I recut the review I did for Iron Man's theatrical release, as I figured there is plenty of interest in it, again, due to its release on DVD and Blu-Ray. Clipped out the bits about returning after a long absence and having a new vlog feature that I quickly forgot all about.

My first honest-to-goodness press screening just had to be for a chick flick, eh? Well...funny thing about that: this movie wasn't actually a pain for me to watch. Any of you out there that sometimes get dragged to these things, watch and listen...

After coughing around my house for over a week instead of putting the review to video, I finally got it done. PINEAPPLE EXPRESS is a great stoner action flick that, until August 13th, was the best comedy of the summer. Watch and hear a bit about what made it so good...

Pineapple Express managed to be the comedy of the season...for all of a week. Tropic Thunder hit theaters and, by my estimations, established that it has no competitors. Find out why this might be the best comedy of the last few years...

I focus more on discussing the performances of the cast than the quality of the movie itself, as that's largely been done to death. There are, however, a few exceptions where I do comment on some of the nagging bits. Part 2 of 2. Please forgive the rough edit in a spot; unexpected noise that I didn't feel like re-recording the whole thing for.

Look, anyone who is a subscriber to my vlogs has probably already decided to go see this flick. A review is useless, in that case. All it could possibly do is accidentally spoil things or just join a chorus of praise for the movie. Instead, I give you a caution inside this vlog: lower your expectations as much as you can, so they can be exceeded instead of simply met. You'll be much happier with the experience.

Better late than never. I got to see both of these movies at sneak previews before they came out, but I'm just getting around to vlogging it now. Well, at least it will be around for when it hits DVD.

Saw the movie Tuesday night, got around to doing a rambling review of it this afternoon, slapped together the editing late tonight and finally gave up sparing bandwidth to transfer a large video file to my PS3 long enough to upload this. HELLBOY 2: THE GOLDEN ARMY is worth the price of admission.

Yeah, this is extremely late to the party, but I'm still posting my Incredible Hulk review so it is up there for posterity sake. ;)

It's not often that a truly beautiful film comes along. WALL-E is just such a movie. Watch me fawn all over it in the review. (opening and closing music: Real Love as performed by Regina Spektor)

In this two part vlog, I take a look at DC's failures with the Martian Manhunter character and the faulty concept that the character's poor sales history is because he's just not marketable rather than editorial's failure to capitalize on the market.

I'm dissecting Final Crisis from two different angles: as a work of art and as a summer event. It makes a difference, as you'll see here.

I'm reviewing the first issue of Final Crisis from two different angles. The first, seen here, is taking it on its own as a work of art. I'm stripping it of the expectations put upon it by the DC Comics hype machine, the fact that it is an event or the idea that we had an event (and off-shoots) counting down to it for a year.

Yeah, it's been awhile and this movie has been out a week or two now. But I'm ready to get back in business and this is the first flick out of the box. Catching up on the rest of the summer flicks I've missed tomorrow, in addition to reviewing JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH and HELLBOY 2 before the weekend hits.

Before hitting the road to NYCC, my friend Aaron asked me to pass personal messages from him to Grant Morrison and Jenna Jameson. While I wasn't able to get the message to Jenna, I did deliver his message to Grant. It was a little more impersonal than he may have desired...

A franchise is dusted off and brought back out for new audiences...but not updated. The same formula used in the 1980s is employed here. You can guess whether I'd consider that to be a good thing.

A David Mamet movie. You know it is dense as all hell, but it is more than worth it. The casting is amazing...especially the star, Chiwetel Ejiofor, who I don't even attempt to say the name of in this review. I, also, don't bother trying to give too many details about the movie, because that way lies madness. You can't start giving out details about a Mamet story without getting lost in the process.
