Talking Russia in the 2024 Paris Olympics. In this episode Master Marc Zirogiannis discusses the IOC's decision to allow Russian athletes to compete in the 2024 Pros Games. While this statement and decision reinforced the decision to ban Russian and Belarus, as nations, from the games, it also created pathways for their athletes to compete in the games.
This decision was met with condemnation by Nancy Armour, of USA Today. Ms. Armour's Editorial attacks the decision as acquiescent to Russian and its President. Her attack was not only on the decision, but pointed directly at IOC President Thomas Bach.
Others applauded the decision as a way to protect hardworking athletes that are not political and have no political agenda, per se.
