:32):
This is a four team in the match of goother,
one of the most dominant wrestlers of this era against
a commentator who I understand.
Speaker 2 (43:40):
Was a former football player. I guess he was a punter,
but he was just a punter. You're right about that.
Speaker 1 (43:45):
But it's like this is of all people.
Speaker 5 (43:48):
To me, what I wanted from this match was an
uncomfortable beat down. I wanted rock Leser fucking someone up
that then they get a cup of chieap shots he
does like a fucking moon salt or whatever his high
flight spot he wants to do. I'm going through together
fucking cheap to count and then goo thro goes back
to fucking him up and it's uncomfortable and Michael Cole
(44:12):
has to sit there at fucking ringside crying his eyes out.
Speaker 3 (44:15):
That's the worst part of this fucking match is Michael
Cole getting involved.
Speaker 5 (44:18):
It was I this is not what I want as
a fan, and it doesn't.
Speaker 1 (44:23):
It's not like, oh, you expected.
Speaker 5 (44:25):
Something different and now you're like, no, it's what should
have fucking happened. Because this is fourteen minutes. Pat mcneegins
good there, way too long for what this should be,
and especially for the type of match that they put out.
This is a fourteen minute fucking beat down like brock
Lesler and Johnson at SummerSlam. Okay, fine, but and then
the sleeper hole fucking gooother tapped out immediately a WrestleMania.
Speaker 2 (44:48):
I don't want Pat.
Speaker 5 (44:49):
Mcavinian to fucking sit there with his own flailing no, no, no,
you fucking tap your ass out immediately, just like going
through I to do a WrestleMania.
Speaker 1 (44:56):
I didn't care for this.
Speaker 5 (44:57):
This is not what I This was not the way
to put Guther over. And we had that conversation last week.
We were not on board with this, me and Donnie,
and the whole thing was about getting Gunther back on track.
Speaker 1 (45:08):
And to me, they did not accomplish that.
Speaker 2 (45:10):
I hold on, Mike, Mike, I'm gonna I'm gonna say
one thing, requick bj BJA stand up, buddy, stand up
in your studio apartment. Look at that crack on the wall.
I agree, brother, for the first time. And as for
you and I on the same fucking page, my friend,
(45:30):
I agree, this was dog shit. It was dog shit
leading in never should have happened, dog shit of backlash. So,
if I'm reading correctly, boo boop, this pay per views
made as fuck, Mike.
Speaker 3 (45:41):
I mostly agree with the points b G made. I
think that again, I didn't have as big a problem
with doing the matches you guys had, but I don't.
This is not how I would have booked it. This
was my fear Gunther did. Gunther definitely did get the
bulk of the offense. It wasn't a pure squash. He
got the ball of the offense. But my problem goes
(46:02):
to what BGI said with like the sleeper, so like
you're it's like their goal more above all else was
like making Pat McAfee look like this fucking resilient, awesome guy.
And my thought is, like, what's the play of that,
because like, unless you have bigger plans for him wrestling more,
(46:23):
but I don't feel like they do.
Speaker 2 (46:26):
He did talk to Steph McMahon about how he's like,
I'm a fucking wrestler at hard or dumb shit.
Speaker 5 (46:31):
Yes, And I thought, honestly that this was gonna be
how you write first.
Speaker 1 (46:34):
I thought a few weeks ago, how you're gonna write
him off?
Speaker 5 (46:36):
Now, okay, the matches that you write him, No, he's
fucking there on the Pat McAfee, sure my chest bruise,
and he's there on fucking commentary.
Speaker 3 (46:43):
I was like, what, Yeah, I just I don't understand why.
Like the focus primarily was like making him look good
and then like getting the seal of approval from Gouther
again unless there's grand plans for him to be a
like a full time wrestler, but given that he's raw announcer,
I just I don't think that's the case. Uh so,
(47:05):
I really don't under to me, I don't understand what
the logic was of that.
Speaker 2 (47:09):
No, there was none. It was dumb as fucking I
hate it. Let's move on, Johnson and Randall orton. Okay,
uh well, okay, Actually, you know what, PJ, you got
a hot start last time. Saved me a lot of talking.
Let me hear what you gotta say about Johnson, what
he has to say.
Speaker 1 (47:27):
I probably, yeah, I'm probably not gonna save you some talking.
Speaker 2 (47:29):
You're probably a joke. It was a sarcastic well, thank you.
Speaker 1 (47:34):
I did feel like this had a big fight feel
to it.
Speaker 5 (47:38):
The last time I'm gonna see Johnson and Randy or
whatever you want to say about them in their careers.
They are big stars for WW. They are very important
to w w's legacy. So this did feel to me
like a big match. The crowd in Saint Louis crowd
was fucking hot, as you expect.
Speaker 1 (47:51):
Crowd was great for this.
Speaker 5 (47:55):
I thought this was a lot better than I anticipated
it would be.
Speaker 1 (47:59):
Now, I did think of is gonna be a good match,
but this is a lot better than I thought it
would be. I enjoy the stuff around the ring.
Speaker 5 (48:05):
Probably my favorite moment of this whole show, outside of
the Jeff Cobb debuting because we love Jeff com was
Randy Orton giving everybody in RKO.
Speaker 1 (48:12):
I love that spot so much.
Speaker 5 (48:14):
It was very fun and it's typical Randy Orton, he
gets screwed over. I did wish it was a little
more same thing with Wrestlminga. I wish he Johnson is
doing more heel shit to beat some of these top guys.
Speaker 1 (48:26):
But I thought the finish was good and this match
is a lot better than I thoube. This is my
favorite match of the night.
Speaker 2 (48:33):
I mean, yeah, it's also my favorite match of the night,
but there wasn't really much to compare it to maybe
maybe the first match. Yeah sure, but yeah, I don't know. Okay,
this match was long, but I felt like, yes, it
was long. I felt like at times it really started
to drag, right, but they had moments and spots planned,
and they went through history and nostalgia, like you know,
(48:55):
there's references. I actually do kind of agree with you.
It was a big fight. Feel I've seen Sena Norton
a million times. The match itself was mid card fucking mafia.
But that's not what this was about. This was about.
This was about the fucking these two guys. You write
the history, what they mean to each other, and the
(49:16):
history of the business and their company in particular. Yeah,
and then you know, bullshit, bullshit, bullshit sna wins.
Speaker 1 (49:23):
We know, of course.
Speaker 5 (49:24):
I mean, to me, this was seen his best match
in years. I enjoyed for once my call doing a
good job of being like, hey, these two starting like
fucking two thousand and two going on.
Speaker 1 (49:35):
Yeah, I was like, I.
Speaker 2 (49:36):
Can't believe he mentioned two thousand and two and you
referenced it.
