some stuff happened. Um just asusual. So what's up Marty?
Nothing? You know, it goesnothing, nothing as usual. What is
this week like eight or nine nowof Lockdown? Ah? God, it's

been two months something like that.Yeah. See it's May May nine,
started like the March thirteenth, foursomewhere around there. Yeah yeah, yeah,
so wold wow, it's been liketwo months and um, our state
is starting to ease regulations. Weare in Cleveland, Ohio, so that

means we were in Ohio. Um, outdoor dining is back on May fifteenth,
and uh, indoor dining is backon May twenty first. So we'll
let the guinea pigs do what theydo. And I'm gonna you know how

what happened on an XT, whichI thought was a pretty good show.
Um. There were a number ofcruiserweight matches, there were some big time

title matches that were um that weregotta can't think advertised, and um,
I thought both of them were prettygood. That both of them were pretty
good. Uh, the segments weresolid. One particular debut that blew me
away. And I'm sure Marty knowswho that's it, who that is,

um, but let's let's kick itoff by talking about that first match there.
Um, Johnny Gargano debuting his newmusic, Rebel Heart is Dead.
He's even put that out on thisTwitter um, and he faced against Dominic
Dikovic, and I thought this wasa solid way to kick off the the

show. UM, solid back andforth action. Di which really good at
his physicality is really good. Theproblem I have with Dajakovic is that I'm
starting to see is that he justI don't know if he's going to be
a draw by trying to be youknow, somebody you know. I don't

know what his character is. Iguess it's a snarky character. It's uh,
he's he's too he's too goody twoshoes. Um, but his his
moveset says otherwise. I think heneeds a mouthpiece. That's where I'm at
on Dominic, what about you?Uh? I mean I think all like,

performance wise, he's great. We'veseen him put yeah, Um,
I don't think he needs a mouthpiece. I think he's capable of talking.
They just need to let him.He just needs to stop being pigeonholed into
the undercard. We'll not even pigeonholdingan undercard. But like I'm talking talking
points wise, not be pigeonholed intoshoehorning. Feast your eyes into sentences and

my family that exactly that get awayfrom those two things and I feel like
he's capable of being a good talker. It's just that he's like he's got
a bullet point list where he's like, all right, I need to say
feast your eyes, I need totalk about my family, all right,
let's do this, and like that'swhere he goes every single time he talks.

If that wasn't the case, Ithink he'd be a capable talker.
Like he doesn't stumble over his words. I don't buy what he's saying,
Like, I don't not buy whathe's saying. It's just the fact that
it's constantly the same note over andover and over again. Now, I
for him, I think it's likehe is able to do all the things

that a superstar can. It's justI don't know, it's just not connecting
with me. But I don't wantto give up on him because obviously it's
so early in his career. Soit's like, you know, I mean,
I haven't given up on him atall. I still think of him
as a contender. Yeah, no, I would say so. And he's

able to move so well throughout thering too, So that's what's so nice
about what David can do. No, I was just reading it today.
The reason why I feel like you'rethinking so little of him is because he
hasn't want to match ins February.Oh my god, seriously, Yeah,
that's crazy February. All right.Let's talk about the other side of the

spectrum though, Johnny, what didyou think about the new theme? What
did you think about the new presentationof a heel character? And his finisher
is now the slingshot DDT. Allright, So for someone who's so high
on Johnny, normally this is goingto seem out of character. But I
thought it was a pretty big missbig man. Yeah, the music sucks,

obviously, you can't top Rebel Heartright to it. But when you
have Johnny becoming a new heel thatyou want people to buy into, and
you give him this music that soundslike it's out of iTunes rock or garage
band, and then you bring incross with the music that he has,

it's like, did they fucking try? And I saw a lot of a
lot of the comments were basically like, you're now generic heel number one hundred
seven or something exactly. And allthey did was take the color out of
his trunks and put a vest onhim. That's all they did. Yea,

he wears white and black now,which was something that Finn already did
when he went heel, he startedwearing white and black. But at least
he has a personality. And yeah, then you decided to make his finish
a move that he's used over andover and over and over again in matches

