In this episode, our guest is Dr. Carlene Link, who is a clinical pharmacist who works in the inpatient setting for a Level 1 Trauma hospital. She completed her undergraduate at John Carroll University, received her Pharm.D. from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy, and completed her PGY-1 residency at Mt. Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital. In 2010, she became a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist (BCPS). She began her career as an Internal Medicine clinical specialist where she worked inpatient rounding with her teams for five years and then moved into the business sector, working for an international drug information company for another five years. Following the birth of her second child, she stepped back from Corporate America to raise her kids while returning to the clinical setting. A mom to two active boys, she is a workout enthusiast who loves fashion, cooking, traveling and reading. An active medical blogger, she is extremely passionate about empowering busy moms in healthcare to embrace their work-life harmony, advancing the profession of pharmacy and inspiring and motivating the next generation of pharmacy leaders (find her on social media @drcarlenelink!).