Speaker 3 (49:39):
I'm so stunned by Yeah, I love this match. I
thought it was great. It was leaps and bounds better
than Sena and Cody Arstlemania and not even a compared.
Speaker 2 (49:49):
Actually, I actually agree with that. I'm not gonna say
it was leaps and bounds better, but I was. It
was better, I mean better than Cody.
Speaker 1 (49:58):
So Cody was he was.
Speaker 2 (50:00):
Being a little disgruntled little bit he was losing.
Speaker 3 (50:02):
This to me, was anything I could have wanted out
of this match, Like, I'm not expecting a fucking five
star spotfest out of John Cena and Randy Orton at
damn near fifty years old at this point, I got
what I needed out of this. And you know, the
the atmosphere was what it needed to be and what
we hoped it would be, with the crowd just going
crazy for Randy when he came out and then booing
(50:23):
Sena and you had that different dynamic that we've never
had before between them, and yes it was an overbooked mess,
but it worked for for what this was.
Speaker 2 (50:31):
Like.
Speaker 3 (50:32):
There wasn't like the logic gaps like in the WrestleMania
match where like, fucking he was gonna allow Travis Scott
to just punch sort of the ref. You know what
we did in this match, We made sure the ref
was fucking dead because he smashed his head into the stairs.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
We did a remember when his backlash or Wrestlmanta rewind
or whatever it was, Wrestmating backlash, like this was like
WrestleMania rewind or like we're gonna hey, remember we did.
It's kind of fucked up. Were gonna do a little
better here?
Speaker 1 (50:56):
Check it out.
Speaker 3 (50:56):
Uh they did like they did a table spot and
I think that the table, the announce table is not
supposed to break and you could see them like talking
to each other afterwards, and they're like calling audible and
Randy's like, oh, let's get a regular table and do
the fucking spot onto that. So they did that. That
was great, as BG mentioned Randy rkoing like fifty people.
And then when I really loved Our Truth coming in
(51:18):
to stop Randy Orton. We they've been teasing this for
weeks with Our Truth being the one guy who's still
like kind of believed in John Cena because I was
his childhood hero and he's been begetting a little segments
on SmackDown. Uh, and he comes in stops Randy Orton.
Sena capitalizes that uses it to beat Randy and retain
(51:40):
the title. And then in the press conference we get
Our Truth coming out and Sina telling him, you know,
basically that you know, don't don't fuck with my shit
and he as him through the table. And now we're
gonna get John Cena against Our Truth, which is a
very fun match of it. Like I'm sure there's gonna
be people that cry about it because Our Truth is
(52:00):
fifty years old or whatever. But I thought everybody loved
Our Truth. I thought people wanted different people to be
involved in big matches, And there's no doubt there's a
ton of history between Johnson and our Truth, because even
while Johnson has been gone for years, our Truth has
been keeping up this whole thing about John Cena being
his childhood hero. So that is a very fun one
off to do on the JOHNSONA retirement tour.
Speaker 2 (52:22):
Listen, you have to remember when a retirement tour? What what? Listen? Mike,
you go see oh, three doors down guy? Do you
hear that? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (52:30):
I'm glad I got to see him.
Speaker 2 (52:32):
That's wild, man, I know you were. As soon as
I saw that, I was like, that's sad for him.
My second Mike's probably really sad, dude. He sounded like
great too when I saw I know, cancer is the
son of a bitch. Dude. That's so saying us not
to be grimmery. It's coming for all of us.
Speaker 1 (52:49):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (52:50):
Now, I forgot. I was gonna say, Now made, We're
gonna say a concert.
Speaker 3 (52:55):
You want to see him play the hits?
Speaker 2 (52:56):
You want to see it? Thank you for knowing where
I was going. Yes, you want to see they're gonna
well not not even you want to that's what they're
gonna do. He's gonna play the hits. He's gonna yeah, yeah,
you'll get some interactions you never thought you'd have, but
you're also gonna get it's also John c Is saying
this is what I want to do. And one thing
of all this that that we're not talking about that
makes me the most excited is that we get We
(53:20):
get a chance for like our truth to have a moment. Now.
We love our truth. We've always loved our truth like
bjj t n A right, So from the bottom of
my heart, the idea here is like I love for
our Truth. Still an incredible shape, fucking funniest ship always
has when he became like she became funny as fuck
(53:43):
in w W for like over a decade now. And
you see the presser, Yes I did. I watched threw
the ship out of the table, which is great. Again,
set me up for a one off match, set me
up for a really fun moment. I'm fucking I'm let
him have it. And it's not here.
Speaker 3 (54:00):
It's probably gonna be Saurday Night's main event.
Speaker 2 (54:03):
Yeah, where it belongs. Yeah, even if it's back down,
that's fine too.
Speaker 1 (54:08):
Like putting our tro main event, like going for a
title shot would be.
Speaker 2 (54:11):
So cool and you can just set up the next
feud through that that's already come out because they're like,
you're not gonna do this to our truth. You're a
piece of ship for this. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (54:19):
I mean it could be Jimmy who's been going back stage.
Speaker 2 (54:24):
Couldn't do that. Don't do that.
Speaker 3 (54:26):
He's basically the greatest rivals and he's best buddies with
our truth.
Speaker 2 (54:31):
I will say this, I will allow it to be
the Mizz if the actual wrestler is Carmelo Hayes.
Speaker 3 (54:38):
No, if they run back the Mizz and Maurice skits
of John Cena and Nikki Bella.
Speaker 2 (54:44):
Remember they got married right in front of us walk
That was.
Speaker 3 (54:49):
Like clos We had to see two fucking engagements.
Speaker 1 (54:52):
In one night.
Speaker 2 (54:53):
It was awful.
Speaker 1 (54:53):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (54:56):
He was the only one who for both of them.
Oh my god, that's why I saved you guys. And
those Irish people.
Speaker 3 (55:02):
That's really scary. How they were so drunk they could
have just fallen over.
Speaker 2 (55:07):
It would have fucked you up on the way down. Though.
Speaker 1 (55:09):
They remember he.
Speaker 2 (55:12):
Goes the swing and the momentum of pulling his arm back, fuck,
it just takes him back.
Speaker 3 (55:16):
The absolutely what would have happened.
Speaker 2 (55:19):
Dude, let me tell you something. They were irish, they
know how to be drunk. They would definitely they'll definitely
get a couple of punches in before they fall. So okay, listen,
did you talk anybody else? Do missing thing?
Speaker 1 (55:29):
Like?
Speaker 2 (55:29):
Did you have a chance to speak?
Speaker 1 (55:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (55:31):
I did. Good. Yeah, it's whatever. It wasn't as good
as I had hoped it was, but it was better
than I thought it would be. That makes sense, probably.
