Speaker 1 (00:15):
Breaking news. And today the Lego group is going to
break the bank. They are going to give you something
that you have never known, that you've always wanted. What
you're gonna get and today we're talking about the Lego
Icon's Tropical Aquarium. That's right, You're getting your very own

(00:36):
tropical aquarium made of pure plastic fish. How crazy is that?
Now you're probably thinking, what on earth are you talking about?
I have no idea this is a thing. How why
I have answers for you? And the answers are I
have no idea and cool at the same time. So

(00:59):
the set Rember that we're talking about is one zero
three sixty six. It is called the Tropical Tropical Aquarium.
It is from the Lego Icons, you know brand that
that side of the house, which is awesome. We always
get great things there, the Peace County and fifty four.
Now brace yourselves. I need you to take a really,

(01:21):
really really deep breath, hold it for me three two
one and release. You're gonna have to show out four
hundred and eighty bucks for this thing. Four hundred and
fifty euro or four hundred British pounds. I know, I know,
Please don't yell at me. Please please, please, please, please,
don't yell at me. The cool thing about this is

(01:41):
that you have an opportunity to be able to get
this before Christmas Orhanika or Kwanza or whatever on the
holiday prior to the holiday season. The launch date of
this puppy is November the thirteenth, twenty twenty five. Like
I said this, you don't have to wait till next year.
You can have it now. Why not have it now

(02:04):
when you could have it next year? No, of course
you don't want it now. Somebody's looking at me saying
four hundred and eighty bucks right before Christmas? Are you crazy?
I am, Yes, I am, but I okay, let's get
to the press release. We'll talk about it and then
I'll share my story. Dive into an immersive project with

a pearl, plus Lego sea snails and air bubbles. Discover

a digital version of the building instructions included with this
diy craft kit set includes four one hundred and fifty
four pieces. Well, my goodness, so much to say, so

(03:33):
much to say in so few words. What an exquisite build,
What an exquisite idea? What a fun way to you know,
ring in the holiday season? My goodness. The cool thing
about this is you don't have any glass panels. There
are no glass panels. It's meant to be, you know,

(03:54):
see through we've had we had an aquarium before. I
want to say it was probably about five years ago,
but it was. I think it was a Creator three
in one if I believe much smaller scale, still really cool.
I'm glad they're doing something like this. It just makes
for more of a fun more of a just more

(04:16):
of a fun experience, you know, being a lego builder,
you know you get to try all these new different things,
which is just now, if you're wondering about to mention,
it is gonna be fourteen inches tall and twenty and
a half inches in length, so that gives you a
rough idea you're talking. I believe it's about a foot deep,

(04:37):
give or take an inch, so that it's gonna take
up a nice bit of space. It's gonna look great
on a shelf. It's gonna look exquisite on a shelf.
Now I did poke through here, you've got a bunch
of different fish. Like they had said, the crab is
really cool. The little rock enclave. It looks like a
table that was sunk into the ocean, and the the

(05:00):
rock or the rock the crab is chilling underneath in there.
But I don't I don't honestly know. But some parts usage.
Let's talk about parts usage, because to be able to
pull something else off like this, you have to be
doing something a little bit different. So we are using
the coral pieces that we already have. I think those
are the same. We're obviously using some clam pieces, some

(05:25):
baguette pieces as well. We've got mop or broom, depending
on how you use it. We've got some I believe
these are like English prey cliched English police helmets. Those
are that is going to be interesting to see in
that kind of weird limeish light lime green color I think.

