Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now you're listening to wrestling news that matters from people
you want to hear it from deep from within the.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Confines of the Internet, covering w w E like no
one else, and covering t NA because no one else will.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
You are listening to the best in the.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
World, really rust really hard.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
Ye sure, Oi, guys, Tom for another wrestler top ten

(01:09):
match bracket.

Speaker 5 (01:12):
This is a draft, guys. We did this already one
time before. We had Uh, Macha Man, Rainey Savage, Don't
cole See Boston and Shawn Michaels, and we drafted uh
from their matches. We were drafting what we thought were
their best matches, put together a card of their matches,
and you vote on patron dot com slash. We're going
who has the best? And this time we're doing Sam

(01:33):
Punk and the Rock.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
And Okay, but there was a little bit of controversy
which we must address up top. I was told that
I could not pick the Young Bucks, and I wanted
on the record that I we each choose one. Who
chose Sampunk Mike, Mike, you did? I chose Roman rain
and wait, so you got over turned right and said.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Did I want the Young Bucks?

Speaker 5 (01:57):
And I'm like, well then fine, funk that because we're
not doing young Bucks.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
So I yuined everything. How do we get to see
him punk though he's not top six?

Speaker 5 (02:09):
I mean, this is necessary.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
You know this sucks already. Let's just get it out.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
You wanted to start crying about that.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
Yeah, well guess what it's all gonna get worse? Uh
so yeah, it's a draft bracket or whatever. Thank god
fucking draft. All right, so what's the mike take? Take
a lead?

Speaker 5 (02:27):
Well, you have the first pick. We're starting with the
CM punk match draft again, all CM punk matches that
he's had his career eligib will be drafted five rounds
and you go to Patronic com slash Ringers Radio and
vote for who put together the best card full of
CM punk matches?

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Where did you get this list from? Beach?

Speaker 2 (02:46):
I did a lot of research and creating these big
boardsious websites.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
I went to mouth star ratings. That's why Daniel Bryanton.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Is that the hold on is that with the list
of places you went ended websites on Dave's list.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
Well, Dave said, Daniel Brian never had a five star
matches till he got to aw.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Well since then, so it's good like he'd be probably
more than that. He's right there.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
We're doing CM punk first.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
Okay, So my estimation, my favorite CM punk match, the
best CM punk match, I'm going with brock Lessner No.
DQ SummerSlam twenty thirteen. Absolutely love that match. There's a
great rivalry with Paul Hayman being involved. Matches just fucking incredible.

(03:38):
I wish Brock didn't like peing on ladies.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
No he didn't, not I who cares if he does? Though,
you know, I don't think it was that he was ping.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
I think he just wanted to see them.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
I wish you didn't like ladies.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Who cares if he does? Like that's if that's why.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
I think there's more to it than that.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Oh yeah, and you know all about it though, Right Well,
I'm just saying, well, I'm just saying you don't know ship,
so keep your fing keep his name out of your mouth.
Beats what good?

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Who's next next? That was also number one on my pickboard.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Thanks man, that's dumbest ship. Okay, Okay, yeah, seriously a dummy.
All right, make a pick Listen, motherfucker. I'm thinking, uh,
I'm gonna take I'm gonna take c him Punk for
Samoa Joe r o H Joe Vers Punk two two
thousand and four. M. I believe it's the best of theirs.

(04:35):
That's my favorite. Wow mm hm.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Did you Punk's blonde hair back then?

Speaker 3 (04:43):
I did so the reason Can I tell you who?
He really reminded me of when I first saw him,
A shitty Steve Corino, sht shitty Steve Cano, but like
his straight edge thing made me detest him, like so bad.
I feel was like, fuck you. I love beer and weed.
Fuck you right, So it was like easy it was

(05:07):
And honestly everybody in the audience is the target, our
audience to his ship, and that's what made it work. Yeah,
there really was his time there was. That's the foundation
of me who made him, made him who he became.
Absolutely tell the police, hell yeah, I did raise one up.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
They're so far away though not pretty close.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Okay, God, who's all right? I got back and back.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
I'm going with CM Punk versus gonna take her wrestle
in twenty nine Good Licens Boots. I am also going
with CM Punk.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Where is Drew McIntire hell in the Cell from last year.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Great Match Match of the Year. According to the rusties.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Yeah, nothing biased about it there, agreed, nothing bias about
it there, huh, yep for it and it was.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
A amazing match, and he came on here to review it.
You're a next asshole.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
A lot of yelling you got going on there? You're
just such a yelling you got going on there? Man?
You ruin CM Punkraft. It's his deal, dude, it's his deal.
Is the fucking ship that's dumb ship, MIAs Ship is
funny ship Midas is a funny fucking thing. Dude. I'll

(06:27):
take I'm trying to think which one I liked better. Honestly,
probably over the limit. I'm taking CM Punk Davia Brian
over the limit one. The no d Q match is
very good, but I thought, I think this match is better.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
I agree this one a better one.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
I think I.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
Think you remember, like twenty twelve, that's pretty early in
the show, still, like how fucking huge it was that
they were getting punkers Brian.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Uh No, Can I tell you? Can I tell you what?
Like was the foundational piece of what Ringress Radio became.
That one fucking picture of punk Cody. No, it was
punk Cody Phoenix. Yeah, like all the champions, all the
Champions at the time, Yes, lack Rider, I think Brian

(07:14):
and fucking Punker's World Champions, and like it was KOFE,
So it was like it was yeah for a minute,
for a minute, he did for a minute, and then poof,
I'm back to my old ship. Go ahead, Mike Row,
that's next.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
What I'm taking more for the moment in the atmosphere
than the in ring work itself. Uh CM Punk and
John Cena Money in the Bank twenty eleven. We we
went back and watched this for match commentary before and
I think we kind of collectedly came out of was
like it wasn't as good as I remember it being,
but though watching it in the moment and it being

(07:54):
in Chicago and not knowing what's gonna happen with Punk,
like threatening to take the title, thinking that scene was
probably gonna win. But Punk actually did win and did
take the title. They fucking botched the Summer Punk shit
after that time. No storytelling.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Yeah, no, you're you're right, Mike, that that moment was
and it's like, uh, we didn't even really care what
was happening in the match at the time because we
knew something was gonna go down. Like we were all
just like Evince coming out, like what you know it was?
We knew it was. She was gonna go sideways in
that match, So it was just a matter of like

(08:27):
we were waiting it out and then we watched it
as from a technical perspective, We're like, this is poop, right.

Speaker 5 (08:33):
I think during the time we've been doing the show,
that was one of the most fun matches to watch
live because you truly didn't know what's gonna happen. Yeah,
my other pick I'm gonna take, and I am shocked
Donnie did not take this to me easily. Punk's the
best match during his time in aw it's the dog
collar match against MJF Revolution twenty twenty two.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
Yeah, that's next. That was what I was so and honestly.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
That's the best feud that a W has ever done.
It's in the conversation and one of the best matches.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Yeah, I say it's in the conversation for sure. I'll
give you that. Sure, I for sure, I get you
for sure. Uh, what's the fucking wrong with you? Uh?
Let me they have to got it. Admittedly have to
pivot now because I thought that way. I've legitimately thought
that was the one was gonna be there. Do I
flip over here to fucking Dustin rhodes Man hit some

(09:27):
gems here in a w did you get to some
Dave's list?

Speaker 5 (09:32):
This is a This is a less carefully curiated by Dave.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
He's like, listen, you gotta put it everybody, you gotta
put it over. That's good. I'm gonna take I'm gonna
take mox Punk from All Out twenty two.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
That's kind of a disappointing match.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
I liked it. I liked it. I know you.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
Slurp up whatever Mox gives you at this point.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
I love. Well, here's the thing. I'm just a mox mark,
So I admittedly maybe biased towards him, but I love
I do, I really do. He's He's our generation's Terry Funk,
And if you look at that way, it makes him
he's so much better when I think of it like that,
because it's just like he's just that, he's that guy.
He just wants to be there. Did he win and

(10:18):
fucking make people look? Have good times? You know, have
good times? Good? Sure, I know what you mean. I
lost the end, have good time.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
I take Sam Hunger is Chris Jericho Paid Back twenty thirteen.

Speaker 5 (10:36):
Was that the street fight? Yeah, that was a good
one when they were both from their jeans YEP and
CM punkers De Ray No DQ Mine in the Bank
twenty twelve.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
I can't get hard unless I see knee pads over
jeans and a hard dude. I can't even start with it. Good.
It's okay because I'm gonna take CM Punk Brian Danielson
reborn two thousand and four.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
Okay, so that's I think that was like right before
Punk left.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
For w r uh no very shortly. No, No, he
left in two thousand and five.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
I mean he had a Danielson match very shortly before
he left for b uh maybe.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
I'm not sure off the top of my head. Honestly,
I just don't remember on the top of my head
this match this was. But no, he had a bunch
of matches after this. This was like one of the
early on matchups. I honest say, this is the first time.
That was the first time I really thought of them.
Punk is like a good technical wrestler because he's in
he's in Kinger Honor. He's just not He's not on
that level, you know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (11:50):
He's not though.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Yeah, well that's yeah, But the thing is you staying
there with Brian Danielson. You fucking deserve that.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
He did he stuff with Raven and TNA and Ring
of Honor for those a little more hardcourse.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
I mean, avey, I'm just looking at this list. I
got fucking one, two, three, several matches from two thousand
and five from See Him Punk. So no, this was
if if he did wrestle, Danielson didn't make pj's list.

Speaker 5 (12:15):
Come on, Melts, go ahead, I'm going to take what
I think is the better CM Punk in John Cena
match technically speaking. And it's from Raw February fifth, twenty thirteen.
This was leading up to WrestleMania twenty nine. Uh, and

(12:36):
it was like punk track yep, punk trying to get
into the match with Rock and Sina and yeah, they
pulled out the fucking pile driver, which was unheard of
at the time to be doing a pile driver. This
was awesome match. It was like a raw main event.
I feel like it was a really long match. This
is one of as soon as best technical matches ever by.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Far bigger commistry overall.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
As I was making this, I was like, holy shit,
twenty thirteen CM Punk was like his best year of
his career.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
He fucking left.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
He hated it, Yeah, he did. He hate He hates
that year. Like that's what the whole hate. That's where
the disconnect comes from with him, Like he's so selfish.
I think he was just miserable from everything. But I
think he's still miser.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Listen, if he just got that one main events spot
you have to win, just put it in the fucking.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Match, and he should.

Speaker 5 (13:25):
He really should have been in it.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
He should have been. That was the whole storyline. It
was so such bullshit.