Speaker 1 (55:38):
The match of the period.
Speaker 2 (55:40):
The match itself was seen. Thought I thought the match
would be a little bit better in terms of in ring.
It wasn't. It was more about the moments and stuff
like that, which, okay, I'm fine with that. I really am,
especially in this retirement tour because I hear again and
I would suggest that anybody who disagrees with like the
whole scenior retirement thing, I think it's been handled really
poorly a lot of ways. But in other ways, we
(56:03):
are really watching the end of an era. Like that
said a lot in like it's cliche, but John Cena
won't come back. He is kind of a man of
honor in that sense. If he comes back, it'll be
a one off thing in like five years. But this
is his retire I.
Speaker 3 (56:17):
Don't think he's wrestling and he'll come back and do appearances,
but I don't think he's said that.
Speaker 2 (56:22):
It's I listen, everything changes in five.
Speaker 3 (56:25):
Eventually wrestling, Michaels wasn't making twenty million doing movies.
Speaker 2 (56:31):
All I'm saying is, I'm never closing the door in wrestling.
Never say never in wrestling. I've learned that whole thing.
Speaker 1 (56:36):
That's actually his whole story, I know.
Speaker 2 (56:39):
But but here, here's the deal. This was what it
needed to be for this moment. And if you're if
you're listen, I hate Johnsen as a wrestled I don't
like it, and as a person he's probably a piece
of shit too. But but it's still it's still momentous,
what's happening. So you'd be fooled not to sit back
and at least, you know, enjoy, Yeah, just enjoy it.
(57:01):
It's like Derek Jeter, and Derek Jeter was doing the
whole thing where he was like going for hits like
it was.
Speaker 3 (57:07):
I hate year long retirement tour.
Speaker 2 (57:10):
Yeah, but I hate Derek Jeter, who's a total piece
of shit, and I kicked him right in his Dick
when I saw him in Miami. This is a wax
statue kicked his Dick favorite but guess what it was
flat down there. He's like a Barbie can Fair match
Favery moment overall great, Mike.
Speaker 3 (57:27):
I really liked both the opener and the main event,
but you know, the more we talk about the main event,
that's the match I had the most fun watching, So
I go with that. Favorite moment was Jeff Cobb's debut.
We love fucking Jeff Cobb. Overall great. I'm giving this
seven out of ten. It was a solid pay review.
Wasn't a world beater.
Speaker 2 (57:44):
Uh, but.
Speaker 3 (57:46):
Yeah, I thought all five matches we were at least
good and well, you know, the good.
Speaker 2 (57:52):
Pam Afee wasn't the greatest.
Speaker 3 (57:53):
The rest I thought were very good and as I
said to Donny, everything was setting up something for the future,
even though he said they didn't.
Speaker 2 (58:03):
Did so BJ match moment overall, grade.
Speaker 5 (58:06):
Favorite match was the main event. Easily favorite moment because
of you was great.
Speaker 1 (58:12):
But I actually really enjoyed that Rand Jorton spot of
him r KAO and everybody that came out. I love that.
That was probably my most memorable spot the whole night
overall in grade see watching it live. There's too many commercials.
There's a lot of shit in between two and a
half hours. It's only two and a half hours.
Speaker 5 (58:27):
As a plus, it's it's a fine show, but like
it's like a five and a half maybe a six,
Like everything is good.
Speaker 2 (58:36):
That's honestly I hear, honestly happening. Five and a half
is what your gut said, and honestly too high. Favorite
match is the main event. Favorite moment was Becky Lynch
trying to break arms. I'd like this if if Becky
Lynch becomes Pucha pent if she becomes Luca Penta, where
she's just like doing all that crazy handshit all the
time when like doing zero, like doing that shit of people,
(58:59):
you know what, I like walking like Penna. She hits
that move, starts doing nutship and then she goes after
Vampiro with fucking barbed wire and I are in fucking
light tubes and if I can't say it a buffalo
wild wings, I'm gonna lose my mind.
Speaker 3 (59:13):
We called Vampiro as the Master.
Speaker 2 (59:16):
Dude. We were so on that show.
Speaker 1 (59:18):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (59:18):
There was a time where like we were just predicting
every single week of it, it was coming easy to us.
We were that was you know what that was our
greatest moment in Ringress radio history history was that that
Luta run. That we were happy. We were so happy
we were having each.
Speaker 3 (59:35):
Other bring that ship back find way.
Speaker 2 (59:39):
It was a time, no, because they'll ruin it because
by the season four it wasn't as good man. Season
four is that you can't recapture. You can't recapture, but
they can recapture. They could do it. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (59:50):
Man, as long as you got Dario, you could you
can make it happen.
Speaker 2 (59:53):
Well, no, right now, Yeah, they're old. Everybody's tell me old.
They're going young and they're old, dude, everybo he's forty
years old, fifty years old? What I don't like old people, dude? Sorry.
Favorite overall grade three out of ten. It's actually lower
than four out of ten. Four out of ten is
(01:00:14):
like at this point, I think, yeah, No, four out
of ten is probably what it actually is for most people.
But me being honest, I had to take a point
away for getting onto four. It's landing on four out
of ten. You take away the gimmick. That's a three
out of ten.
Speaker 3 (01:00:29):
Oh, it's a gimmick.
Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
It was a bad show for the bad show. It
was a bad show. It really was. In terms of
pay reviews, this was bad. So uh Saturday Night made
event take shape. Jay Uso logan, Oh god, I threw
up when I said that one. That's a do Doo
doo dooo match, and then we get see him punkin
Sammy's Avers, Seth, Rollins and brown Breaker. Did you see
(01:00:52):
the guys standing in the ring say with the chairs?
Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
Yes, Who's time and I are on the same page
on this one.
Speaker 3 (01:01:01):
Yeah, BG and I discuss the Sammy zan is absolutely turning.
Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
I agree because somebody sent me. I think I was
just sending on the Facebook page. Uh. The it was
like the shield and then then those three and I
was like, ooh and row and and Zane had the chair.
Speaker 1 (01:01:22):
Yeah. I mean I said this when Jay came out
to celebr when Samy came out to celebrate with J
after wrestling on Raw, and I was like, I thot
he would just turn right there. Yep.
Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
I think it's gonna be great though, because you're gonna
get Roman coming back at some point. You get Roman
Punk and J probably against uh, Sammy, Seth and bron
I like that Seth beats j for the title.
Speaker 5 (01:01:49):
Mm hmmmm, and then imagine, no, hold on, imagine Sammy
being the one to beat J the title, their whole background,
the past several years.
Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
Like that would be a huge fucking moment.
Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
I want Sammy to beat Jay Juisi for the title,
and that same he said he relinquishes it that same
night hands it over to Seth. Rollins like that at all,
you have to finger poke. Why why do you say words?
