That's interesting. I didn't realize it was a
hard cover. This is book 2 of 2.
So what's the other 1. Let's find that

gonna move on to spirit borne stuff. There's
a thing on the blizzard press center right
now that has different things in here from
Dia 4. A lot of it is spirit

whatever you wanna call it it's spirit born
class trailer, they're calling it for vessel of
hatred, which is coming up soon. Have I

there eventually. There's also

screenshots in here of the cent skills, the

some other art in here that is a
look looks a little grayscale in some cases,

of us will know exactly what they do

It starts with, and I'm not gonna play

Some of the kids are, like, falling over
and some of them are surviving. And then
it shows you do,
number of, like, the gorilla and the jaguar
and cent and Missing 1 of those, but
it has that. And there's, like, this little
kid that's trying desperately to not die as
his friends did or his... I don't even
if they were friends or if they were

sort of chosen, but the a lot of
them just fell the heck over,
and you have this... This very small boy
who has no hair and has some, like,
patterns on his body in, like, white paint.
And it just goes from there, and then
it shows you some stuff with the spirit

Garmin off, and it says Blizzard Gear stored
new Dia 4 spirit born merchandise now available.

when it was like, a new, you know,
a new thing going on in their games.
So I'm gonna read you some of this
stuff here. It says with the recent spirit
born reveal livestream stream. Blizzard has launched a

bit like I'm not even sure. It's got,
like, a thing with fangs here and different
stuff. I think it's got some of the
spirit borne,
stuff in it for that. There's also vessel
of hatred glow in the dark black t

shirt for dirty dollars. These are all 30
dollars so far, and it's got the spirit
born with a bunch of rooms around it
and some things on this person's head, and
it says Dia 4 vessel of hatred. There's
a bright red Lil t shirt for 35
dollars. It's got
the image of Lil that you would see
if you had 1 of those little statues
if you've just seen her in game, and

then there's, like, Golden.
I don't know. It's not really writing, but,
like, a decoration around her.
So that's neat. And then at the top,
it says Lilith and kind of,
it's not spread out, like you would see
it if you were reading it in text,
but it's got her name with all the
letters kind of jumbled together a little bit.
There's a T shirt, which I probably wanna
get.

That one's also 35 dollars. It is black.
It has the head of Mo as a
wolf on there with, you know, portions of
his face missing and
little rooms and things like that on top
of the part that has fallen away. And
that's what
that's what we have here from Wow head
about those. In addition to that. It looks

like Wow head has done a little bit
of
explanation on
several of the
skills that you can use with different parts
of the spirit borne stuff. So this 1,
I just picked 1 is called Barricades spirit
born trash or build is ready for a
vessel of hatred. This is written by J

today. I it looks like. So this is
about the jaguar skills. So I'm just gonna
read it that 1. You could find the
rest probably, you know, if you just go
through Twitter and you'll look up that stuff.
It'll be easy enough. Okay. This spirit born
class has officially been revealed and, of course,
that means builds are being theory crafted
exclamation point. Hot off the press is 1

of the first ready to roll builds for
the spirit borne by none other than Dia
4 content creator barricade
who has created a jaguar base build based
off basic skills and movement abilities designed to
cruise through the game and dissolve single targets.
Utilize the jaguar spirit hall class mechanic to

turn all skills into jaguar skills. Barricade mixes
in eagle and cent move in his rotation
while focusing on movement, enhancing and basic skill
buff passive, capping the build off with the
adaptive stance key passive, and there's a a
little box here that says adaptive stance, the
base spirit of a skill
cast grants, the Eagle 30 percent plus movement

(12:15):
speed, the gorilla 30 percent damage reduction. The
jaguar 30 percent attack speed, and the cent
30 percent life steel, casting a skill of
a different base spirit swaps to the new
bonus,
increases all damage by 30 percent with an
x in the in a parenthesis there, for
5 seconds. So that's what that is. There

(12:36):
is a little video in here, I'm not
gonna play because again, that might be copyright,
you know, kind of stuff. So
it's like an orange background with the spirit
class there and a giant ag maguire behind
him, and it's pretty neat. So that's kinda
cool. There's also from,
wow head, there's is like the spirit born
with a green jaguar head and spots on

them and all that kind of stuff with
the the giants
weapon that they're using and off to the
side it's got different things, Like, there's a
harmony thing. That's the helm.
There's aspect of might, which is
let's see. Unlocked by completing a darker in
dry steps or sal a legendary item.
There's

(13:17):
gauntlet pain go gauntlet
there's
aspect of con concur strikes. There's a dual
list aspect. There's an aspect of adaptability when
cast below 50 percent maximum resource, basic skills
generate 3 of your primary resource once per
cast, when cast at above 50 percent maximum
resource basic skills deal 30 to a hundred

