(00:00):
What's your favorite scary movie?
(00:22):
Cast were two lgbts talk, the horror movie of the week, real
life crime, or events. And if it's worthy of being an
honorary gay film, and yes, the time, Owls are puns.
I'm Elle I'm Kate. Happy pride month y'all.
That's all right. Go go goodbye.
(00:42):
Yeah. Happy pride month L picked out.
Something we want to do something gay.
I think because it's pride monthand you found something.
So would you pick oh this time Ipicked a good manners.
It was done 2017. It's about this woman who she's
(01:03):
a nurse from the outskirts of São.
Paulo. So it's say, it's a
international that's a foreign film.
She's hired by this woman, as a nanny for her unborn child and
they start to get close. But then like a fateful night,
just changes everything. And I'd heard about this movie.
I heard about from Kate, from you from that's my bread.
(01:27):
Never seen it. Yeah, this is this is something
that had been on my radar since it came out and since I first
heard about it and I think it was with the runtime that I just
never gotten around to it. And now I know there's a reason
for the runtime and I don't think we can talk about this
without getting into spoiler. So I'm first of all, I'm really
glad I was never spoiled for this.
(01:49):
Um, I'm saying it was a very different movie from what I
thought it was going to be, but the movie that it became I
enjoyed if that makes sense likeby the ending, the ending really
got me like if you have a good ending I'm like okay yeah.
That and that it's like earned and like everything is built up
to it because I don't know aboutyou but I was like whoa but
(02:10):
yeah. And like the lullaby was like in
my head after I finish and I waslike, oh my god.
Look, who's gonna go hug? My cat's now?
Yeah. So, At first, it was hard not to
be disappointed because I don't know about you.
But like, this was always marketed to me as like, a
lesbian werewolf movie. Yeah, I don't know if that's not
(02:33):
right. That's not what this is.
That's what this is. Um, it was definitely really
shocking on his death, like the child birth and the death.
That was like, first of all because like, oh my God like
what happens to her with the stomach and everything?
That is like worst fear worst like, alized fear of like it's
(02:53):
like why I never want to be fucking pregnant or just the
image of the baby shooting out with the only one like My God.
Yeah, she's it was like BreakingDawn shit.
Uh, ha ha. Honestly.
(03:14):
Um yeah I don't know. How did you what did you think
of? What are your general thoughts?
First of all? Yeah, because originally it was
always marketed to me also, as like a lesbian werewolf movie
and it's like there's lesbians in there is not and there is
werewolves but this that lesbianwerewolves but yeah.
Closer. We'll get there one day.
(03:34):
Wonder I really enjoyed the bondthat these that Clara and Anna
had at the beginning of the movie when they started you know
over time because she's there for like as her pregnancy goes
along and she starts observing her having these really weird
behaviors and she can't quite explain because like at one
(03:58):
point she comes across on in themiddle.
Of the night in the fridge because she's not allowed to
have meat, according to the doctors, and she's like, trying
to fight it in her eyes are likethis golden color and she's just
like, it's like craving like blood and meat things like that.
And she tells Clara the story ofhow she became pregnant and she
was at this. I think it was some kind of like
(04:21):
a party of some kind. She just like, met this random
guy and then when she woke up, after they did it in the dude's
car there. This monster outside the car and
she shot it with the handgun that was in the glove
compartment but she never saw the guy again.
And so when, when the baby happens, that was, yeah, true
(04:48):
nightmare fuel right there. Just like, yeah, I would never
want that ever like that into tan nightmare fuels for real.
No, thank you for a moment therewith the whole, like back story
of how she got pregnant. I thought they were gonna pull a
bat boy or something. I don't know why that's where my
mind went. But do you know the musical bat
(05:09):
boy? I've heard, I love it.
Yeah, it's the way he becomes like, I shouldn't be laughing
because okay trigger warning forsexual assault because sexual
assault is involved. Were like first, the the mom she
gets like for, she gets raped byher like boyfriend.
And then she gets raped by bats because of these like pheromones
(05:31):
and that's how the bad boy happened.
So for some reason, my brain waslike, so for she's gonna fuck
the guy and then like a wolf is gonna fuck her or something.
Like, oh no, you idiot a wearable.
