Episode one eleven, all consecutive digits. Did you say today was my birthday's

case? The week of the day? I didn't, you know. But
we're in person doing this again onebecause Marty's birthday too. Because the technical
difficulties last week were just an abominationand that's why the episode was named editing
This sucked. So hopefully this weekis a nice bounce back for us,
a little bit more less choppy,I should say less choppy, um,

not too too much to get toNXT rolling along with their episodes in their
way to getting to the next bigshow that they have, which is apparently
going to be called a Great AmericanBash. No, that's like next Wednesday.
That's a Wednesday night. Yeah,I know, Well that's what I'm
saying. Well that's not a takeover, no I know, but a quote
unquote big show because like AW isdoing fighter Fest for two nights, so

I'm guessing that's what they're gonna tryto do. To draw eyes one they'll
name next week Great American Bash,and then the week after that, obviously
we have Keith Lee and Adam Coleand one of the biggest matches in the
show's history. So that's I thinktheir way of trying to compete, even
though they don't need to compete becauseAW is gonna be on at ten o'clock

each night. Yeah, so that'sa lot of wrestling in those next two

actually I think one of their weakerones of the past couple of months.
I would say, just not quiteas much. I don't know, maybe
not as much on the stakes onthe line. We kind of know where
the storylines are going. Um,I just found myself not quite as invested
in this one as the last coupleof weeks, except for the main event.

The main event was outstanding. CameronGrimes and and Damian Priests had a
really good open. I liked thatreally. I felt like it was kind
of like a squash well, Imean, like a fast way to get
things going. And they clearly areshowing that Priests wasn't at one hundred percent.
Well yeah, but I mean itwas one sided, is what I
meant. Oh yeah, because heattacked him in before the match by his

car. So Grimes gets another bigwin. This ain't done though. I
mean, I feel like Priests isgonna get some sort of push out of
this, because again he's not he'snot a full blown baby face, but
he's trending towards that tweener direction,and this is an angle that kind of
give him a little bit of sympathybecause he was already hurt before all that

stuff started. Um. One thingwe forgot to mention last week that I
did want to bring up this weekand a complete you know, just a
loss of memory here the Timothy Thatcherstuff and these vignettes of him running his
own school or like his own program. It's like, thatch just cash cash

can't he can't say it six timesfast? Thatcher's catch wrestling school. Yeah,
it's like that just cash can orsomething. I don't know, but
I like it because it's kind ofshowing like he's trying to groom the next
breed of catch wrestlers and submission wrestlers, but he's also not giving them an
inch, and like he looks moreI don't want to say evil, but

like more aggressive with each episode,Like he's putting armbars on these kids.
He's, uh, you know,got that like sadistic look in his eyes.
And he hasn't been on television forquite a while, but that's because
I think they're really played in somesomething solid here for him, probably like
a North American title picture type thingor someone who's in like that upper mid

card to be his next opponent whileall the other stuff's going on. But
I was disappointed. I texted Martyafter last week's show. I said,
shit, we forgot to mention TimothyThatcher. But those those vignettes have been
going on for like three weeks.The first Santos Escobar match as Santos Escobar,
I thought it was pretty solid.Um, your boy Jake Atlas was

the opponent. Yep. Still notdoing much for Marty. Nope, he's
just create a wrestler genera, awhatever you want to call it. Um.
I do like seeing Rowl and walkingwild out there by Escobar's side,
though, as I mentioned last week, Escobar's kind of like taking on this
seth rollins ish role, not exactlythe same, but like that. And

I was right. It's called theIt's Eligato del Phantasma so um, that's
the faction name. Maverick had tobe taken to the hospital last week as
a result of the Phantom Driver throughthe table. I don't know what's next
for Escobar. I think it's stillgonna just be Drake and they're just gonna
drag it on and have him faceyou know, decent competition. Yeah,

until he comes back. Um,but I thought that that was pretty good
stuff. I love the Phantom Driver. I think that's a really good finish.
Um. It's the one angle,it's the one winged angel without the
convoluted setup exactly exactly. Uh,and it's it's a devastating move. Like
it's really it's really good. Um. Let's move along to the Roddy and

