I Sverige används årligen runt 10 miljoner kubikmeter drivmedel som tillsammans står för knappt 40% av svenska växthusgasutsläpp. I poddens 105:e avsnitt har det blivit dags att dyka ner i omställningen av drivmedelssektorn ur perspektivet från Sveriges största drivmedelsproducent Preem.
Gäst är Peter Abrahamsson, tidigare chef på Preems två raffinaderier i Lysekil och Göteborg och numera hållbarhetschef och ansvarig för att driva omställningen av företaget. (Raffinaderierna i Lysekil och Göteborg är två av tre svenska raffinaderier, det tredje ligger också i Göteborg och ägs av St1.) I avsnittet pratar vi om Preems roll i svensk drivmedelsproduktion, om raffinaderiernas historik och om de produkter, fossila såväl som förnybara, som har producerats över tid.
Men framförallt pratar vi om framtiden. Peter berättar om de investeringar som ska möjliggöra Preems omställningsplaner, han resonerar om resursbegränsningar för olika typer av bioråvaror, och liksom många tidigare poddgäster slår han ett slag för behovet av en snabb utbyggnad av svensk elproduktion.
Vi får även höra Peters perspektiv på hur lagstiftning såsom den svenska reduktionsplikten och EU:s Fit for 55-paket påverkar omställningen av svensk drivmedelsproduktion.