Speaker 5 (13:29):
We're gonna run back Punk for Sina on the retirement
tour though, man h my final pick, I'm going with
see him Punk for Jeff Hardy TLC match summer, saying
in two thousand and nine, this was so two thousand
and nine, I was checking in here and there to wrestling.
I guess I'd been out of it for quite a while,
checking in here there twenty tens when I got fully

(13:51):
back into it. I remember catching some Punk and Jeff
Hardy stuff on SmackDown, And this was this was right
before Jeff left. He left in two thousand and nine,
and he went to TNA and everything. He wasn't back
for many years. But Punk and Jeff Hardy very good ship,
like Punk playing up till like Jeff Hardy's like addiction
ship in real life. Yeah, I guess Jeff never really

(14:11):
shook that over the years.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
But he's doing good now, man, he is.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
I hope he stays in the street and narrow.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Yeah, so I don't get any more picks.

Speaker 5 (14:21):
Yeah you do, brother, You do not know what draft works.
We've went over this before.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
Are you talking to me right?

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (14:29):
I am talking for right now.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
You're being fucking super being super fucking.

Speaker 5 (14:34):
Fucking guy wants to do a Madden draft every day
and he doesn't even know.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
I'm gonna take CM Punk versus Adam Page double nothing
twenty two that was match either, honestly, looking back now,
it's on here to make an example out of CM Punker.
How he's the piece of ship and he's the problem.
He is the piece of ship problem, the guy who
talks ship all the promos, and now this guy gets
kind of real with him, and he's like, fucking bitch,

(15:02):
shut your fucking ass up. Good?

Speaker 5 (15:03):
Can I predict what match you're gonna take?

Speaker 3 (15:05):
PG? Sure, you're gonna be wrong, but you don't know me.

Speaker 5 (15:11):
Punk in the Rocket thirteen.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
No, but you know I do like that match along.

Speaker 5 (15:15):
No, I thought you're gonna take it.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Yeah, I do really like that match a lot.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
But I don't think people look at that as fondly,
and I think I need to go with a few
that everyone knows Bung four and CM Punk versus Samoa Joe.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
We're gonna do the third.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
One from two thousand and four from All Star Extravaganza.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
Too, the worst one. Oddly, you should have tooken the
first one.

Speaker 5 (15:38):
You should have taken it from all in twenty twenty three,
Choked Out Jack Perry had a latch. That's awesome.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
Good draft, Yeah, I did great. You can't speak as
much time? All right, next one, it's the worst one
is the Rock and I have the first pick.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
I noticed does not have the first pick and either
of the first pick.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
Yeah, that's that's odd how that works out?

Speaker 4 (16:10):
Man?

Speaker 5 (16:11):
Look take a picture of until I get here.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
Cool cool, cool.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Take for a Stone Call Wrestling seventeen.

Speaker 5 (16:23):
I can't argue with.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
That, Yeah I could. I could argue all day about
it because it sucked. What it sucked? Yeah, go ahead,
is it me?

Speaker 1 (16:33):
Yeah? Brother?

Speaker 3 (16:35):
Uh rock Stone Cold Wrestling in seventeen.

Speaker 5 (16:40):
That was just taken.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Are you serious the one you just said?

Speaker 3 (16:44):
Yeah? Yeah, yeah yeah, quick quick pivot, quick pivot here dude,
different Rock maybe, like no, but like I got another
one in my mind, might be better than that one. I'm
gonna say Rock. I'm gonna say nineteen.

Speaker 5 (17:02):
Rocking Stone Cold Wrestling in nineteen.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
Okay, thanks to work through. Its getting late, dude's getting late.
I'm looking I'm running on empty here, dude, I'm running
on caffeine and fumes.

Speaker 5 (17:15):
I'm gonna take a match that melts absolutely hated, even
though he claims that this.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Isn't what I was gonna take. That's what I do,
even though he.

Speaker 5 (17:23):
Claims that if the crowd loves something, he will give
it a very high rating. The Rock Versusall Cogan Wrestling
at eighteen, I forgot.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
The Rock cried like a bitch in that match. At
the end when they were walking away. It was wild cries,
like a bit yeah, like you know, like they're walking
up the aisle and they get to the top and
the Rock just starts crying like a bitch. It's awful, Okay,
huh okay.

Speaker 5 (17:50):
I'm also gonna take a match at which we were
there live. The ship did not suck, especially because Donnie
was not there. The rocking wrong.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Yeah, I know. I actually I've never seen night one
of that pay re view, and that's gonna.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Be one of those things that with us the next morning.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
That always I did. That's it, that's all, that's it.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
That was number three on my big board. Hell yeah,
that's it. Was awesome. I'm watching it back even better.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
Never gonna see it, wasn't gonna see it still looking.
It's like a fall that wasn't actually there. You're just
searching and searching and searching, is it me? Yep? I'm
gonna take rock or Stone Cold from wrestling at fifteen.

Speaker 5 (18:48):
I feel like we did the Stone Cold draft. You
just like fucking hogged all the.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
Listen, man, they're fucking that's what you know. They're big
money tickets.

Speaker 5 (18:58):
Big money tickets, big money takes big morning.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
It sounds like somebody fucking Pitbull brought up during.

Speaker 5 (19:07):
That Lewis Lewis and big Buddy ticket is.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
Somebody right now? I know for a fact somebody's like
big they're free s BJ's new rap name. He's out
there on the streets of Manhattan fucking like hit my
fucking music, laying out, laid out some cardboard. I'm about
to fucking break on.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
You and take the rock Verse the take over his
credan Angle from Vengeance two thousand.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
And two, Wild Pivots and I stole your pick what you.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
I'm also gonna take the rock vers Brocoliser Summer and
two Homer pickause.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
I was there there, I was there. I love that match.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
Can I did you hate the rock because you knew
he was gonna be leaving?

Speaker 5 (19:56):
Probably Wood?

Speaker 1 (19:56):
Yes, we all did the whole arena.

Speaker 5 (19:59):
Na, I would just to come to Meltz's peer pressure
on that, I would have still.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
Be We did, and you know what, he was right?
You left.

Speaker 5 (20:08):
Well, that's when Melts sometimes gets stuff right.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
Well, no, it's melt You can't argue with Melts, dude.
The guy has had results for years and years and
years not anymore.

Speaker 5 (20:17):
You can absolutely argue with him.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
Now. He's wrong way more than he's right now. He's
got plenty of connections in a in a w can
I ask a quick question the e quip match that
he plays the audio that's that's.

Speaker 5 (20:34):
The one it says I quit on it.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
That one Roy Rumble, is that the one that's the equipment,
that's the chair shot one, the quip match at Rumble.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
Is that the ones that I is that the one
you want on him?

Speaker 3 (20:49):
Yes? Okay, I actually really I know that there's like
a negative perception around that match. It's uncomfortable to watch
in that it's incredibly fun and that's one of the
that's one of my favorite matches of them.

Speaker 5 (21:03):
So my plan to sneak through a match I really
wanted worked u to me. One of the greatest ladder
matches of all time, the Rockers Triple H Summerslame ninety
eight for the Icy title.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
Oh, I can't believe be you didn't take that? He
never shuts the fuck I know.

Speaker 5 (21:17):
I thought I knew you wouldn't take it.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
Yeah, because it and I think it's gonna cost me
because I went with the Rock and Brock, but I
wanted to have that match.

Speaker 5 (21:25):
I thought you were for sure gonna take Rock and
Rolling versus Cody and step That's why I went, Yeah,
see fucking my games, dude.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
Noemember, there you go. See that's why you guys are
like brothers. But only closer.

Speaker 5 (21:42):
I gotta get a h. I gotta get a mankind
match in here, and there's still still a couple I
like m H. I'm gonna go because of the historical
significance of it. Rockers, Mankind, Nody q Raw January fourth,
ninety nine. That will really put butts in the seats.
It did, it did? Pussy Donnie just.

Speaker 3 (22:10):
Reading the card, Bud, He's just reading the card the card.
Uh okay, I had to pivot again. He just stole
another one of mine, which that one No Rock and
Triple H Really yeah, because I can't believe it. I
can't believe I didn't. Honestly, I thought maybe you guys

(22:32):
forgot it or something, because I.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Was like, never forget, I forgot.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
You might forgot. I'm gonna take what was my last pick.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
BJ the equipment I quit that.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
I'm gonna I'm gonna take Rock for a stone cold,
no holds barred Backlash night.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
I really like that match. I think it was better
than the rest match.

Speaker 5 (22:58):
I got that too, probably, so yeah, fifteen was it
was cool because of like whatever represented their first like
row major match at Wrestlemingia.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
But well they did. They had the same yeah, they
had they had to save some.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
All right, is the last two picks for me?

Speaker 2 (23:17):
I'm going with the Rockers Man Conn last man Standing
match from Saint Valentine's the Massacre nice and mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
There's a lot of good ones left. Oh with the
rock Trip aways.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
From Backlash two thousand came.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
Yeah, I have that massive I'm gonna go with the
rock Verse. Chris Benoah, fully Loaded two thousand, Fully Loaded.
We didn't feel with a gun, dude, it was a
it was firm.

Speaker 5 (23:51):
To imagine if you had though.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Oh yeah, Mike, like that.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
Was really grim, guys. I was just picking. I love
Chris ben Lod. You guys are just fucking like, I
love that match. Just he has my favorites and she's like,
don't maybe, don't judge, don't be a piece of shit
about it.

Speaker 5 (24:11):
Uh, thick Pickens, there's a lot. I still like the ones.
There's like three, there's three. I really make a fucking peck.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
I'm hearing some of the yellow.

Speaker 5 (24:22):
I really, I mean the armagat and how in the
cell is not like the greatest, but it was amazing
what it represented to have all those guys the same match.
Survivor series, yep, but because of how unique it was,
how special it was. Rock and Mankind Empty Arena halftime

(24:42):
Heat nineteen ninety nine.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
I love that. That was so cool.

Speaker 5 (24:46):
I don't understand why they don't do that still, dude,
when they did that random NXT like and then tag
for halftime, and that was amazing.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
I love that, Like just pre tape a match and
just fucking I don't get it.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
Good draft, that's whatever. I'm already here. I'm over here
on the I'm over here on the Daniel Bryanson board.
Uh checking out.

Speaker 5 (25:11):
Dude, this is the Daniel Bryan board.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
This one's fucking stacked. I'm just the first time I'm
looking at the list and I'm first, and I'm just like,
oh fuck, I legitimately have fives and then I and
I haven't even down to a w yet. This is crazy,
absolutely crazy. This guy is fucking unbelievable. Is he the
best ever? Is he the best wrestler ever? Technically he's

(25:35):
certainly up there, Like he's better than Macho Man.

Speaker 5 (25:41):
H b K is number one.

Speaker 3 (25:42):
He's better than HBK. I don't even think that's close one.
He couldn't hold his job.

Speaker 5 (25:47):
In that conversation for number two with like Kurt Angle, I'm.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
Gonna, you know what, here's what I'm doing. I'm I'm
not picking this on anybody else's opinion.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
I think.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
I think. I think it's Brett and Danielson. That's your conversation.
Who's number one? Who's number two? No, I don't think, No,
I don't, I don't.

