Alec Berg (Barry, Silicon Valley, Seinfeld)

BARRY co-creator and executive producer Alec Berg explains the Metallica poster on Barry Birkman's wall, the Metallica and Pantera songs in the show, and details his first experience hearing Metallica. Berg spent a good chunk of his formative years in Pasadena, where he used to see Van Halen around town, and caught early shows from Armored Saint and W.A.S.P., among others. His formidable comedy credits as writer, producer, director, and showrunner include several episodes of Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Silicon Valley. We talk about the writing process, the metal connections in some of his work, and where he and Bill Hader are at heading into the production of Barry Season 4.
