The weekly sermon podcast of Sycamore Hill Church - Hockessin Campus. A Gospel Centered community near Wilmington, Delaware. Relevant and thoughtful teaching from God's Word by Pastor Jon Boulet.
Let us strive to maintain the faithfulness shown by these churches whom Jesus commends.
Jesus calls the first church to remember and return to their first love.
When reading Revelation, we are best served looking for Jesus, and what we find needn't be reduced to abstract imagery.
God uses the ordinary to accomplish the extraordinary. He entrusts His Kingdom to us, the church.
God is faithful in the big and small things, and we maintain our peace best when our priorities are aligned with his.
Forgiveness is offered to us as a gift. But at what cost? And who can receive such a gift? Only when we understand the answers to these questions can we truly appreciate what is being given.
Despite our sin, and even because of it, God pours out His love for us.
Does Jesus have permission to allow the storms in our life so that we might recognize our own smallness? And isn't it His intervention in the storm that reveals His vast care for us?
The vastness of the universe is made small in God's hands, and yet He was and is overlooked by so many. With childlike faith, we can appreciate Him for who He is.
The package is not fit to hold the treasure within, and yet we have been chosen for His purpose.
Why might our faith not be working itself out in our lives as it ought?
In the New Covenant, the veil has been lifted, and we can freely access all that God offers by His Spirit.
The glory of the new covenant far outweighs the glimmer of the old.
We need to turn down the volume on the noise that drowns out what we ought to be listening to.
Let us give our Amen, because Christ gave his to fulfill all God's promises.
Comfort does equal ease. God's view of comfort may be vastly different from ours.
When does eternal life begin?
Finding that which is lost is worthy of celebration