Loomis stuff, which honestly made melaugh. Okay, so we're back at
Undisputed Era giving Roddy that therapy.We're back in there, and by the
way, I told you that Kylewas there. He's the last time they
shot it. The way it wasshot last time made it look like Kyle
wasn't there. Well he's there becausehe's literally touching the guy. But anyways,

uh, they made him. Theymade Roddy confront his fear by getting
into trunk, which so dumb butso great. They did it. He
got he closed it, and thenAdam's like, yeah, you can take
on Loomis tonight. And that's setup for Loomis and Roddy. So Loomis
comes out weird as ever and isthe same entrance, same you know,

crawling across the rings on a fist, all that stuff. Then Roddy comes
out with Bobby Fish and literally threetimes Roddy exits the ring and Loomis is
just standing still in the like inthe corner and the angles so perfect.
You just see the back of Loomis'shead and then you see Roddy like just

looking at him and just straight upfear. And then he ran into the
guardrail at one point he did heran right into the to the plexiglass,
which was hilarious. Um So thenyou know, Loomis wins my count out
and he gets Bobby Fish into thechokehold thing whatever you want to call it,

because Bobby has his back turned andhe just like kind of catches him
in it right there on the apron. But they announced next week, and
I already know what I'm naming thisepisode Yapa Pie. Strap Match. Baby.
I saw, I saw the get, I saw the graphic come up,
and it was strap Match. Iwas like, fuck, yes,
Yapa Pie, dude. That wasliterally the first thing I thought of was

when I saw strap Match. Iwanted to text you, but I knew
you hadn't watched it yet, andI was just gonna be like, Yapa
Pie. So I don't think wecan name it number one, but I
think we can't name it Yapapie.We might have named an episode Yapapie already,

they gonna do the strap match thecorrect way where it's it's they're holding onto
each other. Well, isn't thestrap match where you have to touch all

they do it by pin. Theyjust kind of make their own rules up

That was actually a pretty good tagmatch that I'm looking at here,
the Caden Cross and Casey Cannonsaro againstRock Hell and Dakota Kai. Dakota ended

up getting the win and kind ofjust made her intentions clear that she wants
to challenge EO, which is honestlythe next logical step for who EO's next
challenger should be, because Dakota hasbeen getting this nice little push here as
a late I thought that was good. Um. I know that they did

announce the next week though there's aNumber one Contenders match which Dakota is involved
in. Yeah it's her Teagan Knoxme and um and uh shot, No,
it's not shot, Candice, isit? Candas? Ok? You
go there, you go? Sogood set up for next week. Um
again, I thought that Roquel lookedreally good. I know that you said

that you like her as a powerhouseand they're really booking her well at the
moment. Uh Casey's athleticism, man, she can go places like she she's
like she's like a spider monkey,like attached to anything. Like some of
those transitions and those counters were justkind of seamless. And I like Caden
Carter a lot too, Like theyactually have some pretty good like under not

I want to say underutilized, butlike under the radar women's talent right now.
I think it's it's pretty good stuff. Um. Cross versus Bronson Actually
was very surprised that they didn't haveit be a squash right away. Yeah,
they actually let Bronson get some offense. I was surprised that it was
more back and forth than all Cross. Yeah, it started out like Bronson,

they gave him some some stuff.But what I liked about it though,
is that like carrying Cross is afreak, and like the harder he
got hit, the more he gotpissed and like kind of fired back and
like you know, like no sellingthe German and you know, like I
don't want to say no selling thepunches, but like just taking them and

just like revving up. I guessyou would could you could call it?
Um well, I mean when thematch started, he like walked right up
to him, put his forehead tohis head and like was just like eating
the punches. H yeah, itwas. It was good though, it
was I thought I was. Ithought it was less back and forth than
Champa and Cross as it should be. Yeah. Yeah, still some back