Fuck sir. There's a simpler road to this
but I do, yes. It's like it's implied.
That that's what happened, right?
That the guy that she slept withwas a werewolf.
And that's how this baby happened, right?
Yeah. Okay, that's how it works.
(05:52):
That's that's just science. That's Stone, Cold science right
here. Yeah.
I also like yeah, like, yeah, like the fact that it didn't
even look like really like a human being when it would, like,
literally just come out of the Loom.
(06:12):
And it looked like almost like this mix of, like, werewolf and
child. And I guess, like, well, I guess
the mythology around this must be a little different because at
one point on a did scratch, Clara Clara with her, With her
like nails or like God, or with her teeth or something, but she
didn't have any kind of like change of any kind like, she
(06:37):
didn't like to turn into like a little bit of werewolf or
anything. So, I wonder if it's like, the
only way you can become one is if like you actually have a
werewolf child. Or maybe they can still get bit
by has to be like bitten by an actual werewolf, and it can't be
like just through them mother something.
So but I thought that was kind of interesting because I've
(06:59):
never seen like the idea of a baby werewolf.
Usually it's just mostly grown people.
Yeah. And that's where the danger
comes in and especially like this is so we should say that.
Yeah. And that in the Midway point is
the birth and honor the mother dies and it's the rest of the
movie is Clara, raising Joel TheWerewolf.
(07:19):
Hold it. Jumps ahead, seven years and
they've been, she's been raisinghim.
And like it's gone, pretty smoothly up until this point.
And he's like, you know, she keeps him in hurt.
His was called like tiny bedroomor his small bed.
Yeah. Which is like where she locked
him up for full moons. And you see like the routine of
(07:41):
that, and he just like, he's like, yeah, gets in bed.
Gets gets gets ready for the change in like, but this is
where the danger comes in is because he's a a kid and he's
curious and he wants he's like becoming his own little person
and wants to do things and is being told no and suddenly, you
know, like Any kids going to feel angst with that, but with
(08:01):
him, he's like this, it's this dangerous monster that he can't
control. So that's like a really
interesting. Another interesting take on a
werewolf. It's not the one.
We thought we were going to get,but I really tried to judge this
movie. Not based on that.
Yeah. Because I think the end result
is good. It's just, I wouldn't Market
this as a lesbian movie either. Honestly.
(08:25):
It's I think it's one of instead.
Just one of those examples of like, How to tell a story and
like, queer characters can be involved.
And this is kind of like it's interesting in a way because
like, this is kind of the only way this could be told of like,
This very specific Dynamic of because this isn't her kid and
(08:47):
she she chose to raise it because it was the child of the
woman. She loved you know and and then
she grows to love it as her own by the end but um, yeah.
I don't know. That's kind of fascinating.
I guess they said that I watcheda Q&A afterwards in the
directors said that they kind ofstarted with the idea of some
kind of non-human child and wentbackwards from there.
(09:07):
So like the ending and the dynamic between Clara and Joel
was The store they always wantedto tell and then like went
backwards. But it's I like that they didn't
just start with that because youhave that emotional connection.
And like, you know why Clara is doing this and how, like, her
love for on, and you saw that inthe first half of the movie, and
that kind of that, especially I think helps are in the ending.
(09:30):
Hmm. Oh my God.
Yeah. This is like I called this in my
review. This summer.
Lando werewolf movies because I don't know if you've seen some
real and I'm not, it made me want to if well, first of all,
Summerland slaps, if you are a lesbian, we watch, not really.
But, um, yeah, I was, if I hadn't finished this movie at
(09:53):
like midnight last night, I wantto pop that on afterwards
because there's a double featurein.
No one, but me would think. Yeah, also.
This, I feel like this is too much about like Cinema Sins.
Ask thing to point out, but it'slike so Joel first.
(10:14):
They're not supposed to eat meat.
Isn't like that's like a triggering thing for the wall
was apparently, but the diet, she gives him his no protein in
it. I was like Mama, you can still
eat protein, you can still get protein without eating meat,
like, give him some chickpeas orsome Nut Butter because again
some peanut butter his school lunches just broccoli and like
bread them like that. So I can Look sickly all the
(10:36):
time. Oh my God.
Yeah, make a shake. I don't know.
