(00:33):
Everybody, I am so excited foryou to meet somebody that hopefully
you've heard of already, butif you have not, because God is increasing
your wisdom and your knowledgeand your understanding of the world
of deliverance.
And so I have one of myfavorite people, Rikard Hart, here
with us today.
I'm coming at you live fromNew York City.
Where are you at in the world, Rikard?

(00:54):
I am over on the West Coast.
Pasco, Washington Pastor.
Come on.
West coast meets east coast, guys.
His channel is the Deliverance podcast.
You can search it on YouTube.
Matter of fact, I have thelinks down below in the description,
so make sure you go over and subscribe.
As a matter of fact, I'm goingto be a little upset with you if
you don't subscribe, so goahead and do it right now.

(01:16):
But we're going to have areally lengthy conversation about
Deliverance, and I promise yousome of the burning questions of
your heart will be answered inthis time.
And then there's some freshrevelation that Rickard has that
I believe is for right now.
So I just want to start with this.
I know that you had spent sometime with TB Joshua.
Is that where your deliverancejourney began?

(01:37):
Because there's, I believeeverybody's deliverance journey story
unlocks else's story.
And so how did you.
Or maybe Deliverance found youor you found Deliverance?
Yeah, absolutely.
So I'm a pk.
I'm born in a pastor's family.
And growing up, you know, Iwas always involved in the church,

(01:58):
and my dad was doing somedegree of deliverance, so I was already
kind of witnessing a littlebit as I grew up.
Later, I kind of left the patha little bit during my school years.
But then later on, my dadactually anointed my pillow with
anointing oil.
And he said, whatever demon isafflicting my son, my son who's supposed

(02:19):
to carry my mantle, Icommanded to leave him alone, and
he was just interceding for me.
So all the bad habits, thesexual sin and the porn and all those
kind of things that I wasstarting to veer towards, it just
disappeared.
The urges left me, and I wasintroduced back into church.
I got interested in going backto church, and I started noticing

(02:41):
that what was preached about, the miracles that Jesus did, deliverance
healings and so on, I wasn'tseeing any of that.
So I simply searched onlinefor places where the power of God
was evidently.
And I found TB Joshua.
I went there to visit once, and I just.
When I went there, I askedhim, Prophet T.B.

(03:02):
joshua, can I stay here as a disciple?
What I see is so incredible.
Can I just stay here for a while?
And he just said, yeah, sure, you'll stay here.
I'll take care of you.
Stay here in Nigeria.
So I was there.
I thought I would go there forthree months and get infused with
the power of God, go back anddeliver my nation, you know.
But that didn't happen.
I was there for nine years, and that's where I really saw deliverance

(03:25):
happening.
Incredible deliverances.
You know, we're talking witchcraft.
We're talking the kind ofstuff that you barely see here in
the Western world.
We know it exists here.
It's just way more hidden.
But down there in thatculture, it's way more prominent
with all the, you know, peoplethat come in and, oh, I've done money,
sacrifice, and I've done thisand I've done that.

(03:46):
And they are looking for deliverance.
I saw a bunch of deliverancethere, and I was taught to minister
there as well.
And then while I was there, around my fourth year living, there
was actually when I receivedmy own personal deliverance from
that spirit of lust thatentered me in my teenage years.
So that was, like, how I found deliverance.

(04:07):
Deliverance found me.
And since then, I've beenabsolutely on fire.
I love to see people's livesbeing transformed and them being
set free from those spiritual forces.
Wow.
I want to go a little bitdeeper real quick.
So part of your transformationstory started with your father anointing
your pillow.
We know that acts chapter 19,that they actually had handkerchiefs,

(04:29):
and the apostles woulddistribute those over geographic
distances, and people wouldtouch them, and not only were they
physically healed, but theBible says that evil spirits came
out of them.
Can you maybe explain, like, what.
What importance does theanointing oil have today?
You know, that's part of your testimony.
That's part of your story.
There's probably many peoplewatching right now that have never

(04:50):
heard about that, and they'rethinking, can I anoint my husband's
pillow?
Can I anoint my own pillow?
You know, does that work?
Can I do that?
Yeah, absolutely.
And I strongly believe thatyou can.
First of all, it's biblical.
God can use anything.
He'll use foolish things if weare not ready to be used.
So oil is something that Godabsolutely uses.