Speaker 3 (01:02:19):
Why do you have hopes and dreams?
Speaker 5 (01:02:21):
If anything, I want, like Roman reigns against you, my wife,
I want the rains as a face against Sammy's a
as a heel.
Speaker 1 (01:02:30):
We saw that Montreal a few years ago. Let the year.
Speaker 5 (01:02:33):
It's fucking amazing and the roles are reversed now be
Roman is a baby face. Sam's just screwed over his
fucking cousin took the championship away.
Speaker 1 (01:02:40):
Mmm.
Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
Opens up a lot of possibility, tell you, yeah, listen,
see what was happening with Jacob for two and Solo
over here. You're like, that is that is this story?
That is this storyline? If you it's like diet, there's
nothing to do with this story like that diet version
of this.
Speaker 1 (01:03:02):
We're being honest with us. It makes no sense that
Sammy would join Seth and Braun to what they just
been to a few weeks ago. But we're gonna just that.
Speaker 2 (01:03:10):
So you thought I would take some pillow and a
fucking had you fool? I was still looking back now.
That was the great that you know what? I think
it back The greatest time ring radio history was t
n A moments.
Speaker 3 (01:03:28):
I can't believe I was watching that going through.
Speaker 2 (01:03:30):
The whorehouse with Ken Anderson, all of it all. Who Man,
if I cared enough, I'd go back and listen like
I was, do a watch along with us talking, listen
along us, talking over talking, talking about talking.
Speaker 3 (01:03:46):
Though not the band, remember the law.
Speaker 2 (01:03:55):
I can work with that, of course I can sell that.
Speaker 1 (01:03:59):
Yeah, that's.
Speaker 2 (01:04:01):
That dude was on one episode and he became history
to us. No one else the whole wide world remembers
that guy, but we we won't be always. For years,
we haven't shut up about him. It's fucking wild a
ship due it really is. No one cares. NXC Battleground
confirmed car that's made twenty fifth Obafemi versus miles Long,
Sam Jordan Grace I was god fucking shocked.
Speaker 1 (01:04:26):
Is going on?
Speaker 2 (01:04:27):
I don't know. And Joe Hendry verus Trick Williams for
the TNA. I like that.
Speaker 3 (01:04:33):
I actually watched TNA last week. They've been doing a
lot of crossover with Trick.
Speaker 2 (01:04:37):
Here we go.
Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
It's better than a W.
Speaker 2 (01:04:41):
Actually, I mean, listen, I'm always a proponent of TNA,
but can I tell you what TNA is now Ohio Valley.
That's all it is. That's all it is.
Speaker 3 (01:04:49):
So no, I don't I'm not like Japan is Ohio Valley.
Speaker 2 (01:04:54):
Yeah, okay, being fair, I'm fair. New Japan's a show
of what it was just a few years ago. And
that's because a W took it killed. A W changed
the independent scene. It took Ring of Honor and.
Speaker 3 (01:05:07):
New Japan, Vampa John New Japan.
Speaker 2 (01:05:10):
Let me tell you something. It took a lot of things.
It consolidated them all, almost like like WWF did, and
you love that.
Speaker 3 (01:05:19):
I'm sorry, are you talking about the territory days?
Speaker 2 (01:05:21):
That's what it did. It took the independence. I was
promised that a W was not going to do that.
I heard it were the best wrestlers wrestle and I wass.
Speaker 3 (01:05:29):
Not what they say it's they say it's we're the
best wrestle.
Speaker 2 (01:05:32):
We're the best wrestlers wrestle. That's what I said. That
that was what they said. What was the w c W,
the Land of the Giants, what was the thing where
the big boys? That's right, Uh, we'll spring on the page.
It was a second. I think it's part of my
(01:05:53):
Gammick Mercedes. Brain damage is part of my giving. Let
me tell you something. Part of the fast that I did.
They're like, listen, your brain activity going to spike. You
are gonna be like a fucking genius again. I might be.
Speaker 1 (01:06:07):
I might be.
Speaker 2 (01:06:08):
I might be worse and in tune I lost it.
I might be worse off now than I was before.
Speaker 1 (01:06:15):
You're always worse.
Speaker 2 (01:06:16):
I might actually fall down these steps to neighbors. Jamie
had the better Becky Lynch. So that with that, dude,
can I tell you is am I in? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:06:36):
What's going on with this? Mike?
Speaker 3 (01:06:37):
I don't know. I don't know the times I don't
think they've said.
Speaker 1 (01:06:40):
And why are they doing NXT right.
Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
I don't understand why they would do that.
Speaker 3 (01:06:44):
Because they're doing like four shows in a row in Tampa.
Speaker 2 (01:06:48):
They're doing what is with wrestling companies in their residency now.
Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
To be fair, announced this a long time ago. They
were doing like Saturday Night's main event XTA review RAW
in NXT four days.
Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
I will say this to you from a from a
logistical stand Yeah, it's a very smart thing.
Speaker 3 (01:07:11):
I think did appear with you that day last year too,
it was earlier in the day, I believe.
Speaker 1 (01:07:20):
Oh interesting.
Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
Honestly, it'd be smart to capitalize every capitalized on everybody
else's business. Get in on that ship, and yes, I
will be gone that day, so I can't wait for
that Monday. I can't wait for it. Hey, why is
Memorial Day not the last weekend in May? That's weird. No,
nobody cares that would be interesting because that Memorial.
Speaker 3 (01:07:47):
It's the last Monday.
Speaker 2 (01:07:50):
Yeah, but then I'm going away the weekend. I took
the day. I don't give a ship. It's dumb.
Speaker 3 (01:07:58):
Let's let's brain activity, brother.
Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
Seriously, I'm about to smoke more. We did offset the
dumb health into uh let's talk about Patreon Pole results.
Speaker 5 (01:08:09):
Yeah, we have a couple of Pole results because we've
been been gone for a little bail over the past
few weeks.
Speaker 1 (01:08:14):
We were here last week but we're going to give
people time.
Speaker 2 (01:08:17):
We were absolutely here and we wanted to get people
in recent weeks. Actually this is me though.
Speaker 5 (01:08:24):
So we had a fast food draft weeks ago. So
you guys recall a fast food draft. Who could put
together the best menu of all the fast food chains?
Speaker 2 (01:08:38):
So trying to open it up. You trying to open
up because that was a long talk breaker to get that.
Speaker 1 (01:08:44):
Get you guys, remember what we did because you.
Speaker 3 (01:08:49):
I'm not the one with brain damage, That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (01:08:52):
Donnie's little I remember the fast food draft with two
Oreo sliders or.
Speaker 1 (01:09:00):
You fucked up? You know you up? So you guys think,
who do you.
Speaker 5 (01:09:08):
Guys think won the fast food Draft himself?
