Speaker 1 (00:00):
Breaking down every game, every day in Major League Baseball.
This is the Baseball Betting Show. Here is your host,
Greg Peterson.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Hey, we're not BULLI Loo what gonna love me Las
Vegas for the Baseball Betting Shoe with myself Greg Peterson
now part of the Visa Family Podcasts. We've got an
excellent podcast for you as joining me in segment number two,

He does amazing workover at wtop Sports along with that USA.
Today we're gonna be discussing with him what he's all
noticed in the first few weeks of the season, if

(00:30):
there are any teams, any pitchers. I've really been surprising
him to the positive or the negative. And we're gonna
be diving into the Tuesday card and then in the
final segment, gonna get you guys picks and analysis on
every game on the betting board for this Baseball Tuesday
as we touch them all. If you do have a
question comment segment idea what I have be for this podcast?
You have one of two ways bo far those in
first one is my Twitter slash xs timeline at you
and at Underscorty one keep in mind letters GM, they

(00:52):
mean does I'm matters? So as per usual, please to
send these into the timeline. By the way, is buying
an Apple podcast review. If you're ate this podcast five
stars that it's very much appreciated them. From there, you're
able to fire in whatever you'd like here on this
podcast via that five surviw to not get in any
of those old Twitter slash x questions today, but had
a fun day a baseball on Monday. Let's dive into it,
try to find some drunds and try to get to
know these teams a little bit better.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Games for yesterday is Greg buzzing about here is the
rowdy recap.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Was quite a low scoring day out in baseball on Monday,
but we saw the biggest underdog of the season cash
a lot of places closed with the Washington Nationals right
around about plus three thirty five. Circuit closes them a
plus three seventy five, and the Nationals get the job done.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
By god a six to four.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Absolutely hilarious, Like, I just could not justify the Washington
Nationals being that big of an underdog. And for a
young mister Parker, Mitchell Parker, he gives up two runs
over the course of five innings holds down the fort.
Matt Barnes from there gives up an under and run
in two thirds of ninning, but doing floral Kyle Finigan,
they both supply a score of setting under RV. He's

(01:56):
able to give you a ning that allows a run
along the way, but the bigg in this one Lewis
Garcia three run shot off of Tyler Glass now his
first of the season. C J Abrams, he would also
go deep off of Glass now his fourth of the campaign.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
Is old.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Oppenheimer did not have himself a very good night. He
got bombed, giving up six runs over the course of
five innings. To see what I did there, as he
had from there two squirrels sendings out of Nick Ramirez
and Ricky Vanasko in his MLB debut two score of settings.
So the Dodgers are now eleven and eight on the
Washington Nationals not looking completely sorry right now. Your top
overteam in all baseball is the Cincinnati Reads, and they

(02:30):
were able to play another over on Monday, but they
did not get the job done. The Seattle Manners, who
have been not good at the plate to say the least,
a rough for nine nine to three, they take down
the Red Legs as one of the thanky mon Tuss
thinks the two innings that he gives up five runs,
all of which will earned, including a pair of bombs
or a Pelonco Mitch Hanneger both to get their second
home run of the season. From there, he had one
aarn given up in four innings by Nick Martinez. Not

(02:51):
a bad long relief appearance. Buck Farmer from there gives
up three runs in two innings. Meanwhile, Jamier Candelario along
Jake Freyley were able to go deep in this one
can Lario second home run season Frayley as first. Frayley
goes off of gab Spyer out of the bullpen, who
gives up our run an inning, and George Kirby. He
does a lot of that home run two runs in
total over the course of six innings. So held it
down there, while Taysoon Miller along Taylor's acato, they were

(03:12):
both able to give you a scroll of setting big
fray Seattle Marinteam that's been scuffling to begin the season
at seven and ten, but these scuffles of the Miami
Marlins are far worse. Our DK Nour right up pick
now is on the San Francisco Giants on the money line,
and they get the job done by a count of
four to three. Got down early in this one three
to zero, but as by any Marlin's bullpen, they have

(03:32):
a nearly six ra after Edward Cabrero, he gave a
really nice start coming out the injur list ten punch outs,
six innings of one run ball and then George Shoriano
blights the game on fire, giving up three runs over
the course of two thirds of ning. Andrew Nardi gets
it out of the bullpen, and Brian Hoying was able
to give you two scorel of settings. But for Miami
they had a Vcio Garcia get a second home run
of the season, but past that second ending they did

(03:53):
not score at all. As Kyle Irrison settled down after that,
giving up three runs over the course of six innings.
He had Ryan Walker, Camellia Devall Comebine for two world settings,
and then one part of a Rodgers square delivered a
scoreless setting in Tyler Rodgers. So the Giants say, continue
the misery of the Miami Marlins, who last year they
were just so good in one run games, and we're
starting to see that reversal happened this year. They were

(04:14):
thirty three and fourteen, by the way in one round
games eight season ago. They started off with the Cleveland
Guardians Patriots a taking down the Boston Red Sox six
to zero. For the Red Sox just a rough covid
on offense for them, to say the least says they
had scored zero or one runs and now five out
of their last eleven games. As this was a lockdown
performance from Xavion Curry. Five squirrels of settings, Tim Aaron

(04:34):
from there, two squirrels to Nick Sandlin, Eli Morgan. They
both supplied scoreless setting. You had Will Brandon be able
to get his first arm run the season, and that
comes off of Greg of Weisert. After you had Couter
Crawford let me good start five and two thirds ing
scroreless and then the schlubs out of the bullpend were
not great. Weiser gives up that so home run in
a third of an NI Bran Bernardino gives up a
run at an a Josh Minkowski two runs, one of

(04:55):
which was earned, given up in an NA chase. Anderson
gives up two runs in his ending work, so that
was less than savory for the Balliston Red Sox, but
this is very savory for the Baltimore Orioles. They just
continue to win games seven to four. They take down
the Minnesota Twins, a rare over for the Twins, says
they played nine hunders two six overs. For oh Minnesota.
You had Ose Miranda get his first home run season.

(05:16):
That comes off of Cole Irvin, who to give up
two runs in four and two thirds endings. Keegan Akin
from there, he goes a third of an end in
giving up two runs, but they don't take anier cano.
They combined for three squirrel settings at Craig Kimbrel. He
supplies a squirrel setting as well. Meanwhile, for Cleveland, three
over home runs, Gunner Anderson fourth home run season, Cedric
Mullens fourth home run of the season, and Ryan O'Hearn
is served as Louis Varlin. Louis Louis gives up two

(05:38):
of those home runs, six of runs, four of which
were earned, given up in five innings, and then Mike
o'bauman comes in allows a solar run in his three
innings of work, as the solo run that he gave
up was to Gunner. Henderson, so Oriols stay hot out there.
The Philadelphia Phillies eleven unders is six overs as far
as the season and they can only muster two runs
against the Rockies on Monday, but was enough to be
able to get the job done two to one. The

(05:59):
Phillies get to win as cal Quandri good start one
run surrendered over the course of six innings. He had
Jalen Beaks, Nick Mears combined for two squirrel settings and
Justin Lawrence a squirrel setting of his own. But Jack
Bird gives you the bird as he allows a walkoff
single to Christian Pashe for an underd run in the
tenth inning end. Michael Taglia loan form of offense for
the Colrade Rockies. He gets his fourth home run in
the campaign that comes off of Aaron Olho gave a

(06:21):
good performance gives up this home run, but just one
run surrendered in seven and a third innings. Jose Alvarado
two thirds vennings scoreless and then Jeff Hoffman Sir Anthony Dominguz.
They're both able to apply you with a scoreless ending
as well. You saw the walker Texas Rangers pull off
a rarity for them. They played a one to zero
game against the Detroit Tigers, getting the job done. Tigers
now nine hunderds, six overs and just one push and

(06:43):
Michael runs. And in his first start of the season
for the Rangers, I can't say it was sharp. He
gave up five walks in five innings but didn't allow
any runs from there. Ose La Clerk two scorels sayings,
David Robertson, Kirby Yates, they will supply a squirrels setting
and for the Texas Rangers not a lot doing on offense.
But he got one run in six and a third
inning off of Reeesulsen and it was enough. Felex Edo
two squirrel setting, Tyler Olton two thirds venning squirrel assent

(07:05):
for the Tigers, OH of eight with men in scoring position,
So that was rough. It has been rough for the
Blue Jays be able to generate runs, but they're actually
not the top under team in all baseball. That'd be
the Yankees. Five overs, eleven hundreds and a push. And
he played another one on Monday with the Blue Jays,
getting it done by count of three to one. Luis
Eel talk about him being Rick the wild thing von
two point zero five innings, pitch he lost three. It's

(07:27):
not bad. Seven walks in five inches that was interesting
to say the least Tennis Santana from there a squirrels
setting Ron Menanacchio gives you two scoreless and for the
Toronto Blue Jays they go one of ten with men
in scoring position. But it was enough for Chris Bassett
and the Yankees took Fine and sinkers six and a
third innings of giving up a one run. Jay Green,
Jimmy Garcia boll supply score setting and Tim Mason was

(07:48):
able to give you a pairabouts on the bullpen scoreless
as well. Yoklin triple as do not cover the run
line on this days. They have not failed to cover
the run line in three o their last four games
of seeing Louis Cardinals get a three to one win
as Sonny Gray six sending see it was great. Jojo
Romero gives up a solme run and is ending work
as a sterry er. Wize, welcome back to the big leagues.
First some run of the campaign. After he was very
unrightfully to moot and Andrew Kittrick, Ryan Elslie, they able

(08:10):
to supply a squirrel of setting it for the Oakland
A's they had Ross Stripling go out there and gave
up quite a bit of contact, gave up three runs
over the course of five to two thirds, ending six
hits in total. From there, Michael Kelly twon at third
nding Squirrels Austin Adams. The squirrel is setting in the ACE,
top six team in the Big Leagues with regards to
Bullpenny Ray.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
Too bad.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Their offense couldn't give them much of anything. Not a
lot of offense in this one either the Chicago Cubs.
They get the win over the Arizona Diamonbacks by a
kind of three to two. As Ben Brown is right
now looking like a baller for the Cubs. One run
surrendered at six innings. Great start there to have Drews
finally give up a run in an ending, but Ector
Norris and Luke Little they come up big with his
squirrel setting and Keegan Thompson two squirrel of settings in

(08:46):
the ninth to tenth inning and Matt Bush gotta love Bush.
This is not Bush light. This is bush regular. Sixth
home run of the season, fifth home run in his
last five games. Now, the Cubs left twelve and on
basic go to a fourteen with Ben and scoring position,
but they do just enough in the eleventh nning to
be able to find a way to be able to
get the job done. Meanwhile, for Arizona, Meryl Kelly does
allow that's home run to Bush in his five innings work,

(09:07):
and the bullpen wasn't bad. Kevin Gingle gives up a
run in an nning. You had Kyle Nelson come in
for a squirrel setting along with Ryan Thompson, you get
a casser Joel mantiply the combined for a squirrel setting,
and then Ben Jarvis allows an under and a run
and two innings of work. So the Arizona Diamondbacks just
could not get a lot going on offense. As very
much an underwhelming day in baseball on Monday, headline by
the fact that the White Sox get completely blanked by

(09:28):
the Kan City Royal Students. Here of the final this
was actually not a bad start from Nick Nascarini gives
up two runs of five innings in his MLB debut
that includes a home run to Vinnie Pescentino and start
on and run the campaign from there. The bullpen did
their part. Joy Leisure, Stephen Wilson, Michael Kopek, Dominic cala Own.
They all supply a squirrel setting, but for the White
Sox day just could not hit seth Lugo seven scirrel
of settings from there, Chris Ran James McArthur, they both