Speaker 5 (26:07):
They're all there number two for sure. Number one.

Speaker 3 (26:10):
No, not true. Just it's flat out not true, dude.
It's just it's not even close the truth. So I'm
going first. So I'm just instead of going with like
an educated way of trying to get people to like
my card, I'm going with you're going.

Speaker 5 (26:25):
With Brian Danielsky.

Speaker 3 (26:26):
No, what I'm doing is I'm going with the things
that I remember and some of the stuff that he's
done that made me the happiest in my life. And
I'm going with I am because I'm going with Brian
Danielson Undertaker and Kane against the Shield because to me,
to me, to me, that is.

Speaker 5 (26:47):
Daniel Brian Shield.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
Yeah, that's the raw match. That match, And let me
tell you something, it was that or the right back
one because that was incredible too. But adding the Undertaker
here is doing Daniel.

Speaker 5 (27:00):
Brian Undertaker and from I didn't think anybody would even
think about taking that match. I have it on my
list though.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
No, no, I mean this from the bottom of my heart,
because that night you got the Brothers of Destruction and
like Undertaker doing like almost comedic stuff because Kane's doing
the full on like the moaning in the in the
fucking thing at the time, like we had full on
like Doctor Shelby stuff, and now we had Undertaker to
it and it was incredible.

Speaker 5 (27:28):
The triple parbo Taker after the match.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
I remember this Shield because because who won the match?
Shield the Shield, dude, that was when we knew. That's
when we knew, Like the Shield just pinned Kane, Undertaker
and Daniel Brian in that fucking one moment. It was
just like.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
Even before that on the World It's like Russell May
they pinned like John.

Speaker 3 (27:51):
And this was this was this moment was different. This
when they picked when Undertaker took that when Undertaker is
in the loss Colum there and then they put him
out to the table and order the thing with the
powder up. But I'm telling you that's Tyler Black as
they fucking made it there and then also Brian Danielson. Danielson,

(28:14):
you know what I mean. My boys are growing up. Man,
it was like watching my It was like watching my
kids on TV. Okay, number two, Big show.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
This is as clear as day for me from my
number one and that's Brian Danielson versus Triple H from
WRESTLINGA thirty.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
This match so much. I love that match so much.
I watch it every year since it happened.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
I love that match, I really do.

Speaker 5 (28:45):
I'm gonna take the match that I initially thought Donnie
was taking.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
Mm hmmm. I put it on there.

Speaker 5 (28:51):
Daniel Brian Kanan ride Back versus The Shield tl C
twenty twelve, The Shields first match, insane.

Speaker 3 (28:57):
This match is fucking incredible, dude.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
Mm hmm. Yeah, it was so good. That's one of
the best debews of all time.

Speaker 5 (29:04):
I think that was the first ever TLC match where
it was like, it's not to go get a belt,
it's just there like pinfall submission and they just wrecked shop.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
It was amazing. I always remember.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
When they go to like the side of the stage
mm hmm, and there's a whole ton of fucking chairs.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Like, yeah, I love that match.

Speaker 5 (29:22):
He believed right back was part of it.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
He was he was a good bass for ship.

Speaker 5 (29:27):
Uh. That was easy pick for me. And then after
that it gets very difficult because there's so many great options.
I'm just gonna go with, uh what I think is
one of the biggest moments in his career, which is
against Randy Orton. Batista may have been to Wrestling thirty
and the match was amazing too.

Speaker 3 (29:48):
This is so hard. This is the hardest one by far.
Oh next, okay, this is the hardest one by far.
Just too many good ones. It's honestly, dude, Like one day,
hold on, we want an idea, an idea. We need
to do something where it's you know, art like maybe
like Sean Brett, who do you view as the number one?

Speaker 1 (30:11):
P J Brett my number one?

Speaker 3 (30:14):
Like technical wrestlerver like Sean Brett. We gotta do something
Sean Brett. Daniels said, like who's Who's is the best?
So find a format that we can like score it
on or something. Give me some tangible evidence to say
which one is the best.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
I probably would say I think Danilson's top Bretto, like
over the years.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
Like he might have because alone and long and longevity.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
Right, that's the thing.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
I think that's how he gets over on fucking shown
Michael's just on that alone. Nostalgia, Dude, he doesn't. Did
you look at it even if you know, I know,
you know, like a W but his ship in a
W was all bangers all the time. All his w
W stuff all bangers all the time. His Ring of
Honor stuff, all bangers all the time.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
Range of yeah, the comedic stuff character that even just.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
But just look when he was with the.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
Uh Earth Champion, the Champion, which is amazing eco friendly champion.
It's like Eric.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
Rowan, like from nowhere and was just like so entertaining.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
So I mean, I think I think Danielson has him anyway,
he draft.

Speaker 5 (31:22):
If I know one of the picks that is going
to make, and well let me just make my I
am just saying if you want to block him from it,
you got to do it.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
Now. You know.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
It's my number three pick, my number three match.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
My big boy is Daniel s vers Brock.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
Yeah, that is a block.

Speaker 5 (31:39):
He was taking that number one.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
That's what I thought.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
That is that is my second favorite match.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
Such a curve that that's a great match.

Speaker 5 (31:50):
But I can't believe you took it, could have gotten that.
I don't think.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
Listen, I just I just told you I was my heart.
I don't care. I don't listen. I can. I'm picking
in order to beat the things that I want. I
got it.

Speaker 2 (32:04):
Can we pick Danielson's commentary of the bear on.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
Looking Back? That was got and kept. Yeah, that was
against Tyson Kidd, Tyson kids. That was incredible. That was
one of my that's when they just let him do
the goofy shit he wants to do. That's incredible. Brian
Danielson versus Morishima and that's Fight Without Honor two thousand
and seven. Please, that is the I would argue that

(32:32):
that is my favorite match in his Ring of honor.
Run I will come back for the Yes is the
one when they beat the ship out of each other.
Yes you have the big fat Asian guy and him fighting.
Yes you have when when.

Speaker 5 (32:51):
He retired that time, we did like a special podcast
and we went over like his greatest matches and moments
and I watched a bunch and Danielson more Ashiman dude. Yeah,
I didn't watch those as they happened.

Speaker 3 (33:03):
Unbelievable, incredible, it's it's it's legitimately un fucking believable. They're
just so good. Uh okay, So now I legitimately have
to make a pivot, but I'm gonna pay. It's an
easy pivot for me. And I listen, who knew that
I love w B so much? Because I'm going to

(33:24):
Royal Rubell and I'm going to bray Wyatt.

Speaker 5 (33:28):
I knew you had to take that because wait, which one?
The twenty fourteen one, the good one?

Speaker 1 (33:33):
That's the one.

Speaker 5 (33:34):
They were both pretty good.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
I know they were both, but the he I like overalls.
I remember he had overalls, remember, yeah, the coveralls, overalls,
you call call which one?

Speaker 5 (33:49):
But he ditched them by that time.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
M h.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
God, I'm going Brian dance versus Kofee Kingston five baby.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
He had like so many chapters to his life, like
like with Sean. With Sean, he had his run in
the nineties, and then he had the run when he
came back right two times. Like if you're looking at
Brian Daniels and he's had like legitimately five different eras
of his career.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
It's crazy and very different.

Speaker 3 (34:22):
Yeah, and and succeeded and thrived in all of them.
It's very very impressive with Yeah, I love them, absolutely
love them.

Speaker 5 (34:29):
So I got his Machigan's Orton and Batista where he
wins the title at Wrestling at thirty. I think it's
fitting that I go and take what was essentially his
aw equivalent of that, which was against Swerve all in
twenty twenty four. Uh Swerve, Oh he wanted to murder

(34:50):
Brie and I'm berdie it's fair.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (34:55):
And then I'm also gonna take this is incredibly difficult,
but I'm gonna take one that is not often talked about.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
That is.

Speaker 5 (35:04):
One of the probably most underrated matches that has occurred
since we started doing the show. And I absolutely remember
talking about this match also when we did the pod
about Brian Dylson's best matches. Uh two out of three
falls the stream Rules twenty twelve against Seamus. This match
was unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
And it was it was Yeah, and a lot of
history because of the whole job and out thing that
they got made a part of it.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
So they were out there to prove a point. Yeah,
and they succeeded.

Speaker 3 (35:36):
That's a good one. That's a really good one.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
Thank you out next. There's so many matches, how many?

Speaker 3 (35:47):
How many do I have left?

Speaker 1 (35:48):
You have two left left? We you and I both
have two left. Mike has won.

Speaker 2 (35:53):
I okay, good, I'm gonna go against Sampung from Over
the Limit twenty twelve.

Speaker 5 (35:58):
Sigh up on my list, good pick.

Speaker 3 (36:07):
God damn it. Thinking about my favorite matches he had
in a W and thinking about the ones that, to me,
I thought impacted the company. That Iron Danielson m j
F iron Man match. I know it's maybe not his
best there, yes, but it's I think it's Adam Page match.

(36:32):
I think both the Adam Page matches were great, but
I think the second one was really really it was
it was that the first was the first one. No,
this yeah, this was a draw. Yeah, siming someone's coming,
someone's coming right on my shoes.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (36:53):
Uh sorry, I'm very sorry. Uh. And I am going
to say, oh god, And so you took one, yes, sir, okay,
and I'm gonna take. I'm gonna take and Danielson mcguinnis

(37:16):
Domination two thousand and seven. Mm hmmm, So the two
thousand and eight one, So yes, that's the correct one.

Speaker 5 (37:29):
I thought the two thousand and six one was his
best one. Maybe not.

Speaker 3 (37:33):
Which is the one damn it now, I gotta look
it up. I'm pretty sure the two thousand and seven
one was the pure rules one where they just beat
the ship out of each other with headbutts and fucking
definitely fucked each other up pretty good and I'm done right,
You're done. Yeah that was for me. This I don't

(37:55):
know what here.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
No, there's just so many and.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
Shout out a couple like his run in twenty nineteen
was so awesome. But he had a match against Roman
in twenty twenty one to get that fast Lane. Yeah,
another one in twentyeen and fast Laning, but he and
then the Triple Threat wrestling in thirty seven.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
I really enjoyed his match styles and last match AJ style.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
Yeah, that was a great match, Mike. But the ag
styles of TLC twenty eighteen was great.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
But I'm gonna go with ooh ooh, I forgot about
that Danielson Adam Cole when they the snow happened, is
that the one?

Speaker 5 (38:39):
No, it wasn't snow.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
That was when there that's hostage and that.

Speaker 3 (38:43):
Was that was good. That was really fun too.

Speaker 5 (38:47):
That shows.

Speaker 1 (38:53):
I don't think this is a better match.

