Sermon Outline

In the story from Mark 9:14-29, a desperate father prays a prayer with which we all can identify; "I believe,help my unbelief", All who believe battle unbelief, it is a battle we must fight, and, in this place of personal vulnerability, when we cry for help, Jesus answers.

  2. Have you ever prayed a prayer like the prayer this father prayed?
  3. What are the places in your life that you are most vulnerable to doubt?
  4. What are the ways that you know and trust that God is sure of you?
  5. What is your conversation and prayer with Jesus like in your places of need?
  6. How do you respond to the Lord's discipline in your life?