(09:50):
supply a squirrel of setting in the White Sox two
and fourteen and incapable of generating runs right now. Very
very sad to say the least, says for the Inland
of Braves may have been one of your top over
teams in all baseball as far this season, though this
was a under game, as they're now ten overs, four
unders and a push six to one. The Aline of
Brads get the job done. Darius Vines got into a
little bit of a sticky wicket, gives up three walks

(10:11):
four hits in four and two thirds dings, but LAG's
one run and from there the bullpen was tremendous. Aaron
Bummer Pierce Johnson combined for two squirrel setnings. AJ Minter
Fouts had the bullpen scoreless. Jesse shavenz Ay squirrel Is
setting it for Houston. Spencer Arraghetty looked much better in
this performance than he did the first time around in
his first career outing and so Royals gave up seven
runs in three innings, so giving up two runs and

(10:31):
four innings against the Alina Braids marked improvement. But Josh
Hater gives up four runs in a third of an ending.
There's a bullpen that was actually fine, Brian Brady Rafielltto.
They he combined for three Squirrel signings Seth Martinez, the
Squirrels signing Brandon Beelock two outside the bullpens scoreless but
not a lot doing for the Houston Askers on offense
on this they have been very touch and go with
the guards their mats, to say the least. And right

(10:52):
now your top overteam in all of baseball, that would
be the Milwaukee Brewers. They are eleven overs to four unders.
Actually the Reds twelve overs of four. They are number one,
but Brewers are number two. They play another over, but
they fall to the slam Diego potras By kind of
seventy three. Joe Munsgrove not stally sharpened this one. Three
runs surrendered in six innings, giving up a home run
to Jackson Cherio, third home round the campaign. But Joe

(11:13):
Ross was worse, giving up seven runs, six of which
were earned in four and two thirds innings. From there,
the bullpen held down the Ford as he had two
and a third inning scoreless from Thaiugo Vieira and Jared Croning.
He was able to come in for two scoreless settings
as well. But for the Padres, their bullpen was having
this on lockdown. Steven Coolik Roberts Forrez, they combined for
two squirrel settings and yell Dlo Santos. He was able

(11:33):
to apply a SQUIRRELSS signing of his own, and then
you did see the Tampa Bay Rays fall to the
La Angels on Monday by kind of seventy three. As
the Angels have been a bit of an all over
the place team as if the Tampa Bay Rays. The
Rays entered into this game with the worst bullpenny araing
in the big league. Send that continued Zach Efflin, pretty
Euflin good six and a third inning scoreless, Chase and

(11:54):
Adam pair of outs out of the bullpen scoreless, and
then philm Ayton gives up five runs in an inning,
including home run and Kevin Kelly two to the ending,
giving up home runs we need for the LL Angels.
Taylor Ward is sixth home run the season. Mike Trout
his seventh. All players not named tron Ward have combined
four home runs for the Angels, and these two guys
haven't combined thirteen. So go figure top heavy nest for
the Angels that is back in full forth even without Otani. Meanwhile,

(12:17):
Patrick Sandoval he gives up a one run over the
course of five innings. Adam Simberg, Lewis Garcia, Met Moore,
Carlos Stevens, they all come into the game at Moore
does allow two runs and is setting and work, including
a home run to Harold Ramier's first home run season.
Other three guys they provide a scrorel of setting of
their own. And if you're taking a look at the
New York Metropolitans, well, congratulations, you gotta win there. The

(12:37):
Mets they pull it off against the Pittsburgh Prayers by
account of six to three. For the Buckos Martin Peez
not a great start. Nun a terrible stirt gives up
three runs of five and two third sennings. But rold
As Chavian, where have we seen this before? In New
York gives up three runs at a third of an enning.
Hunter is stranding along with Ronzi Contredis. They combined for
a scroll of setting, and Colin Holderman was able to
give you a scroll of setting. But for the New

(12:57):
York Mets, they were able to do a solid job
of being a to provide Adrian Uncolem Doogie Houser some support.
Five walks for Houser and five to third endings, but
just two. It's two runs allowed. True Spence from there
gives up a run in two thirds of nighting, but
at amount of Vino, Edwin, Diaz, Brooks, Raley, they all
provide a score of setting. And if you're looking at
what we're seeing trend wise in baseball right now, it
has for the most part been a little bit of

(13:18):
an overseason, but you didn't see it yesterday in Major
League Baseball. Nine hundreds is six overs, so there was
a little bit of an underwhelming day out there in
Major League Baseball. And if you're taking a look at
the road teams, they went ten to five yesterday as well,
so they were absolutely killing it on the money line.
And season to eight, road teams are hitting at fifty

(13:39):
four point two percent one thirty five and one fourteen
in favors. They're unning at a fifty eight percent clip
one forty three and one oh three on the money line.
But as we saw the Dodgers, if you're laying all
that juice, you're not breaking a profit right now. Meanwhile,
in terms of the totals this season, forty nine percent
of games have gone under fifty one percent to the
over one or twenty three over to one or eighteen
hunders in in case you're wondering, games have not went

(14:00):
to x R dings one are in seven overs to
one or in six hundreds. So that's what we're seeing
a baseball right now. And that's what we all got
on Monday. And let's say you can look at the
Tuesday card and some of the surprises of the early season.
Next with Christian He does great workover at wtop Sports
well at the USA. Today he joins me next on
The Baseball Betting Show with myself Greg Peterson, now a
part of the v six Family.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Podcast, breaking down every game every day in Major League Baseball.
This is the Baseball Betting Show. Here is your host,
Greg Peterson.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
Remember back here, love you Las Vegas for the Baseball
Betting Show with myself Greg Peterson now part of the
Vson Family podcast. And it is great to be joined
by this man as Christian. He does great workover at
WTOP Sports. I know you're able to catch his articles,
whether it be hockey, baseball, you name it, he does
it over at USA Today. He does an amazing job.
Take a look at this great game of baseball that

(14:53):
we all.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
Know and love.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Out there in the DC area. You're able to catch
him on Twitter. Side checks at the Big Chi show
that is C on Chi before a show and Chris.
It is always a pleasure, my friend. Thank you so much, Greg,
Such a pleasure to be joining you.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Yeah, when I first started covering baseball over a decade ago,
the Washington Nationals were the hot team here in the
DMV as they were coming about and eventually did end
up winning that World Series in twenty nineteen. But right
now here where I live in Maryland, it's all about
the Orioles and they had themselves a big time win.
On Sunday, Colton Cows are getting it done, and yeah,

(15:29):
we'll see how they do against a Twins bunch that
you and I I know talked about on the Vsent
program that has just been abysmal, to say the least
at the plate.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
Yeah, they certainly have been abysmal to say the least.
And in terms of the Orioles versus Twins game, as
a hot team out there is Baltimore.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
I do think that this.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
One is going to be very interesting as we've got
Grayson and Rodriguez on the bump for Baltimore against Chris
Paddock for Minnesota. And I take a look at this
game with the Orioles being about minus one sixty one sixty.

Speaker 5 (15:57):
Five, I think that that number is relatively correct.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
I think Baltimore should be able to get the job done.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
But I do take a look at the total of
eight and a half and I'm not sure what you're
feeling about this game, but I'm looking at this one
and I think that Grayson Rodriguez just continues to do
what he does, and I've honestly like what I'm seeing
out of Chris Paddock as well. This is a game
where I do like a little bit of an under.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
Yeah, I think maybe if you were looking at an over,
it's because you're factoring in the weather and it is
warm here now and the ball could be flying out.
But I still am always going to trust in this
Baltimore bullpen more often times than not. I know they
don't have the mountain Felix Bautista this year.

Speaker 5 (16:34):
And you near Cano.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
I mean, I watched him in the Sunday of the
Women's National Championship game alongside and I'm watching you near Cano,
and I'm like, man, those pitches are not totally dropping
off the table like they did last year, or just
enough tape is out now, but still.

Speaker 5 (16:49):
Grayson Rodriguez, this is a guy.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
We saw him shut down the Angels to start the season,
one run, six innings pitched.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
You know, Taylor Ward hit a home run off of them. Whatever.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
You and I have talked about his success last season
in the second half of the season two five eight era.

Speaker 5 (17:04):
Only Kyle Bradish, who has hurt, had a better ERA there.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
So yeah, I would certainly take a look at the
Orioles in this spot. And if you're looking at an
under yeah, I don't necessarily see a path.

Speaker 5 (17:16):
Where the Twins are gonna be scoring a lot of runs.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
I looked at the numbers and Ryan Jeffers and Alex
Kiirlov were the only two guys entering Monday with a
batting average over two hundred.

Speaker 5 (17:26):
I mean, feels like every year the start of the season, it's.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
Like, oh, the baseballs are flying out or Kellen Janson's
point out this year that he's having a hard time
gripping it.

Speaker 5 (17:33):
But there are some overs.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
But then some of these teams here, like the Twins,
when you lose Corea, you lose Royce Lewis, you have
Byron Bucks did not hitting. Just where is the offensive
production gonna come from? And when your bullpen's breaking down?
Like are we gonna see Griffin Jackson a bat outing again?

Speaker 5 (17:50):
But yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
Certainly see where you're at with the younger just because
I think Grayson Rodriguez is gonna have no problem with
this Twins lineup.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Yeah, Grayson Rodriguez fifteen straight starts dating back to the
twenty and twe three season in which he's given up
three and runs for fewer. Guy has been absolutely dealing.
So that is certainly someone that I'm gonna be willing
to bank on. And to your point about home runs
on a private basis, has actually been down this past
season rather than up. So I certainly don't think that
there's been any tampering with the baseball or anything like that.

(18:17):
Just a lot of guys in general giving up contact
and that has been leading to a lot of runs
in these games. That's Christianity does great work over at
Wtop Sports. He is showing to me right here on
the Baseball Betting Show. And a team of intrigue as
well as a team for my neck of the ones,
the Milwaukee Brewers. They actually entered into Monday the top
scoring team in all of baseball, but now they are

(18:38):
home underdogs against Dylan Ceas in the San Diego Padres
with Wade Miley on the mound and total of eight
and a half. How do you take a look at
this sort of a game, because we've been noticing these
high stakeout guys like Dylan Sees. Yes, they're able to
get strikeouts, but these are guys I think get a
little bit overvalued in the market. And we were just
talking about the bullpen woes. If Dylan Seas gives up
a lot of watchhacks up his pitch count, I think

(18:58):
that that could spell doomsday for the Potters.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
Really like the Brewers in this spot, second youngest roster
in Major League Baseball, a mix of veteran presence guys
like Willia Domas, but Pat Murphy has talked about instilling
confidence in some of his pitchers as well too, as
well as some of the hitters. And I like Bryce Terrag,
I know, he just had himself a three hit day recently.

(19:22):
So to me, this is a Brewers squad that I
would be looking to back, and they look like they have.
You know, when you take two of three from Baltimore
going into Camden Yards and you score eleven runs twice,
that's impressive. I mean, and even against Corbyn Burns. Corbyn
Burns basically was you know, outstanding in his beginning couple
of starts and to me still had that cutter working.

Speaker 5 (19:45):
But the Brewers were able to work counts.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
I mean, you can get to any great picture if
you're able to foul enough stuff off and get them
into three and one counts.