for the past five years. Thatdoesn't end matches, Okay, you kind
of come up with something different,is what you're saying exactly. That would
be like deciding to out of absolutelynowhere make John Cena's finishing move, the
five knuckle shuffle. It's a goodit's a good analogy, kind of a

signature move turned into a finisher.Yeah, sort of sort of deal,
like I'm fine with it if ityou know, like cool, if that
if it just got him to winthis week, that's cool, and if
it's they were just like trying,if they're still like grasping at straws trying
to figure out what to make afinisher, because it's hard to make a
heel have a submission finisher when it'snot like a brutalizing finisher, like a

brutalizing submission like Crosses is or likeU God what's his name, Dexter lumis
like his. It's hard to havethem have that submission move as a finish,
especially since it's been his submission finishfor you know, five plus two
years of the n XT as aface. So it's like it you need

to switch it a little bit,but you know, just making it a
move that was already in his repertoiredoesn't really work or make him look anymore
dastardly exactly. And it's just afucking DDT, that's all it is.
Like at least when you got tosell it really nicely too, at least
when Champa started doing his DT whenhe was a heel, it was like
a draping DDT like Orton where it'slike a spike DDT. Yeah, or

like you know Andred's and it waslike draping off the top of the turn
buckle or impaling somebody. Yeah.VI did sell it well though, but
I'm interested see where it goes.Um, Let's talk about Finn because so
last week, remember Finn Balor hadtaken out before his match with the Dream,

and they were basically trying to speculatewho it was. They advertised like
that he was gonna say who itwas or they we were going to find
out who it was. But thenFinn came out this week and you know,
cut of promo by the way,do you like that they're doing promos
at the top of the stage withlike the podium and stuff. Had did
they do it for? Who?Anybody else? WoT it on him?

They did it with velveteam last week? Oh did they? I must have
missed that. I thought it wasa thin thing and I was like,
oh, that's fine. No,yeah, no, I thought it looked
good, like it was good camerashots and you know, there were people
or there was graphics in the backand stuff like that. I guess it's
good if it sticks with Finn,but if it turns into like an every
person kind of thing, then it'skind of lame. It's fair. But

he basically called out whoever did itHe didn't remember who did it or something.
And then we had like a quickmatch with Cameron Grimes versus Denzel Dedronette
and then Camera Grimes one, andthen Camera Grimes started cutting a promo.
Camera Grimes back by the way,good to see him basically was cutting a
promo about how he would, youknow, stop Finn Balor's face or whatever

like that, and then unbeknownst tohim, Finn comes up the stage and
into the ring and has a confrontationwith Cameron and now we get that match
next week. I'm happy with that. Um So, that was a good
segment. Do you want to talkabout the Cruiserweight matches here? The first

(12:45):
one was Jack Gallaher versus Accurate Tazawa. Felt like I was watching two or
five live. Yeah, it feltlike very half asked. It was literally
like a four minute match. Well, it's probably because Gallaher knows that he's
done and uh t Zaa ended upgetting the win. Uh The seated centimes
a really good move, but youcan't overshoot it. He overshot it a

little bit. Yeah, he definitelymissed it, but the camera did good
work of, you know, showingthat it wasn't that big of a miss.
Uh So that moves Akira to twoand oh and gal Her to oh
and two and then we have uhthe other Cruiserweight match, which was uh

Kushita versus Jake Atlas and I thoughtthat was pretty good. Um Kushida hitting
this armbar out of nowhere on theseguys has been awesome, and you could
just kind of tell the Kushida speedingup and like kind of getting more comfortable
with each week. Um like eventhe the the hip toss into the cartwheel

dropkick deal or whatever is beautiful looking. Now it's like very clean, very
easy transition. So I'm happy withthat. Atlas is one on one,
Kushida's two and oh and I thinkwe have around three of that or like
it's a round robin, but likethe third match of the third matches are

happening in the next couple of weeksof that tournament. No mention of Phantasma
or the kidnapping storyline, by theway, no, which is last week
that if he wasn't on screen orsince he didn't have the maps, they
probably wouldn't address it this week,right right? Uh okay, Let's talk

about that debut. And it wasCarrie and Cross and Scarlett. I think
they removed the Bordeaux because I thinkthat's her thing or somebody else's thing.
First off, entrance Badass thought itwas very unique. It was it was
presented almost in a in a theatricalmanner. They had scarlet up top,

they had like the intro, likethe intro music to the intro, so
Scarlet's up top and gray scale,and then Cross comes out behind him,
and then like the just the theimagery of all this is really really satisfying
for me. So then you know, once the the lady in the song

starts singing, Scarlet starts lip syncingwith it. That's my only qualum this
entire thing is I could have donewithout that. That was awful. I
don't think so, man, thatI thought it worked well because by the
time she's in the ring and she'sselling this fall and Prey Fall and Pray,

