How you feel I mean, I mean right there, it's
gotta be honest champaign, which is carry out dreams, first
class treatment.
Speaker 6 (03:22):
Everybody gotta be treating you real good right now. How
does it feel? Talk to me?
Speaker 7 (03:26):
Oh, it feels so good. It's like kind of hard
to believe. Double Champion. I went from having no titles
to two titles in the time span of like three months,
so it's been a quick turnaround. But it feels damn good.
I feel like I'm finally getting the recognition and the
respect that I feel like I've deserved for so long.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
You feel like you're winning that NXT women's title was
obviously awesome, especially in the way that you did it.
You kind of shot the world and then went out
there and did the same exact thing for the Knockouts Championship.
People felt like they were counting you out, but.
Speaker 5 (03:59):
You keep proving yourself. You know that you are the
rock star. It's got to feel validating.
Speaker 7 (04:04):
Yeah, it's definitely style dating. Like, I don't really know
why people have written me off for so long. I
guess maybe because I've been in a lot of groups,
or I was always the tag team wrestler and they
never really saw me on my own. I'm not really
sure what it was, but I've been dying to show
the world what I'm capable of for so long. So
now that I'm getting the chance to, I'm like, haduh,
(04:26):
you know, you have no idea who I am, Like,
you have no idea what I'm capable of. So it
feels good.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
I can see some parallels between JC and you book,
you know, being a tag team wrestler, always trying to
break out.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
Yeah, yeah, you know, not being the chosen one, right,
you know, got to go out there and do the
extra work.
Speaker 5 (04:42):
Win by attrician, yeah, win by.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
Attrition, you know, and sometimes you know, you find yourself
in those dark places. What what you do to you know,
get through those dog places, you know, finding yourself, you know,
wondering am I gonna make it?
Speaker 6 (04:53):
You know, how'd you keep the strengths going?
Speaker 7 (04:57):
So I feel like it was kind of there were
obviously ups and downs, Like I feel like at one
point I just kind of got complacent and I was like,
I've always been on TV. There's never been a time
that I was taken off TV or I wasn't in
a storyline. It was just I was not, you know,
like you said, one of the chosen ones, one of
the main girls. So I feel like I got complacent
(05:18):
for a minute and was like, well, at least I'm
still on TV. Like could be worse, I guess. But
then I remember having a talk with Creative and Sean
and they basically were like, you know, you need to
be consistent, like you're a great number two, you're just
not in number one yet. And I took that so personal,
like that lit such a fire under me, and I
(05:41):
was like, oh, really I'm not number one? Okay, Okay,
So then I got super motivated. I started taking night
classes on top of my regular training at the PC.
I was training my ass off for months, just waiting
for a chance, and then when I got the chance,
I showed everyone like even sleeping on me for this long.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
You know, before that episode of NXT if you and
Stephanie vach heir for the title was there was there
a conversation leading up into that because you know, again
we are in the unreal era in WWE now, so
I'm curious.
Speaker 5 (06:13):
Because we're pulling the cart and bag.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
Was there a conversation leading up to that, like, Hey,
we think we're about to pull the trigger? Did you
find out that day? And if so, like, what was
your reaction when you got the news.
Speaker 7 (06:24):
So no, I had no idea what was going on.
There was a pay per view in Tampa or sorry,
premium long event in Tampa, I think Sunday night before
I had won the title, and one of the writers
just like very nonchalantly was like, oh, You've about to
step me on Tuesday for the title and I was like, oh, okay, cool.
And then I had gotten there that day. I wasn't
(06:48):
told I was winning. I was actually told it was
a DQ finish and then basically right before doors opened,
they let me in on what was happening. So it
was very all surprising. It was very last minute, Like
I was.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
I was shocked, you know, for me my first world title.
I was so shocked, you know. I was like, man,
I wanted to celebrate so bad. But I remember getting
to my hotel room and I sat on the edge
of the bed and I'm holding the title and uh
and then I just laid back and I ended up
(07:22):
just you know, like dozing off and going to sleep.
And I woke up the next morning. I didn't go out,
I didn't party or anything. So I was because I
was I was like, man, I didn't know if the
people was going to accept me in that position.
Speaker 6 (07:33):
How did you feel winning?
Speaker 4 (07:35):
And you know what you thinking about the fans and
you know what they're going to be thinking a happy
for a year, you.
Speaker 6 (07:40):
Know, being in that position.
Speaker 7 (07:43):
I feel like that day there was just so much
going on. I was just trying to like stay focused
and keep it together. So I feel like before I
won the title, I didn't even think about any of that,
like what are the fans going to think? Like where's
everyone else gonna think? Like that really never crossed my mind.
I was just more folks on, like I need to
go out there and have a good match. Like put
(08:04):
on a banger and like I knew it was Stephanie
send off in a way, So I was like, I
want to give her a great match, like I want
this to be memorable. Yeah, that's all I was thinking about.
And then afterwards, like then I saw everybody's reactions. I
was like, damn, like we got them. We got so good,
Like I didn't think people would react as crazy as
(08:25):
they did. Like I got so much hate after that,
Like I've never really dealt with hate that bad, And
I was, oh my god, I'm crazy. It was like
a total one eighty in like two hours. Yeah, I
don't know. I feel like it didn't even really hit
me that I won the title until like a few
days later. I had come home from training and I
(08:47):
saw the title on my dresser in my room, and
I was like, damn, like you're really the champion, Like
this is crazy.
Speaker 5 (08:54):
Yeah, you did it.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
You did it, and you know everything that you've been
doing with Fatal Influence and in it in TNA, it's
been something for me as a fan. I love the
back and forth and the in betweens and getting to
see the crossover collaboration with TNA what have You and
the rest of Fatal Interaction, thought about Fatal Influence, excuse me?
Speaker 5 (09:15):
Thought about that crossover.
Speaker 7 (09:19):
It's it's been cool. I feel like it's given us
a different perspective of things, Like we're so used to
the way everything runs in WW that going to a
different company and seeing things run a little different, it
was kind of like a shock. I forgot how things
work outside of B But I think, especially for me,
the crossover has been extremely beneficial. Like I feel like
(09:42):
that's kind of what put me on the map as
a singles wrestler, Like I had a championship match with
Nasha when I first crossed over to TNA the very
first time, and I feel like that's what got people
talking about me a little bit. They're like, oh, damn okay,
jac actually can go in the ring, Like I've never
really seen her like that before. And I kind of
feel like the crossover jumped like my career, like it
(10:06):
started it in a different way and like a more
positive light for me. So I've loved working at DNA.
I think they've given me really great opportunities. You get
to work with different people, which is always good for yourself,
like it helps you grow as a performer. So yeah,
I think it's been a really cool crossover. I know
the fans aren't totally happy, but we enjoy it.
Speaker 4 (10:28):
Opportunity. Damnit, Champ Champ. What are we talking about here?
We're talking about Champ Champ.
Speaker 6 (10:34):

you know, and your success.

Speaker 4 (11:04):

For you, JC, I really truly believe that. There again,
congratulations on all all of your success. What do you

leave up out of the Hall of Favior.

always there for me and you always gave me pep
talks in my not so great moments, So I very
much appreciate you. And as for everybody else, you are
just gotten a taste of what I'm capable of. There's
so much more to come. I can't wait to keep
(11:46):

I slept in that ring. And you know, I hope
you all enjoy the ride. Ooo.
