John Russel is a storied composure who has suffered an unthinkable tragedy. The sudden death of his wife and daughter. Now, he attempts to pick up the pieces of his shattered life. He takes up residence in a historic and secluded old house in Seattle. While he's there he hopes to get back to his passion of composing music. But, he isn't alone. Noises and strange happenings occur. They lead him to realize he shares the residence with an occupant who died over 70 years ago.