Fall and Prey, she gets intothe last fall and and Pray and
then like she did a perfect jobof timing the fall with the music,
and then boom, there's just afreaking just this up you know, up
upbeat guitar just starts just freaking rocking. And I don't know what musical term

that is is that I don't thinkthat's a breakdown, but like everything just
comes into one and then the lightsstart flashing, and then you just see
Cross and you just see this freakingsadistic looking mother, you know, and
and he's just staring into the camera. He's doing the you know, the
Cross uh, you know, thearms and stuff like that, and like

it ends. But it was oneof the like the craziest entrances I've ever
seen on an next Telvision. Iwould put that debut entrance up with Finn's
Demon like. That was outstanding andthat's so key for when you don't have
an audience there to debut a newcharacter in that fashion. And people were

talking about it all over and I'mnot going I'm not going with like the
the IWC group think here when Isay I thought that was a freaking badass
entrance and they did everything they couldhave possibly done right with it. I
mean, I don't really think itwas a great entrance, my I just
it was outside. If I wasgonna nitpick at it, it's that that

lip syncing shit doesn't do it.That was probably the only time they're gonna
do that, I would I wouldthink, I don't now if they do
that every time. I thought itwas wonky at first two, but then
it got to that part where theeverything just went freaking haywire in the ring
and the lights started flashing and Iwas like, oh my god, this

is awesome and the music was perfect, so um he took on Leon Rough,
Poor Leon Rough. Um Leon endedup getting uh back suplexed on his
neck twice and then um it wasyou know, a sleeper hold with with

legs, I don't know, likea cohe coute basically or something like that.
Okay, the straight jacket, wellcross one in a matter of seconds.
Um, but I thought the entireway, the way that they presented
him was just a one. Andhe beat the dude while there was still

fog in the ring. Yeah,I want more, and I think that's
the important part about how you presentthese guys and and you know, new
debuting superstars. I want more.Okay, Uh. In between your matches,
we had um, what was it, Chelsea Green faced off against I

can't remember Ziali Ziali Um Chelsea one. Her finisher, by the way,
is the Unprettier, but it's calledthe I'm prettier. You know. That's
actually a pretty d play on words. I'll give him that. But she
won. Aliyah helped kind of witha distraction and Robert Stone extended his hand.
So maybe we're gonna see nuth inthe in the Robert Stone brand.

UH don't know what happened with Vanessaborn by the way. Uh, let's
see, we had a couple ofbackstage things. Uh, Matt Riddle and
Timothy Thatcher are going to defend theirtitles against Imperium next Wednesday. So that's

uh, that's gonna be a good, really really good match because Imperium doesn't
have bad matches. Uh. Let'ssee, do we miss anything before the

love your guy. This is onehundred percent your guy. Uh. He
comes out crawling on his fists likehe always does. Um takes a look
at the Era and starts trying tobeat up on him. So he's beating

believe it was Roddy into the rethOn accident knocks the rough out and uh.
Cole ends up taking advantage of it. Well, velveteen takes advantage of
it. First he has a onetwo three count after the Purple Rainmaker.

Uh. And then what do youcall it? What does what does Cole
do? I forget to take advantageof the rough being down? Um?
I think he nothing. Ye,I don't think he did anything. Okay,

that happened on NXD. I thoughtthat from what I read, that whole

I've read, that whole match wasgreat. I didn't watch it, it
was obviously, but like I mean, from what it sounds like they did
a really good job and like atleast they've found a work around where they
can have like some sort of audienceby having like people that work there there

I was actually surprised to see hedid it, which I think that

also recommend watching anything that Murder HawkLance Archer does, because that dude's a