and forth, but like I thoughtit was nice that they got Bronson some
offense and though and and you know, made him look pretty solid there.
Um, do you think that Crossis just gonna keep taking on people in
between while we're waiting for this toto come to a head, Because we've

got Keith Lee versus Adam Cole intwo weeks. That's where you're going to
see him next. I don't thinkhe's on TV next week, but I
think he interjects himself at the endof that match. I think so too.
I don't know how um, andit will suck to get like a
non finish in a you know,a match of this proportion. Those matches
always ended in non finish always,but the winner take all, like if
it ever does happen, Like,well, this is the first time the

North American Championship and NXTY Championship haveboth been on the line in the same
match. Yeah, Um, Ithink there might have been a tag where
they might have been both little match. But anyways, I think that that
kind of you know, that kindof match I want to I guess you
could say that kind of what's anotherword for proportion of that magnitude there you

go, of that magnitude m deservesa better finish. But at the same
time, we need to establish who'snext in line for Adam. And it
sucks that it's gonna come at theexpense of Keith. But Keith's gonna have
plenty of challenges lining up for NorthAmerican title, So I don't even think
it comes at the expensive Keith.It's gonna be like Adam's gonna get the

brunt of it, Like Adam's gonnabe He's gonna attack Cole for sure,
Oh I know, But I mean, like just the opportunity Keith to win
the title. Um, but Ithink that I don't know, I don't
know if they're gonna make it intoit like they would not make it into
a triple threat, would they.Well, that was what I was talking

about last week, where it waslike Cross interferes, they make some weird
ass jankie match where it's like KeithLeave versus Cross versus Adam Cole winner take
all, or they do some extrayankee bullshit where it's like Adam Cole versus
Keith Leave versus Cross, whoever youpin you take their belt, just like
a championship scramble kind of match,but a triple threats so weird shit.

Just include the cruiserweight champ in theretoo. But yeah, so I don't
know. That was like some likea weird shit that I was saying that
they could obviously go that route.I don't think they go that route.
It'd be interesting if they went thatroute, but I don't think that they're
gonna actually like move forward on thewhole winner take all aspect. Right,
we're on this, by the way, we may as well talk about the

triple threat. Everyone knows that Keithwon at this point. I was surprised
that Keith won, though I thoughtit was a really good match. I
was very surprised they Adam Pinfinn.Yeah, but at the same time,
I think they might just try tobe given Keith that credibility, you know,
eating that pin was not something Ihad in uh in my thoughts.

I thought that for sure Johnny wasin there to be the guy that gets
pinned, whether it was Keith orwhether it was fenn Um. I thought
that everyone had their you know,their shining moment in that one. Um.
I still love the the Keith risesum camera angle shot. That's always
good. Um. They that Keithworks better with smaller guys. Yeah,

but the match quality is good whenit's bigger guys like Di Covid and stuff
like that. But is he hurt? He has to be. He hasn't
been on TV. That's the onlything I can think of. Or else
they just don't have don't don't haveany creative forum right now because Keith Lee's
busy exactly. It's the only personthat he can ever face. But seriously,
I think that with those smaller guysthat works just it just works a

lot better that that could have graw. That Finn hit two on Johnny was
nasty. That was a really toughone. Um. I do you think
where do you think Finn goes first? Next? Before we talk about what
Johnny does next. Um, Ifeel like Finn will still feud with Keith

Lee after Keith Lee has this matchwith Cole. Okay, does Johnny stay
in his feud too? Is thatlike a triple threat for them coming up
or something? If Keith is not, No, is not any longer in
the NXT title picture, because thisis your fantasy booking style. Now now
that I'm here, because I knowyou wanted to get there last week.