Oh also, thank you for warning. Me and I'll warn everyone else
here about the cat death becauseyeah, that was gnarly and I just
took out my headphones and kind of looked away.
Yeah, that's what I ended up doing this.
A, this, a cactus in it, not theone.
(10:57):
I thought it was gonna be because the they set you up,
they like Jack because the landlady also has a cat.
You're like, oh God damn it. Cuz whenever you see a cat, any
time, you see an animal in a horror movie, especially a
werewolf movie like, oh God damnit.
But that cat lives. Yeah, orange cat.
(11:18):
I also like how the when he and um oh what's that?
A boy's name? Mauricio at one point like he
discovers who on is and then he's like a, who's my dad and
it's like, no idea. But he's like tries to go out
(11:40):
because he saw were the lullaby music boxes from.
So he goes to that mall. That's kind of a little ways
away with his friend but it's unfortunately also during a full
moon and they like managed to get stay behind.
When the mall closes down for the day and still there, all
(12:01):
alone there but he starts transforming into a werewolf and
I like it's like a full wolf andhow painful it looks like to
transform into it. Because I know a lot of werewolf
Transformations are like made tolook really painful but to see
it on a kid is like something else.
Like he has to deal with this every full moon.
(12:22):
But there's no restraints aroundhim and on and with the culture,
They're impressed by the time hereturns home.
He still has all that hair on his body and the landlady was up
with with Clara. And she like, is me like, oh,
that kids of werewolf. I gotta call the priest.
We gotta look, exercises kid. So like how there's like there's
(12:45):
a demon inside him or something like that.
So obviously I guess it has something like really big in the
culture around around in that place.
I'm not not 100% certain but if it's enough to like resume their
Brazil, that's been up if it's enough for, they're like, oh,
that's a werewolf. Let's go get the priest.
(13:08):
There must be like a real priestgonna do that flicking with holy
water, I guess. I guess so.
But it is kind of sad for the for for a little kid though
because he liked eats his friendMauricio.
Yeah. That that kid did some really
good scared acting the kid that played mom.
(13:29):
Yeah, he was good. That was a couple.
That was a hard thing to watch. I'm betting.
They fully went there too. Then he sees and then Joel still
kind of being defiant about not being able to go to the little
party that's happening. I wants to go to the dance or
(13:50):
whatever. Yeah, so he goes.
Yeah. And just like that Clara is that
she does all of this like she like drugs the landlady so she
can't call the priest and then She takes, I'm presuming, it's
just regular bullets because it doesn't kill him because that's
(14:10):
what allegedly silver bullets. Kill werewolves to save him from
killing the little girl, was it because I suspect that she knows
what happened to Mauricio but the, it's too late.
Little girl saw him as a werewolf and she like, has blood
splattered on her and she like goes to were the adults are and
she tells them That her friend turned into a werewolf and they
(14:32):
like storm the house where he is, because Clara is trying to
put them back in the little bedroom, so he doesn't attack
anybody else. But that in the ending where
they're like, right outside the door with her and Jolin inside,
she takes him out of the shackles and then like reaches
out her hands. He holds onto it and I'm just
like that got me a little bit because it's kind of like a
(14:55):
Moment of clarity. She's yeah.
And she's singing the lullaby that on a taught her that Part
of the music box. It's like this.
And that's like what And he likeresponds to her.
It's or he's still this beast but he's like connected to her
and it's like Dem against the world facing.
That's it was like the open ending and everything.
Yeah, someone said it could be sad.
(15:16):
It's just depending on how you thought the ending would go.
Yeah, but I like the ending the other thing.
That's the other thing. That's kind of reminded me of
with Midnight Special. Like these are both, I think in
the end of just about like, how hard parenting must be knee.
I can't say that personally. But how hard parenting must be
(15:37):
in like the anxieties around it and how you can only do so much
to protect your kid. Yeah.
Whether it's biological or not, like yeah, I really liked it.
I'll be real with you. I wasn't as invested in even in
Clara and Donna's relationship during their portion.
And I think it was just because she worked for her and there was
(16:00):
I don't know that I think this is also because like okay so I'm
like looking at like nanny gigs right now or like babysitting
gigs for the summer and like allof them are like don't pay well
and they're all like also, you will be doing the cooking and
the cleaning and I'm like, no, I'm looking to watch your kids,
I'm not looking to clean your house and like something.