Speaker 2 (01:09:13):
No? I can I listen? Listen, Mike, No, no, this
is the first hold on. Stop Mike. If you click
that fast food results, it will take you to them.
That's the first time in my life, first time in
my life I ever clicked that my whole life. I
went over there to find out BJ voted for himself
(01:09:34):
and it only got him to second place. Mike, you won, dude?
Speaker 5 (01:09:39):
I won, yeah, third place, and then Angel came in second.
Speaker 1 (01:09:44):
He's in the business though.
Speaker 2 (01:09:46):
Yeah, that is true. Just pick random ship.
Speaker 1 (01:09:50):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (01:09:50):
He did give.
Speaker 3 (01:09:55):
To impress the Big Bosses Williams.
Speaker 1 (01:09:59):
Williams only voted for Angel because of his methodology.
Speaker 2 (01:10:03):
See there you go, dude.
Speaker 3 (01:10:06):
That's like when people would vote for Donnie for like
having a shitty gimmick.
Speaker 2 (01:10:09):
Right, I remember what I'd like pick the same. I
would make you search the wrestlers, see like I would take.
Speaker 3 (01:10:16):
The worst you'd take, like a fucking thirty man match,
and I'd have to like go through jacket.
Speaker 2 (01:10:21):
Yeah, like good, oh good, you're in the I just
remember getting in the clear, and you're in a clear.
Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
Justin. Justin Carson says BG was close.
Speaker 5 (01:10:31):
Chick fil A's Mac and cheese and peanut butter Blizzard
and a Chipotle chicken burrito.
Speaker 1 (01:10:37):
Money.
Speaker 3 (01:10:37):
Mike gets it's pretty good and then say that this is.
Speaker 2 (01:10:41):
Such an opinion based thing.
Speaker 5 (01:10:42):
Everybody Corey Like he says, Donnie's panic pic of two
Oreo mixed ice creams lost in my vote.
Speaker 3 (01:10:56):
Like that, it's a great comment.
Speaker 5 (01:11:00):
We had another poll, this poll sort of courtesy of Donnie.
Speaker 1 (01:11:04):
But then I made it better.
Speaker 5 (01:11:06):
Which active wrestler would be the best to lead one
hundred people versus one gorilla okay, active wrestler, active wrestler okay, so.
Speaker 3 (01:11:18):
So not Blacklester is not counting.
Speaker 2 (01:11:24):
Good question, bla Blacklaster count he.
Speaker 1 (01:11:26):
May be on the other which one?
Speaker 2 (01:11:29):
Okay, I'm gonna go with the others.
Speaker 1 (01:11:34):
It was an act.
Speaker 3 (01:11:34):
If it was an active wrestler, I'd pick bron Breaker.
Speaker 1 (01:11:37):
So Braun had nine percent of the votes.
Speaker 2 (01:11:39):
I would he's active, he stays wrestling, and Jim in
Lehigh Valley.
Speaker 1 (01:11:47):
There you go. Drew McIntyre had nine percent of the votes.
Speaker 5 (01:11:50):
Jacobat two with eighteen percent of the votes nine percent.
Speaker 1 (01:11:54):
We are Ripley nine percent, Roman Reigns nine percent. But
the winner is other.
Speaker 5 (01:11:58):
Leave a comment below, so let's read the comments. Jason
Silva says, obviously Tiffany's strand with all that respect, I
followed her the war rest Scott Warren roll back, and
he says, gotta go with the young bucks.
Speaker 1 (01:12:12):
So when the Gorilla wins, we all win.
Speaker 2 (01:12:15):
We send them out first. Hell yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:12:17):
George Cruise says Drew mctarre because he has a sword,
which makes him always battle ready.
Speaker 3 (01:12:22):
I thought you weren't allowed to use weapons in this scenario.
Speaker 1 (01:12:25):
Probably not.
Speaker 5 (01:12:26):
Alison always says I mean all time wrestlers, obviously Hulk
Hogan because putting in.
Speaker 2 (01:12:31):

a very viral debate going on right now the internet.
Speaker 2 (01:12:56):

to it, and they're like, uh, this looks like a
close one of those close ups and ren and stimpy,
you know, like when they do like a super close
up on one of them and their faces will be
all fucked up and they come out.
Speaker 2 (01:13:17):
Of their nose. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:13:18):

Speaker 2 (01:13:19):
Please send it to me so I can probably I
probably shut you down for fucking with an American hero.
Speaker 1 (01:13:25):
We have a few more comments. Clint Williams says, the
obviously answer is.
Speaker 5 (01:13:28):
Brock lesnar butyunderstands active wrestlers there are there are plenty
of big median men here, but you also need someone
with a little crazy. Bron Samoa Joe Obafemi are good options,
but the best is easily Jacob fat too, Vic and
k Tom Lodge and says this is too easy. Claudio
Casinoli insane strength, speed, flexibility combined with imagination into like
(01:13:50):
he matches up well when it comes to matt work
and limb length power.
Speaker 1 (01:13:55):
But Alice Cantreer says, I chose Oba because he is
a specimen.
Speaker 5 (01:13:59):
But I he should have chosen Donnie because he would
have gone right up to the girl's face and almost
slapped him.
Speaker 2 (01:14:05):
And always slapped him. I would almost shot on him.
Swing in Philadelphia, du Yeah, and no it is a

Speaker 5 (01:19:31):
Yeah, Angle helping dot made sense for a second reason.

to Dom who gave him the name of someone who
could help.
Speaker 2 (01:19:43):
This is this is talking about Chack Gable this person
check Gabels he does. I think he might be right too.
Speaker 1 (01:19:51):
But did he have also a storyline about Lucia doors.
Speaker 9 (01:19:58):
Ye?
Speaker 2 (01:20:00):
I think that's what he's referencing here. Obviously, I thought
this was a foolish comment, but he might be smarter
than all of us. That was the worst P Baby
p L Live event in the last twenty years. Nothing
happened that was meaningful or useful to the storylines or useful.
(01:20:21):
Useful usual still use us use to the storylines.
Speaker 1 (01:20:30):
Come on, man, yeah, I like to come on man

Speaker 3 (01:20:46):
That used to be an ESPN for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:20:48):
Yeah yeah, I forget who it was. Oh yeah, I
think it was on like countdown or something. Yeah, I
said Shannon Sharp. So I might be racist, but I'm
almost five, and someone say, come on, come on man.
In every week in the NFL, so every week, come
home man, right, it might have been Chris Carter.
Speaker 3 (01:21:07):
Yeah, it might have been Chris Carter. Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
Why do refs? Oh no, this is your sorry, I
got excited.
Speaker 3 (01:21:16):
Why do refs suck at their job in every stupid match?
