Doug MacKinnon goes a few rounds while we corner him and get his whole journey from Boston to Long Beach, California. He takes us from his roots in Boston where he banged the drums for all your favourite punk bands, then all the way to favelas of Brazil while managing the band Madball. In between those periods, he also pounded the bags in an other fashion via combat sports such as Muay Thai and traditional boxing. Today, Doug is navigating the business world as the owner and head coach of a boxing gym, while also manning the anchor as the drummer of a local band composed of punk rock luminaries.