Speaker 5 (19:54):
And that's ultimately what the Brewers did. The Orioles just
outlasted them on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
Based on again Colton Kowser second shortest odds to win
the AL Rookie of the Year I saw on Monday morning.
So this is a Brewers bunch that has just been
taking care of business. Started off the year, I was
losing money because I was betting the Mets against the
Brewers to start the season and I was on the
wrong end of that one. I mean, I don't know

(20:21):
how deep they go this year. I mean, I've always
been a Freddie Perolta guy. But we'll see, you know,
their bullpen. They lost some pieces obviously with Hater, but
they've been sustainable for years past. So I would like
the Brewers in this spot, and I'm interested to see
kind of how they play the rest of the season. Yeah, Like,
is Pittsburgh really a team that's gonna be sustainable in
this division? I was diving to some of the numbers

(20:42):
with Jared Jones today, like, yes, he's got good stuff,
but he's given up a lot of home runs. He's
not giving up a lot of hard contact. So I
don't really know where to go with the Pirates yet. So, yeah,
it's gonna be a fun group with this Brewers team
to watch. I know that you watch them quite closely,
being that the year from Wisconsin and Dan press him
so far, no doubt.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Yeah, I was not expecting what we see now, these
young guys and Christian Yelich looking like the Christian Yelich
of old. He was in a hiatus last few years
with the Guards. To its production has certainly been producing
this year, So that has been good to see and
it's always good to see Chris Chian on this show
right here on the Baseball Betting Show. And just in
terms of surprises for this season thus far.

Speaker 4 (21:20):
No doubt about it.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
For me, the Milwaukee Riverers of their offense is towards
the top of the list. But whether it be to
the positive or to the negative, whether it be a
team or maybe a few players, what has really stood
out to you for the first two and a half
weeks of the season that maybe you weren't expecting.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
I was not expecting Toronto to have lad Guerrero Junior
hitting around two hundred. I mean, Toronto's got the names,
but Kevin Gossman's not necessarily performing well to start the
season here. I mean George Springer, you like to have
him as an a leadoff guy, but you know it's
just an older group now with this team, and Bishet's

(21:55):
not having that strong a season. I mean, Alejandro Kirk
has been at disappointment since the Star last year. Kevin Kiermeyer,
I mean, talk about a guy. I understand you acquire
him to play defense, but when he comes to play,
you basically know he's gonna be an automatic gout, and yeah,
they just I don't know if Jose Barr Hills and

(22:16):
this staff is going to be able to take them
very far. So disappointed with the Blue Jays. The Tampa
Bay Rays. Look, they played great moneyball, I just don't
know that they're deep enough either to really make any
sort of a run this season. I mean, Zach Efflin's
a strong starter. They've just dealt with so many injuries
over the years. I mean Ras Musten and Shane Bose,

(22:37):
I mean, how much can they really handle? Like YONDI
Diez is a tank, but he doesn't really like hit
for power.

Speaker 5 (22:44):
I just don't know that the Rays have enough.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
And they don't have any sort of home field advantage,
whether you think that's any like consolation or any big
time thing or not in Major League Baseball. To be home,
I mean the bottom of the inning obviously, but like
the fans don't really show up there.

Speaker 5 (22:56):
I've been there numerous times. I think the Trop's great.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
I know I'm not an island when I say that
they don't really have the whole field advantage. So I
would say the Rays in Blue Jays both being disappointing
and then watching the Guardians on Sunday and then on
Patriots Day against the Red Sox.

Speaker 5 (23:10):
Red Sox only have what like three hits. They're a
deep team.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
I mean they can overcome a guy like Andre Jamenez
going over four on Monday because the Nailor Bros mash
and you know, they're getting good performances out of like
a turry.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
To Monday pitching. Well, so I'm surprised with how well
the Guardians have been.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
I guess yeah, I've been surprised by that as well.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
You knew that with the Cleveland Guardians they'd be able
to move the line a little bit in terms of
just raw contact, but they're doing a better job of
being able to go yard this season. With the Naylor Brothers,
Jose Ramirez is able to give you some good production
and that bullpen is just so gosh yarn deep.

Speaker 4 (23:45):
So I'm right there with you.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
And those are a few good teams that I've really
been standing out to me thus far this season. And
I'm so glad that you mentioned the Tampa Bay Rays
as well, because one pitcher that I always get a
little bit conflicted by is Aaron Sabali, and he is
going to be on the bump on Tuesday against the
ol Angel has about about a minus one forty five
to one fifty five favorite total of eight. I'm not
sure how you read Aaron Savali, but it feels like
every single year his ERA is either a point higher

(24:09):
or a point lower than his fielding in dependent he
never gets the desired result, the result that he should.
He's either super lucky or he's super unlucky going up
against someone injse Storrian, who began the season in the
La Angels bullpen, and I just don't know if I'm
willing to trust in a guy like that with an
LA Angels bullpend. That to say that its suspect would
be very polite.

Speaker 6 (24:29):
Yeah, and Savale hasn't pitched a whole lot of games
at the Trump, but I know at least before the
start he was making a couple of starts to go
against the Rangers going into that one, because I wrote
about the game for USA today.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
He had nearly a six ERA five, A three or
eight in six career games at the Trump. But he
can be effective, like when he took on the Blue
Jays this year, only allowed a couple of singles, did
give up a solo home run got off to a
good start this year. So to me, and I'm looking
at Aaron Savali, the Rais is a weird ballpark. I've
heard different pitchers over the years give interviews on MLB

(25:06):
Network and whatnot and talk about how sometimes hitters have
a difficult time seeing the pitches with that weird dome
there in the troup, or sometimes the pitchers themselves don't
necessarily have a great feel forward in there. So maybe
that's the case with Savali. When we're talking about this
Angels group. Maybe Anthony Rendon has heard enough of the

(25:27):
comments about how he's washed up, and I mean he
set himself up for it basically talking about how in
the offseason he wasn't passionate about the game and whatever
he said just not a great look. If you feel
that way, fine, just keep it yourself, in my opinion,
But you know, the Angels themselves offensively, are they going
to be strong enough to slug it out with this
raised team?

Speaker 5 (25:46):
I'm not really thinking.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
So I still really like Tampa probably in this spot
if I'm going to be betting this game. Randy Rosarina
is still obviously a big time threat. No Brandon Lowness lineup,
but that could maybe be auditioned by subtraction because.

Speaker 5 (25:58):
He's just not somebody.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
I watched him in the tool for Tampa and I'm like,
this is your two hitter, Brandon Lao and he's dealing
with the back injury now, and you know, East Soak
Paradis is somebody I would prefer to be and Harold Vermiroz.
Those guys are like I know that they can at
least match the baseball. So yeah, ultimately, I think I
would be liking the Tampa Bay raising spot. It'll be
juicy on the money line, so I'll have to try
to figure out a way to maybe reduce that.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
Yeah, absolutely, that might need to be a run the
line play because the la Angels with that bullpen, they
can give up runs up plenty. Though as we know,
it's been a little bit dicey this far the season
with this race team on offense as well, and Chris,
we do have ourselves a nice slate for this Tuesday,
all thirty teams are in action, and just want to
get a thought from you as to a few games

(26:41):
that you're going to be taking a look at, whether
it be games that you're going to be betting on
or just in general game that you want to see
a little bit more from, because you don't know whether
to make cats your tails out of a team or
a pitcher.

Speaker 3 (26:50):
So I the big CHI Baseball bet of the day
that I do for WTP, I have picked already the
New York Metropolitan tends to get it done against the
Pittsburgh Pirates. It does make me a little bit nervous
to do so again, given that I think Jared Jones
has been a solid starter. But if you're taking a
look at hard contact rates, so far, out of seventy

(27:13):
nine pitchers entering Monday qualified, he has the second highest
hard hit rate behind Dane Dunning, So I think that
the Mets bats can get to him. Pie Alonso, he's streaky,
but with six home runs at least entering Monday, this
certainly could be a spot where he tees off against
Pittsburgh and Jose Cantana I think can pitch effectively enough

(27:34):
against this Pittsburgh group. Look, they've been a nice story.
I guess Andrew McCutcheon hitting three hundred home runs, but
ultimately it's not a lineup that I look at and
that I fear tremendously. I mean Brian Reynolds, he's okay,
he's got the big contract now.

Speaker 5 (27:49):
So I would say that, Yeah, I like the Mets
in this spot.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
Here Brandon Nimo delivers at the plate as well too,
and you have McNeil kind of starting to heat up.
So certainly like the Mets there in that spot on Tuesday, Atlanta.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
I think you.

Speaker 5 (28:03):
Highlighted this, Greg, I was listening to your program.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
I really loved Hunter Brown from the astro, so it's
like I almost didn't want to hear it and believe it.
And then his last outing he absolutely got torched. And
he's still going out there against the Atlanta Braves. I
mean Raynond, the Lopez ha been prestodist start the year.

Speaker 5 (28:19):
What am I missing?

Speaker 3 (28:20):
And Atlanta, I'm seeing, you know, at least on Monday
Night is at a decent price money line wise, So yeah,
I would love Atlanta in this spot, considering brown struggles
and Houston struggles as a whole to start the season,
I'm always gonna like Atlanta more often times than not
against any other team, given how strong their lineup is.
And then if I'm going to be including a third
team and like maybe a money line parlay situation, it's

(28:41):
definitely got to be the o's just given how I mean,
they got to like figure out how they're gonna get
some of these guys regular playing time.

Speaker 5 (28:48):
You know, like a guy like Ramona or Urriest.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
He's hitting sub two hundred, But is that because he
like basically knows every at bad he comes to the plate.
You know, it's like, if I screw up here, one
of these young guys are gonna be taking my spot,
and because he was a hitter for them last year.
But basically my point is, and you've highlighted this so
many times, just some greater than the whole parts or
however that phrase goes greater than the some of it's
part here. Thank you for helping me out. That's Baltimore

(29:11):
still the case, so I like them to win. Those
three teams are the ones that I'm really looking at
on the Tuesday slate as of right now.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
I think all three are relatively solid looks as well.
I agree with you on that front and always have
to love those whole it's greater than the some of
its parts teams. And you do make this show hold
when you join me, Chris, you do an amazing job
over at WTOP Sports. On top of that, I know
you're doing absolutely excellent work taking a look at this
great game that we all know in love, along hockey

media to other platforms.

Speaker 3 (29:45):
Yes, the big cheat Baseball bet of the Day comes
out Tuesdays and Fridays at one of three point five
WTOP in Washington, d C. And USA today. I'm writing
for them basically every day. With the NHL playoffs upon
us and with Major League Baseball in full swing, with
the weather heating up, hopefully the baseball start flying out here.

(30:06):
More so too, because I like to see the offense
and a pitcher's dual tool every now and then.

Speaker 5 (30:10):
So yeah, it's been.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Great with baseball, great with hockey, and great joining you Greg.

Speaker 4 (30:14):

If a game is listed on the betting board.

