Speaker 1 (00:15):
Breaking news, and today the Lego Group is announcing something
completely different, something that you honestly probably would not expect.
It's not something you can build, believe it or not.
It's something that you can listen to. And we're not
talking about any kind of folly art kind of stuff,
which was you know, unique in its own right back
(00:35):
then with the Bugs that they did their little separate
soundtrack to. No, what I'm talking about today has to
do with Ninjago, and Ninjago has actually got a podcast
that they are going to be releasing starting October seventh. Now,
this idea behind it is really fascinating. I frankly, you know,
(00:56):
being the giant Ninjago fan that I am, I love
the idea of this. However, the one thing that I
am not the biggest fan of is the fact that
I wasn't asked to do this. Obviously, you'll see why
here in a moment. So let's go ahead and get
to the press release and we'll talk about things in
a moment. So it starts out, ever wondered what in
(01:17):
the world podcast from the Ninjago universe would sound like?
Wonder no longer. Get ready for cross Talk, a delightful
new podcast. Here, he's set in Crossroads and hosted by
beloved fan favorites Creole and Lobo. In the cross Talk Podcast,
our intrepid hosts set off to answer important questions like
who stole Lobo's cast roles? Does Fujidov have a secret
(01:39):
love interest? Duh? What happens when you break a cursed vase?
Or vase if you want to sound fancy? And can
you fight a swarm of scabs with a whip? Yes?
You can, I've done it. Will they succeed in their endeavor?
Or was Lobo's mom right when she said he wasn't
talented enough to make a successful podcast? Tune in and
(02:02):
find out. The sixth episode mini series is written by
the iconic Ninjago writing duo Kevin Burke and Chris Wyatt
and brought to life by the original voice actors from
the show. It is aimed for fans from ages six
to fourteen of the Ninjago fame. Adding to the fun,
the series features catchy tunes by Ninjago enthusiasts and jingle
(02:25):
genius Jonathan Pushcar. The first two episodes, as I had mentioned,
will be available on Ninjago dot com on October seventh,
twenty twenty five, with a new episode dropping weekly for
the next four weeks, so a total of six pretty
pretty nice. There will be a teaser beat on September thirtieth, today,
with a trailer that teases the format to a broader audience.
(02:48):
In addition, there will also be a comic in the
Lego magazine, as well as activities in the Lego Play
app to do while you listen. That is pretty cool.
Not only is it just a podcast now and here's
here's the thing. When I initially read the press lease,
so the title, initially, I was like, oh, this is great.
And then I started reading. I was like, Okay, that's
(03:09):
kind of cool. And then I got to the age
and I was like, okay, maybe not. And then then
it got to the app stuff and I was like, okay,
I get it. Now you want kids to listen, you
want kids to have some fun with it. That'll be
a lot of fun just to be able to listen
to it, get into the app, do those kind of things.
I think that'll be something that is successful to a
certain degree. I'll be curious to see what their metrics
(03:32):
look like, because you know you're dealing with six to
fourteen year olds, six year olds. The interest is gonna
be really hard to capture, you know, six, seven, eight, nine, even,
But there's you're gonna have your You're gonna have your
fan base out there. So I wish it all the best.
I really think it is. I think it can be
(03:52):
a lot of fun. So the cast in this is Lobo, Creole,
fedaland Gail Gossip I love It, Tone Rap, Reggie slither Bottom,
Intelligent George Ninjago Fan Infinity, Spinjitsu for ninety for Days
ninety nine, and fugid Love Fugitove. If you don't know
(04:16):
who Fugi Dove or Fuji Dove is, depending how you
it's it's such a great character. It's got so much
stupid lore behind it. And I say stupid in the
in the most positive way possible, because it's just so
it's so insanely ridiculous. But there's there's you could if
you were going to cast a character and have there
(04:39):
nothing really be about the character, not have any real
main focal points to it, but at the same time
has so much lore in the Ninjago universe that could
have its own little spin off. Fugitov would be the
one or would be one of the few that I
could think of, just because the antics just seem so
(05:00):
stupid above and crazy. I think it would be fun anyhow,
I do. I do think this is an interesting little deal.
I think this is gonna be something fun for a
lot of kids. Adults maybe not so much. I will
be tuning in. I'll be definitely interested to see how
it goes. I'm curious to hear it myself, and you know,
(05:23):
podcaster to podcaster, I hope, I hope it does the best.
So that's gonna wrap up Breaking News, this segment of
Breaking News today. So with that said, I'll talk to
you guys next time.