(05:14):
And.
And he got that oil.
He got just regular olive oil.
He went to a pastor whocarried the power of God and who.
He could see the fruits andthe evidence of the anointing on
him.
And that pastor prayed forthat oil.
And then he was using it topray for my pillow.
He would anoint the house, thedoorpost to the house, that anyone

(05:34):
that walks into this house, may the Spirit of God be upon them.
And, you know, so absolutely,it's absolutely, absolutely, incredibly
important to understand thatanointing is transferable not just
from an anointed man of Godpraying for someone else, but even
through objects such asaprons, handkerchiefs, or oil or

(05:55):
so on.
So that's what he did.
He actually, I think he alsoanointed some of my clothes.
You know, he would use allkind of things.
The Bible talks about beinginnocent as doves, but shrewd as
snakes.
And I know that there are manywomen out there who, for example,
or men for that matter, that, like my spouse is not married, hasn't

(06:17):
received Jesus yet in their heart.
What can I do?
You know, I'm stuck in this situation.
I always tell them, get someanointing oil and pray, you know,
that the Spirit of God wouldjust touch them when they lay their
head, head on their pillow, pray for their food, pray for their
clothes all the time, justeverything that they come in contact
with.
I believe that he has a verystrong transformative power, actually.

(06:38):
Come on.
If you're watching this andyou want to know more about how to
anoint your home and how to dothis, I do have a video resource
that's linked in the descriptions.
And then right now, above myhead, there's a little tag that's
coming up that you can tapthat and go watch that video.
I do believe we need to getback to anointing our homes, anointing
our spaces.
That is something that is lostright now in the body of Christ.

(07:00):
So go watch that video and,and allow the Holy Spirit to teach
you and then start anointingyour home.
Okay.
And so then you end up inAfrica, and then you end up there
for nine years.
You see some incredible things happen.
But one of the things aboutyour story I think is important is
there was a gap between whenyou really decided, I'm not gonna

(07:22):
be lukewarm, I'm going all infor Christ.
But then you got deliveranceyears later.
And so what was it thatfinally caused you to receive deliverance
from?
You said lust.
I'm sure there's some other things.
What was it finally being inthat atmosphere that caused that
to happen?
Because there's a lot ofpeople that are just like, you know
what?
I've been seeing all thesedeliverance videos.

(07:42):
I've been around it.
I don't feel like I have a demon.
It's probably only discipline.
It's probably only the flesh.
What was it that caused you tosay, wait a second, I need deliverance?
This is deeper than discipline.
Yeah, absolutely.
And this is a really important thing.
Now.
I was under a very stronganointing for a long time, but I

(08:06):
still didn't receive fulldeliverance because I myself hadn't
understood the root cause ofmy problems.
I was having sexual dreams.
I was experiencing this kindof like a spiritual wife or incubus
or succubus.
I mean, or, you know, theyhave many different names where,
depending on what cultureyou're from, but some kind of night

(08:28):
terror dreams that wasattacking me, that was afflicting
my daily life too.
I woke up from these dreams, and it affected my sexual desires.
My desires were running amokevery time I had those dreams.
And I thought, like, hey, letme just crucify my flesh a little
bit more, Just like you said, Pastor.
I tried for a long time.

(08:49):
In fact, if I would havecrucified my flesh anymore, it was
basically the physical crossthat was the next step.
I had tried it all.
I was fasting, I was praying,I was doing it all.
It wasn't working.
And I thought, this is justhow life is gonna be for me.
This is it.
Everyone are suffering in silence.
They just don't talk about it.
They just learn to live with it.

(09:09):
But then a preacher just toldme one day, and the Bible says faith
comes by hearing a preacherpreached and said, if you're experiencing
such symptoms, consider deliverance.
It's not how God created you.
It's not how you're meant towork as a man or as a woman to have
this extremely, you know, sexual desires just flying all over

(09:32):
the place.
Uncontrollable addictions toporn and masturbation and stuff like
that.
So I realized, whoa, Iprobably need deliverance.
And it was tough.
There was this period therethat was really tough, mind you.
I had already preached.
I was up there.
You know, I'm like, what'sgonna happen?
What are people gonna say if Imanifest one day?