Speaker 2 (01:21:20):
Stop with this ship? Why just the letter? Why suck?
S u K there T H E R E. I

Speaker 3 (01:21:49):
Loose, always a winner.
Speaker 2 (01:21:52):
Listen, very short, smarts because you guys aren't stepping up.

it's like it's just you can spam me, not people
hate us. And you see it go on there on
the rings at Yahoo dot com. Yeah, that's the first
time I've had phone months.
Speaker 1 (01:22:28):
I was gonna say, maybe I'll just start spamming it.
Speaker 3 (01:22:30):
Well, he fucked up, and he was making life miserable
for me trying to find emails.
Speaker 2 (01:22:35):
Listen, I gotta tell you it's someone who hates us,
said our They ring us radio at yahoo dot com

Speaker 3 (01:23:47):
All right, guys, it is time for the best segment
of the week, the segment where myself, Mike Yari and
my buddy Brandon Galvin bust them dirt sheets and Donald
Wood walks away and cries like a little bitch he is.
Speaker 2 (01:24:00):
That's right, it's dirt cheap busters. BG.
Speaker 5 (01:24:02):
I feeling I'm so happy he's gone. I just truly
hate him so much. I wish you'd retire from the show. Yeah,
just like I wished Melts and from Us retire from
what they do.
Speaker 3 (01:24:13):
Good point, it's especially bad on post w W pay
per view shows because he makes up things to cry
about when there's actual legitimate things to cry about.
Speaker 2 (01:24:23):
But he just makes up other ones.
Speaker 3 (01:24:27):
Makes no sense, But whatever, Uh BG, We're gonna start
with Wrestling Observer Newsletter h They've been here many times.
Speaker 1 (01:24:36):
Over the oh yeah, ww is giving.
Speaker 3 (01:24:39):
EO Sky a big push per our eyes.
Speaker 1 (01:24:42):
Huh, you know, I do agree with this.
Speaker 3 (01:24:46):
Do you agree with the women's world champion who won
it WrestleMania getting a big push?
Speaker 1 (01:24:51):
Yeah? Now you mentioned it, Mike. It's is bullshit, corny.
Speaker 3 (01:24:56):
Dave Meltzer in the wrestler Server newsletter, A key decision
maker is mentioned that EO Sky is seen as a
breakaway star this year.
Speaker 2 (01:25:02):
It was noted that she has the.
Speaker 3 (01:25:03):
Energy and vocal style that made Oscar a strong promo
without speaking English, along with an impressive work ethic.
Speaker 2 (01:25:09):
Although Eosky does speak English.
Speaker 1 (01:25:12):
Can you repeat that which part?
Speaker 2 (01:25:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:25:17):
According to Dave Meltzer and the rest of of her newsletter,
a key decision maker has mentioned that a key decision
maker we don't know where has mentioned that EO Sky
is seen as a breakaway star this year.
Speaker 1 (01:25:30):
I mean yeah, it was noted that she has the
energy and.
Speaker 3 (01:25:34):
Vocal style that made Oscar a strong promo without speaking English,
along with an impressive work ethic. Now that I think
about that, that seems racist.
Speaker 1 (01:25:41):
Yeah, that's why.
Speaker 2 (01:25:43):
What the energy and vocal style style of an Asian woman.
Speaker 1 (01:25:46):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:25:48):
Meltzer added that the Genius of the Sky is well
liked by her peers and everyone is eager to help
her stand out. The company is focused on designing matches
that allow her to shine.
Speaker 1 (01:25:57):
Wow. Thanks for that. Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:25:59):
So the the definition of a push designing matches that allow.
Speaker 1 (01:26:03):
Her to shine? God report.
Speaker 3 (01:26:07):
By the way, you could give her any match and
she would shine.
Speaker 1 (01:26:10):
So absolutely.
Speaker 5 (01:26:12):
I just don't get She won the championship in like
fucking March. She won the championship in like March, like
obviously on the one of.
Speaker 3 (01:26:21):
Your Top Stars and then beats Rha and Bianca to
your Top Stars and WrestleMania, and she's been a huge
featured part of the show every week.
Speaker 2 (01:26:30):
But we had to be told via a report quote unquote.
Speaker 3 (01:26:33):
That you know, getting pushed WW like sir, they like
the cut of her jib.
Speaker 2 (01:26:39):
Glad to know it.
Speaker 3 (01:26:40):
Thanks, thanks Malts. Next one is from p W Insider
WW they like that Joe Hendry.
Speaker 1 (01:26:48):
Guy perh Yeah, I would think so.
Speaker 3 (01:26:54):
Joe Hendry has been a fixture on w W NXT
in recent weeks and even made a shock appeance rustling
at forty one to face Randy or Hot such a
lofty appearances have led many to assume it's only a
matter of time until Hendry joins w with PW Insider
stating it's pretty much considered a lock by many that
Hendry will joein WWE when his TNA deal expires at
the end of twenty twenty five. Backstage, WW management have
(01:27:16):
been impressed with Henry's showings in the company, with his
performance in the media about with Orton commended for how
Henry handled such a high pressure situation with very short notice.
Henry is also said to be to have been given
a lot of praise for how he's taking feedback and advice,
and also for his creativity during recent WW appearances. So
guy who's in TNA, WHOW has gone out of its
(01:27:41):
way for like the past year to get on at shows.
WW likes him, then want to sign them.
Speaker 1 (01:27:50):
Yeah, I believe in Mike.
Speaker 2 (01:27:51):
Do you think that's true?
Speaker 1 (01:27:53):
Yeah? I do think it's true. You too. I'm a
why it's here, Mike.
Speaker 3 (01:27:57):
It's here because I think that we could just watch
the shows and.
Speaker 2 (01:28:03):
Know this to be true and not need to report
on it.
Speaker 1 (01:28:07):
I agree, but.
Speaker 3 (01:28:07):
I'm glad to know that people backstations.
Speaker 1 (01:28:11):
Like them.
Speaker 2 (01:28:14):
It's nice, dude.
Speaker 1 (01:28:16):
It's good to know.
Speaker 3 (01:28:18):
Uh, speaking of this for Fifle Select, Kevin Knight is
a really nice person.
Speaker 1 (01:28:25):
Oh yo, good for him and everyone around him.
Speaker 3 (01:28:28):
Absolutely, court DeShawn Ross Sap during a recent fightful Select
Q and A.
Speaker 2 (01:28:32):
Kevin Knight is and.
Speaker 3 (01:28:33):
I quote well liked backstage, and Aw's pleased that have
secured his signature.
Speaker 2 (01:28:39):
They expected.
Speaker 1 (01:28:42):
It, says the securest signature.
Speaker 3 (01:28:44):
Oh my god, like that he signed a signature they expect.