(13:38):
and 20 percent increase damage. There's also a
ring that goes with that. There's aspect of
Moon rise, damaging an enemy with a basic
skill grants you 4 percent attack speed for
10 seconds, stacking up to 5 times upon
reaching a maximum statue you enter a van
pure blood rage
with this 1 aspect of the moon rise,
gaining 40 to 80 percent basic skill damage

(13:59):
and 15 percent movement speed for 10 seconds.
And then there's the aspect of combined strikes.
It looks like an axe.
Each different basic skill you cast increases all
of your damage by 15 percent for 10
seconds. And then there's an off hand, looks
like a dagger or some kind. Maybe the
thing that's actually in the hand of this
spirit borne image in between all of these

things I've been just talking to you about.
I cannot pronounce the name of this, it
is the unique quarter staff, so that's actually
right. And there's a little spirit borne
flavor in here and it says to the
silent Heavens
the hunter ed z, if that's right? Raised
his staff and sm the newman,

of this So there's a lot of stuff,
and there's more of it if you wanna
look at the Wow head article. I always
put things in
you know, in the show notes so you
can go and check out whatever ones you
like. Over on Dia mo, we have,
from July 17, which isn't that long ago,

really? And it is talking about this really
strange thing that I kinda find interesting.
It's it says this sinister forces from 2
to universes have collided. Strike down these emerging
dangers and earn the exclusive frost born cosmo
met cosmetics in our collab lab event with
world of warcraft from now until July 26.

So frost board is, I think that's a
giant sword. Isn't it? I haven't played wow
in a very long time, but I'm pretty
sure that's what that is. There's an image
here. On x dot com that has, like,
a bunch of, like, blizzard looking
winter kind of things going on. So that's
kind of interesting there. So it's got a
little logo here. It says Dia mo, and

then there's a little tiny x in between
and then says world of warcraft, and so
it's shadow of the frozen thrown, you can
play it now and through July 26, which
I think might be fun to do for
a while. I sometimes play Dia mortal. Sometimes
I forget about it. Over on pure,

special live stream the Xbox studios on July

class. That was all really wonderful, but you

down with my friend Jennifer Young, Aka Jed
of Hatred. Windows central to have a candid

for Dia 4. The next part is literally

was hot and new, that's probably where that
phrase came from for this.

In conjunction with the reveal of the spirit
borne class. I thought your questions for them

(17:55):
were very insightful. They really hit the mark
on what the Dia
Wants to know about the new class. At
the same time, we don't necessarily expect the
devs to be truly representative of casual dia
players, so I thought would very interesting to
have you share a bit more of your
own personal perspective on what's coming up for
Dia 4, given that the expansion will add
just 1 more region to the 5 that
our exist in the game. It stands to

(18:15):
reason that the success of vessel of hatred
will rely heavily on player experience with new
spirit the new spirit born class. It's been
a long a very long time since the
Dia game series has seen the introduction of
a brand new class. I believe the last
time that happened was with a monk and
which doctor classes that were included in the
release of Dia in 20 12.

(18:36):
Considering the magnitude of this milestone, especially as
part of the very first expansion for Dia
4, it seems to me that the devs
would want to incorporate as much beta testing
as possible. Prior to release on October eighth.
Nevertheless, they've already cited that they want the
bulk of vessel of hatred content to remain
a secret. So the new expansion will be
released without its own Pcr. Do you have
faith in Devs dis decision, or are you

(18:58):
concerned about the new class having a bumpy
start once gamers like Rob 2628 get their
hands on it. I think you all know
who that is. Right?
So I'm just gonna read you a little
bit from, Jen of Hatred here. She says,
oh, I fully expect it to be a
bumpy start. This is Dia We're talking as
much as they can test and test internally.
It simply can't match the investigative power of

(19:18):
millions of people getting their hands on a
new feature and playing it. Let alone the
power builders. I don't think it's the again
of the world, though, if something has to
be fixed and tweaked post launch. I've actually
just come out of playing el and ring
shadow of the e tree, and were many
broken powers or weapons that had to be
fixed with patches. For example, the perfume bottles
were absolutely n large enemies. I realized that

El ring are more likely to laugh off
something like that compared to Dia fans with
Dia 4. I also know we are talking
about 2 very different sized development teams. Still,
I brought up El Ring Dlc specifically here
because if that had been play tested in
the public prior, it would have ruined a
lot of the discovery aspect and boss fights.
I think preserving that eyes is important. I'm

staunch in favor of the Pt for pretty
much any seasonal update. But I think keeping
expansion content under wraps is fair and will
be overall more enjoyable for us as players.

the spirit bar, Blizzard showed the new maximum

points players will have access to in the
upcoming expansion. The inside the game, the spirit
borne video drives into the new class coming
in
dives into. Sorry. The new class coming in
the vessel of hatred. It features gameplay, artwork
commentary from the devs, but more interesting it
also let's slip a key piece of information,
and there is a video here about that.