Speaker 2 (38:55):
I'm gonna go with it for the moment Danielson and
Omega from Dyme Miite Grandson because I was debating the
Osprey match from Dynasty last year. I think the moment
with Omego was so fucking cool and like at the
arena was awesome.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
Can I can I give one a shout out? I'd
like to shant one out if I can give a
shout out of here. Uh Ricky Ricky Saints and Danielson
had that death match that was very good.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
That was good.

Speaker 2 (39:24):
I also want to do another shout out because Mike's
not gonna take this ring him honor for a show.
Donnie the Triple Threat. I thought that was so awesome,
Spanky dude, don't hang on.

Speaker 6 (39:40):
He's I also thought I'm gonna gon shout out Eddie
Kingston's best match because this is his match is Daisen
was fucking awesome.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
I still think Punk Spin Him back Fist also, Eddie,
Eddie Kingston, m Punk was a great match.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
That was a great match. Mike, you're fort I.

Speaker 5 (40:00):
Would take more Shima, but Donn here took a more
Shima match, So I'm just gonna I'm gonna let it
go because there's so many other great options too.

Speaker 3 (40:07):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (40:08):
He was in a couple He's like the king of
elimination chamber. He was got a couple of amazing elimination
chamber matches, But I'm gonna go with one that I
thought for its time was because a lot of times
in this era, WW wasn't giving us the best weekly television.
To believe it or not, but the bill to this

(40:29):
match was amazing. The match itself was great, the atmosphere,
and then what happened after Daniel Brien was Johnson a
SummerSlam twenty thirteen. Uh, Danie O'Brien telling Johnson and he's
like a fucking piece of shit leading up to Summer Slam.
Daniel Brian beats him. Everybody can't even believe it, and
then Triple Ah shows up and focks him over as

(40:51):
especially as for free and Orton catches in.

Speaker 3 (40:53):
Yep, that is an all time moment mm hmm. And
that is by design. Vince wanted to berry Brian Danielson.
I stand by that, That's exactly what it was.

Speaker 5 (41:07):
Very trying dances by having a beat Johnson.

Speaker 3 (41:10):
Yep, yeah, he look you that. He gave his a
little rubbed and you got the title right off of them.
See you're happy. I gave you kids some scraps. Now
you're not hungry anymore. Get the fun.

Speaker 5 (41:18):
That's certainly one way to look at it.

Speaker 3 (41:20):
That's how I do for you. Literally have looked at
it since fucking twenty thirteen, like you, twelve years. We've
been doing the show a long time. You have almost
fourteen years.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
Wow, yea, those are fun drafts dot com slash ring
rest vote for who put together the best?

Speaker 3 (41:39):
Yeah he said, hell yeah, he said they dickhead dude
pagean dot com slash videos. You please vote on these.
Don't listen. I know it's evergreen content, but like fucking
you're welcome. Go fucking vote. It's fucking you. Just sign up.

(42:00):
You don't even need to pay money to vote, so
just get your okay, pay one dollar? Are you so cheap? This?
Support us?

Speaker 1 (42:08):
God?

Speaker 3 (42:08):
There is it's so hard to fucking support us and
love us dollars? Oh my god, dude, one less Starbucks,
your fat pig Jesus Christ, take a dollar.

Speaker 5 (42:20):
Stars.

Speaker 3 (42:21):
Let's move on. I dedicate it to the throw back.

Speaker 7 (42:28):
I see the shot six, you see one night Stand.

Speaker 3 (42:32):
I won't hold back.

Speaker 7 (42:33):
Let's take the rempanties to battle in the back Man seven,
One Man Stand. We'll bring it back to the days
of flooring down in Haye on the National Maid how
he drops the land if you see the days of
hold on the best though.

Speaker 3 (42:46):
That's why we.

Speaker 7 (42:46):
Bring to your rings, Red Trow.

Speaker 3 (42:49):
Let's go, I guys, ever another additional ring. This time
we're doing Batman Forever and why good question, Jim Carrey.
Maybe chryst O'donald Chris he was on rall, Oh dude,

(43:13):
we are. Honestly, I like Batman Forever, So I'm gonna
just let it slide again.

Speaker 5 (43:18):
I know.

Speaker 3 (43:18):
Well, here's the thing. This was no because this was
a time when I was, you know, hanging out with
different people and they liked it and it was on,
so like it wasn't bad. I didn't I'm not into Batman. Well, honestly,
I would have been like seven. So it's what I
say with my wife. My kids hang out with who
we tell them to, which is our friends kids or

(43:41):
their cousins. M that's what it is. People hanging out
the movie theater seeing this movie by yourself with my dad.
He was like, I need to shut this dude up
for five minutes. I'm drinking cans of beer and I
brought in. Maybe he definitely was, Dude, he looked out
at you. He's like, fuck amazing.

Speaker 2 (44:00):
Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carry are fucking great as
two faces.

Speaker 1 (44:06):
Very forward in this movie.

Speaker 5 (44:07):
Oh yeah, I was so pumped for this movie as
a little kid. One of the theater had all the toys.
I feel like this movie gets shipped on. Yeah, in
so Batman and Robin gets shipped on, But I feel
like this movie gets overlooked, even in comparison to Batman
and Robin. It's overheted. I don't get I agree with that.

Speaker 1 (44:29):
I think this is better than Batman.

Speaker 3 (44:31):
Can I say something to you? I come at this
from a very outside looking in perspective, right, None of
this ship like means anything to me. So if you
can garner a reaction like genuinely, then that means you're
doing good telling a good story. Like if you tell

(44:52):
a good story no matter the characters, I get into it.
So like, I enjoyed this movie. So I don't. I
don't understand the hate and dude all star fucking can
timon the Jones incredible, uh nicole kidman, I think is
actually I don't like her at all, and she's actually
bearable in this movie. Val Kilmer, I mean, of course,
but Val Kilmer got gets shipped on. But Val Kilmer

(45:13):
was great in this movie.

Speaker 5 (45:14):
I yeah, I agree, He's no Keaton, but he's solid.

Speaker 3 (45:20):
Hold on man. Michael Keaton's my favorite one of all
the guys that have done it. I don't think he's
that bad at all. I think he's just different. Yeah,
just that he's not bad at all.

Speaker 5 (45:30):
I said, he's no Keaton, who's the best, but he's slid.

Speaker 3 (45:32):
I mean, it's just it was just it was just
like now that I look at them, like it's the
same role, same story, because it's it's but it's done
by different people, you know what I mean. So like
if I when I think of Batman, honestly, I think
of the old show that the West One that that's
the one that I watched on TV on reruns and ship,
So that's my Batman's. All these other ones are just

(45:54):
like compared to that. And to face me and Tim
of the Jones is incredible. And also Jim Carrey, what year.

Speaker 5 (45:59):
Is this movie?

Speaker 3 (46:01):
Jim Carrey is like the height of Jim Carrey's time,
and like he is fucking awesome in this movie too.
This This was good. Fuck everybody.

Speaker 5 (46:08):
I love like the cartoonish nature of the movie, Like.

Speaker 3 (46:12):
Is this Tim Burton? Is he doing this one? Still? No?

Speaker 5 (46:16):
But it's it's different like tim Burton's was a different
type of thing. This is like even more cartoony than that,
And I think that's the fun of it. It sets
it apart from the other ones, especially like the more
recent ones. It's unique. Yeah, as a kid, which is
when I first saw him, of course I love this show.

Speaker 3 (46:33):
Yeah, I can't. I don't. I mean I can't. I'm
hard for me to compare and just watch him in
a vacuum.

Speaker 1 (46:37):
But it's very comic, book.

Speaker 5 (46:39):
Like Yeah, two Face so into the plot, face tim Burton.

Speaker 3 (46:44):
Tim Burton was a producer on this film though the
oh but I don't think it was. Joel Schumacher was
a director, right, Uh?

Speaker 5 (46:53):
Two Face traps batman in a safe with a hostage. Somehow,
this heavy ass safe is hanging from a helicopter that
is in great probly dangerous to two Face. How is
the handling?

Speaker 3 (47:05):
I have to tell you from the bottom of my heart.
Is this learning tunes?

Speaker 1 (47:09):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (47:10):
So I'm just looking at the front coverless. I went
to the wiki, and I'll tell you right away what
the difference is the color. The other ones were so
much darker, and this one was so bright, like the
Two Faces bright color. Everybody's like, it's so vibrant compared
to the previous Tim Burton ones. Well, yes, I.

Speaker 1 (47:29):
Agree with the direction of the movie.

Speaker 5 (47:31):
Uh, the safe starts filling up with acid. But Batman,
he's able to open the stavem esscape of course.

Speaker 3 (47:38):
Uh. Two Faces. He puts the.

Speaker 5 (47:40):
Club on the helicopter steering wheel and jumps out. The
club is so nineties. That ship due My grandma had one.
I'm pretty sure.

Speaker 3 (47:48):
I gotta tell you this is a This is a
time capsule. We're watching here, and I think I love that.

Speaker 5 (47:55):
Bruce Wayne meets with his employee employee Edward Nigma nigga.

Speaker 3 (48:00):
Uh, I do comic books are nerds? Dude, who knew Jim.

Speaker 5 (48:06):
Jim Carrey amazing this role? Fuck the haters?

Speaker 3 (48:09):
Yeah, I don't get like whatever fun you know again,
this is why you don't. Can you watch the movie
without hearing anyone or listening to anyone, and then you
formulate your own opinions. It's wonderful. Y'all should try it.

Speaker 5 (48:20):
The slide that Bruce Wayne goes down from his office
to the Batcave looks fun as hell.

Speaker 3 (48:25):
Yeah, I mean this is this definitely feels a little
bit more like the show, you know what I mean,
Like the previous Batman movies and this like that I
watched they were darker, right, but this is like the
show was kind of fun, you know what I mean.
They're layer and ship like that. It was Figritt and
ship up beat.

Speaker 5 (48:44):
Batman asked Nicole Kidman if she's trying to get under
his cape.

Speaker 3 (48:47):
She totally was.

Speaker 5 (48:50):
She used the bat signal and her titties were popping out.

Speaker 3 (48:53):
God, I get why Tom Cruise, you know, tried to
make her crazy.

Speaker 5 (48:58):
The bat signals in the only headline out you know
what I mean, I don't.

Speaker 3 (49:02):
I've never heard that term you're talking about. You don headlights?
Oh headlights? There has got it? Uh.

Speaker 5 (49:08):
Edig Mo lost his ship and he used the brainwave
machine on a guy and then he pushes him out
a window and kills him.

Speaker 3 (49:14):
Uh. This dude was like his supervisor. I don't know
this man's name, but he was in literally every movie
ever made. I think he's like in everything. He's in
every show. I remember for a while.

Speaker 5 (49:27):
Uh, Enigma wrote a fake suicide note for the guy,
and he left a riddle for Bruce. Uh, by god,
I think he might be the Riddler.