And went on. I was like, okay so you need to
(16:23):
clean, do all my cleaning and grocery shopping.
I would have been like bit fuck you.
So it took me a minute to get onher side and get in with if that
makes sense. Like there's also like an
obvious race Dynamic to. There's like a clasp that clasp
difference of race difference with them, but they don't know
they find each other. Does that make sense?
(16:49):
No yeah, no. I totally get.
Yeah. Absolutely.
Wonder what we just have to makea lesbian werewolf.
Yeah. Because I want to see a lesbian
werewolf. I think that sounds great.
Let's go. Even though I consider
gingersnaps that, that's not what gingersnaps double feature.
(17:16):
Good manners, gingersnaps it be work.
A double feature. Anything good manners is so
fucking long, but yeah, yeah. As long as a few things you
could pair with, yeah, So, I figured that I delve into the,
the origin of werewolves 40 for this portion, because I was,
(17:41):
like, I don't wanna talk about children attacking their own
classmates. Let's talk about like werewolves
in general. God, yeah,
So no one quite knows. When and where werewolf Legends
(18:03):
Orient originated a lot of scholars believe that the
werewolves made its debut and the Epic of Gilgamesh, the
oldest known Western Pros when Gilgamesh jilted a potential
lover because she had turned herprevious mate into a wolf.
They also made an early appearance in Greek mythology
with the legend of bike on according to the legend like on
(18:24):
the son of Pelagius angered, thegods Zeus when you sir Give him
a Meal made from the remains of a sacrifice boy as punishment.
The enraged Zeus turned lichen and his sons into wolves.
So many so-called werewolves from centuries ago were in fact,
serial killers that we're like considered werewolves at the
time. France had its fair share in
(18:46):
1521 the Frenchman Pierre Vogel and Michelle Verdun.
Allegedly swore allegiance to the devil and claimed to have an
ointment that turned them into wolves.
After confessing to the brutal murder of several children, they
were both burn to the the at stake because burning was
thought to be one of the few ways to kill a werewolf.
There was a man known as the world full of dull.
(19:08):
Giles Garner. He was a 16th century Frenchman
whose claim to fame was also an ointment with wolf morphing
abilities. According to Legend as a wolf,
he viciously killed children in ate them.
He too was burnt to death at thestake for his monstrous crimes.
Some Legends maintain werewolvesshape-shifted, I will do to a
curse others, say they transformwith the help of an enchanted
(19:30):
sash, or a cloak, made of wolf pelt.
And still others claim people become.
After becoming a strat cash or bit by a werewolf in many
werewolf stories, a person only turns into a wolf.
When there's a full moon and that theory may not be
far-fetched, according to a study conducted at Australia's
Calvary Mater. Newcastle Hospital, a full moon
(19:50):
brings out the beast in mini humans, quote around bees.
The study found that of the 91 violent acute Behavior
incidents. The hospital between August 2008
and July 2009. 23% happened during a full moon, Our patients
attacked staff and displayed wolf-like Behavior, such as
biting spitting and scratching all the many were under the
(20:11):
influence of drugs or alcohol atthe time.
It's unclear why they became intensely violent when the moon
was full So there's also the werewolf phenomena and that
might have a medical explanation.
There was a boy in 1725 called. Peter.
The wild boy, he was found wandering naked on all fours
(20:33):
through a German forest. Many thought he was a werewolf
or at least Raised by Wolves. He ate with his hands couldn't
speak, but he was eventually adopted by the courts of King
George. The first, and the King, George
the second, and lived out his days as their quote, pet in
England. Gross.
Research has shown that Peter had likely had pit, Hopkins
(20:54):
syndrome a condition discovered in 1978 that causes lack of
speech. Seizures distinct facial
features, difficulty breathing, and intellectual challenges,
other medical conditions that may have encouraged werewolf
Mania. Throughout the history are like
anthropy over a psychological condition that causes people to
believe they're changing into a wolf or other animal
(21:17):
hypertrichosis, a rare genetic disorder that causes excess of
hair. A growth.