(09:54):
But the desperation forfreedom became stronger than the
worry about my discomfort ormy shame.
So that desperation was whatpushed me over the ledger.
I'm like, I don't care anymorewhat people call me.
I need deliverance.
So once I came to that point, something changed.

(10:15):
And I had received prayers inthe past, but the time when I understood
myself and my faith was in theright place, those demons were exposed
instantly by the prayer.
It Took two minutes and thosedemons were cast out of me.
And I want to add this.
Pastor, come on.

(11:26):
I think many of us are maybewatching this today, and you're like,
oh, my son needs this, mydaughter needs this, and so on and
so forth.
I.
If someone would have told mebefore that time that I needed deliverance,
I feel like it's like theprodigal son.
The prodigal son needed to getto the pig's pen before he was ready

(11:48):
to turn around.
If his father would have beenlike, hey, come back, son.
You're going on the wrong path.
He wouldn't have listened.
So I had to get to that pointwhere my desperation became so strong,
and I realized that, like, Ican't do these anymore.
And at that point, once Ireceived that prayer of deliverance,
it just came out easy peasylike that.

(12:09):
And my life was transformed.
Wow.
I am blown away.
One of the number onequestions that I get is, pastor Mike,
I know my spouse needs deliverance.
What do I do?
Pastor Mike, I know my kidsneed deliverance is what you're saying,
Rickard.
No, you need to allow them tobecome desperate, because deliverance
is for the desperate.

(12:29):
Maybe somebody watching rightnow is realizing you're enabling
them.
Once you stop, stop trying tobe the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit
can do what only he can do.
Once you stop trying to be thesource of conviction, which really
is condemnation, the HolySpirit can bring true conviction.
And so for you, being apastor's son, your dad praying for

(12:50):
you, anointing things, therewas a long journey between anointing
and deliverance.
And that journey was thejourney of desperation.
Oh, come on.
It's so good.
And so I think there's a levelof faith that parents and spouses
need to have right now to say,God, you said it.
I believe it.
And that settles it.

(13:10):
I know that it's going tohappen, but like you said, Rikard,
it's going to happen on God's timeline.
So there's so much to the.
This is so good.
By the way, one of my mostvideos of all time is about spiritual
spouses because very intensedemonic dreams, sexual dreams, cause
people then in their wakinghours to be tormented by those desires.

(13:31):
And they know this is morethan biological, this is spiritual.
And so you got free from all that.
You received deliverance.
And you said that deliverancehappened within that day, correct?
Yeah.
Yeah.
The moment that I came fordeliverance, they prayed for me.
Now, deliverance happens inmany different ways.
And my deliverance, I was.

(13:51):
I was.
You Know, some people say thatthey're like, blacking out during
the deliverance.
Some people say that they feellike they're in the back seat, see
it, or watching, like third person.
For me, I was like third person.
I remember everything duringmy deliverance, but I wasn't fully
in control.
And this is one importantthing, especially if you're a believer.

(14:11):
If you're a believer andyou're a Christian, you're like,
hey, do I need deliverance?
Or is this just for, you know, unbelievers out there?
No, it's for you.
And many times, because youhave the Holy Spirit, because you're
a believer, you have faith.
That means that those demons, they don't have full control over
you.
So even during themanifestations, for me at least,

(14:31):
I had to kind of surrender tothe spirit of God.
I could have chosen.
When they prayed for me, helaid his hand on me.
It felt like a bag of cementhit my head.
And I know it wasn't heavy, but that moment, it was like, oh,
man, why are you hitting me?
And I got angry and I wantedto, like, punch my pastor, you know.
And what happened was I couldat that moment zip my lip.

(14:56):
I could have, like, controlled myself.
Like, I'm not going to bedisgraced in church.
No, no, this isn't happening today.
But I chose.
I was so desperate, I kind ofsurrendered to the spirit of God.
And he did.
He uprooted what needed to beuprooted in my life.
And so I have the memoriesfrom my deliverance.
I can describe it, you know, but that's how my experience was.

(15:16):
It took about 2, 3 minutes.
Once the pastor prayed for me,it was fast and I had gone all the
way.
I was ready.
I was prepared for it.
My faith was in the rightplace, and I was desperate for my
freedom.
Come on, this is so good.
Well, I tell people all thetime, do not cooperate with the demonic.
I mean, the trick that Satanever pulled was fooling the world.

