- Een handelsdeal tussen de VS en de EU lijkt dichtbij, nu de VS en Japan vandaag zo'n deal hebben gesloten. Eurocommissaris Sefcovic spreekt in ieder geval vandaag opnieuw met de Amerikaanse handelsminister Lutnick over een handelsdeal.
- De Italiaanse bank geeft z'n overnamestrijd toch op: ze hebben geen interesse meer in de Italiaanse concurrent Banco BPM. Dat meldde de bank vlak voor publicatie van de kwartaalcijfers vanochtend. Dit geeft UniCredit de handen vrij voor een andere bank die ze graag inlijven.