(05:50):
I don't know if that's lime green or not. I
don't think it is. But we have purple. We have
purple chef's hats that are used here as well for
a plant. So that's that's fun. A bunch of different
foliage pieces that are used in here, different colors of
tiles and stuff like that for these fish. Ah my goodness,

(06:12):
I'm just I'm enamored with this. It's just so cool
looking seeing the crab, the brick built crab, and being
able to have him move in and out. That's kind
of fun, being able to move the fish. There's just
so much here. It's just fun. Now. I already see
some pain points here with seeing some pieces stick out

(06:35):
on the bottom side of some of the leaves that
I'm not gonna like. I can tell you that already. However, again,
not the end of the world. We've got snails in here.
Remember we just talked about the snails on the most
recent one Piece episode where we talked about that. So
we've got a few different snails, some that are climbing

(06:56):
up along the back in the picture, and then some
that are down in the belly of the beast. So
you've got all kinds of different things here. The cranks
appear to be, you know, in good location so that
they don't stick out like a sore thumb. There's not
this big red thing, you know, sticking out the side
of the build or anything, which is great. The one
for the crab, you know, it's looks like a looks

(07:19):
like a rock right next to his little enclave. So
that's that's cool to be able to to be able
to do that. I do like the treasure chest. They
use a mini I think it's maybe a jar now
that I look at it. I thought it was a
mini bottle inside the bottle. That'd have been pretty cool,
But it looks like it's just a mini jar. And
then we've got some gold pieces on the inside, because

(07:41):
you got to have treasure in there. At the bottom
of the sea, there's a hole. There's a hole. There's
a hole in the bottom of the sea. Man. I
knew that was gonna happen anyway. So this is coming,
it's coming fast. You've got about a month to collect
your pennies, and she good luck. This is definitely something

(08:04):
I need. Okay, I don't need. I want. It is
not in need. It is not something that is going
to keep me alive. But my goodness, do I want this?
And the reason is twofold. It's a lego. It looks
really amazing and fun and exciting and vibrant, indifferent, and
it's a talking piece and it has nostalgia for me

(08:28):
built in. And you know how that nostalgia is. It's
a golly. It's a killer. It just smacks you upside
the head when you least expect it, and then it
sucks you in and before you know it, you're four
hundred and eighty bucks deep into an aquarium that you
don't need. But my goodness, it's gonna look great on
a shelf. So the nostalgic piece for me. When I
was a kid, my dad had an aquarium. Don't know

(08:50):
what aquarium sizes, I know it was quite large. It
was on the inside of our laundry room that faced
our reck room in our basement. I grew up in
the north, where we have basements in Texas. We don't
do that here. Why in Tornado Alley? I have no idea.
We just don't. But we had that. My dad's a
carpenter by nature, and had this exquisitely built tank and

(09:16):
had all kinds of cool fish in it, and I
mean it was it was a labor of love. He
absolutely loved doing it. We had it for I don't
even know how long. We had it for quite a
long time, and then for some reason, I'm not sure
why he got rid of it. I wasn't privy to
those discussions, but I should have stayed awake at night

(09:38):
and you know, peaked my ear out through the doorway
to be able to hear you know, when they decided
to get rid of it. No, I don't know. I
don't know. But I grew to love it. And it
was fun to watch the fish, and it was fun
to feed the fish. I was even better yet, it
was fun to watch the fish poop, because fish pooh
is absolutely hilarious because it's long and stringy and it's

(10:02):
just kind of weird, at least in the fish that
we had. I don't know if it's all the fishers, hey,
we're not. But as a kid, it was so magical
and seeing all these different fish. I remember we had
an angel fish in there, and we had all kinds
of fish. I don't know, but it was really cool.
If I'm not mistaken, I could be making this up

(10:23):
in my own head, but I swear i'm not. I
vaguely recall that we had a crab in there. I
think I swear that was a thing and that it escaped.
I'm gonna have to ask my parents, but I'm almost
certain that was a thing they had escaped at some
point in time, because you know, crabs are crazy, man,
They are wanderers and they they can book it if

(10:47):
they want to anyway. So that is the nostalgic factor
for me. So that is something that it's like, oh
my goodness, one need will buy have to have, you know,
because it's it's just too much fun. It's too much
fun not to have something up online. This. So yeah,

(11:07):
that is your breaking news segment. This is your aquarium.
This is your aquarium talking to you, wanting you to
purchase it, wanting you to pick it up off the
shelve and you hold it with a big old grin
on your face, like, oh, look at I got that's
what it is wanting you to do. So that wrap
up this segment of breaking news. I'll talk to you
guys next time.