(15:36):
He doesn't into believing hedoesn't exist.
And so a lot of people, theyhide manifestations, they try to
leave the room.
And what they're doing iscooperating with the demonic.
And I love the fact that youtold your story and, and you said,
listen, I could have zipped my lip.
I could have stopped.
I could have tried to control it.
But you would have beencooperating with the demonic.

(15:57):
And so you said, you know what?
I'm not worried about beingdisgraced because I'm desperate.
And that is a key ingredient.
Some of you guys still carewhat people think about you.
But you need to begin toobsess yourself with what God thinks
about you and say, God, Iwanna please you.
I don't wanna please thesedemons that are wrecking my life.
And I need to become desperateenough to say, I.
I don't care who's watching this.

(16:19):
Here's the thing.
They had to watch Jesuscrucifixion so that when they saw
the resurrection, that was the proof.
And sometimes the same peoplethat want you get delivered have
to watch you get delivered toknow that God is about to resurrect
you in your life into a newseason, a new era, a new time.
And so I want to ask aquestion because there's many people
like, okay, I also have adeliverance story.

(16:42):
You know, I know that.
But Rickard, here's the problem.
I still struggle with lust.
I hear this especially from men.
I know you hear this as well.
Lust, perversion.
I go back to the pornography Idon't understand.
And this has been a big themein the kingdom right now.
But I believe there's manypeople, there's women that need deliverance
from this as well.

(17:02):
What would you say to somebodylike, hey, the deliverance happened
in two to three minutes for meas well.
But then, now I've spent thelast two to three months, two to
three years actuallysuffering, and I cannot break free
no matter what I do.
What.
What would you tell them?

(18:03):
Yeah, I think.
I think this is a really bigarea and this is what people don't
understand.
Now, majority of people don'teven believe in.
In deliverance.
A lot of.
A lot of believers.
I mean, we are getting to thepoint where deliverance is becoming
more mainstream.
But then the other part ofpeople who do believe in deliverance,
they.
They kind of get like, oh, soI still have to put in the work after

(18:26):
my deliverance?
Yeah, of course you have todo, because strongholds that the
demons have been buildingthroughout many years are still there.
Deliverance is basically.
I used to use the example of,like a cup of tea.
Now, this is an empty glass ofwater, but if I had a cup of tea
with a tea bag in it, and Iwant the water to be pure and clean

(18:50):
and transparent.
If I pour new water into a cupof tea, it will help for a while.
It will dilute the mess.
It will become a little bitmore transparent.
I feel good at that point.
But as long as the tea bag isstill soaking that water, it gets
stained again and again.
And that was my life.

(19:11):
I was trying to Live asanctified life before my deliverance.
And it didn't work.
Now the tea bag was removed.
And now I looked and reflectedon my own life.
And I'm like, thank you, Jesus.
It's been done.
But my water is still stained.
What's going on?
The demon's gone.
But that's when I realized, now starts the process of sanctification.

(19:32):
This is when you take the wordof God.
You fill yourself up withintimacy with the Holy Spirit.
And when you begin to pourclear, pure water into that teacup,
now that's going to be diluted.
And.
And the more you pour, finally, over time, every trace of
that stained tea is gone.

(19:53):
And your water becomespurified, it becomes holy, becomes
transparent.
And I think that is so important.
And many people have missedthis one little secret on how like,
yeah, this analogy sounds goodand everything.
How do I do it?
Practically, the Bible saysJesus prayed for all of the followers

(20:13):
of all his followers.
And he said, lord, sanctifythem by your truth.
Your word is truth.
And I believe this is Sundayschool level almost.
But many Christians need tocome back to the basics again.
The word of God hassanctifying power.
Now, me personally, I foundBible verses that I used to come

(20:38):
against the lies of the enemy.
Because listen to this.
60 seconds after mydeliverance, I got up from the floor,
60 seconds, I was alreadystruck with the first lie that was
fake.
You're a pretender.
You're a hypocrite.
This is not real instantly.
But people around me, thechurch people, they were like, hey,

(20:58):
we saw your deliverance.
And we know you might feellike you were hit by a truck right
now, or whatever you feellike, we saw it and you are free.
We know you're free in Jesus name.
And those words ofencouragement really helped me.
So I found Bible verses.
For me, for example, personally, it was Psalm 19:14.
It says, Let the words of mymouth, meditation on my heart, be
acceptable in your sight.