They have plenty of competition when working to sign the more.
Speaker 2 (01:28:48):
We're very happy to land him. Stap noted.
Speaker 1 (01:28:51):
Yeah, here's my thing.
Speaker 2 (01:28:53):
And I've said things like this before.
Speaker 3 (01:28:55):
If Kevin Knight was a fucking asshole.
Speaker 2 (01:28:58):
Backstage, give me that report.
Speaker 3 (01:29:00):
Yeah, if a W was very unhappy to secure his signature,
tell me that part. You don't have to tell me
that the guy who they just signed like a month ago,
they there, they liked that they signed him, and everything's
going great.
Speaker 1 (01:29:18):
We know, good for everyone. Good reporting.
Speaker 2 (01:29:23):
So what is this like?
Speaker 3 (01:29:25):
Is AW just like contacting dirty writers would be like,
we like this guy, report that, Like, what what's the point?
Speaker 1 (01:29:37):
I think He's just like, you know, you signed this guy,
Kevin Night, we guys think he's been nice guy. That's
so he has to put out content.
Speaker 2 (01:29:44):
Is a real nice guy.
Speaker 3 (01:29:46):
I've got nothing else to report this week, so i
might as well put this one out there, some rustling
Server newsletter. Some people in WW have no cut contracts.
Speaker 2 (01:29:58):
I hope you don't want to know who.
Speaker 1 (01:29:59):
I'm very much want to know who, because I doubt
they have that. To be honest, he used to be
a big show.
Speaker 3 (01:30:04):
You had an ironclad contract. H Corner Dave Meltzer and
the Wrestling Server Newsletter Triple H made the final decision
on the recent WW releases. It's not clear whether he
was given a specific number of people, let go a
financial target to hit, or if the choices were entirely
up to him. So nothing is clear and nothing is known.
Got that thanks. Even then, Meltzer noted that the logic
(01:30:26):
behind it is simple. When you add new talent to
the main roster, you often have to release others, just
like in sports. And we know Melts is a huge
sports fanatic and expert. He knows all about Chiefs quarterback
Patrick Mahoneys. So Melts going on there, he would have
been a superstar sports reporter if it wasn't for wrestling.
That's what Melts has said before.
Speaker 1 (01:30:47):
Patrick is nothing like a sports team. They'll have a
salary cap, they'll have a limit on roster count. Like
that's so stupid to say.
Speaker 2 (01:30:56):
I mean, it's like any other business.
Speaker 3 (01:31:00):
It's like, I guess, you know, like an episodic, you know, series,
and you have a cast. Like it's more like that
than another sports team. Melts are also known that WW
is extremely profitable. No shit, Yeah, in one recent quarter,
the company had one hundred and ninety four million in
(01:31:22):
expenses and made one hundred eighty eight million in profit,
nearly a fifty percent margin. By the way, WW puts
out that information, So I don't know if Melts is
like pretending to like report that they give out a
quarterly report earnings report. Despite that WW contracts allow the
company to release talent at any time, while most wrestlers
must stay until their contracts end. We added that a
(01:31:44):
few wrestlers have no cut deals right now and said
that this system can feel unfair. Who and honestly, I
would not say that system would feel unfair because if
you're a top star in wrestling or sports or entertainment,
(01:32:07):
you get perks in your cond.
Speaker 1 (01:32:09):
I'm just there's zero percent chance anyone has a no
cut contract.
Speaker 2 (01:32:16):
Probably not.
Speaker 1 (01:32:17):
Probably it's something if they do something that they fuck up, right,
then they would be a turn to cut them.
Speaker 2 (01:32:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:32:24):
Maybe it's a situation where you can maybe some people
can only be fired for cause.
Speaker 1 (01:32:29):
I guess I don't know you have cause for anything.
Speaker 3 (01:32:32):
But that's just pure speculation, as Melts is purely speculating.
Speaker 1 (01:32:36):
I just don't believe anyone has a no cut contract.
Speaker 2 (01:32:40):
Big show.
Speaker 1 (01:32:41):
Christpinly killed his family and then they cut him. No,
they did not fight him.
Speaker 3 (01:32:47):
We don't know what happened was contract after he off
himself in his family.
Speaker 5 (01:32:53):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:32:54):
The next one's from PW insider BG, how great was
Cody Rhodes at Backlash?
Speaker 1 (01:33:00):
I mean, I'm sure you're going to tell me on
my fancy team that he has zero points. I'm assuming recalls.
I mean he may have been a commercial p W insider.
Speaker 3 (01:33:09):
Her supporter that there's been at least one pitch for
Cody Rhoades to make a surprise return a backlash p
W inside.
Speaker 5 (01:33:18):
The direction, Hey it was Mike, it was just a pitch, right. See,
that's a new loophole for them. Hey, there was a pitch,
it was talked about, his name was mentioned.
Speaker 3 (01:33:30):
He's the top star, right, but we know what the
reasoning for this type of report is put out there
just in case.
Speaker 1 (01:33:42):
Hey, we can say we got it right, but if
you don't.
Speaker 2 (01:33:44):
It was just as.
Speaker 1 (01:33:48):
There's a little longer.
Speaker 2 (01:33:49):
It was a pitch.
Speaker 1 (01:33:51):
Just show don't shoot the muster exactly. Uh, Doubles thomming.
Speaker 3 (01:33:56):
It's from Cory Hayes of body slam.
Speaker 1 (01:33:59):
Dot Net as you would.
Speaker 2 (01:34:01):
Uh pg, did we watch Backlash out of order? Hm?
Speaker 3 (01:34:09):
I actually did because the start so this is for you,
but even even then, this is not correct.
Speaker 1 (01:34:16):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:34:17):
Here's the w W Backlash rundown as of Saturday morning.
Speaker 1 (01:34:22):
The order only a few hours beforehand yep.
Speaker 3 (01:34:27):
The opener Dominic mysteriovers Penta.
Speaker 1 (01:34:31):
Oh yeah, second, that's wrong.
Speaker 3 (01:34:34):
Second match jacob otso Verus Dreamcin Tarver's l A Knight
vers Damian Priest. That's wrong. Third match Guver's Pat McAfee.
That's wrong.
Speaker 2 (01:34:47):
Fourth match Lightravel Kererie vers Becky Lynch. That's wrong.
Speaker 3 (01:34:53):
Man John Ceniverse, Randy Orton, good job. Wait wait I
ended strung.
Speaker 1 (01:34:59):
I th was you're gonna tell me that was gonna
be like fourth on the card.
Speaker 3 (01:35:03):
I wish it would have been like the Bellas and
broad Scholars versus versus the funk of Dactyls and Brotus
Clay and.
Speaker 2 (01:35:12):
Sweet that should be.
Speaker 1 (01:35:16):
It's amazing even still remember that match?