There's lots of like stories of people that are from different
countries that have hair growth on their face just like almost
over their entire bodies. And people like I think it was
back when circuses still in like, you know, they would like
(21:39):
recruit these people to be like their quote, unquote, freaks of
nature to be shown to the general audience, simply because
they just look different from normal human beings.
And they still do exist. Today, I've read stories about
people that that families, that have that, that passes on, I
think its genetic it is genetic duh, it passes along through
(22:03):
their family line, and they all just have like all the success
of hair just all over their bodies.
There's also food poisoning, rabies hallucination.
And possibly caused by hallucinogenic herbs that spur
on the werewolf media throughoutthe centuries.
People have used werewolves and other Mythic beasts to explain
the unexplainable in modern times.
However, most believe werewolvesare nothing more than pop
(22:24):
culture. Horror icons made famous thanks
to Hollywood's 1941. Flick, the Wolfman still
werewolves, I have a cult following World, sightings are
reported each year and werewolf Legends will continue to haunt
dreams of people throughout the world and I also think I like
there's a lot of variations and werewolf cause like a lot of
(22:46):
people have it's like it turns into a full wolf or some like
just like have Like the appearance of like, a half-man
half-wolf, kind of going on. So it's all pretty much up to
interpretation, since there's nothing.
That's like, this is the definitive of what a werewolf
looks like, which I think can make it really interesting for a
(23:06):
different story telling and I'm not sure, maybe it's just that
has werewolves and recently to me, anyways, I just seem to be
associated Dated with like womenmore often, like, well at least
with, like, you know, Ginger Snaps, they use that parallel.
(23:31):
Of like anthropy and well, like, for, for like, as a metaphor for
puberty. Yeah, sexuality.
Um, I mean, I'm not the expert here, but that's kind of one of
the maintenance and says, I can think of is usually a more
masculine Te'o. Mmm, there's there's a female
(23:52):
werewolf in Twilight. You should have more female
horror horror movies with femalewerewolves and them, oh, well,
there's oh, there's a trick or treat so Cheryl.
That's do so true. There's probably more, like, I'm
not the expert on. That's okay.
(24:15):
That's okay. That's all God.
So then I guess it comes to the food.
Someone's listening and just like shouting obscure like
female werewolf movies. That was like you fool, you
forgot about these. I'm sorry now please, if you
know any of them just just let us know because we always always
down for more female werewolves. So I guess that takes us to the
(24:40):
very like, probably always already answered question.
Is this movie's gay? You buy all your murder weapons
at Home. Depot gosh, there's a lesbian
relationship in this but like I said, I wouldn't like Market
this or like records if someone was like, what's a good lesbian
(25:02):
movie? I would say good manners, if
they wanted an interesting, you know.
No ferried dark fairy tale Creature Feature about
Parenthood and love and I would recommend this if you wanted.
Yeah, yeah. We cut.
It's almost it kind of its like, that was kind of their approach
(25:23):
to was like a fairy tale for this.
I forgot to mention, I liked theuse of it was startling at
first. There's just a couple random
musical moments where people break out into song.
You're like what the fuck, but Ikind of just roll with it.
If it fit the Mist. Myths of the roofing like, yeah.
Okay. Now they're singing Let's go.
So that's my take away, at least.
(25:46):
Yeah, there's, yeah, there's gaycharacters in, it doesn't
technically. Yeah.
Oh no II agree. I feel like this is definitely
more just like, horror movie fairy tale.
Ask that just happens to have a bully.
Just they happen to be both, youknow, LGBT individuals.
(26:08):
Yeah. I think it's still a really, I
think it's still worth watching if you have the time to just,
like, to sit down and just watcha because it's like, 2 hours, 15
minutes. But I really enjoyed it.
Yeah, I think if there's anything that I nitpicked about
the movie, like the CGI, wasn't the greatest that I was like,
(26:30):
I'll Overlook it. It's fine whatever.
I've seen way worse that I really liked how they showed
like the aftermath of Like when he's back to being a human and
they have to like soak him in a tub so they can like shave off
his excess hair and like, take off the the nails like the
werewolf nails that grew over his regular fingernails and
(26:52):
click them. And like he's really aware of
what's going on which is I thinkalso pretty different because
like most people, you know, again are usually adults.
And at that point, they're probably aware of what's going
on. But have like she probably told
him at some point. Yeah, you turn into this thing
(27:16):
and he grew a lot of excess hair.
