Outline - Class #12: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم اعلمْ -رحمكَ اللهُ- أَنَّهُ يجبُ علينَا تَعَلُّمُ أربعِ مسائلَ؛ الأُولى: العِلْمُ؛ وهوَ معرفةُ اللهِ، ومعرفةُ نبيِّهِ، ومعرفةُ دينِ الإسلامِ بالأدلةِ. الثانيةُ: العملُ بهِ. الثالثةُ: الدعوةُ إليهِ. الرابعةُ: الصبرُ علَى الأَذى فيهِ. والدليلُ قولُه تعالَى: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وَالْعَصْرِ (1) إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ (2) إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ (3) قالَ الشافعيُّ رحمَهُ اللهُ : لوْ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللهُ حُجَّةً عَلَى خَلْقِهِ إلاَّ هٰذه السُّورَةَ لَكَفَتْهُمْ *Intro: -Even though this is a tawheed class, Islamic sciences are intertwined and therefore this class will seem like it's a tafseer class. -The four introductory fundamental principles of tawheed were directly taken from Suret Al-Asr -The sahabah held suret Al-Asr in high regard and gave it a special status *Oaths by Allah *Four opinion on what Al-Asr means. 1. All of time. (a. Time of all creation on this earth [or] b. Your specific time on this earth) 2. Era of the Prophet Muhammad Sallah Allahu Alyhi Wasalam 3. The timing right before sunset. 4. Salat Al-Asr [or] the timing of Salat Alasr. -Selected opinion by Altabary and Shanqeety. *Importance of Al-Asr/Time for Muslim and especially for youth. *Oath of Allah by Al-Asr: -Never object, doubt or question matters in the Koran or authentic sunnah. -Using intellect to question the Koran and Sunnah is a quality of the Shaytan *Three points on why there are oaths in the Koran *Oath by Humans must only be by Allah and not by creation (To be continued) *Arabic version with tashkel is for those who recite to the Shaykh, to avoid mistakes in tashkeel..