Speaker 3 (31:27):
Greg has a side and the total on it, so
it is time to touch them all.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
Do you know that as per usual, any changes that
are made to these plays will be listed up on
my Twitter slash xs feed at genet underscoredy one and
you're going to be going in Las Vegas rotation or
this is where we go with the nationallygue games first,
then the American League games, any inter league games, those
are going to be at the bottom. And then the
order with the nationalague games, interro league games. What have
you is time orders so keeps things very nice, neat,

(31:52):
clean and easy. So without further ado, let's dive in
on this first game of nine fifty one fifty two
On the card, it is the San Francisco Giants on
the road facing up against see Miami Marlins. Ryan Weathers
goose for the Fish and Jordan Nicks is on the
bump for the Giants. Giants are between minus one thirty
two to minus one forty favorites. Between plus twenty eighteen
to plus one twenty two is your number on Miami
eight A half to eight is a total on the

(32:13):
eight over his mins one fifteen unders minus one of
five on the eight and a half unders minus one twenty
and the over that is even money. And with Ryan Weathers,
he's been actually relatively solid year for the Miami Marlins.
Had a nice bring training.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
First start out.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
I forget if that was against the La Angels or
the other team that they played very early on got shelled,
but pass that has been Rocks all. It has helped
engineer one of the wins for the team when they
took on the New York Yankees. And I do like
the way that he's progressed. Was looking like a little
bit of a bus early on throughout his career. He's
gotten his swinging this stuff up a little bit. Now.
You do fear the eight walks in his fourteen innings

(32:48):
as far this season, but you know what, holding down
the fort Meanwhile, Jordan Nix has really looked good as
a starter. He's not getting as many strikeouts as he
once did, but man three walks in eighteen innings, has
went really good length, going six plus innings in each
of his last two starts. Big for San Francisco Giants
bullpen that has been scuffling recently. They are in the
bottom ten in the Big leagues with regards to the
Bullpenny ran, a lot of the guys that were so

(33:10):
rock solid last season, either they're injured or they're deal
with injuries. You saw Rodgers squared and Taylor and Tyler Rodgers.
You've been able to get Logan Robb to be able
to give you some good innings, but gonna be without
Camilleia to fall after he threw north of twenty five
pitches yesterday. But it's still is much better than the
Miami Marlins bullpen is. For the Marlins bullpen, they have
lost a lot of pieces from past years and they're

(33:30):
just not great in general. They should have maintained guys
like Steven o'curdin company. You've had Calvin Fotcher come in.
He's someone that I do like for the sam and
Brian Hoyning has actually been your best relief piece among
guys that have seen like north of five innings thus
far the season. But like some men injuries Burt Smith
six to Sanchez Andrew Nardi, they have been absolutely terrible.
And for the Miami Marlins soal. They've got Jake Berger

(33:51):
deal with an injury and that's really their main form
of power this Miami Marlin's seen in the bottom five
in the big leagues with reguards to runs per game.
Nick Flash Gordon has been able to give you three
home runs. But that said, this team, they just have
a few guys that move the line, like Tim Anderson,
by Day, La Cruz, Luis Rice. There are all three
of them are ritting at least a two to seventy.
You've got one other player that is active in this

(34:13):
roster as hitting above a two four team that is
just absolutely terrible. And for the San Francisco Giants, yeah,
they've had their issues, but that said, they're averaging nearly
about five point two runs per game away from home,
like Ocamforto is sitting nearly a three hundred and four
on runs the start of the season. They star out
of Matchampman, dude, need to do a better job of
getting on base. Let's end at two to fifty on base,
but three on runs out of both of them. Ord
Hilaire has been able to give you three bumps. You've

(34:35):
been able to have Lamontway Junior be able to move line.
So at the very least for the Giants, they've got
some options. I at the Platen, I do think that
for Ryan Weathers, he turns a relatively good start, but
I do think that the bullpen completely blows it on
him and Miami just not producing a lot of runs
in general. So did somebody to other eight point two
and and eight and a half Looking at the under
max was one away with the Giants is minus one
thirty two.

Speaker 4 (34:53):
We are just there.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
So looking at the Giants money line and the under
nine fifty three nine fifty four on the betting board,
it is the color Rockies on the road facing gob
against the Philadelphia Phillies angers. What is on the bump
for the Phils in Austin Gamber hopes and not get
gombered up for the Rockies, and Rockies are massive underdogs
any rout team plus one ninety five plus two o
six at any between minus two twenty eight and minus

(35:15):
two forty. That number on the Phills eight and a
half is a total hundreds between minus one ten to
a minus twenty. The overs between even m minus one
ten for that Phillies one line find that between minus
one ten to one minus one fifteen would be one
to lay up to a minus one fifteen. So my
number at a minus one seventeen ragers four US. Actually
was not so great at home last season north of
a five VRA, but he has looked much better in

(35:35):
his home starts recently, and his swing he missed uff
this far of the season has been up a little bit.
Nineteen strikeouts since seventeen innings he's reduced to walks. It
just looks like he's found a little bit of a
different approach as a pitcher in general, and he's been
getting better and better with every start. So I like
seeing that. And rosson Gomber. He on the road has
been a little bit of a nightmare north of a
five ERA last season when he was away from homents,

(35:56):
giving up three on runs in fourteen and two thirds innings. Honestly,
as he starts have not been bad. I combined four
runs surroundered in ten innings against the Diamondbacks on the race.
He'll take that if you're the Colrad Rockies, because there's
really nobody else on the roster that can pitch. Victor
Vadnick is right now, you're top guy out there in
the bullpen. Tather Kinley's not too bad either, but justin Lawrence,
Jake Bird, Jalen Beaks, these guys just are not holding

(36:18):
down the Ford end for the Colrad Rockies, You're just
not getting a lot out of this team away from
home in terms of just moving the line, getting on base.
Because at home, this is a Rockies team that last
season averaged about five point three five runs per game,
more like three point six five away from home, with
a batting average dip of about forty points. I fully
expect the same this season. On the road, Ryan mcmanon

(36:39):
has been great. He's been able to sply the team
with a four to forty on base Charlie Blackman has
moved the line. He's been able to give you about
a three to twenty three average. But I said, it's
a Rockies team that you've currently got seven home runs
and ten road games as far this season, and got
a lot of guys have been scuffling as well, like
having a about a two hundred batting average out of
Nolan Jones. Meanwhile, for the Philadelphiael they've had some struggles

(37:01):
as well. You need to be getting a little bit
more out of the likes of Bryce Harper, who is
hitting right around the middule's line of about a two hundred.
Other than that three on Roue game. He has literally
done nothing. You've got Brandon Marsh, Kyle Schwarber supplied three
or four home runs a peace. Schwarber is starting to
move the line a little bit. Brandon Marsh, He's giving
you about a two ninety average in Trey Turner has
been able to bust out and be able to get
on base for the team. Need a little bit more

(37:22):
of the likes of al Bahum Cassianos you on Ross.
These guys are just not giving you a lot now.
Ross is out there for his glove, is not out
there for his bat. But would like to see them
be able to pick it up a little bit. And
for the Philadelphia Phillies, the bullpen got off to a
bit of a rough search of the season. We've seen
that quite a bit from the Philadelphia Phillies. But I
do think that Sir Anthony Demnez, Jose Alvarado they're going

(37:42):
to start to pick it up. Gregory Sota has been
relatively solid that bullpen thus far this season. And another
guy that I really like for this team. How about
what Unior Marte has been able to do. He's been
pretty locked down, pretty solid for the team. So I
do think that the Rockies are going to be in
for a very very long year. I do think that
the Phillies are going to be able to get to
goamber and it's rough bullpen. I did sell my total
at an eight point eight, and I'm going to lay
the run line with the Philadelphia Philly. So looking at

(38:03):
this eight and a half over, and I'm gonna be
looking at the Phillies run line nine fifty five, nine
fifty six. On the bank board, it is the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Say walk the plank at the road to face off
against the New York Mets, says Oakitana is on the
bump for the Mets. Jared Jones is on the bump
for the Pirates. Not sure why this game is off
the board. I thought it was pretty known that Jones
was going to get the start. But nobody has a

(38:24):
number up for this game. But I've got miadicap anything
of a plus one thirty two or higher. I'm looking
at the buckos minus one thirty or less. I'll be
looking at the Mets and said I told that at
eight point one eight or less, I'm going to be
taking a look at the over eight and a half
or higher. The under for Osekitana last few seasons, he's
been very much a pitch of contact guy, and thus
far this season that is exactly what he's do. He
needs to work on the walks. He's given up eight

(38:45):
walks in fifteen to two thirds ends last season. He's
more around about two point nine walks Er nine and ennis,
but herd contact hasn't assily been too much of an
issue thus far. And for Jones, he has come up
from the miners and he has really gotten the strikeouts
twenty five punch outs in eighteen nine as far this season,
but he does miss location and when he makes those mistakes,
he gets hit pretty hard. He has given up a

(39:05):
pair of home runs in each of his last two starts.
Fortunately for him, he's been able to mitigate the damage.
Three runs are fierce Rudder in each of his first
three career starts, despite the fact that he has given
up four home runs in the time span. So that's
something to watch out for. And for Jones, he is
backed up. I relatively saw a bullpen or eldest Shaman
David Bennar. These guys are relatively solid, and when you
get Ryan Brookie back, it's going to be all the better,

(39:27):
like what I've seen out of Hunter Stratton, Ose Hernandez
and for the New York Mets, Edwin Diz is by
far the best closer in this game, but at the
same time being able to get there it's a little
bit of a venture. At amount of Vino Brooks Raley.
They're not great, They're not terrible, and that's a lot
of this bullpen. Outside of DS, it's not great, not terrible.
And for the New York Mets, the offense has been
all over the place. For this team, they will give

(39:49):
you like two runs one day, they'll give you eighth
the next. Pete a Lonzo has been amazing. He has
applied six home runs for the team. He's given you
about a three forty on base He's doing his part,
but right now got Jeff McNeil, Francisco Lindora, DJ Stewart
all hitting a two zero five or lower. Brandon Nimo
has happening giving you too much at the play though
the on base percent is still not bad and the
Mets have been one of the best teams of being
able to draw walks as far as the season, but

(40:11):
they're not giving you a lot in terms of walloping power.
And just putting the ball and play in general. Meanwhile,
for the Pittsburgh Pirates, it's been an inconsistent team here.
Over the last few days. For the Pirates, they have
scored three runs for fear and now two out of
their last three games and in four out of their
last seven. But for the Pirates, I do think that
they're going to be able to get some nice consistent
production on Brian Reynolds sees their main constant three fifty

(40:32):
five on base pair of home runs that's far this season.
It's the guys like On'el Cruz, Jacks Winisky, Henry Davis.
Can these guys be consistent because you've got a lot
of star power there, But at the same time, are
these guys going to for a one hour sixty two
game season, be able to in the day out be
able to give you a nice good effort. I do
think that for the Pirates, they're going to be able
to get a relatively solid start out of Jones. But

(40:53):
I do have my question mark still with the Bats,
even though at al Veris has been looking very good
recently for this team. But like the form that the
Mets are in recently, and I do think that for
the Pirates. They might be starting to strump jell us
a little bit with regards to the Bats, and I
think that they might have a tough time with a
picture of contact Guy in Kitana. So I'm gonna be
one lay up to minus one thirty with the Mets
plus one thirty two or higher. Looking at the Buckos
and then it or less, I'm on the over eight

(41:14):
a half or higher the under nine fifty seven, nine
to fifty eight on the bank board. It is the
San Diego Patres on the road facing up against the
Milwaukee Burs. Don't see scows for the Potters, and wayde
Miley hopes to have a party out in Milwaukee for
the Brewers, and the Burs are an underdog between plus
one oh five plus one thirteen any more between minus
one twenty to minus one twenty five. That price on
the Potters eight and a half is a total over

(41:34):
and Underbolt at minus one ten needed anything north of
plus one ten to be able to take a shot
on the Brewers plus one twelve or higher. Was willing
to take an opportunity, and seeing the plus one thirteen
that I've got at circa, I'm gonna be on the
Birds on the money line. Wade Miley very much a
picture contact guy, and I do think that there's gonna
be a regression coming for Wade Miley. Last year he
posted up a er of a three fourteen of the

(41:56):
fielding and pen that was starting near a point a
half higher. He was given up darn near about two
point eight two point nine walks per nine and ennings,
got no strikeouts at all, and he was very fortunate
on balls and play. Meanwhile, don't sees he does an
amazing job and'll be able to get swings and misses.
These are two polar opposite pitchers. For Cease last few seasons,
he's been registering about eleven punchouts per nine and ennings.
But when he was over with the Chicago White Sox

(42:18):
last few seasons was giving up about four walks per
nine ennings and as far this season, through three starts,
sixteen and two thirds innings, has given up six walks.
I do think that that could be the undoing of
the San Diego padres Hey Padre's unit, that they are
in the bottom twelve in the Big leagues in terms
of bullpen. The ara he've had unyell data Sentenz one
Baralta be relatively.