Speaker 3 (49:34):
Oh my god.

Speaker 5 (49:37):
Uh, Bruce and Nicole Kim and go to the circus
for some reason.

Speaker 3 (49:40):
Because that's what you fucking do in a comic book.
You do irrational things like like that are vibrant, is
shit and colorful so I can draw into my little blocks.

Speaker 5 (49:51):
We see the Flying Graysons. I know that guy that's
gonna be Robin.

Speaker 3 (49:56):
Can I tell you when I when I turned it on,
I remembered this and I was like, oh, ship, they're
gonna get it.

Speaker 5 (50:02):
Yeah. I really did not watch Batman forever in a
long time, and I was like, oh shit, I forgot
they all died. Yeah, Two Face shows up with a
bomb to lure in Batman. Robin throws the bomb into
a river, but Two Face shoots down the rest of
the Flying Grayson's and they all fall.

Speaker 3 (50:18):
Their death was fucking dark.

Speaker 5 (50:21):
I know.

Speaker 3 (50:22):
I was like, well, the coloring of this, the whole
scene is is very I love I love how great scene.

Speaker 2 (50:31):
I was never a fan of Robin, though in any form.

Speaker 5 (50:34):
I like Chris O'Donnell Robin specifically. I think he's very
good in the role.

Speaker 1 (50:40):
He's pretty good. He has a bit of an edge
to him.

Speaker 5 (50:41):
Yeah, I agreed, I agreed. I think that's why I
like it.

Speaker 3 (50:44):
Yeah, a sassy twink you're talking about. I mean, like,
I mean, this is what he is, right, That's what
this dude is. He's like, he's like the link guy.

Speaker 1 (50:56):
Like nobody heard him scream that he's Batman.

Speaker 3 (51:00):
No, that's how he That's when he finishes. He yells
at when he's finishing. That's how he That's how she
finds out.

Speaker 5 (51:10):
Bruce takes Robin in after his whole family died because
he feels kind of bad be as his parents died.

Speaker 1 (51:15):
And also he kind of like a bike and a meal.

Speaker 3 (51:19):
Oh, he's a pedophile.

Speaker 2 (51:21):
Bruce has his own guess pump impressive, impressive.

Speaker 3 (51:26):
He has like a j Leno type of Hopefully he
doesn't burn his face as much and get beat up
by fucking bookies. And he got beat up by bookies. Dude,
I know when someone gets her asking PJJJJ did he
fall down the hill or did he know veto some
fucking bread. I don't know what you talking about, but
it looks like the guy took for huh hey, hey,

(51:48):
maybe next time, don't press the hard on the giants,
don'ty uh.

Speaker 5 (51:54):
Two Face tries to blow up Batman and the Patmobile,
but Batman drives up a fucking wall.

Speaker 3 (52:00):
Good.

Speaker 5 (52:01):
That's pretty sweet.

Speaker 3 (52:02):
He's like my children off the wall.

Speaker 2 (52:05):
Two Faces car machine guns, and Donny's car could barely
get us over the bridge.

Speaker 3 (52:10):
Well, that's not that's very accurate. Accurate. That's we were
like pegging it in the slow lane. It's like she's moving.

Speaker 5 (52:24):
She kick started the Ridler trying to think of what
his name should be is like Donnie trying to cole
with podcast.

Speaker 3 (52:30):
Names, brain Dead, Murder. You're just not something. There's things
are good at, things are not good at.

Speaker 5 (52:41):
Given how big of a star Drew Barrymore, was pretty
crazy that she's in like a bit role.

Speaker 3 (52:46):
Yeah, but that's kind of that's kind of yeah, but
that's kind of the allure of this movie is like
every there's a lot of stars, and everywhere you looked,
there's like, oh, I know that is.

Speaker 5 (52:57):
To face the riller bond over their desire to humiliate
and kill Batman. So they joined forces, but only after
Two Face flips a coin to make sure it's okay
it is.

Speaker 3 (53:07):
I have that coin. That was one thing that I
do really have is a two Faced coin because the
one side's all scratched up and it's made by them.
It's a really cool coin. Yeah, friend of mine gave
it to me and he's like, it's just cool as shit.
He's like, dude, I think that was like cool. I'll
take that, but yeah, that's that's from That coin is
from this movie. Like again, this is ninety five we

(53:30):
are I am eighty seven, so I'm literally like eight
years old. So when my parents are like, hey, we're
gonna do anything better to be with you, guys like
put on it, put on a movie real quick. This
is what was put on. I guarantee I will say this.
I guaran fucking te you that my family didn't own this.
I guarantee you this was a Blockbuster rental. I guarantee

(53:52):
you this isn't this is that prime time. This was
a Blockbuster rental. Based on the cover alone.

Speaker 5 (53:58):
Did you steal it from Blockbuster?

Speaker 1 (54:00):
No?

Speaker 3 (54:00):
I actually I dude, I had the tape rewinder. I
brought I was I'd be kind everywind good.

Speaker 5 (54:07):
I don't know what happened to you, but you used
to be.

Speaker 3 (54:10):
I'm not tipping at a fucking buffet.

Speaker 5 (54:14):
Enigmas trying to tricking all of Gotham into buying his
brain control device. They just think it's a three D
box with their TV, But little do they know.

Speaker 3 (54:21):
Oh Man Plankton uses this exact scheme one SpongeBob twenty
years later, while Master Dick, I'm gonna yeah, I gotta
find it. Let me, let me find this on real quick.
Uh Okay, calling a man dick is just so rough,

(54:43):
is what I've wrote here. My father, my father in law,
is Richard. You know what I mean. You call that
man dick, he gonna punch you in the mouth. Yeah, dude,
but you don't you like he was not the first
time your father.

Speaker 5 (55:00):
Al Robin sneaks into Bruce Wayne's secret room and finds
the Batcave that he steals the batmobile.

Speaker 3 (55:10):
Dude, that's what he is. Such an angsty team. He's like,
Dad doesn't even dead lied to me. I'm gonna see his.

Speaker 5 (55:18):
Car drives into the worst part of town possible and
gets in a fight with all these dudes in Jeff
Hardy face paint Dude.

Speaker 2 (55:25):
One, and that like the main guy he fights kind
of reminded a little bit of Batista.

Speaker 5 (55:30):
He should have to bomb though. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
Also, Bruce basically has like an eye watch.

Speaker 3 (55:36):
Yeah, well it's it's it's how I always felt about
James Bond, Like his stuff was always way ahead. It's time.
He's like, I've got this new contraption called the microwave,
and you're like, wait, hold on, that wasn't like a
that's new for you.

Speaker 5 (55:51):
Bruce Wayne is so much better than James Bond because
he doesn't force himself on the woman.

Speaker 3 (55:57):
I think that the James Bond women are like the
Dean Martin girl and outside.

Speaker 5 (56:03):
No, I don't think so, I do.

Speaker 3 (56:05):
I don't think so.

Speaker 5 (56:06):
I choose Batman shows up to save Rob and he
starts punching him and blaming him for his family dying.
Then he's like, I'm part of this now and I'm
gonna murder two face.

Speaker 3 (56:17):
I gotta tell you right now in this moment, he's
kind of right. He's kind of right though, he's kind
of right. He could he could have seen, you know,
he could have saved his parents. He's kind of rights Batman.

Speaker 2 (56:31):
Bruce tells Dick, my family was also killed by a maniac.

Speaker 1 (56:36):
Dick, no reaction whatsoever, and you should understand.

Speaker 5 (56:41):
Uh. Ed Enigma suddenly swab as hell at an event
for his mind. Drew Barrymore is with him, and she
also wants to bang Bruce. That dude is just a
magnetic personality.

Speaker 3 (56:51):
And I don't know who the I mean, I know recognize,
I don't know her name. The other assistant like one's good,
one's evil.

Speaker 5 (56:58):
Yes, I I write she's been in anything as well,
but I don't know her name.

Speaker 3 (57:01):
Yeah, I mean like, I mean, I like that dichotomy.
This is all very fun, like this is this really
is such a like such a change of pace and
such a over the top it's it's like a comic
book come to life.

Speaker 5 (57:14):
Honestly, Two Face shows up the wreck shop, so naturally
Batman does as well. He saved Nicole kim In and
she's like, come to my house midnight to bang me, dude.

Speaker 3 (57:26):
Hold on real quickly. I wish somebody in my life
just before I die. I just want someone to say
those words to me like that that aren't I don't
want to be Mike, you know what I mean. Yeah,
but she'll be like, man, yeah, she's been just been
over it, dude, she's seen that. Yeah, she's pretended. I've

(57:48):
heard the mends.

Speaker 5 (57:50):
Two Face tries to blow up Batman, but he has
like a fire resistance suit or some ship that's never
really explained.

Speaker 3 (57:55):
I just assume, suspend disbelief. It's a lot like wrestling.

Speaker 5 (57:59):
Robin shows up in his new suit and he saves Batman.
Batman pretty damn ungrateful, to be honest with.

Speaker 3 (58:05):
You, honestly, Val Kilma a little bit come on, a
little saltya.

Speaker 5 (58:10):
I think it's because he wanted to get fucking out
of there to go hammer Nicole Kidman.

Speaker 3 (58:15):
That's what it was, dude. He's getting cock black by
this little this little dweeb.

Speaker 5 (58:19):
But now she wants Bruce Wayne instead. Make up your
damn mind.

Speaker 3 (58:24):
Yeah, women playing that women.

Speaker 5 (58:26):
Dude, Bruce is acting all emo, saying he's gonna retire
from me in Batman. He's gonna tell h Nicole Kid.

Speaker 3 (58:33):
Oh my god, this is him being like, this is him,
like this is when her friends like I want to
keep going, but I need you to tell me that,
Like I'm gonna hang it up, just be like, no,
you shouldn't be like thanks, man, I needed to hear that.
He's like, all right, dude, fucking just tell me you're
doubting yourself. Fuck.

Speaker 5 (58:50):
Just as Nicole Kimman finds out, Riddler and two fays
break into the Wayne manner. They they did this because
it's Halloween Knight, and the gates were like closing for
the trigger treers leaving. They snuck in.

Speaker 3 (59:00):
Yeah, good move, good move on Halloween, by the way.

Speaker 5 (59:05):
Yeah they find the back even Ridler starts blowing ship up.

Speaker 3 (59:09):
Love it.

Speaker 5 (59:10):
No one could tell me Riddler doing the picture gimmick
with the bomb isn't funny and entertaining, So shut the
fuck up.

Speaker 3 (59:15):
Jim Carry, I got you something, and I'm gonna say this,
I mean this and bomb my heart. Jim carried his
peak better than Adam Sandlor his.

Speaker 5 (59:23):
Sorry I don't agree, but I love them both.

Speaker 2 (59:26):
But I'm cred I don't remember this scene like the
next one, but Jim Carry just screamed out joy gasm.

