I danska tidningar har hon kallats ”Danmarks mest kända feminist”, men Emma Holten har blivit en röst att räkna med även långt utanför hemlandets gränser.
Först för tio år sedan, när hon trädde fram offentligt som offer för det som kallas hämndporr, efter att nakenbilder på henne publicerades på internet utan samtycke. Hennes berättelse om sina egna och andras erfarenheter fick stor internationell uppmärksamhet.
Men 2017 drog hon sig undan offentligheten. Trött på vad hon då beskrev som ”The Emma Holten Show”.

Nu har hon tagit klivet tillbaka till offentligheten på helt egna villkor.
Med debutboken Underskott – omsorgens ekonomiska värde har hon först tagit Danmark med storm, med tiotusentals sålda böcker och flera priser, och nu åker hon Europa runt i översättningarnas spår.
Boken är en feministisk kritik av dagens politiska och ekonomiska system, där hon menar att omsorg i vårt samhälle inte tillskrivs det ekonomiska värde det borde.

The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways.
