Speaker 1 (00:15):
Breaking news, and today the Lego Group is doing something spacey,
something out of this world, something that you can take
out of this atmosphere, something that you could take a
trip on and see the big black nothingness of space
if you so choose. That's right. Today we are talking

(00:35):
about something new that is coming our way, your way,
my way, everybody's way, very very very very soon. So
get ready to embark on a journey through aviation history
as the Lego Group announces the new Lego Icons Shuttle
Carrier aircraft. Boy, that was a mouthful, huh. This is
a must have for aerospace enthusiasts and Lego fans alike.

(00:56):
The stunning news set allows you to recreate the iconic
Boeing seven four to seven and NASA Space Shuttle Enterprise,
the dynamic duo that played a crucial role in shaping
the future of space travel. Savor every moment as you
bring this iconic tribute to innovation and exploration to life
piece by piece with this twenty four hundred and seventeen

(01:17):
piece set, prepare for liftoff as you craft each detail
of this legendary aerospace duo. The Boeing seven four to
seven features an elegant fuselage design, deployable eighteen wheel landing gear,
and a specialized shuttle mounting system ready to carry history
on its back. Meanwhile, the NASA Space Shuttle Enterprise is

(01:40):
mission ready with an attachable tail cone, detachable engines, and
a stowable landing gear. Tucked inside its cargo bay. A
sturdy display stand with information plaques adds the perfect finishing touch,
transforming this build into a gravity defying show pieces. Unwind
with your own orbit of creativity with this collectible building

(02:03):
set the perfect gift for fans of aviation, science and
space exploration. The Lego Icons Shuttle Carrier aircraft is available
at Lego Insiders for Lego Insiders excuse me on the
fifteenth of May of this year twenty twenty five, at
Lego dot Com, Forward Slash Shuttle and Lego Stores for

(02:24):
everybody else on the eighteenth of May twenty twenty five.
The price on this thing is going to be two
hundred and twenty nine bucks, two hundred and twenty nine
euros and one hundred and ninety nine British pounds. The
great thing about this is it's coming soon. It's coming real,
real soon again. Remember you guys, if you or if

(02:45):
you're a first time listener, a new Ish listener, welcome.
But remember being a Lego insider costs you nothing, so
you can join get that stuff earlier rather than waiting
those extra couple of days. Sometimes it can make a
difference sometimes. Anyway, This is an icon set. Some of
the details here already told you. It's twenty four hundred

(03:05):
and seventeen pieces. We already talked about the price. One
zero three six zero is the set number. The let's
go over some dimensions here. It is fifty three and
a half centimeters wide. It's huge. The length is even longer,
it's sixty three centimeters and the height is a whopping
twenty seven centimeters, so it takes up a good chunk

(03:26):
of change. If you could think of the oh, my
dear god, the British aircraft that we talked about a
while ago. My god, it's leaving my brain at the moment,
the one, oh my goodness, I can't remember. It's gonna
drive me nuts. I did this about two weeks ago.
I was talking to somebody about it, and I cannot
remember AnyWho similar size. I would say, obviously, maybe not

(03:50):
quite as long. I have to go back and look
at the set details of that and probably measure the
one that I have. But anyway, so again it's coming
fast for all the Lego Insider people, and a couple
days later after that for everybody else. I've got to
tell you, this set looks absolutely gorgeous. I I'm an
aviation enthusiast, always have been, always will be until the

(04:12):
day I die. I'm just really kind of I'm really
kind of shocked with what Lego has really chosen to
do here. And what I mean by that is really
really they've really taken the space stuff and really gone
off on a deep end in the best way possible.
They've created something that is absolutely extraordinary that you can have,

(04:36):
you know, forever. I mean, we're talking about moon stuff,
we're talking about deep space stuff, we're talking about satellites, telescopes,
we're talking about aircraft. They're just carrying a space shuttle.
You know, there are so many different things that have
been done, and it just continues to add on and
it continues to get even better. I mean, I think,
what did we have we had the was it the

(04:57):
Apollo eleven Lunar lander? The lander I believe was what
kind of kicked this off, and it was a couple
of years ago, and now we're at this point in
time where they've just continued to, like I said, add
on to more and more and more and more. So
I'm really excited. I hope you guys are excited about
this as much as I am. I got I hope.

(05:19):
But it really looks cool. I really love the idea
that you can separate this thing if you so choose
to be able to, you know, have it kind of
like a separate build if you want. Maybe you do,
maybe you don't. I recall, and I'm sure we can
talk about this one day when we do a review
on this, but I recall there was a Lego I

(05:40):
think it was a Lego town maybe at that point
still where they did this set before, where they had
the Space Shuttle and they had the airplane. The airplane
was I want to say, it was like blue and white.
I believe I had it as a kid. I still
have chunks and pieces of it. I don't have the
entire thing, unfortunately, odd I still wish I did. I'm

(06:01):
sure the pieces are at my parents' home in a tub,
locked away somewhere, but you know, it is it is
what it is. But yeah, so we'll have to definitely
talk about that, you know, in the in the time
capsule kind of deal, because that was a really cool
set for its time, and now you get a full model,

(06:22):
mock up model of this thing like hello, you know,
take my money now, shut up and take my money now,
you know, kind of thing without it out. So the
details and the link to be able to purchase this
set and when it becomes available will be down in
the show notes for everybody, anybody that is curious to
go that way, you know, so it's right there for

(06:43):
you to click on it. If not, you don't have
to do that either. It's just something I like to
be able to do for convenience for some of you,
so that it pulls you straight up to the product
page when there is one given at that time anyway,
so that people have that opportunity. So that's gonna wrap
up this episode of Breaking News. I hope you enjoyed it.

(07:04):
We've got another episode coming real real soon because there's
a lot of things coming our way really really fast,
and we've just gotted so much to touch on. But yeah,
stick around, but that'll wrap it up. I'll talk to
you guys, next time.
