Very often a passage of the Bible will have three layers of meaning: the primary meaning to the people in the account described, the primary meaning to the original readers, and the primary meaning in light of the Gospel. In this episode, Pastor Nathan gives an example of this three-layered meaning using Genesis 22 as an example.