We have to, you know, take care of it is he doesn't seem to have
like Recollections or a very good memory of what he did
during the episode. Yeah, we learn.
You know, she was like, do you remember biting?
These changes, like, not really stuff like that.
He doesn't remember killing his friend when that happened.
Like, it's always licks like amnesia Waking up from that
(27:41):
which I feel like is common and werewolf stuff.
Yeah. Definitely.
I really just like the poster for this also, like I see it.
I'm just like, it's getting me feelings.
Because once you watch geologistand I just like that idea of
(28:04):
like a beast hand, just like taking a hold of, like a human
hand just like in understanding of what she's asking him without
saying anything, and it's two ofthem against the rest of the
community at this point. So it's like, What happens next?
That's up to you but I don't know.
(28:25):
I really I really enjoyed it as a film.
I realize I would highly recommend to anybody.
That's a horror fan. Yeah.
Thanks for getting me to finally.
Watch the who is always just sitting there?
Yeah. Happy Pride everyone.
Happy Pride to the lesbians intothe werewolf since this bad boy.
(28:49):
Absolutely. All right, so I guess we can
wind down. I know it's been another month
or so since we did our last episode.
It's good. Yeah.
So we don't have to be too extensive with because I know
that you are flying early in themorning.
So But yeah, I've met I'm on purpose.
(29:15):
I'm flying to Ohio. It's 6 a.m. who does On purpose
porpoise. It's for my cousin's wedding on
a porpoise. What have you been up to?
So I watched a fair amount of movies.
(29:36):
I think my favorites of the onesthat I watched recently was
like, Paris is burning Carnival of Souls.
And I watched a whole bunch of movies from my AFI lists just so
I could just start knocking those out.
And I also watched Hedwig and the Angry Inch like the start of
June, what up? Film.
(29:59):
What a film. I fucking love Hedwig.
God, it's so good. It's so I reminds me of like the
cuz my first introduction to Hedwig and the Angry Inch was
when like they did the Broadway Revival.
With Neil Patrick Harris becauseI still remember watching.
It wasn't the Tonys that he did.Hmm.
(30:19):
Sugar. Daddy sugar.
Yeah, and he's like the car wash.
Oh, yeah. Yeah.
So that was my first introduction to it.
I wish I could have seen it livebut that's all right.
Other than that though, I watch The in hang.
We watch the ending of succession.
(30:40):
God bless Tom ha ha we won. It's good to be a tall girl.
It's good to be as I was wearingmy team.
Tom sure. Yeah.
When I watched Never has it beenso satisfying to stand aside
(31:02):
character and it actually pays off and you're like, holy shit.
An excellent season, excellent series finale to, and then, I
don't know if you've seen Barry, but like these series finale was
also the same night as succession for that one as well.
And right, that was, was poof, that was a lot.
(31:26):
It was really good, but emotionally as a lot to deal
with. And then I like binge watch this
show called The Bear, which is on Hulu.
Yes, chef, I'm so excited for the second season, but other
than that, I've just been working and doing all my usual
(31:46):
stuff. I did.
See the I did see the Sweeney Todd musical like a couple weeks
ago. Oh yeah, you did.
Josh Groban is so good. Is he gonna get her?
Absolutely and Anna Lee. I'm a snob and still like ya
annaleigh Ashford. She's so Funny, like, she has
(32:09):
such great physical comedy in this and she's just, I'm so glad
that she's mrs. Lovett, because she's like a
little more. I'm not sure how the other mrs.
Lovett's were in their musical adoptions, but she's definitely
like more like, kind of pervy about it sound like much, she
cares. Oh, she's always perverse.
(32:29):
She is okay. Good like, oh yeah, she goes for
in this one. I'm like fuck.
Yeah, it's really good. She's a whore.
You should you should watch the the pro shot with Jorge
Hernandez. All Lansbury, their fucking
incredible. Yeah, the the Tony performance,
really. What surprised me about the
total performance was this like choreography which isn't what
(32:52):
sweet he's well-known for. So what are like there's you,
there's just not a lot like theydid the opening.
Yeah, the ballad. I don't know.
If you watch the Tonys and I waslike, what the fuck is this?