(21:18):
Psalm 119:37, turn away myeyes from worthless things and revive
me in your word.
So I started taking theseBible verses and I memorized them
in my head over and over againuntil they sunk into my spirit man,
into my innermost being.
And it became a machinerygoing over and over again.
And what happens?
Because Hebrew 4 says the wordof God is living and active.

(21:42):
When you meditate on the wordof God, things happen.
So you meditate, turn away myeyes from looking at worthless things,
you turn that into a prayerpoint after your deliverance.
He's actually gonna do itthat's why he promises he's living
and active.
And when you begin to do that,it becomes a part of your innermost
being.
It becomes this machinery.
You develop communion with theHoly Spirit.

(22:04):
And then, as the Bible says inJeremiah, it's not my word of God,
like fire and like a hammerthat breaks the rock in pieces, I
believe that that hammer, it'sthe repeated use of the written word
of God over and over againuntil that stronghold is broken down
and you are sanctified.
So that's kind of like how Iovercame it after my deliverance.

(22:25):
It's basic, but many times themost basic secrets are the most powerful
ones.
Come on.
The eyes are the window to the soul.
That means you've got to putscriptures into your eyes, come through
that portal, through thatwindow, and begin to tear down every
single one of those strongholds.
It's like, listen, you'veremoved the rat.
Now dismantle the nest so thatanother rat doesn't inhabit that

(22:47):
same nest.
And here's the thing.
Many of you guys need to getback to the basics.
That there was so much graceand anointing on that word, I almost
jumped out of my seat right now.
You know, you were taking meback to a season in my life when
I was conquering lust and perversion.
And this was over 20 yearsago, but I remember, and I went old
school.
I printed scriptures out andphysically put them all on the walls

(23:11):
of my bedroom.
I physically put thescriptures in my bathroom, and I
made it so that the only thingI could see was the word of God.
And so here's the thing.
If looking at lustful thingsis how you built a stronghold and
then demons inhabited thosestrongholds, then looking at the
word of go, gotta fight aspirit with the opposite spirit,

(23:32):
looking at the word of God,looking at the scriptures and allowing
yourself to hear it, to seeit, to taste it, to experience it,
until it continues totransform you.
You know something that I'vebeen saying, and this is a message
that's missing from the bodyof Christ, is learning how to suffer.
Well, learning how to rickard.
When you went throughdeliverance, you said, my ego and

(23:53):
my pride is about to suffer.
I cannot act dignified right now.
In order for my spirit tothrive, my ego and my pride has to
suff.
Then for you to be sanctified, you had to say, guess what?
My sexual urges are gonna haveto suffer.
I'm gonna have to starve onepart of me to feed the other.
I'm either gonna feed theflesh and starve the spirit or I'm

(24:16):
gonna feed my spirit andstarve my flesh.
But something is going to hurt.
And I think what happens whenyou're dealing with lust and perversion
is you're willing to hurt yourspirit and not hurt your flesh.
Yeah, there's gotta be.
You gotta suffer and say, no, I'm.
I am now willing to suffer inmy flesh so that my spirit can thrive.

(24:36):
And I believe there's such apower on you to deliver this message,
Rickard.
And there's people watchingright now that are going, that have
become deliverance junkiesthat need to actually move from deliverance
to discipleship.
But the way of the disciple isJesus suffered.
So now we share in hissuffering and we glory in it.
Guys, it's been 43 days sinceI've looked at pornography, and I've

(25:00):
wanted to do it every day.
Let's glory in this suffering together.
I want to masturbate, but Ididn't do it because I'm.
We're sharing in our suffering.
And I think there's a messagein the kingdom right now that this
is getting out to guys, suffer well.
We need to suffer well.
And so as we come to a close, this has been such a tremendous mendous.

(25:22):
Make sure that you don't justsubscribe to my channel because we're
not building an audience,we're building an army.
But I need you to go over tothe Deliverance podcast, search it
on YouTube and go subscriberight now.
Because, Rickard, you have acatalog of some of the most incredible
insights and revelations andpractical teachings and deep teachings
about deliverance.