Speaker 2 (01:35:19):
How could I forget it was?
Speaker 5 (01:35:21):
It was almost I'm glad that they nail the main
event that they told us was going to be the
main event, though, I'm proud of them.
Speaker 2 (01:35:29):
Literally the only thing they got, all right.
Speaker 1 (01:35:33):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:35:33):
I'm not great at math on the the probability of
getting all that incorrect, but there was only four matches.
Speaker 2 (01:35:40):
I can do this math.
Speaker 3 (01:35:41):
They got twenty percent of it right, yeap, that's like
a Donald Wood grade in high school.
Speaker 1 (01:35:51):
It's good for.
Speaker 2 (01:35:53):
I suppose uh DG. How we do buddy? Oh, she'd
suck all right, BG.
Speaker 3 (01:36:04):
As you know, we recently had the season forty Ring
Rush Radio Fantasy WW Draft.
Speaker 2 (01:36:11):
We're in the fortieth year.
Speaker 3 (01:36:13):
It's crazy Fantasy W and this is our first update
after a pay per.
Speaker 2 (01:36:19):
View for the season.
Speaker 1 (01:36:21):
Okay, that's fun, yes it is.
Speaker 2 (01:36:24):
So here we go in ninth place, last with negative thirty.
Speaker 1 (01:36:29):
Skis tough go but.
Speaker 3 (01:36:33):
He he just doesn't have it when it comes to fantasy.
Speaker 1 (01:36:37):
He lost it.
Speaker 2 (01:36:37):
He doesn't have it. You never had it.
Speaker 3 (01:36:40):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:36:40):
Maybe he did at one point.
Speaker 3 (01:36:43):
In eighth with zero George Sparrows, it's only one in.
Speaker 1 (01:36:46):
Negatives, Oh wow, Freedom.
Speaker 3 (01:36:49):
Seventh with ten Chris Jeter, the Raining Channel.
Speaker 1 (01:36:55):
In six with fifteen big it's good score from me.
Speaker 3 (01:37:00):
That's pretty solid positives by a decent amount.
Speaker 1 (01:37:05):
Hell yeah. In fifth with twenty George Cruise, I'm behind George.
Speaker 2 (01:37:14):
And fourth with thirty Angel Masa.
Speaker 1 (01:37:18):
Okay, okay, pretty good, he's driving up a lead.
Speaker 5 (01:37:22):
And third with in third with thirty five Donald would Oh,
I didn't hear your name yet.
Speaker 2 (01:37:31):
In second with forty.
Speaker 3 (01:37:35):
Reggie Gill every am. Wow, I'm gonna say something really quick.
I know many people would be expecting me to do
a whole long nickname for.
Speaker 1 (01:37:45):
I was gonna say, is that because we around a
time crunch?
Speaker 3 (01:37:48):
No, it's not because we'reun a time crunch, although yeah,
that could play into it, because that's a very long nickname.
We only have a certain amount of time to record this, yeh.
Peeling back the curtain a little bit. The real reason
is because working off a totally different computer. Now everything's
all fucked up. Teams record, we got a whole new thing.
My other computer couldn't handle it. I'm on a new computer.
(01:38:10):
I don't have the past nickname on this computer. Here's
what I'll do, though, Here's here's what I've decided. If
I can go the distance, if if I can win
the championship in the fortieth season of ringw I am
going to go and search for that nickname. I'm gonna
bye God read that nickname to celebrate my victory. But
(01:38:34):
till then, I'm gonna be modest, as I often am.
Speaker 2 (01:38:39):
I'm just kind of long for the ride.
Speaker 3 (01:38:41):
We'll see how it goes. But if you really like
the nickname, root for me. If you really hate the nickname,
root against me.
Speaker 1 (01:38:48):
And be invested something different.
Speaker 3 (01:38:51):
Season forty, go kill yourself.
Speaker 1 (01:38:54):
I would never say that.
Speaker 3 (01:38:56):
Player yep, but oh yeah, that is fantasy and beiji.
Next we're gonna be closing out the show with emails
one of the best semons of the week.
Speaker 1 (01:39:09):
Yes, be part of the show.
Speaker 3 (01:39:11):
Send us an email every single week so you can
get it right on the show.
Speaker 1 (01:39:14):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:39:14):
And if you go to Patreon dot com slash ring
RUSS Radio if you contribute to the emails, email to
here or hire. We have to read at least one
of your emails every week and send that email to
ring Russ Radio at gmail dot com. I believe people
hate Donald Wood in his lack of effort, so we
only sent one email for this week. Yeah, it's from
(01:39:38):
Dan the B seven Marsh subject backlash.
Speaker 2 (01:39:43):
Hi.
Speaker 3 (01:39:44):
I have a feeling what Donald will say, and I'm
probably going to agree. Total crap, same old storyline, shit
four point zero.
Speaker 2 (01:39:55):
I is that four ten?
Speaker 1 (01:39:58):
That's a good you know, Gpa, it is.
Speaker 3 (01:40:00):
Two point five hours of my life I'll never get back.
But as mister Blank, well, you know, we gave our
thoughts on the pay review earlier, but for me personally,
I thought it was a good show. I certainly two
point five we'll start with two point five hours. That's
an important point to make us hours. We got a
(01:40:23):
pay review two point five hours, and it didn't feel
like it dragged on, didn't feel like it went too long.
Speaker 2 (01:40:29):
I wish we could get more of.
Speaker 3 (01:40:30):
That in w W and in other companies. But I
thought it was a solid show. There was not a
bad match on the card. There was you know, uh,
I see a lot of people trying to suggest like, oh,
nothing really happened, nothing really got advanced. I mean like,
you set up a match for Sina in the main event,
you set up a feud for for Penta coming up,
(01:40:53):
you set up another match between Becky and Lyra. I
feel like you advanced a lot of things. Actually, uh so,
I thought it was a solid show. Is it a
fucking world beater and the greatest show ever?
Speaker 1 (01:41:03):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:41:03):
But I think for like a secondary pay per view,
I was entertained and it was a solid show.
Speaker 1 (01:41:09):
There you go, bring rust, bring roast.
Speaker 2 (01:41:13):
All right, that's it for this week, beg.
Speaker 3 (01:41:16):
I really enjoyed the past, you know, several minutes closing
out the show. It was such a nice way to
go out to go head into the week. I'm feeling
a lot more refreshed now than I was earlier today.
And guys, I hope you enjoyed the last few minutes
and the whole the show as.
Speaker 2 (01:41:34):
A whole, even when Donald Wood was on.
Speaker 3 (01:41:36):
We thank you all for for tuning in, for listening,
for hanging out with us, and will see you guys
here next week.
Speaker 1 (01:41:43):
Have a good one.