It was really cool. It's the whole show kind of done
like that, kinda this. It's Really an interesting
setting because they have like this catwalk that they can like
(33:12):
raise them lower and one of the set pieces can like turn around
and supposed to show like where the bodies come through the
Chute. And then like they turn it.
There's a stairwell that goes upto the catwalk and they'll have
people up there and people down on the stage and there is a fair
amount of movement and dancing things like that.
I know that the vehicle is not really well known for it, but I
(33:35):
guess the guy they were just like, we're going to put some
movement into this. Into this musical.
We slide, right? Yeah.
And apparently there's a in the loo font, and there's a
trapdoor, where Josh Groban comes out at the beginning for
the opening number, and when he gets to the front but where they
were for the Tony's, he had to lie down in the fall and had to
(33:56):
lift him and kind of throw them forward.
And I was like, I know that you got the trap door for that, but
I think you should just lie downthe phone from now on because
that's all video. I don't like, actually The Show
Must Go On. That's fantastic.
So funny, fantastic. I love it.
I hope it tours because I think everybody should see it.
(34:17):
And I had a great time. I love.
Yeah, they announced a tour and probably will be this cast.
But So I saw that I'm seeing Some Like, It, Hot this
Wednesday, I'm excited to see it.
So that's, that's what I'm up to.
What about you what you've been seeing watching?
(34:41):
I started my Gotham re-watch. Nothing else going on in my life
because because Perry Mason got canceled fucking HBO.
My therapist's advice, was to find a simply find another show.
And I'm like, I cannot simply find another show.
I guess I'm just gonna re-watch Gotham now, that's where I'm at.
(35:01):
what's notable to point out thatI've I watched when you like
horror or whatever, I don't know.
I haven't watched a lot of poor but it's any good movies.
You see this isn't whore, okay? I did a this was the most insane
double feature that I did where I went to go.
(35:22):
It's like I usually only have one day a week.
Like a Saturday, usually is like, when I can go see a movie.
And so, but there was so much out and so I just went to see,
are you there? God, it's me Mark.
Right. And then immediately after Saucy
soon which is this Finish movie about an old man in the Finland
(35:44):
Countryside, that like kills knots.
It kills a bunch of Nazis for like 90 minutes.
Straight is Grace, in a cinema. It's I was giggling the whole
time. Yeah, also saw you hurt my
feelings, which was fantastic. If you just like adults with
adult problems in New York, go for it.
(36:08):
Bailey. I got them.
That's off my brain right now isjust like like a ping-pong ball
Oswald cobblepot's head like hanging around in my head right
now. That's all I can tell you God.
I think the only other show I'veever re-watched was the X-Files.
I think every watch that like atleast three times, but I applaud
(36:30):
you on going back and re watching Gotham so many times.
Well, yeah. Because I've never, I haven't
done a full re-watch since it ended.
I always like kind of just slag off, like it's usually around
the second half of the second season because it's so fucking
boring, but if I can get throughthat, I think I'll be okay.
(36:51):
Oh, okay, yeah. My flawed flawed fav.
God, I don't know, we caught, weused to have a TV.
We used to have shows on TV, where with people got taken to
the death with a giant weather balloon and Jada.
Pinkett Smith was taking out herown eye with a spoon.
(37:13):
Like, we don't have that anymore.
Gotham Knights would never do this.
Be a society must be a problem. I miss Gotham.
I miss Perry. Mason everything.
I love dies. That's all.
Simply find another show. Anyways but Prime has been good.
(37:35):
It's been bobbing and a lot of things.
I'm excited for the parade next weekend.
I'm not. Your cousin had those.
Yeah, they have in your hand of the month.
They had the Puerto Rican Pride Parade on.
I think last Sunday I never workon Sundays but they we didn't
open our store till like 2:00 because it keeps people from I'm
(37:58):
just coming into the store to use the bathroom and stuff
because we have a public restroom.
So I was like, yeah, I can I cansee that but apparently when it
went really well. So I was like, yeah, that's
good. At least.
That's pretty much what's been going on on my end.
Anyways, Ivan, that just been chilling taking it one day at a
(38:18):
time. Okay.
Well, I'm really glad we watchedgood manners.
Finally same that was absolutelysame was like we can't miss
