Zombie apocalypse or alien invasion?

What a crazy world we're living in.

We began the show this morning remembering 9/11 on the 24th anniversary of that tragic event. And continued with the disturbing news regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk and the latest information about what happened on the Utah Valley University campus yesterday.

In sports, the Brewers got swept by the Rangers yesterday, the Packers & Commanders open up Week 2 of the NFL season tonight, Lamar Jackson made some comments about his interaction with a fan in Buffalo on Sunday night, Anthony Rizzo announces his retirement, and Brock Purdy will be out for the 49ers this weekend.

Elsewhere in sports, several Fresno State basketball players have been banned after getting caught betting on games, four people were arrested for the attempted murder of a Florida State football player, and allegations of misconduct in the Detroit Tigers organization.

We talked about what's on TV today/tonight, and Office Cora once again joined us to talk about what she's up to in the 715 this weekend.

On the lighter side of things, a nice story about some construction workers in Iowa who reacted quickly & used a trampoline to rescue a boy trapped in a house fire.

Today is also "Hypothetical Thursday" and Jean went first with her question for Brian, "Which apocalypse scenario would you choose…Alien invasion or zombies?"

Brian's question for Jean was: "What would you do if you're the dad in the 'Phillies Karen' situation?"

It's not only "Hypothetical Thursday", but it's also National Make Your Bed Day…and we talked about some of the benefits of making your bed every morning after you wake up and get going.

And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a guy who racked up a big gambling debt on a cruise ship & tried to jump off the boat to avoid paying it, an interesting video of a public bathroom in China that makes you watch an ad before getting some TP, a couple that filed for divorce because they couldn't agree on a name for their child, a guy who hired a mariachi band to play in his house while his cheating husband moved out, and a new procedure for men that's gaining in popularity.