Speaker 4 (42:37):
Soft for the seam.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
Both of these guys and some three five eras and
offseason pickups as they lost Josh Hater in the offseason.
Stephen Coolik At someone I'd like in this bullpen as well,
Wan avoid Johnny Burrito and after last year, Tom Kouscro
was amazing in this bullpen. Not quite the same results
as far this season. Meanwhile, for the Milwaukee Brewers, you've
got Joe Piams, Elvis Piguero, Ebner Uribe in the back
half of games, very very good to say the least.

(42:59):
Jered ConA is someone that they're giving a little bit
of a shot to as well. Brian Hudson has been
able to hold it down. Really like this Birs bullpen.
I think that they're a top five bullpen in the
big leagues, and going into Bunday, the Brewers were actually
your number one team in all Baseball in terms of
run score. Do I think that there's gonna be regression? Absolutely?
Do I think that I probably undervalued the Brewers lineup
coming into the season, also, absolutely, But for the Milwaukee Burs,

(43:22):
it's been incredible what we've seen out of Christian Yealoch.
He looks like the Christian Yealich of old. Five plus
home runs. He did get a little bit of a
day off yesterday, so do want to be mindful of that.
But William Damas, Seal Freeleg Bryce Terrang, Blake Perkins, all
these guys are hitting north of a two ninety right now.
And then you've got Joey Ortiz who's been able to
give you some nice results as well. Jackson Charillo, he's

(43:43):
gonna be able to pick it up sooner rather than later.
And for the Padres, you've got Austung Kim who has
been a little bit of a disappointment as far this
season after a nice year last year. But if you
have many Machado, Fernando Tattie Junior in the middle of
the lineup be able to supply some boom. Machado after
a little bit of rough start to the season, he's
starting to get on base of life. Litle bit more Tattie
shoo in your four plus home runs out of him.
But Sander Bogerts just stop living up to that contract

(44:04):
right now. Hasn't provided a lot of pop this season,
inning just a two to ten. Jackson Merril, though he
has been tremendous as a rookie. I do take a
look at this ordio, and I do think that the
pottery should be the slightest of slight favorites. But I
just have the fear that Dylant sees issues too many walks.
The birers jump on that pottery's bullpen and find a
way to be able to get the job done. So
getting plus one twelve or higher going to be Taking
a look at the brus on the money line, and

(44:25):
did somebody toil it at eight point sixty here at
the E and AF. I also like the over nine
to fifty nine nine sixty on the betting board of
the years. In a Diamondbacks play to see Chicago Cubs,
Kyle Hendrix, the Professor is on the bump for the
Cubs and Tommy Henry is on the bump for the Diamondbacks.
Ten is a total over and under anywhere between minus
one of five minus one fifteen. We opened up at
nine and a half, by the way, and with the
snakes there between minus one eighteen minus one twenty five

(44:47):
and between plus one oh five plus one. Ten is
your number on the Cubs. And this is an ordeo
where I'm gonna be taking a look at the under.
I saw might tot it at nine point eight. Personally,
I would have rather had a nine and a half
over rather than a ten under.

Speaker 4 (44:58):
But it's a ten is just getting up a little
bit too lofty.

Speaker 2 (45:02):
Because while Kyle HENDRICKX has been terrible the north of
a ten era, north of an a fielding independent, he
was quite lucky on balls in play seas ago, he's
not as bad as he's shown to be thus far
this season. He's given up five home runs in twelve
and two thirds sendings, and well, I thought that there
was gonna be a regression from last year.

Speaker 4 (45:17):
This is just a little bit unreal.

Speaker 2 (45:19):
And for the Years and the Diamondbacks, it's been impressive
what they've done on offense. As far as the season,
the top eight team with reguards are run scored, and
you've right now got a pair of guys have been
able to do a nice job with the tree of
home runs. Kital Marte of the Barte Parte, Christian Walker,
both of these guys supplying north of a three forty
five on base and Lord of Scolia Yell is up
to four bobs about a three fifty on Bees and Euhenosuez.

(45:40):
He's been able to give you a little bit of
pop as well, and he's doing a better job of
getting on base and he did with Seattle and in
Cincinnati in recent years. And they're dealing with this with
Corby and Carroll not assily giving you a lot of
guys like Blaise Alexander and company have been good. And
for the Chicago Cubs, they've got nice righty lefty platoons.
Was the team is doing it at all angles. And
Michael Bush is now hit a home run in five

(46:00):
straight games. He's up to six on the campaign, anting
above a threer, and that's been big. With Cody Bellinger
and an almighty funk, he's been able to supply this
team with a pair of home runs. But hitting below
the nose line of a two hundred, you've got ian Ab,
Chris Formerrell, Dansby Swans and alling in between about a
two thirty five to two forty five. You know that
these guys are gonna be able to pick it up
a little bit. Garrey Cooper is someone that I have
some nice expectations for as well, but they don't have

(46:22):
a lot of expectations for this Cub's bullpen is It's
not been a good year for Ose Cross after he
was so good last season. Nancy Almonte and Bear Elise
Lay these guys are okay, not great, not terrible, and
if you need a long guy.

Speaker 4 (46:34):
Keigan Thompson I think is very good.

Speaker 2 (46:36):
Meanwhile, for the Years and A Diamondbacks, Luis free Es,
Miguel Castro, He's are not trustworthy guys out there in
the bullpen, but Scott McGough was one of the more
unlucky relievers last season. Kyle Nelson is someone I do like,
and I do think that Tommy Henry gonna lend an
okay stardier. His fielding independent for his career is about
a half a point higher than his actual era. He's
been able up his swinging mis stuff thus far this season,

(46:56):
though first two years at the big league level was
only getting about six a half to some tounchouts. He
has gotten fifteen strikeouts in his first fourteen innnings thus
far this season. I do think that he's going to
be able to do a nice job, be able to
hold the Cubs down just enough for the Diamondbacks to
be able to get the job done. And at this point,
I do think that Kyle Hendricks is in bad form,
but I do think the positivity coming for both of
these pictures. I did some line out of minus one

(47:17):
thirty nine. I'm willing to take the Diamondbacks on the
wing line and here to ten is going to be
going under nine to sixty one nine sixty two on
the car. You've got the Washington Nationals on the road
facing off against the LA Dodgers. It is old to
be determined on the bump for the Dodgers. Patrick Corbin
is going to be on the bump for the Washington Nationals.
This is a spot where you have to expect Ryan
Yarborough to be the bulk. Eye might not be the

(47:38):
actual starter, but he's going to be seeing a lot
of the innings here. And I do think that it's
going to be very important to see whether or not
Ryan Yarborough is the starter or if he's going to
be the opener. And it does cause for about a
fifteen or so cent difference if he is going to
be the truth starter. I set this line up more
round about a minus two twenty would be willing to
lay up about a minus one twenty five or so
on that Dodgers ron line. Meanwhile, he is actually coming

(48:01):
out of the bullpen, I'd be a little bit more
comfortable going up to about a minus two forty five
or so somewhere in that neighborhood. As with Ryan Yarbrough,
if you look at him throughout his career, he just
has been a different pitcher when he's come out of
the bullpen rather than as a starter. As a starter
four seventy four era, his home runs per nine raight
relatively similar to that coming out of the bullpen, but
he just doesn't do the same amount of job of

(48:23):
being able to induce self contact in general. Meanwhile, coming
out of the bullpen, the eer actually drops to a
three eighty six, So I do think that that is
actually of great importance. Here, just feels like he's a
little bit more comfortable in that role. And for the Dodgers,
who are looking a bounce back after the Adolesson savory
night as a north of minus three fifty favorite yesterday
going up against a Washington Nationals unit that they're not

(48:44):
the world's worst team of being able to move the
line and getting the ball in play right now, you've
got Jesse Winker Lewis carc Is cj.

Speaker 4 (48:51):
Abrams.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
These guys hitting above a three hunderd Rightley Adams, has
Man provide a little bit of something now Joey Gallo
and Eddie Rozzario where they picked up in the offseason,
add some pop. Well, you've been able to get the
pop out of Joey Yao three plus home runs, but
they are not providing any sort of on base whatsoever.
But oh no, it's been a relatively solid year for them.
You'd like to be seeing a little bit more to
someone like Layne Thomas. But for the Washington Nationals, they've

(49:12):
done a nice job being able to get on base.
Question is are they gonna be able to get that power?

Speaker 4 (49:15):
Meanwhile, for the.

Speaker 2 (49:16):
Washington Nationals, they also have to go up against a
Dodgers team that each other are tough four hitters entering
into yesterday hitting above with her and Freddi Freeman, Mookie
bet Showo Tawni, Will Smith, all these guys are probably
gonna hit twenty five plus home runs this season. And
for Betts and O'tawni, I'm thinking that these guys are
gonna be going off for thirty five plus pumps. But
the Dodgers bottom of the fold has not been too
great this season. Kevin Loox, James Oltman, Chris Taylor, Key

(49:39):
k Hernandez all inting at the Mendoza line or below that.
And this is a Dodgers team that doesn't have the
world's greatest bullpen. I like Kevin Phillips, but they're having
to pick up Nick Ermrro's off the scrap heep Ryan
Brazier are not looking the same as he did a
season ago. Meanwhile, for this Washington Nationals unit, it's not
an amazing bullpen of their own. I don't have a
lot of faith in Kyle Finn again. But that said,
Derek Wlah has been able to give you some good endings.

(50:00):
Jordan Weems is a guy that I'd like. Hunter Harvey
has been able to do a rock solid job as well.
And for Washington, we all know about Patrick Corbin at
this point. He's gotten earth of a five r A
and north of a five field independence since the beginning
of the twenty twenty three season. Doesn't give you a
lot of strikeouts, walks about three guys for nine nings.
He's going to give up his run. So if it
is indeed the yarbro versus Corbin and this is pretty

(50:21):
much going to be constant whether Yarbrow is the starter
or the bult guy nine and a half for less,
I'll be looking at the overten or higher to the
under end. With Yarbrough as a starter, about minus two
twenty eight on the manny mine, minus one twenty five
on the run line, closer to minus two forty five
ish on the money line, and on the run line
probably closer to about minus one thirty five, maybe even
minus one forty feet.

Speaker 4 (50:39):
Coming out of the bullpen.

Speaker 2 (50:40):
Meanwhile, for Corbin need at least a plus two thirty
to take him if Yarborough starts north of a plus
two forty five. If Yarbro is the bulk guy nine
sixty three, nine sixty four on the benning board, the
Detroit Tigers are going to be pointing us to the
Texas Rangers. Fifty five Saints of John Gray goes for
the Rangers in Casey Mies is on the bump for Detroit.
Detroit is anywhere between plus one oh two to plus
one seven underdogs. Any between minus one seventeeno minus one

(51:03):
twenty two is at number on a Texas eight is
a total over his minus one ten minus one twenty
two understanding between even a minus one ten and I'm
gonna be taking a look at the over did smitell
it at eight point six. Fully recognized that this Tigers
team has been in the bottom meet in the Big
Leagues with regards to a run creation. But I said,
with this Detroy Tiger's team, you've been having a lot
of guys that have been able to do a nice

(51:23):
job in the bullpen holding down the four Tigers just
couldn't win yesterday because they couldn't generate a sink and run.
But you look at else Lang, Andrew Chafin, Jason Foley,
all these guys are giving you really good endings. Joey
Wentz has become a nice bullpen piece for the team
as well. For Texas, they've been able to revamp the
bullpen after they were a bottom ten team in the
Big Leagues last season. It turns the bullpenny ray they

(51:43):
addressed by bringing in David Robertson Kirby Yates. They've been
more league gaverage as far this season. Hoseable clerk. He's
a little bit of a roll the dice, but can
give you some nice innings. And for Texas they've got
guys that are moving the line getting on base. The
power outside of a Doulascar Sea hasn't really been there
though they're actually happening less than a home run per
right now. You've got Corey Seeger, who I believe missed
the game yesterday. He's been dealing with just a few

(52:05):
aches and pains in general. Why Langford is he had
to go deep, but has been able to get on base,
and that's been the Rangers in general. Got a lot
of guys that have been able to move line. Josh
Smith is sitting at three arm Marcasimeon. He's doing a
good job moving the line. He's got a pair of
home runs thus far the season, but not as much
pop in general. Meanwhile, for the Detroit Tigers, Spencer Trokolsen
has not been great for the team as far this season.
And you just look up and down the boulevard for

(52:26):
this Detroit Tigers team, among their top five players in
terms of total at pats, none of them running above
At two twenty, Markanne has been able to give you
three home runs. He's able to give you an okay
on base percentage, but not really doing a great job
putting the ball and playing Hovey bias talk about away
some money. He's got a bucks sixty on base right now.
Jeo Rochelle has really been your main guy in terms
of being able to give you Averachie, Kerry, Carpenter, Man

(52:46):
Fierling owing above a two seventy five. They're playing muchly,
only three guys on the roster. They are hitting it well,
and I do think that for the Detroit Tigers are
gonna be able to get a little bit more out
of Casey Buys. You missed pretty much all of last
season due to injury, and he has missed up his
pitch mixes. He's been a little bit inconsistent with reguards
of being able to get swings and missus as far,
but I do think that's going to come back to him.
The command has been relatively solid as well. He has

(53:08):
been giving up a bit more contact this year, but
it's been a bit more soft contact.

