Monty the Lurcher has probably become the most famous dog in the West Country - mainly because of his occasional newspaper column in the Western Morning News and Western Daily Press newspapers. But he got very old and very tired - and eventually he died this week. In this episode of The Column, Martin Hesp explains how it all came about and also talks about his emotions after seeing his 15 year old faithful friend go to meet his maker.