(25:42):
But if we could do a lightninground, so we make the last part of
this video everybody's favorite.
What would be if you had to do3, 4, 5, however many one you'd like
the assignment essential things.
Like, if you say this is theessential to deliverance, you've
been in the game for a long time.
You.
I watched you do a mass deliverance.
4,000, 5,000 people.

(26:03):
You went up there and justwent ballistic.
It was one of my favoriteparts of that conference.
And so I've seen you do mass deliverance.
I seen you do one on ones.
If you were to give alightning round right now of like
the, you know, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,however many.
Like, these are the essentialsto somebody who wanting to be equipped
in deliverance, what wouldthey be?

(26:23):
Well, first of all, the mostimportant thing.
So you're talking about peoplewho feel like they have the calling
and the desire to actuallyminister deliverance.
Right?
Yes.
So for those people, thenumber one thing is that deliverance
has to spring out of a lovefor people that overflows from a
love from God.
Many people think because Idon't have stage fright, I should

(26:45):
be a deliverance minister, orbecause I'm quite charismatic, people
like me, I'm eloquent, or Ijust hate demons so much.
All of those things are kindof good and like, it's all right.
But your love for God thatoverflows to love for people is the
way that deliverance has tospring out of.
So otherwise, when youminister to people, you don't consider

(27:08):
them.
When you're praying for them, you're like, oh, yeah, this is gonna
get good views, or this demonis gonna pay, or this is gonna be
this or this that.
No, this person is going to beexperiencing the love of God maybe
for the first time in a mostpowerful way that they've ever experienced.
So love people.
It has to spring from love for people.

(27:29):
You have to understand youridentity in Jesus, because when you
understand your identity inJesus, you understand the authority
you have been given to use thepower that has been bestowed in the
name of Jesus.
The so understanding who youare in Jesus, no weapon fashioned
against you shall prosper.
Every knee must bow at themention of the name Jesus, not just

(27:51):
those who willfully do it.
Every knee must bow.
There's no demon that can, you know.
Oh, you're.
I've heard it so many times, Pastor.
Demons who come up and say,oh, you're just a little boy.
You can't cast us out.
And I'm like, I'm a littleboy, but the one standing behind
me, you and me both know whothat is.
Now you're coming out in his name.

(28:12):
Come on, you know, and tounderstand your identity and then
to.
To do it over and over andover again.
Don't be scared of failing.
Don't be scared of.
Of.
Just like everything else, when it comes to faith, it's like
a muscle.
You have to exercise it.
The more you exercise yourmuscles in the physical, the stronger
you get, the better you get atcertain operations and movements.

(28:34):
The same goes with deliverance.
Find a place.
If it's your church or yourlife group or wherever, as long as
you're under the covering of apastor that approves of it and then
go for it.
Don't think that you need tounderstand everything that has to
do with deliverance.
Before you minister deliverance.
Many people are like, oh, Ihave this problem.
What's my demon?
I'll Be like, I don't know.

(28:55):
Let's pray.
And I'll find out.
We'll find out.
I don't know everything, but Iknow who knows everything.
And he's right around thecorner and he's going to touch you
right now.
So those are like four of themain things on how to get started
into Deliverance.
If I had to give just fourquick ones, that was rich.
I'm talking.
That was one of my best grandfinales ever here on this channel.

(29:17):
Rickard, this is amazing.
Maybe we'll do a part two.
If you can't wait for a parttwo, go to his channel now.
I also want to say this.
I love the fact that the fruitof the spirit is evident in your
ministry.
It's definitely something thatI've observed a lot of times people
who do Deliverance are overly serious.
Serious is not a fruit of the spirit.

(29:37):
Unfortunately, your Instagramis one of the funniest Instagrams
and you just have such a greatsense of humor.
So I'd love for you guys findthem on Instagram.
Is there anywhere else thatpeople should go find you right now
as they're stalking you?
So, yeah, yeah, right.
I'm on Facebook as well.
Same handle as my Instagram.
But those are the three mainplaces that I function on right now.

(30:00):
Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
Yes, Pastor.
Okay.
Yeah.
It's been so great having youand I cannot wait to see what you
guys have to say in thecomments right now.
Like I said, jump over to his channel.
He's got so many great videos.
And I cannot wait.
We're going to have to set upa round two now.
I'm just saying.
I'm just saying.
This was too good.