Speaker 1 (59:33):
Yeah, that's pretty fucking little vunch over there for a
kids movie.

Speaker 5 (59:37):
It was two Face was about to blow Bruce's brains out,
but Riddler stopped him so he could toy with him
some more. Big mistake. Should have just blown his brains out. Yeah,
they always fucked that up. That's why they're bad guys.
Riddler turns the bad signal into a question mark. That's
some good ship like that.

Speaker 3 (59:56):
All the visuals in this are very entertaining. His all
his like, the room was changed in his chair, all
of it.

Speaker 5 (01:00:02):
Batman puts on his new suit since it's the only
one that wasn't destroyed, and we get a close up
shot of his ass.

Speaker 3 (01:00:07):
You sure, dude, that was like, I need this in here.

Speaker 5 (01:00:12):
And then Robin comes back after running away. He has
a new suit that was made by Alfred. Batman accepts him,
and it's time to fuck up the bad guys. Yeah, Alfred.

Speaker 3 (01:00:22):
Also also hold on obvious Robin.

Speaker 5 (01:00:27):
Yes, he the math does not conceal.

Speaker 3 (01:00:30):
I was saying, nobody's hiding it. Well, if I'm on this,
you know what I mean. It's like it's always the
Superman thing where he's just standing there as a guy.
He takes off his glasses and he's like, I'm totally
fucking different.

Speaker 5 (01:00:41):
Nowman has his whole top of his face is covered.

Speaker 3 (01:00:47):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (01:00:47):
Riddler trying to blow up Batman and Robin like it's
battleship was pretty goonny.

Speaker 1 (01:00:51):
That was great.

Speaker 3 (01:00:53):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (01:00:54):
Instead of murdering two Face like you should have, Robin
saves him from falling to his death, and two Face
pulls a gun on him. I am shot.

Speaker 3 (01:01:01):
What's shot? See it's that's his No, that's his Uh,
that's his naive ways, he's not Batman doesn't kill people.
He will let you die.

Speaker 5 (01:01:11):
Riddler presents Batman with a real Sophie's choice. Either save
Nicole Kidman or you save Robin the girl.

Speaker 3 (01:01:17):
Oh, I don't have to choose. Who might be just justice.

Speaker 5 (01:01:22):
Riddler's about to kill him. Batman destroys Riddler's mind control
machine with this batter rang Yeah you go, that was
a really easy way to defeat Riddler for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
Yes, why did you do that when we first got here.

Speaker 5 (01:01:35):
Then he saves both Robin and Nicole Kimman from falling
their death, but Two Face shows up with a gun.

Speaker 3 (01:01:42):
He's gonna kill him, but then Benman's like, wait, uh, don't.

Speaker 5 (01:01:46):
You flip a coin for that? He's like, fuck, you're right, man,
you're a good friend. I will flip the coin.

Speaker 3 (01:01:51):
Decide if I should kill you, and he flips it, and.

Speaker 5 (01:01:53):
Then Batman throws a bunch of other coins at him
and causes The.

Speaker 3 (01:01:58):
Best part is he's got this crazy soon with all
that shit, and he's also got like a roll of
quarters just in case he's gotta crack somebody. He's like, finally, this.

Speaker 5 (01:02:06):
Always has what he needs.

Speaker 1 (01:02:07):
It's fucking great.

Speaker 5 (01:02:08):
Ridler gets locked up in Arkham Asylum. He's saying he
knows who Batman is. So they bring Nicole Kimmen in
and talk to him because she's actually a psychologist that's
their job, and she's a little bit worried that he's
gonna spill the beans about Bruce. And we see Riddler
through the little window and he's like I am Batman
and he's flapping around like a bat because it's fucking crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:02:27):
Yeah, love it. Great movie. Ten out of ten. Yeah
I don't.

Speaker 5 (01:02:33):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (01:02:33):
Again, I'm not even a superhero.

Speaker 5 (01:02:35):
People who hate on this need to fucking get a life.

Speaker 3 (01:02:37):
I think it's just it's a silent, it's a time
period piece. Okay, Like you have to like look at it, like.

Speaker 5 (01:02:44):
Like you can't compare this to the Dark Knight. They're
totally different movies.

Speaker 3 (01:02:47):
But also remember it's nineteen ninety five. Remember what they
were going for and take like I said, taking in
a vacuum. And like you said, when you watch a
movie from the eighties, you're like, oh, this is the
eighties experience.

Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
The thing is like, this was there intent, Like you
might not. It's fine to not like the intent, but
like they achieved what they were trying to do, right,
Like they didn't want to be Batman and Batman returns.

Speaker 3 (01:03:08):
Yeah, I think I think they were colorful and grand
yose and over the top.

Speaker 1 (01:03:15):
Yeah, it's a different vibe. It's entertaining.

Speaker 5 (01:03:20):
I appreciate that. Through the years, Batman movies were very different.

Speaker 3 (01:03:25):
Yeah, as any good, as any successful series of movies goes,
you need to change up. Keep a lot of the
same characters and you know, stories and stuff like that,
but change in ways, I mean, adapt to what's happening.
So and sometimes listen, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

(01:03:46):
Major League worked, Back to the minors was awful. It was,
it was, it really was. And I'm sure there's shitty
Batman movies. I'm sure I thought Robin sucked when I
saw it. To be honesty, I did not like rob him. Yeah,
I did like that one. You like it?

Speaker 5 (01:04:03):
That's the next one?

Speaker 3 (01:04:06):
Yeah, Well, I haven't seen it in a very very
long time. I remember when I watched as a kid.
I didn't like it very much.

Speaker 5 (01:04:12):
I liked it.

Speaker 3 (01:04:13):
I had we had the or my friend not man?

Speaker 5 (01:04:16):
How could you not like it?

Speaker 3 (01:04:17):
Well? Listen list brother.

Speaker 5 (01:04:21):
Pature ship shacked if it ain't working, promo uh.

Speaker 2 (01:04:29):

(01:05:35):
he He's like, I want you guys to review Major League.
Can I ask a question up top? Sure? What's the
WW connection here, Charlie Sheen?

Speaker 5 (01:05:47):
My assumption.

Speaker 1 (01:05:50):
Is that Charlie she must have been on Raw one
time or something.

Speaker 3 (01:05:52):
Yeah, that's like was Dorn like a fucking a w
a rest or something, you know, like you know what,
what's with the skips?

Speaker 5 (01:06:00):
I just have to assume that when Charlie she was
in his Tiger Blood era, they.

Speaker 3 (01:06:04):
Showed him in the front row of one time, he
definitely was Vince Winning hold on a minute, Vince one
and a half man. He loved and he loved Charlie Sheen.

Speaker 2 (01:06:16):
He's like this fucking guy twenty third, twenty twelve and
kind of like skyped in.

Speaker 1 (01:06:21):
Basically, I knew it had to be.

Speaker 5 (01:06:24):
It had to be.

Speaker 3 (01:06:25):
Vince is like a hell reason.

Speaker 5 (01:06:28):
But if it's a movie like Major League, I don't care.

Speaker 1 (01:06:30):
And Brian Danielson was part of it.

Speaker 3 (01:06:33):
He was on Raw one thousand, wow. Wow wow wow wow.
All right, let's get it, let's do it. But yeah,
I agree, but I agree, I agree.

Speaker 5 (01:06:44):
Eighteen eighty nine, A great year, the year.

Speaker 1 (01:06:49):
I haven't seen this movie since I was a kid?

Speaker 3 (01:06:51):
What I have?

Speaker 5 (01:06:52):
Because if they play it on.

Speaker 3 (01:06:53):
Like yeah, we'll say, how do you how have you
never hold on? How have you never gone back and
just actively watched? It's one of the all time classic
baseball movies, one of the all time classic comedies sports movies.
Like yeah, like fucking if you're made, dude, this is
that's very stupid. I gotta be honest with you. You're
stupid for that.

Speaker 5 (01:07:14):
So before we like really get into the plot and everything,
I just want to give you this time. If you
have a problematic soapbox speech to make about Indians Guardian situation,
now would be the time to do it so we
don't have to keep going back to it.

Speaker 3 (01:07:28):
I wasn't going to do that, but I would like
to get up there and be like, now that you offer,
I think that it's horseshit that they continue to make
these fucking teams. Well, are the Chicago Blackhawks next?

Speaker 1 (01:07:39):
Like?

Speaker 3 (01:07:40):
When when can hold on? When can it just be
an homage? Can I do some sort of like yearly
seminar to make it better so I can shove your
shit the fuck down, Like the redskins. Is I get
that's racist. That's literally a racist name, right.

Speaker 5 (01:07:56):
I will say the Indians' logo is super easy.

Speaker 3 (01:07:58):
Yeah, sure, so change the logo, go into something a little.

Speaker 5 (01:08:01):
Better look and see and it just wasn't the same.

Speaker 3 (01:08:04):
Listen. Yeah, well here's the thing, like the braves like
they literally says braves on like that's a good compliment. Yeah,
Like that's a comment. Like I don't know if the
doing the tomahawk chop in the crowd is cool? Really
what they use tomahawks and we're fucking tomahawk? Can you
guys to fuck up? We're chopping you up. I think

(01:08:25):
people need to stop being.

Speaker 1 (01:08:28):
You know what.

Speaker 3 (01:08:29):
You know what if Looney Tunes taught me one thing,
stereotypes are true, and I'm down for generalizations.

Speaker 5 (01:08:35):
I don't think that's the what I got, dude, that's
exactly what I got, dude. Alright, Major league on that
the Indians owner died, so his ex show girl wife
is taking over. She's sabotaging the team by bringing bump
players in a career minor league manager. What the White
SOPs are doing right now?

Speaker 3 (01:08:55):
Literally? Does did you know that there's an alternative ending
that was a richly pitch pitch for this that it
started with where she It was a whole ploy the
whole time, and she was actually in on it.

Speaker 5 (01:09:07):
Oh, she was actually nice. Yeah, this was to motivate.

Speaker 3 (01:09:10):
Yeah, and when they did the screening the yeah, when
they know when they did the screening, people are like, fuck,
we want the bitch version. We were like, you know, it's.

Speaker 5 (01:09:19):
Easier to have a true villain. Yeah, she wants to
move the Indians to Miami, so she was ahead of
her time.

Speaker 3 (01:09:27):
Honestly, call her Derek Tear.

Speaker 5 (01:09:30):
Pretty funny that the Marlins beat the Indians in the
ninety seven World Series. When you're given the plot of
Major League.

Speaker 3 (01:09:37):
It is, Yeah, never thought of that one time until
this minute. I don't know what to think of it. Now.
That's interesting.

Speaker 5 (01:09:47):
Jake Taylor is on a bender in Mexico and they
called him to bring him in for spring training.

