tags Jack Antonoff. Now it's important because Jack Antonoff is
the producer on most of her albums. He's, you know,

out about that. That was a That would be the

He was like cooler than you would think. So we
had a great time.

many reasons. Yes, And I was like, oh my god,
he gets it.

He was so fun to hang out with, and he
was never a pushy at all, and it was totally fine.
So but he was in an interview recently or a
podcast or something, and somebody asked him about that time
that he threw that phone at a hotel employee.

He got arrested for that. Oh and here was his answer.

But he said, quote, look man, this is his quote

it's either your PR or you just have problems. But
on the same day that Taylor dropped the cover art

and I'm not just trying to be a twelve year old.
It's really a thing that she talks about a lot.
She likes that number. It's like her birthday or something. Okay,

it is her birthday, December thirteen. So she writes track
thirteen on that same day of Taylor's announcement and then
tags Jack Antonoff. Now it's important because Jack Antonoff is
the producer on most of her albums. He's, you know,
the one who used to date Lena Dunham. He produces
a bunch of everybody.

All all the songs you love, he wrote them, probably
in produce or he at least produced them.

Okay, So he's not going to be on this next
which is totally fine. It doesn't mean they're fighting or anything.

trying something different. But usually it's weird, Like.

very brief time that I was hanging out with him

he I remember at the time he'd been working very closely.
Like we'd go on a couple we went on some
dates and he'd be you'd be like, I'm running a
little late, Fiona, you know, and that would just be
it the coolest thing that I'm like, got it, don't worry, I'll.

Just get us a booth. I'll just wait for you.

And he'd show up and he's like, no, it's all
going very well, you know. But she's just definitely a perfectionist,
which she would admit. Well, turns out she did this
whole album with him and she didn't like it, so
she fired him and got somebody else. And there's two
versions of that all they both got leaked. I don't
remember the For some reason, the name of that album.
But was that both X like recently no, no, god,
whenever we were hanging out, so probably like twenty years ago.

Oh, because I was going to say, there's that album
that came out that you and I talked about on
board AF and that you liked, and I listened to
it and was like, this is oh I hate that.
I know.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
No, you liked it and I hated it, right, No, yes, no,
I loved it.

You loved it at first, and then I was like
what then I went back slinging dishes together. Then you
went back and you were like, oh my god, you
were so late.

A couple years later I went back and I gave
you a formal apology. You're right.

I was like, I think I got like good Winged
or whatever by COVID and by a Rolling Stone saying
it was the best so music that's ever happened.

So I guess my point was it would have been
interesting if it was like that album.

It was not that it was a good album, it
was it was a really good when I think it
was her third album, and they ended up John's version
got leaked and the other version went out and they
were both really good. I preferred John's version. I don't
remember exactly why.

I think it had a little more oomph to it,
and I think she wanted it a little more stripped down.
But I really actually don't remember which was which point
being is that happens and it didn't cause a problem
between them. It's just sort of like artists sometimes changing
their mind or okay, So in this case, that's what
I think happened with Taylor. She's worked a lot with
Jack and she wants to have her own, you know,

vibe or change it up. Totally normal. But also don't
forget that she used one of Okay, so in Lena Dunham,
who is Jack Antonoff's very long term ex girlfriend, in
her new show Too Much, she uses a Taylor song.
So Taylor gave permission to use it in that, and
so then people are like, hmm, is there a problem

because if she's like, she's still friends with Lena, which
I think is great and she could put a good
song in there, but why is Lana Delray popping herself
in here and going hmmm, tagging Jack Antonoff?

thought it was very And does Lena Dunham not get
along with Taylor Swift. No, Lena Dunham does get along
with Taylor Swift, but Lina Dunham.

think that they've worked together. I think they're fine. But
Lena and Jeff may be fine now. But the whole show,
if you haven't watched too much, is about her getting
over Jack Antonoff, she doesn't play herself, and then finding
a new love in London where she ends up marrying

that guy. And that's all a true story and that
is what that shows about. So that's a lot of
layers there.

like you get she gets to write the story. Jack
is not good in the story at all. Lena also

completely makes fun of herself and her issues and all
that stuff. But like Jack just seems like a total
dick in her version of her.

Last week, the Internet was up in arms with the
debut of the trailer for season two of Megan Markles

of people asking me how I feel about Megan Markle
