Crowleys store Berlin-utstilling åpner, dramaet rundt Karl Germer tilspisser seg, og vi blir kjent med kulturpersonligheter som Max Brüning, Ernst Schertel og Ethel Mannin – alt mens Berlin gradvis glir inn i nazismens grep.
Til slutt presses Crowley ut av byen, banket opp av brunskjorter og økonomisk ruinert, mens et av hans mest intense kapitler går mot slutten.