Speaker 3 (01:09:51):
Yep. The manager Lou Brown can tell you something. Rick
Vaughan was in jail. Yeah, and can I tell you
the whole Jake thing. It's kind of he's founding down
because he's in you. It's it's kind of that.

Speaker 5 (01:10:08):
We got Pedro Serrano. He defects from Cuba because he
wanted religious freedom for his voodoo.

Speaker 3 (01:10:13):
And also he's right because he can't hit the fucking
and rightly so he came here unless he came in
the right way, gotcha. He in Trouble with the Curve,
could not hit.

Speaker 5 (01:10:24):
It was did you ever see that movie? By the way,
Trouble with the Curve? No baseball movie, No Clint Eastwood,
justin Timberlake and Amy Adams the most random.

Speaker 3 (01:10:35):
Inflection I am out. That's also played on MLB Network sometimes.

Speaker 5 (01:10:40):
That's how I ended up watching it.

Speaker 3 (01:10:42):
Was it good or what is the purpose?

Speaker 5 (01:10:44):
It was okay, but it was just like, uh, they
drafted like some dude like number one overall and he
couldn't hit the curve. Ball ended up being a bum.
But some dude that was like fucking Janitor they signed
and he was like an east pitcher.

Speaker 3 (01:10:56):
It's like, what are we doing here? Nicky Mooney acted
nicking money seriously, like come on, come on, let's go.
Can I tell you.

Speaker 2 (01:11:09):
Another outside reminded me of I'm gonna say this.

Speaker 3 (01:11:13):
To you right now because we're just gonna be name like,
fuck you guys, you've seen a million times. We're gonna
be talking for this together. Can I tell you again,
I'm gonna be like the thought bubbles on v H
one back in the day, because I've watched a documentary
about this movie. Because I do love this movie, genuinely.
I love baseball movies in particular. But the the Willie

(01:11:34):
Mays Hayes he is, Wesley Studness is actually a very
slow runner. So they slowed it down to make him
seem faster. Okay, so that's a little known fact. Wesley
type slow as ship. Also don't pay his taxes. I
can't remember. I can't remember my child's birthday, Okay, but

(01:11:56):
that kind of ship just sits here forever. Man, Is
that true? No, it's eight three, eighteen nineteen. I got it.
You were thinking to say eight Well, I get it.
I get a mixed out. That's I do. Eighteen nineteen.

Speaker 5 (01:12:07):
Oh, brother, Rick Vaughan is the same luggage as Donnie.
A trash bag?

Speaker 3 (01:12:11):
Yeah, listen to listen. Yeah, well the best part it
was a contractor bag. You got the thick walls.

Speaker 5 (01:12:18):
Yeah, true, they don't rip, they don't rip.

Speaker 3 (01:12:20):
Don't rip.

Speaker 5 (01:12:21):
What the hell league you've been playing in California? Penal?

Speaker 3 (01:12:25):
Yep? Great?

Speaker 1 (01:12:25):
Like this this.

Speaker 3 (01:12:28):
Yes, what was the movie where he's making fun of Rambo?
Charlie Sheen. It's like Top. It's like top Gun, not Top, No,
not Top. It's a it's a spoof. It's a spoof movie.

Speaker 1 (01:12:40):
It wasn't.

Speaker 3 (01:12:43):
No, well, it's a it's a mix. It really was
Hindy and Rambo, but it was I God damn it,
it's I can't think of the name of it. But
it's got that kind of NonStop comedic timing to this
that really makes it so endearing to you and so
honestly enduring as a film. Like just a bit outside
that's like, how many times have we fucking said that

(01:13:06):
million while watching a game and the fucking dude just
gets a little wild and we all do the bob
yucker fucking voice. Uh.

Speaker 5 (01:13:15):
William Mays Hayes has taking DP in spring training. It's
like twenty pop ups in a row. Uh, Lou tells
him hit that ship on the ground and leg it out. Uh,
this dude was like pulling a fucking Scott Pod said Nick,
you remember scap I do.

Speaker 3 (01:13:28):
I was gonna say something him in Fantasy every year
because he was steal like fifty sixty bases.

Speaker 5 (01:13:32):
Then he started trying to hit for power and.

Speaker 3 (01:13:33):
He so yeah, well, honestly, he's hitting the ball in
the air. He's look, he's a he's a product of
today's baseball, you know what I mean. He's trying to
get that exit too.

Speaker 5 (01:13:42):
That's a story, a legit storyline where William Mays has
starts trying to hit home runs so he's not as
effective game.

Speaker 3 (01:13:50):
It's it's modern day baseball, dude, it really is. I'm
talking about exit, velocity and ship like, yeah, shut up, dude.

Speaker 5 (01:13:56):
Leg her out Roger Dorn the third Basement has Ben
Diva showing Lewis contracts and he doesn't have to do
unnecessary calisthenics lou literally.

Speaker 3 (01:14:07):
On the contract. Yeah. Uh, By the way, Harris, he's
the best part of this The coach is the best
part of this movie.

Speaker 1 (01:14:15):
He's incredible.

Speaker 5 (01:14:16):
He was like born for that role.

Speaker 3 (01:14:18):
He dude, Honestly, him coming up is like I've been
with the Toledo thirty. I was like, I fucking agree
with whatever he just said.

Speaker 5 (01:14:26):
Eddie Harris would not make it in the majors these
days with all the foreign substance checks. He got fucking
vasoline all over his joke.

Speaker 3 (01:14:33):
I'm gonna tell you this. In the Fount of My Heart,
you both met my father. Does this not remind you
of my father? He this, dude is my dad threw
him through, tall, lanky, skinny guy spitting shit on his
fingers like you think I could fucking get some money
from then? And it's like, holy shit, dude, No man, Uh, we.

Speaker 5 (01:14:50):
Got Joebu, the greatest mascot of all time. He's gonna
help Sorono with the curve ball. He's ripping SIGs? What
a what a fucking mascot? Uh, Eddie Harris go with him.
You try to say, Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball.

Speaker 3 (01:15:05):
Listen. The whole interaction in two of them is listen,
this movie is there's again. You always say there's a
lot of stuff that wouldn't fly these days. This movie's
got elements of that as well. I don't know where
we're at in the actual movie as opposed to I'm
all over.

Speaker 5 (01:15:23):
The Vaughan is like has no control. He hits like
that fake cardboard batter like a thousand times and flows
its head off.

Speaker 3 (01:15:31):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (01:15:32):
He thinks that he got caught cut because the red
card was in his locker but Dorn prankums. Yeah, yep,
this is gonna be relevant later that they hate each other.

Speaker 3 (01:15:44):
Yes, it's gonna listen. Listen, there's a it's a whole
side story that's honestly really my favorite part of the movie.
All the people like looking at the opening day roster, like,
who are these fucking guys? I love those cuts now,
I love those Yeah, honestly, just honestly, I could use
who's the center for Ellois?

Speaker 5 (01:16:04):
And he's not even with them anymore? Luise Robert.

Speaker 3 (01:16:06):
I think we were Louise Robert because I we did
want him and I'd like him. Please. Uh. Vond's in
a leather vest with a tie at dinner. He honestly
great style. Honestly, I may have inadvertently got some of
my style from him. Uh.

Speaker 5 (01:16:24):
This is the start of important storyline. Jake Taylor sees
his old girlfriend.

Speaker 3 (01:16:28):
Oh my god, this is an eighties movie sidetrack and
I hate it, dude.

Speaker 5 (01:16:32):
Oh, I like it out with some other dude. She
plays the game but ends up giving him her number.
She wants him bad.

Speaker 3 (01:16:38):
We all know.

Speaker 5 (01:16:40):
Uh, here we hold on it.

Speaker 3 (01:16:42):
If you remember the story though, it's he goes to
Mexico because it's the only place he can get a
fucking job. And she's like, well, I can't go with you,
and he's like, well, she kind of broke it off
with him, and then she goes and gets engaged real
quick to this other fucking dude never had a shot
trying to replace the.

Speaker 1 (01:16:59):
Times.

Speaker 3 (01:16:59):
Yeah, well, this dude, his knees aren't good anymore, so
we can't do.

Speaker 5 (01:17:02):
That, gotcha, Harry greatest announcer of movie history r P
about car h William Mace Hayes makes a basket catch
for no reason in the first game, and lou Brown goes,
let this catch Haes, don't ever fucking do it again? Serious,

(01:17:22):
and then he gets immediately picked off after getting in field.

Speaker 3 (01:17:24):
Single you start why they suck for a second here, Yeah,
we get.

Speaker 5 (01:17:30):
To when Vaughn comes in just a bit outside.

Speaker 3 (01:17:34):
Such a good one.

Speaker 5 (01:17:36):
Uh Heywood, who is the fucking star for the Yankees.
He wins the Triple Crown, as we learned later in
the year, hit the Grand Slam off Vaughn. And the
best one, maybe underrated, best part of the movie is
when the dude in the crowd he's like, no, it's
too high it's too high, and then it goes out
with guys like too high. What the fuck does that? Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:17:58):
Whether it's real life or a movie, Mike's the Yankees
at the home run.

Speaker 3 (01:18:01):
She just feels right, absolutely not gonna like the end
of this movie. Then yeah, yeah, boy never was more
of an Indians fan until right there.

Speaker 5 (01:18:10):
Jake Taylor finds his exit the library. She brings up
what he cheated on her, and he said one of
the great lines, she met me fifty bucks. She had
a better body than you, and I had to defend
your honor.

Speaker 3 (01:18:21):
Yeah, listen, that's that's that's a classic one.

Speaker 5 (01:18:24):
Does that work?

Speaker 1 (01:18:25):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:18:26):
Oh no? But hey, we're the shot.

Speaker 5 (01:18:29):
The team's playing a little too well, so the owner
makes them fly the death cylinder of an airplane. Uh yeah,
a fucking lightning storm.

Speaker 3 (01:18:38):
And then we haven't really talked so much. The lady
wants to sell teams, so she's like, the more they suck,
the more we can move, YadA, YadA, YadA. So she's like,
and then they start, you know, they find success. They're like, hey,
we should probably make them suck, yeah, by taking away
all their amenities.

Speaker 2 (01:18:54):
What didn't I like is they use the motor for
the hot tub or.

Speaker 5 (01:18:58):
Oh yeah, because that that comes later when she's there's
a really good seat where she's in the locker room
with him.

Speaker 1 (01:19:05):
But uh.

Speaker 5 (01:19:06):
Taylor follows his ex Lynn to what he thought was
her home, but it was actually her new fiance is placed.

Speaker 3 (01:19:12):
Yikes.

Speaker 1 (01:19:14):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (01:19:14):
He gets invited into a dinner party and all the
other ladies there want to bang him. This fiance though
he's a real prick lawyer.

Speaker 3 (01:19:23):
Of course what year? So what what?

Speaker 1 (01:19:29):
What?

