Som vd för bolaget Skistar sedan fem år är Stefan Sjöstrand en makthavare inom svensk turism. Dessförinnan har han haft en rad prestigejobb som företagsledare, däribland 13 år på högt uppsatta positioner inom Ikea.
I dag ansvarar han ett företag som står för ungefär hälften av all alpin skidåkning i Sverige, mätt i liftkortsförsäljning. Här ingår bland annat stora och klassiska vinterdestinationer som Sälen, Åre och Vemdalen.
”Valde att se det ljusa i livet”
Stefan Sjöstrands personliga resa är betydligt mer okänd. Som 20-åring förändrades hans liv efter Åmselemorden - ett av Sveriges kanske mest uppmärksammade brottsfall genom tiderna. Det var Stefans pappa Sten, halvbror Fredrick och pappans fru Ewa som mördades den natten.