Speaker 4 (53:12):
Meanwhile, for old John.

Speaker 2 (53:13):
Gray, his command has been off thus far this season.
Seven walks in twelve and a third innings. It's got
a field independent that's about half a point higher than
is four thirty eight ERA. He's been given up therough
at his career about one point three zero runs for
nine ennings. I think that that's going to be pretty
stable here, and I do fear that John Gray might
not be able to lend a lot of length five
innings or fewer in each out of his first restarts.
So at a plus one to seven or higher. Looking

(53:33):
at the Tigers on the money line and did something
total at eight point six. Casey Mice still coming back
from injury, so still a little bit questionable as to
what you're going to get there. So looking at the
over and the money line of the Detroit Tigers, now
you might degain to work right to pick nine sixty
five nine sixty six on the card, it is the
Minnesota Twins on the road facing on ovigency, Baltimore oils
good A. Sin Rodriguez is on the bump for Baltimore,
Chris Pattick is on the bump for Minnesota, and half

(53:55):
is a total. We were getting juice of minus one
ten on the under. It's moved to minus one twenty
overs even and with the Baltimore Orioles, they're going to
be getting them between minus one sixty to a minus
one seventy and between plus one forty two to a
plus one fifty one is your number on Minnesota, and
the right up here is going to be on the under.
I would say, try to get the eight and a
half if at all possible. And we're starting to see

(54:16):
that juice come back two more around about a minus
one fifteen to a minus one ten, So all the
better there, but right up is going to be on
the under. We've got a guy in Chris Paddock who
just hasn't made a lot of starts for Minnesota. He's
only made seven starts and a few relief appearances since
they picked them up towards the beginning part of the
twenty and twenty two campaign. But he when he has
gotten out there, has pussed up about a four to

(54:37):
twenty five yard but the fielding independent is more in
the neighborhood of three. He has been a little bit
unlucky on balls in play, giving up less than a
home run per nine innings. He's given up only about
two walks per nine and ennings as well in a
Minnesota uniform. And he was, if you remember, a very
hot up and coming prospect when he was there with
the San Diego Padres.

Speaker 4 (54:56):
He as a rookie was able to give you.

Speaker 2 (54:58):
Like ten strikecots per nine looked really really good, and
I do think that moving forward he's gonna have a
lot of just great starts in general for the Minnesota Twins. Meanwhile,
for Grayson Rodriguez, fifteen straight starts dating back to last season,
in which he has a lot of three earned runs
or fear for Baltimore, he had a terrible start to
the twenty twenty three season, got sent back down to
the minor leagues, and then ever since he has resurfaced

(55:20):
in these last fifteen starts to forty one yar a
fielding independent right round three with zero point six home
runs at two point four walks, bernine and nings. You've
got a Minnesota Twins team that as well entered into
the series averaging about three point five runs per game,
and they are dead last in the big leagues in
terms of atting average, hitting below the Mendoza line of
a jounner. They just have not been able to get
anything rolling whatsoever.

Speaker 4 (55:39):
Without Royce.

Speaker 2 (55:39):
Leist's team is just figuratively and literally powerless, and they're
gonna need these guys to be able to step up.
You've had Carlos Korea, honestly Dooe relatively saw a job
this far this season, but now I know that he's
been a little bit banging up as well. You've got
so many of these guys while Man wil Marco Byron Bucksing,
Christian Vasquez, Carlos Santana, Eduard Julian Maria, these guys are

(56:01):
only at two ten or lower. Juliane has been able
to give you four home runs, but that's not been great.
And for Baltimore, this is a top eight team in
the Big Leagues with reguards of runs per game, scoring
about five point four runs per game at home, but
actually everything more runs per game away from him. Now,
if you look at the lineup that you had yesterday
for the Baltimore Oils, he had five separate guys in
that lineup pitting at least a two ninety five. Cedric
Mowens has really been able to pick it up recently.

(56:21):
He's been able to supply four home runs. And Colton Calcer,
though he was a little bit cold yesterday, he's been
very solid for the scene. But how about Jordan Westburg,
He's been able to apply like three home runs. He's
done a nice job being able to find a way
on base. You've got Gunnar Anderson with four UIM runs
as well, But both of these bullpens are rock solid.
The Minnesota Twins entering into the series number one in
the league with regards of bullpenning Ray that fell a

(56:42):
little bit after the appearances yesterday, but I said, even
with you on Doroh on the folds, you've still got
a lot of guys locking you down. Oreelculla, Cody Funderberg, Griffin, Jacks,
Brock Stewart, these guys have all been great. Meanwhile, for
the Baltimore Oriols, you need you can know, you know
what you're gonna be able to get out of him.
Having Dylan Tate back has been big. I'd like Jacob
Webber is always a little bit of the role the ice.
But that said, they had to use Craig Kimberl. Yes, right,

(57:03):
so that's actually a little bit of a positive for
you as well in this spot. And I do think
that for Baltimore they're gonna get another nice start out
of Grayson Rodriguez. If you're looking at that run line
of Baltimore, by the way, you're finding that right around
about a plus one twenty five. I'm gonna be willing
to take that, as I did sell my mining line
out a minus one seventy seven, but was willing to
take about a plus one to five or higher on
that run line. I'll look to reduce the juice take

(57:24):
the Baltimore Oils on the run line. But that said
right up here, that is going to be on the
under semi total more around eighty seven point nine nine
sixty seven nine sixty eight on the bank board. The
Tampa Bay Rays playoffs the La Angels. Ose Sodiano is
on the bump for the Angels, Aaron Savali is on
the bump for Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay is a favorite
of any between minus one fifty to minus one sixty
seeing stray minus one forty seven as well. Total is

(57:44):
anywhere between eight and eight and a half on the eight,
the unders any between minus one ten to a minus
one fifteen, the overs any between minus one ten to
a minus one of five on the e and a
f unders minus one twenty and the overs even by
the way, for the Angels, you're able to get them
between plus one thirty and seeing his highs au plus
one forty five out there as well. With the Rays,
I set them at minus one sixty four on the
money line. If you're looking to lay a run and

(58:05):
a half with them, you're gonna be able to get
that at about a plus one forty and I'm gonna
be willing to lay the run and a half with
the race. Fully recognize that the Rays have been a
little bit of a mess this season, and they actually
entered into the day yesterday with the league's worst bull
Bennie or a. You know that it's going to be
a little bit better for the Tampa Bay Rays moving forward.
You've got so many reliable guys like Jason Adam, Pete Fairbanks,

(58:25):
Calm Bouchet that I do think they're gonna be able
to pick it up moving forward. In for the Tampa
Bay race. I feel that way about the lineup as well.
He talk paray As has been great five home runs,
three forty five on base and Jose Serie he's not
necessarily hitting home runs right now, but he's been able
to move the line much better than he did a
season ago. You got Ose Calibrado along with Amed Rosario.
We're both inning north of a two eighty five as well.

(58:47):
But it's Yandy Diaz, Randy A. Rose, Rain up both
in a below eight two to ten, both on providing
a lot of power that has been hurting the scene. Meanwhile,
you've got an La Angels team that is about as
top heavy as it gets in terms of their lineup,
as they put up that nice five spot in the
eighth end. But I do think that it's gonna be
hit or miss for this team a lot this season.
As Mike Trout Taylor Ward a combined thirteen home runs
between the two of them, they have been absolutely tremendous,

(59:09):
and other than Logan O Hoppy, I like what Logan
of Happy has made bring to the table. Everyone else
has not been able to do a lot. As a
matter of fact, guy's not named Trout along with Taylor
Ward for this team, I haven't combined five home runs
as far this season, so the dis parody is certainly there.
As you've got Joanel, Anthony Rendau, and Brandon Drury. All
these guys have been a little bit of a mess.

(59:30):
I will give Anthony Rendon a little bit of something here.
He's up to a two sixty three average. He has
actually been much better in the last few days. He's
still a big giant waste of money. He's still not
a guy that's living up to his contract, but at
the very least he's given you a little bit more recently.
But he still have a lot of guys at the
bottom fold that are dicey, to say the least. And
then you've got a lot of reclamation projects in this bullpen.
Hunter Strickland, Adam zimber Ose, c Sero, Carson Foemer, He's

(59:53):
are all guys that have their issues. While Carlos the
sevenths man more as the Batcafic games, these guys are
relatively solid. And for Aaron Savali, it just feels like
every single year he is ERA is either a point
higher or a point lower than his fielding independent. He
never actually gets the results that he should. Like last
season with the Cleveland Guardians, he had a sub tow
fifty ARRA, but his fielding independent was sky high. His

(01:00:13):
fielding independent was actually lower with the race and his
ERA was like five. I mean, it's just absolutely amazing
what we've seen out of Savali, but that's far. This season,
eighteen punchouts at sefteen innings, he's only given up four walks,
he has given up three home runs, He's given up
the deep ball a little bit. I started against the Angels,
gave up three runs, two of which we're earning five innings,
including a home run. But on all I do like
what I'm seeing out of Aaron Slavali this season. And

(01:00:34):
for Jose Soriano, this was a gentleman that was coming
out of the bullpen by trade by prior to a
about a week or so ago. He's given up three
hover runs a ten innings. As far as the season,
first start against the Race, gave up four runs and
four hunnings. Gave you some swings and misses, but I
don't think that he's ready to be a big league
starter just yet. So I do think that the Rays
are going to be able to light him up. Did
some my total at an eight point four. Personally, I

(01:00:55):
would rather have an eight over rather than an eight
and a half under. So then at the over end
the race, on the run line nine sixty nine, nine
to seventy on the benning board, it is the Toronto
Blue Jays and they play us to the New York Yankees.
Carlos Horodan is on the bum fore the Yankees, and
Useaikikuchi is on the bump for Toronto and Toronto is
any word between a minus one o five to an
even money priced slight underdog, being well, any word tween

(01:01:15):
minus one ten to one minus one fifteen. Your number
on the Yankees eight and a half is a total
over and under any worth three minus one five to
a minus one fifteen And with Yusaiki Cucci, I had
to make them a favorite of minus one sixteen with
the Blue Jays, so I'm gonna be looking at lay it.
Yusai Kikuchi, since the back half of last season, has
really been able to find a post All Star break
into twenty twenty four from twenty twenty three. In his

(01:01:37):
last fifteen or so it starts, he's providing about a
three thirty five RA and what has been impressive he
has mitigated the deep ball. He had such an issue
early on in his Toronto career of giving up so
many actors. I mean, in this timespan, he's giving up
about a half a home run point six home runs
per nine and ennings and he's backed up by a
bullpend that certainly is the only some injuries. Having out
the fold two of your main guys in Eric Swans

(01:01:58):
and along Jordan Romano's great but Umi Garcia has looked
much better than he was a season ago. You've been
able to get some good endings out of eight Pierson
as well. Ten days after it was amazing. Wlaset year
has been absolutely awful, but holden all the bullpen has
not been too bad in for the Yankees. Bullpen has
been a little bit of a roll of the dice
as well. Clay Holmes has been just very up and
down throughout his career. Now, I do like the fact
that you've got Ian Hamilton, a long Victor Gonzalez, CaAl Ferguson.