Now that I'm here, now thatI've that I am a week away,
I'm trying to kind of jog mymind on what happens next for those guys.
I wouldn't be surprised if they doit this way, So I wouldn't
be surprised if they did Keith Lee. There's literally no mention of Johnny or
Finn next week. I wouldn't besurprised. No mention of Johnny Finn at

all. No Cross next week.Then the following week we might get like
Finn and Johnny John and each otherlike the week of the winner take all
match, and then Keith loses becauseof Cross's interference, well technically Keith a
win because of Cross's interference. ThenI think we get you know, Finn

comes back at Keith, and thenyou got Johnny being like I never got
pinned, I never lost, Sothey could be a triple threat. I
wouldn't be surprised if they went thatway. I don't know where Johnny goes
if he's not in that, becausethey're not going to do Johnny versus Champa.
And the only people that I couldsee Johnny feuding against would be like,
he's not going to do Cruiserweight becausethat's a few that's taken. He's

not gonna he should eventually get involvedin that picture though. Yeah, he's
not gonna do tags unless they likestart randomly pairing him with somebody, and
he's not going to do. Theydone Johnny versus Priest yet, No,
that was the only other thing else. And then that's the thing that actually
I could think I could see Priestsactually getting over in that feud because Johnny,

they could you can't really hurt Johnnyat this point in an XT,
and like him taking a loss topriest wouldn't really kill anything, and priests
could use a win, you know, Like, so maybe that's where they
go with him. Oh no,yeah, it's it's up in the air
because it's it's not really there's nota lot of like oh duh kind of

moments where it's like he's gonna godo that. Even Finn outside of feuding
with Keith, I don't see wherehe'd go because like undisputed Era has taken
an account for, Um Dexter hastaken account for. There wasn't a single
mention of velveteen this week, solike I wouldn't be surprised if he's blacklisted
at this point. Um, Andlike that's really it. I mean,

you could get Finn versus Champa maybe, but it does why would be the
like why would that there could getFinn versus Cross eventually, like that there's
eventually, but not like right now. Yeah, there's like right now,
I don't see like if Cross tookthe strap off of Cole, I could
see Finn in that picture. Yeah, I don't see many logical next steps.

There's a lot of like outside thebox things where it's like, oh,
yeah, he could feud with Champa. They could figure something out.
Um, oh yeah, he couldfeud with I don't know, KILLI and
Dane for some reason, you knowwhat I mean, Like there they could
figure something out with some random asspeople, but logical next steps. It's
really just him and Cole or himand Johnny continuing to go at Keith.

Yeah, for Robert, I actuallythink it's pretty good. It is good
for him. But I almost textedyou when it started and I was like,
wow, Ria's feuding with fucking Aliyahand talk about a step backwards.
No offense to Aliah, but likeshe's been in NXT. That's huge for
her. She's been in NXT sinceBreaking Ground was on the network, which

she's been in NXT, so withAngelo Angelo Dawkins the same way, but

it's Ria versus Aliah and Robert Stone. And I actually do if Ria loses
she joins the Stone brand, Ithink she loses. I think she loses.

She's done a fucking spout downward spiral, and I think that that's just
the cherry on top. I thinkshe loses, and she's in the She's
reluctantly in the Robert Stone brand,and that's gonna be her angle for the
next like three months, and thenshe's gonna feud with Chelsea or something.

in same with Bobby. Um,they're trying to convince him to join their

that's actually a storyline that makes sensebecause Ziggler brought mcatyre to Raw after
Messlemania like two or three WrestleManias ago, yeah, a while ago. Yeah,
So that kind of comes full circleand you could never have it no
matter how Staley is. You cannever have a bad Ziggler match, and
especially one that's for a WW title, Like it's a summer thing. Ziggler

just gets these title shots in thesummer, but they're usually good matches,
and Drew can't have a bad match. I'm pretty convinced right now. So
that's that, Uh, who isthe Oh no Aj has the inter Continental

He's facing Gulak actually tonight. Asof when we're recording this podcast, it's
three forty five pm on a Friday. He's facing Gulak for the Intercontinental Belt