Speaker 3 (01:19:29):
What's the word mike for this guy? For the eighties?
He was a yuppie. Oh y, he's a yuppie, a
young urban professional.

Speaker 5 (01:19:39):
He tries the big time Jake Taylor. But Jake Taylor
said his plan was to have two Olympic athlete kids
in the two hundred meter individual medley. And they're like, oh, Lynn,
you were an athlete, right, what event.

Speaker 1 (01:19:49):
Did you do?

Speaker 5 (01:19:50):
She's a two meter individual medley.

Speaker 3 (01:19:52):
Yeah. So he's like, I got your girl, boy, and
then he the.

Speaker 5 (01:19:56):
Lawyer walks Jake Taylor. I was like stay away from her,
and he goes suck my dick.

Speaker 3 (01:20:01):
Yeah, and he's like he's actually like, that's a message
to your wife.

Speaker 5 (01:20:07):
Lou figures out that Vaughan's control issues are because he's
damn near blind.

Speaker 3 (01:20:11):
Dude. This is this is truly one of those underrated
parts of the movie. He's just like, they're just like
your fu neque glasses and like it all makes sense
and he's too poor for fucking good to go to
the doctor. This all makes sense.

Speaker 5 (01:20:25):
Eddie drinks Jobu's shot, which is fucked up. Yeah, you
have a problem with this. You have a problem with
stealing the shot from Jobu.

Speaker 3 (01:20:34):
Listen, I said in the beginning, it's gonna be some ship. No,
it's fine. Uh.

Speaker 5 (01:20:42):
Taylor tells goes to Doran's house because Doran kind of
like didn't try on a ground ball, tells him if
he ever tanks another player is gonna cut his nuts
off and stuff him down his throat.

Speaker 3 (01:20:51):
Listen, that's a man right there, that's a man right there.

Speaker 5 (01:20:55):
That's true. He didn't he didn't embarrass him from of
the team.

Speaker 3 (01:20:58):
No, no, no, Like I said, you want to handle pro,
you walk up to somebody dead to their eyes, look
on the face face, and you say we cool because
they say they say yeah, then they're backing down from it.
You you win that battle, they say no, then you're
gonna handle right then and there.

Speaker 5 (01:21:12):
Owner comes in the locker room and she's just grabbing dongs,
slapping asses left and right.

Speaker 3 (01:21:17):
Yep, Dixie Carr. She's Dixie Carter.

Speaker 5 (01:21:22):
Lou goes off the equipment is while he's butt ass naked.
This is where they fixed the hot to by putting
the motor in there.

Speaker 1 (01:21:32):
It.

Speaker 3 (01:21:33):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (01:21:34):
Lynn secretly shows up to watch a game Jake Taylor.
Jake Taylor sees her in the crowd. He still got it.

Speaker 3 (01:21:40):
Mm hm, he's got cleve linn Rizz follows.

Speaker 5 (01:21:46):
Their home in the bullpen car, which is hilarious, amazing.
She does this whole song and dance, but they can't
beat together, fight.

Speaker 3 (01:21:54):
Hard to get She's like that girl.

Speaker 5 (01:21:56):
And the Dean Martin song they fucking pounded out.

Speaker 3 (01:21:59):
Yeah, right then listen, listen. This is why this is
why well, no, no, because she never wanted to be
that other guy anyway.

Speaker 1 (01:22:07):
Was the stench from the catcher equipment that was on
his uniform.

Speaker 3 (01:22:10):
Hey, she's a she's a she's a baseball rat. What
about those.

Speaker 5 (01:22:16):
Uh they go to the old Yankee Stadium. Look look
at that Marlborough sign in center.

Speaker 3 (01:22:20):
Let me tell you something. Starter jackets Marlborough signs. They're like,
what are we doing here, dude, that's my ship. That
fucking give me some miles. I about the fuck get windbreaker.

Speaker 1 (01:22:31):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (01:22:31):
The GM tells Lou what the owner's plan has been
all this time, and then Lou breaks in through the players.

Speaker 3 (01:22:37):
Hold on Taylor. The greatest line in this movie.

Speaker 5 (01:22:42):
I guess there's only one thing left to do when
the whole fucking.

Speaker 3 (01:22:46):
Thing that's that is my fucking That is like something
you can carry through the whole rest of your life.
It's like ship is like, dude, everything is stacked against us.
That's like, fuck it. It's like John Wick is based
on that moment, right nWay is literally based on fuck it,
let's kill kill everybody, let's fucking do it on like,
there's nothing like I love him his delivery of it,

(01:23:08):
Like you said, he was born for this role, dude,
this line right in this moment, it was like, that's
and honestly, in baseball, it's a long season and ship
like that, so it's got those ebbs and flows, and
this moment the turning point. I love baseball. Baseball is
are such a great sport and this is such a
such a good encapsulation of what that happens. What are

(01:23:28):
they when this happens, They're like five hundred baseball dude.
Through half the damn season. They're like, we gotta turn
it on and boom, Montage ever.

Speaker 5 (01:23:37):
Done in his mount oss in a cardboard cutout of
the owner and it's all these pieces of clothing and
he's like, I think we need to win thirty five games.
Everyone we get gonna take a piece of clothing off.
Highly motivational.

Speaker 3 (01:23:51):
YO, Can I tell you something? As a kid, I
saw that we had a VHS to this movie right
when the first first no, the first time we put on,
I was like looking around, like, oh shit, I think
I got one. BYO, I think I got one biome
so like the anticipation that I think is one of
the reason why I love this movie. Ultimately, I know

(01:24:13):
even that I was gonna say even then, at that point,
I'm looking at Sears, uh Bro catalogs and.

Speaker 5 (01:24:21):
Uh the fake American Express commercial legendary. Uh Indians tie
the Yankees for the division lead, We're going to a
one game playoffs.

Speaker 3 (01:24:31):
Yeah, fucking Yanks choked it away, dude. One of the
biggest collapses in history. That's the year they you know,
if that's the year they did the aluminum bats.

Speaker 5 (01:24:40):
I still can't believe you thought that was real. Uh
Dorn's wife was watching the news and saw Dorn with
another woman in the background. In retaliation, she seduces and
bangs Rick Vaughan to get back at him.

Speaker 3 (01:24:56):
Can I tell you something to buy my heart? That
was him, that lady of all the ladies. I was
like that one, that that was a good D's.

Speaker 5 (01:25:08):
Wife until after the fact he's like, I know, like this,
hold up. Uh Dorn having the game of his life
after learning that his web cheeated on him. Though dive
In plays clutch base hits, so Ronto had the two
run jack to tie it in the seventh Uh. Although
I'm pretty sure it's illegal to carry your bat around

(01:25:30):
the bases.

Speaker 3 (01:25:31):
I listen, listen, I will forgive some of the issues. Dude,
I'm suspending this belief.

Speaker 5 (01:25:37):
I'm wrestling f uh Von comes in bases loaded two outs.
In the ninth tie game, we got wild thing playing.
Compare the aura of this entrance to the nun possessed
by Mox when.

Speaker 3 (01:25:50):
He had come on, come on, dude, that's crazy. That
was such a bad fit for honestly, eventually it became.

Speaker 1 (01:25:57):
Was always playing with me, but doing it not funny, No, yes, stupid.

Speaker 5 (01:26:01):
Very Dorn confronts Vaughn on the mound.

Speaker 3 (01:26:04):
Oh no, hold on, man, hold on the build up,
like the stare down, the like pacing in the infield
and ship this is the whole. That tension is very good.
I love that.

Speaker 5 (01:26:15):
And Dorn he says, strike this motherfucker out.

Speaker 3 (01:26:19):
You know what. Three fastballs, baby, ye, two outs like
real quick, real quick. The guy, hold on, hold on,
hold on the guy who? The guy who, the the
Yankees guy. What did you call his name was like Clefts,
Clue Haywood? Yeah, yeah right, he's so he and Vukovich

(01:26:43):
he's a he was a real baseball player. I had
no idea.

Speaker 5 (01:26:46):
Oh that guy was an actual ball player.

Speaker 3 (01:26:48):
Yeah, he was a ball player. And and from honestly,
my our third base coach was John Vukovic. So it's
like his brother or something. I don't know, Okay, yeah,
little fact.

Speaker 5 (01:26:56):
Uh. Two outs in the bottom of nine, Williams Hayes
steal second Jake Taylor's at the point they run the
classic suicide squeeze with the.

Speaker 3 (01:27:06):
Man the second among can I tell you something as
a as an old baseball small ball guy, this ship
is insane, especially considering the dude can't leg it out.

Speaker 5 (01:27:19):
Like if that didn't work. Yeah, seriously, Jake Taylor, your
catcher has no knees.

Speaker 3 (01:27:24):
Yeah, like have been fired on the on the spot
due no he like it's the stands from fucking South Park.
When he's got mister Garrison's balls his knees, they just explode.
That's why. Seriously, Like, hold on a minute, again suspending

(01:27:45):
this belief. But if this is the Phillies and we're
against like fucking Nemets and ship and this this motherfucker's
laying down on the suicide squeeze with the guy on second,
I'm out, dude, I'm out. Okay, how fancy guy.

Speaker 5 (01:27:56):
Is against all odds. Taylor legs it out on his
fucked up knees, and Hay scores from second and the
Indians win.

Speaker 6 (01:28:04):
Baby, real quick, I'm trying to find my note because
I know I said about this legged it out with
bad knees.

Speaker 3 (01:28:13):
Well that's ballsy.

Speaker 5 (01:28:18):
In the celebration, Dorn hugs Hn, punches them out, pikes
them back up, and hugs them again.

Speaker 3 (01:28:26):
Ye and then we get the even happier ending, if
you know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (01:28:33):
Wayne is in the crowd showing Jake Taylor look in
my hand, I got no ring that coy and heroes
and everyone lives happy, happily, and then they get fucking
swept in the first round.

Speaker 3 (01:28:48):
That's wild that's the part we didn't see. And they
moved to Miami anyway back then.

Speaker 5 (01:28:55):
They didn't have wild cards yet, so it was they
were automatically in the alc.

Speaker 3 (01:28:59):
That's what I mean. That's that's that means pretty good.
Then I swept, So I'm gonna say that truly. One
of the reasons what makes this so good, this movie
is so good is the natural suspense of baseball. You
hang on every pitch right, so like it truly does

(01:29:20):
make movies better. I love baseball movies in particular, and
this movie is excellent. Ten on of ten. Always recommend
always watch it when it's on TV, Like, if you're
passing through it, you're just like, what part is it on?
Like I love his part.

Speaker 5 (01:29:34):
Probably a perfect movie. I can't think of something they
could have done that would have made it better.

Speaker 3 (01:29:38):
Yeah, full nudity, Okay, you got me. It were easy
easy uh tailor No, No, I just want the lady
and peel the things off of. I wanted a better playoff.
Tell you how did George Bagas watch this classic movie?

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars?