(01:02:21):
These guys have been relatively solid in past years. But
Dennis Santana, you never know what you're gonna get out
of him. Ron Meredanacchio, before getting injured, he was actually
really good last season, but he towards the back half
of the season was seemingly certain to wear down, and
coming off of injury, you do have to wonder how
formidable he's going to be. Meanwhile, for this Yankees lineup
the top of the fold that's been actually quite good
for the seam Sands Aaron Judge. Aaron Judge had that

(01:02:43):
home run against Cleveland on Sunday, but all no he's
hitting just a buck ninety four. Labor Torres a lont
Ouse for Duguard struggling as well, but have to love
what you've been able to get out of Anthony Volpe
a month one, so both are giving you north of
a four to fifty on base as well. The Carbrera
has been able to give you some nice pop. He's
providing about a three to fifty on base as well.
But it's touch and go with the Yankees right now.
And for the Blue Jays, this has been one of
the most anemic offenses in all of baseball. Man all

(01:03:05):
but three of their starters in the lineup yesterday hitting
a two fifteen or lower, with Flag Guerrero, Bob Boba,
Shed George Springer along with Oleander Kirk only a ten
seventeen or lower. That is not ideal, to say the least.
But Grea has been able to supply.

Speaker 4 (01:03:18):
Three home runs. And while I do think that we
maybe overrated.

Speaker 2 (01:03:21):
Some of these young bats of the Blue Jays, I
don't believe that they're as bad as they're shown to
be right now. And for Carlos Rodan, he looks better
than he did a season ago. A season ago, you
could tell that that was not Carlos Rodon. But even
with him looking a little bit better than a season ago,
you tell that he's still not back to being the
guy that he was two to three years ago when
he had that cup of coffee with the San Francisco Giants.
It was just much better at being able to get

(01:03:42):
swings and missus than he is right now. I need
to begin the season. He's made three starts, He's only
gotten thirteen strikeouts of fifteen and two thirds hands. The
walks have been pretty high with seven walks, so he's
still is going through his issues, and I do think
that the Blue Jays is going to be able to
exploit that. I'm going to be looking at the Blue
Jays out of minus one fifteen or better on the
money line, and with regards to total, did some mine
out an eight point six. I do think that the
Blue Jays is gonna rise up a little bit more

(01:04:03):
with their offense. So I like the over and the
J's on the money line nine seventy one, nine to
seventy two on the Mandy Moore The Cleveland Guardians hit
throwad face off against the Boston Red Sox. Garret Woodlock
is on the bump for the Sucks. Tanner bibe is
on the bump for Cleveland. Cleveland is an underdog if
anywhere between even money to minus one of five between
minus one away till minus one fifteen is that number
on Boston eight and a half to nine is a
total on the eight and a f over his minus

(01:04:24):
one fifteen. The Unders mines one five on the nine,
the Unders mines one twenty and the over is even.
I said Woodlock and the Red Sox and of minus
one twenty seven, so gonna be looking at them on
the bunny line.

Speaker 4 (01:04:33):
I actually really like what I've seen out of Garrett Woodlock.

Speaker 2 (01:04:35):
Now he needs to go a little bit north of
five innings because this is a Boston Red Sox bullpen
that is proving to be not so reliable, to say
the least. But for Woodlock, and it starts as far
you has made three in total fourteen out of third innings,
giving up two runs, both of which were earned sixteen
punch outs along the way. That has been absolutely tremendous
for the team. Meanwhile, for Tanner Biby, he's a little

(01:04:57):
bit of a touch and go picture that has been
having a rough go bent. Thus far this season, the
eight walks in thirteen and two third setings have been
leading to some issues. Saying for Tanner Biby as a
rookie last season, he did a good job of just
being able to hold down the ford in general. He
didn't do anything amazing. He was able to give you
right in the neighbor about nine strikeouts to three walks. Bernie,
and he's been a gated heart contact posted up a

(01:05:18):
two ninety eighty RA, but never felt like he was
truly that good. And he was very much a beneficiary
of being able to pitch at a pitchers ballpark out
there in Cleveland during the twenty twenty three campaign. He
was able to post up in the ERA when he
was in Cleveland at a sub two twenty five to
eleven to be exact me and well three seventy nine
when he was away from him. But he was backed
up by a guardian seam as in the top three

(01:05:39):
in the big leagues terms of Bullpenny Ray at Manuel
Class A, so one of the best closers say you're
gonna find in.

Speaker 4 (01:05:43):
The big leagues. And then on top of that, even though.

Speaker 2 (01:05:45):
They've been suffering a few injuries with likes of James
carrojacking company being out, the likes of Eli Morgan, Nick Samlin,
Hunter Gadnets who was a terrible starter, but it's proven
to be a good bullpen piece. These guys have been good,
and I mean that's a lot of this. Guardian seam
By actually got a lot of starters in the bullpen
and all these guys are pretty good. Meanwhile, for the
Boston Red Sox, Kennley Jansen, when he sat in a

(01:06:05):
super duper big pressure spot, has been relatively said. You've
got Justin Slayton new has actually been able to give
you some nice settings. I'd like what Chris Martin is
able to bring to the table. But when you're trusting
in more of these guys like Greg Wiser and Isaiah Campbell,
that has been a little bit less and terrific. And
I'm pretty sure Campbell got sent down to the miners
after his appearance a few days ago. But what it's
really concerning for the Red Sox as a bats zero
or one run scored in five out of their last

(01:06:28):
eleven games. And this is with Tyler O'Neal hitting seven
home runs. He has been absolutely tremendous. But deal with
some injuries right now, as may be dealing with an
ailment to Trevor's story, but what else is new there.
Raphael Devers is currently out of the fold, and when
both of these guys were in, it's not like they
were doing a ton as well. You've got Jaron Duran
at the top who's been hitting a three hunter, but
Tristan Kassas he's been able to give you four home runs,

(01:06:48):
give you about a three forty on As he's been solid,
but you were expecting more out of Masataki Yoshida, and
then the young guys Emmanuel Veldees, Pablo Reyes, Sadine Rafaela
and even below the middo's line two hundred. They do
need to iron that little bit, and I do think
that they're gonna be able to do so. I do
think that Byby is going to see a little bit
of negative regression and just has not been the same
picture away from moment. I don't think the Garrett Wodlock
continues to sell one fifty era. You do have a

(01:07:10):
Guardian's unit that is hitting more home runs than they
did a few seasons ago. With the Naylor brothers Josh
and Bow Naylor being able to fly the boom, and
this Guardian team just does a really good job of
being able to find a way on base. They hit
lefties much better than they hit righty's, but Stephen Kwan
Josh Naylor both thinking above three forty is big. Osey
Ramirez has not given you a lot in terms of
on base percentage, but three on the round sitting about
two fifty, Andres Semenez has been rock salidating at two

(01:07:32):
ninety with some power as well. I did something told
at eight point seven. We're between an eight and a
half and a nine right now. Personally, I would rather
take a nine under rather than an eight and a
half over, just because I have some faith in Garrett
would lock along with the pitching of the Guardians set
looking at the under and looking at the Red Sox
up to a minus one twenty six on that money line,
nine seventy three, nine seventy four on the benning board,
they can't say Royal sit thero read face up against
the Chicago White Sox. Brady Singer, Oops, have the White

(01:07:54):
Sox singing the blues, and it is Jonathan Cannon on
the bump for the White Sox right now.

Speaker 4 (01:07:59):
The only place.

Speaker 2 (01:07:59):
Will they number up his circle, and he set the
Royals at of minus one eighty seven plus one sixty nine.

Speaker 4 (01:08:04):
Very nice for the White Sox.

Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
Seven a half is a total over his minus one
twenty the Unders even, and they're looking to lay the
run line with the Royals, that's not minus one twelve,
and I am more than willing to lay a minus
one twelve with this run line. I sent mine at
a minus one twenty six. For Brady Singer, he was
one of the more unlucky pitchers in all baseball last season,
had a field independent that was about points seven points
lower than his actual ERA, and thus far this season
he has just really come out of the gates strong

(01:08:27):
eighteen and a third innings in his three starts, has
given up two runs just four walks along the way,
and now he has to go up against a former
third round pick of the Georgia Bulldogs and Jonathan Cannon,
who at the minor league level he was only getting
about eastricous Er nine and then he's gave up about
a home run per nine, about three walks per nine.
Nothing bad, but not really anything amazing for a White

(01:08:47):
Sox team that I guess decent would be good for
the Sea because you just take a look at this bunch,
and my goodness, gracious, they have an absolutely terrible bullpen
where Dominique Leone is right now one of your key
cut Michael Kopek just can't stop giving up home runs.
They get rid of so many of their trustworthy bullpen
pieces from eighty season ago. So now you're left with

(01:09:08):
Steven Wilson trying to roll down the four for.

Speaker 4 (01:09:09):
The Seede move. Due's garded.

Speaker 2 (01:09:11):
He's actually been half way decent, but I said, and
you're throwing out there, Tim Hill with his north of Adra.
You just have not been able to get much in
general out of Davy Garcia as well. Big time issues there.
And for the Chicago White Sox right now they are
dealing with ailments to arguably their two best hitters and
Eliamenez along with Luis Robert. You've actually had Gavin Chets
to be able to supply a few home run seas
give me you a north of a three twenty on base.

(01:09:32):
But the White Sox last season, we're dead last in
the big leagues with regards to walks around on a
pervat basis. They're on the bottom teams once again this season,
though they can't see your Royals there right there. Both
of these Seeds just do not do a good job
of be able to draw walks in general. But that said,
this is a Royal team that at the very least
they've got some upside in terms of their line up.
In in terms of their lineup, they've got a lot
of pop as Salvador Perez along with Bobby wit Junr

(01:09:52):
both have four home runs as far as the season.
Both that are hitting well north of a three hundred.
Vinie Pazcantino, MJ. Melendez, Miquel Garcia, they've all been a
will give you three over runs. Carsie is hitting for
just a two twenty four on base, so he's been
on all or nothing any hitter. But Pascantino m J.
Melendez both give you about a three forty five on
base like what I've seen on them bound full with
guys like under renfro Kylo as well, they leave a
little bit of something to be desired, as was this

(01:10:14):
bullpen of the Royals like James MacArthur, Jordan lyles On Alzer.
But these are guys who are just not cutting it.
Will Smith does get a little bit too jiggy with it,
but going up against this just absolutely awful White Sox lineup,
I do think that the Royals are going to take
it to them. And I'm going to be taking a
look the over on a seven a half semi total
in eight eight point four because I do think the
cannon gets Gannon bald, and I do think that the
Royals really take it.

Speaker 4 (01:10:34):
Out on the bullpen.

Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
I do think that the White Sox might be able
to generate a few runs on this Royals bullpen as well.
So like the over, but also going to be looking
at the run line of the Royal sign seventy five
nine seventy six On the betting board, the Antlina Braves
sit throwad face off against the Euston Astros. Hunter Brown
goes for these rows and you know the Lopez is
on the moon for the Atlanta Braves. Ten is the
total over is anywhere between minus one ten two a
minus one fifteen hundreds between minus one of five to

(01:10:56):
one minus one ten the Bravos or anywheretween minus want
to wait till minus one fifteen between even money to
minus one o five is at number on Houston A
With Houston, I did set them as an underdog of
plus one twenty two, so circumstances where I'm going to
be taking a look at the Atlanta Braves on the
money line with run all the Lopez. He just was
misused by the Chicago White Sox coming out of the

(01:11:16):
bullpen last season. It just feels like he's much more
comfortable in that starter's role. Has always been able to
give you right around about eight and ninlf straightcufs per
nine ennings. The command has been a little bit spotty
this far this season with five walks in twelve innings,
but all at all, he's been able to do a
solid job mitigating our contact well. Hunter Brown just has
not been great at home since the beginning of the
twenty twenty three season. He's gotten north of a sixy
RA when he's at home, giving up to our near

(01:11:37):
six walks per nine and ennings has less than terrific.

Speaker 4 (01:11:40):
And he's coming off giving.

Speaker 2 (01:11:41):
Up fourteen runs in three and two thirds ennings in
his last two starts. Yeah, that's not good to say
the least. I have no idea how he didn't get
sent down to the minor leaks. I think that that's
just a lack of options in general for the Houston
ass and this Astros bunch is in the bottom half
of the Big leagues. It turns the bullpenny area as well.
This des by the fact that they do have Ryan Presley,
a lot of Josh in that bullpen, but they lost

(01:12:01):
so many guys like Ryan Stanek, Phil Maton, Ector Harris
from past season, so they've been looking to the likes
of Parker Mulshinsky, Joel Kunell, Brandon b Lock for big
innings and it's not panning out. Brian Ray, who's typically
saw it in the bullpen, has been a bit shaky
as well. For the Atlanta Braves, they do leave a
little bit of something to be desired in the bullpen.
They're about league average in terms of their bullpenny array.

(01:12:22):
But you saw one the Nazis closers in the big
leagues in Rossie Iglesias Jesse Chavez still lead. These guys
have been very reliable for this bunch, and aj Minter
has been looking rock solid as well. And for the
US answers, they have to go up against a dust
A lineup. Marcelo is doon at seven bombs and it
is hitting up three to sixty five I mean, it's
just absolutely incredible what you're seeing out of this Atlanta
Braves team and their top six hitters, actually their top

(01:12:44):
seven hitters in terms of total at pass all inning
at least a too eighty six, and all but one
of them have been able to supply at least two
home runs. Alvancuney Junior is still suck on zero and
Orlando Arcia is as well. But this team is just
absolutely ripping the cover off the ball. Entered into the
day number two in the Big leagues with guys are
run scored per game behind the Brewers, and they'll be
able to overtake them for number one soon. And for

(01:13:04):
the answers, it's the top heavy lineup Jose al Twove,
Kyle Tucker along with Jordan Alvarez. These guys are doing
a solid job giving you all at least a three
to sixty on base for Tucker and al Twove, a
commanded nine home runs for them, Jordan Alvarez four runs
as well. But Alex Bregman, even though he hasn't provided
any home runs, he's moving the line. He's hitting at
two sixty, but Josebrayu hitting below the Mindos line of

(01:13:25):
two hundred at a zero eighty two chans McCormick hasn't
been We'll give you too much, Jake Myers. You were
hoping for a little bit more out of him as well.
And I do think that Ronaldo Lopez does a charlote
job holding down the fort and I think that Hunder
Brown sees a little bit of positivity year. So I
did sell my toil at a nine point eight here
at the ten looking at the under, but with the
race one of the layft do minus one twenty one
with that money line nine seventy seven, nine to seventy
eight on the bank board. The Cincinnati Reds, yes, weare

(01:13:46):
on in Cincinnati. They're under the road facing off against
se Seattle Manners logan Gilbert goes for Seattle, hun agreed,
and it is on the bump for Cincinnati. The Reds
find themselves as an underdog ony retween plus one fourteen
plus one eighteen. Meanwhile, between minus one twenty five to
minus one thirty five is that number on the Seattle Manners.
Seven is a total over snine one fifteen. The under
is minus one o five needed at least plus one

(01:14:07):
thirty five to take a shot on the red, so
I'm going to be willing to lay with the Seattle manners. Now,
good news for Hunter Green. He's in one of the
most picture friendly ballparks in all the big leagues. That's
big for him because with Hunter Green throughout his career,
he's just had a tough time giving up rockets in general.
For his career, well north of one point seven home
runs per nine and nnings have much of this is
a byproduct of the fact that he plays out there

(01:14:27):
in Cincinnati. Cincinnati has a launching pad for a whole
bunch of home runs, and you just take a look
at his career home and road split.

Speaker 4 (01:14:34):
So this is two plus.

Speaker 2 (01:14:35):
Seasons and when he's been away from home, he's been
a relatively rock solid pitcher. For forty three ERA he
is still given up right around about one point four
or so home runs er nine innings, but he's given
up more like two point two home runs for nine
innings at home a four eighty seven e R. Meanwhile,
for Logan Gilbert, he's done a nice job but be
able to hold down the fort and be one of
the most steady pieces for the Seattle Mariners team all
season long. Twenty and to the third innings in his

(01:14:55):
three start, so he's given you a length. His strikeout
numbers are up to about ten punchouts er nine and
nnies As only give it up three walks in twenty
plus settings. But it's the Seattle Manners bats that just
have not been great, to say the least. Good news
for Seattle, they finally had a nice outburst with the
bats a night ago. They were able to go off
for nine runs. That is big, but you do have
to wonder if it's going to be a mainstay or
if that was one night only, because even with what

(01:15:17):
we saw last night, you've got cal Rawley, Luke Railey
and JP Crawford, Udio Rodriguez, orde Plonko all hitting at
two oh five or lower. It's really been Mitch Haniger
and Ty france I have been getting out base for
the team, being able to provide some pop. Hanneger up
to three home runs and Ordeo Polanco is as well.
So you need these guys to continue that moving forward.
And for the Cincinnati Reds, it's been a lot of
inconsistency for some of their younger guys, Christian and Carnassi

(01:15:39):
on strand, you've had Jami or Ken de Lario, who's
not a younger guy but certainly has been around for
quite a while. Johnathan India hitting below a two fifteen.
Will Benson is starting to be able to move the
line for the Semen. Ellie Day Lacruz Spencer's here at
three plus home runs apiece for these guys, both of
these guys have done a very nice job but providing
a rock solid on base Perc Angelly, David Cruz hitting
about a two sixty seven and steer well above three

(01:16:01):
with about a four to forty nine on base And
for the Reds they've got a substandard two average bullpen.
It's nothing great, it's nothing terrible. You've had in the bullpen,
Amelia Began. Lucas Simms, Fernando Cruz do an okay but
not great job. I like Alexis Diaz as their closer
buck farmer. He doesn't again okay job. But for Seattle,
they just pluck these guys out of just pretty much

(01:16:22):
nowhere and they find a way to be able to
get good endings on them. For this bullpen game, Spier,
Trent Thornton, Taylor Soacado, these guys have all been very good.
Matt Brash's currently injured, but sal and Andre's Munjos being
able to hold down the fort. There's such a good
bullpen that they were able to move on from Pem
Murphy and not really miss a beat. So I do
think that for the Mariners, they're gonna do a nice
job in this ordeal. And I do think that they're
gonna be able to take Huntter Greendee once or twice
in this one. It's a red team that has been

(01:16:43):
generating quite a bit of offense as well, So I
do think that the Mariner is going to start to
see some positivity with their run scoring. Somebody tell it
at eight point two, I like the over and with
the Mariners want to lay up to eight minus one
thirty three on this money line, So gonna be signing
with Seattle along with the over, and we're afterings up
of nine seventy nine, nine eighty on the banking board.
The Saint Lois Cardinals on the road facing off against
the Oakland Triple A says, you've got jp Sis going

(01:17:03):
for the a's and they don't deserve to be called
Triple A's quite yet, because they've actually been playing a
halfway decent Meanwhile, Lancelyn is on the bump for Saint Louis,
he should probably be sent to triple A total on
this game. It is eight overs minus one fifteen the
unders minus one of five for Saint Louis. They're between
minus one forty to minus one forty favorites between plus
one twenty two to plus one thirty one is your
number on Oakland and for the A's, I was willing

(01:17:24):
to think anything about plus one nineteen or higher with
him now for JP series needs to reduce our contact.
Last season was giving up there near one point at
home runs er nine and ennings. And despite the fact
that Oakland has STI pitcher friendly, he had an higher
er at home rather than.

Speaker 4 (01:17:36):
Away from him.

Speaker 2 (01:17:37):
It'spent a little bit rough for him thus far the
season as well, a six walks in fifteen and two
thirds s innings and it just has not been able
to generate a lot of strikeouts. And for Lancelin last
few seasons he's gotten ten plus strikeouts per nine and ennis.
He's just given up for rockets since the beginning part
of the twenty twenty three season, given up about two
point two all runs per nine and ENnies. It's at
home it's on the road, it is everywhere with Lions Lynn,

(01:17:57):
and he's backed up by an open that has a
little bit less than You've been able to get some
good endings over the last few seasons out of Ryan
Helsley when he's been healthy, but he's the only guy
from this bullpen from a season ago that had a
sub three five ERA. I like the Andrew Kittrich pickup,
but that said, Jojo Romero, Andre Polanti, Ryan Fernandez Cazar guys,
they're highly unright liable. And for the Oakland A's, this

(01:18:18):
team is actually a top six team in the big
League in terms of bullpenny Ara. Mason Miller, in my opinion,
should be starting, but he has been very good on
in that bullpen. Meanwhile, you've got the likes of Michael Kelly,
Austin Adams, Hesar reclamation projects that are providing a sub
three era. Danian Menez is a really nice young bullpen
piece as well. But for the Oakland A's, this is
one of the worst lineups out there in the big leagues.
That's why they've been playing so many unders. You've got

(01:18:40):
a Sterie Ruiz who's back. He had a nice pinch
at omron Less yesterday, so that's something that you do
like to see. But among the starters for the Oakland
A's yesterday, he had three guys sitting above a two
twelve leaving the game, So that's not SCA two tremendous.
You need a little bit more of the likes of
Ryan Noda, Seth Brown, shay leangelais Leangolairas had that three
on one game, but all these guys below them is

(01:19:00):
the line of a two hundred. Brent Rooker has been
in and out of the fold as well as Acklof
has not honestly been able to give you a ton.
But for Saint Louis, this has been a bottom ten
team in the Big leagues with regards to their overall
run production as well as Paul Goldschmid is really scuffling,
hitting him buck eighty three thus far this season with
one over run. Nolan or Not is not providing a
lot of home runs, but the catcher spot has been productive.

(01:19:21):
Yvon Herrera, a lot of Wilson Canturs. These guys both
have three plus home runs a piece. Mason win is
actually really producing at the bottom of the fold. That
is big because you've had Michael Sinney, Jordan Walker, Victor
Scott All it below them the noose line of tour
arm but getting back Lars Newpar that's big for the team.
And then Brandon Donovan just has some very big home
and road splits as well. That does leave me to

(01:19:41):
being off put a little bit by the Saint Louis
Cardinals lineup. I do think that JP Sear is going
to be able to find it here and I do
think that Lions Lynn gives up his fair share amount
of runs and that's big a reason why I do
like the over, even though it's a nighttime game out
there in Oakland. I did somebody total at eight point two.
I like the over and with the Oakland A's going
to be taking that plus price with them on the
money line. That'll wrap things up for the two edition