That looks like I must have looked at
it a little bit because it's more than
halfway way through, but I was just, you
know, trying to find things. As you can
see, the spirit board character showcases
has 69 available skill points. That's 11 more
than the current 58 of available in the
game at the moment. Obviously, it's not only
the spirit board that get these extra skill
points, so all classes can look forward to

(21:22):
more skill options,
exclamation point, and considering this addition is pretty
likely the other classes will be getting new
additions to the skill tree as well. Definitely
some passive, but perhaps a few new active
skills as well will have to wait for
more to be revealed about the expansion to
find out. It's also embedded in here the...

point. There's a lot of escalation points going
through this 1. Formally known as gears viking.
This is my personal account and represents my
only only my opinion slash thoughts. There is
a lovely picture here of the spirit born
and trying to go after
creepy looking things.
And he says this, I'm still kind of
buzzing from the spirit board reveal yesterday. I'm
very proud of what the team accomplished with

the deep dive developer stream, and I'm still
reading and watching all the coverage from the
folks that visited Blizzard to go hands on
thanks to everyone involved. That's really nice. You
know, That's just really nice. And the last
thing I have here is, new mercenary details
revealed from Diy before, vessel of hatred, and
there's a screenshot here of 4 different mercenaries

you could
hang out with a suppose. 1 of them
is a very giant man with a huge
shield in front of him with ruins, of
course, we can't read.
He looks pretty
strong. I guess, there's
a woman
who is wearing white paint with, lot of
tattoos over that paint or under that paint.

(23:09):
And she's carrying an axe and looks very
fierce. She looks like she might be an
older woman. There's a guy that is wearing
green,
clothing and some brown leather clothing, carrying a
bow.
He's got a beard and some,
looks like Arrow... The backs of arrows, like,
the the part at the back that you've,
you know, that part, there, and he's looking

(23:30):
out. Dates people are almost always looking out
at the... I've seen this image before. At
whoever's, you know, watching this, and then there's
a
small hair character, gender ind has horns on
its head and has ears that look similar
to a goat is holding fire in 1
hand wearing a red tu with some kind
of necklace that I can't understand. And has

(23:52):
definitely has furry legs and feet and a
tail. So these are the mercenaries that you
can probably work with. This is written by
Da on Wow head. So recent gameplay footage
of the new spirit born class coming with
vessel of Hatred has also revealed some interesting
details about the upcoming mercenary system, which will
return with the upcoming Dia
expansion. Mercenaries in dia have a long standing

(24:15):
tradition beginning with Dia two's inception of the
concept, while changes were remained in Dia 3
to modernize the system, many players disliked the
relative simplicity Dia three's mercenaries
compared to Dia,
and Blizzard may have taken that to heart
with this
implementation in dia form. There's a vin go
here with Rob 2628
who shared the mercenary currency

information with within this article with wow heads,
so that's been shared. You could find his
video on the spirit born below. There is
1 embedded in this particular article. To continue
here is what we currently know and don't
know about the mercenary system based on Rob's
gameplay play footage. So here's some stuff. In
the currency tab, a new currency called pale
marks can be found, showcasing the usual placeholder

(24:59):
icon. This currency seems to be used to
interact with the mercenary system. The first tool
tip mentions that pale marks are used to
purchase trade agreements. We assume that these are
some sort of character bound items used to
buy mercenary equipment. The tool tip also mentions
that pale marks could be used to barter
for items, which could mean that there would
be multiple ways to acquire mercenary equipment by

(25:20):
either buying from or barter with merchants, for
example, There will be a mercenary den which
sounds like a dedicated Npc instance, where trade
agreements will be purchase and barter with pale
marks will be possible. It looks like Pale
marks will be earned by completing activities together
with a mercenary or by increasing your report.
Receiving Pale marks will only be possible once
you've unlocked barter which will happen after reaching

(25:42):
rank 5 report. It's a ra a ppo
o team. So report appears like some sort
of personal reputation or loyal system based on
the relationship and activities completed with your active
mercenary. Much like other reputation systems in dia,
increasing reports with your mercenary could reward you
not only with pale marks, but also the

(26:02):
mercenary equipment and other useful items for hugh
and your mercenary.
Compared to Dia and Dia 3, the system
of Dia appears to be quite complex, especially
when it comes to acquiring mercenary equipment. What
are your first impressions of the mercenary system?
