In this powerful TempoTip episode, Chris Thomas reflects on the significance of a father’s presence and influence as a mirror of God’s love, wisdom, and guidance. Through personal insight and biblical reflection, this episode dives into the importance of honoring the earthly father figures in our lives not for perfection, but for their divine placement as mentors, protectors, and spiritual anchors.

Whether your relationship with your father has been close, complicated, or somewhere in between, this episode challenges listeners to look again—this time through a lens of restoration, understanding, and reverence.

Tune in as Chris shares how recognizing your father’s role as a mirror of God can lead to healing, growth, and renewed purpose in your walk with Christ and in your legacy.

Key takeaway: Sometimes, the reflection we’ve been avoiding is the very one God is using to shape us.

that challenge and inspire, frompersonal development to
entrepreneurship, mindset and more.

to unlock your potential, you'rein the right place.
Let's start building your path to greatness, one step at a
time. Get ready to tap into a new

(02:13):
level of Earth and transformation on tempo with
Chris Thomas. This week's tempo tip is a call
to look again, not just at your earthly father, but at what God
intended him to be, a mirror of the Heavenly Father.

(02:37):
He might not be perfect, but there's wisdom, there's
experience and guidance locked inside of him that you might be
overlooking. So let's unlock it.
Today. I want to give you 5 points like
I always do with tempo tip. So tempo tip #1 your father is a
resource, not just a relative. God didn't just give you a

(03:01):
father for protection, He gave him as a vessel of instruction.
Proverbs 18 and 9 reminds us to cherish a father's teaching as a
crown and as a necklace. So let me give it to you. 93% of
families follow when a father gives his life to Christ.

(03:24):
Temple tip #2 Honor is a key that unlocks access you can't
receive from someone you resent.Ephesians 6 tells us first, also
two and also three tells us thishonor your father and mother
that it may go well with you, right?
So children who maintain a respectful relationship with

(03:44):
their fathers have higher academic success and also
emotional stability. That's important.
Tempo tip #3 Restoration starts with reconnection.
Even if your relationship with your father may be fractured,
the first step is reaching out with grace.
Malachi, four and six, tells us he will turn the hearts of the

(04:07):
fathers to the children. Real talk man, reconnection is
not about perfection, it's aboutrepositioning your heart.
Tempo tip #4 Fathers teach us how to relate to God.
Our first concept of God often forms through the example of our

(04:28):
earthly father. Hebrews chapter 12 verse 9 tells
us compares reverence for human fathers with the reverence for
God. So disconnection from fathers
often leads to spiritual disorientation.
But restoration brings clarity. Simple tip #5 You become what

(04:53):
you refuse to reconcile. The pain you avoid becomes the
pattern you repeat. Heal the wound with your father
so you can become a whole fatheryourself, or a son or daughter
for the next generation. Deuteronomy 6 chapter 6 that is
verse 6 and also 7 commands fathers to lead spiritually so

(05:19):
the next generation thrives. Let me give you a stat Father
absent homes are linked to higher rates of depression,
higher rates of poverty, and higher rates of academic drop
out. So don't discard your father's
value because of his flaws. Your honor doesn't mean he's

(05:39):
perfect. It means you recognize the
position God gave him in your life.
So this week, take one step toward restoration or
reconnection. Rather, it's a phone call.
If it's a conversation or just aprayer, open your heart today.
God uses fathers as mirrors, notbecause they're perfect, but

(06:02):
because they carry His reflection.

(06:33):
None.
