Een duidelijke boodschap vandaag voor de regering: Nederland is verplicht om een genocide in een andere land te voorkomen. Zo niet, dan is Nederland mede-verantwoordelijk. Dat stelt de Commissie van Advies inzake Volkenrechtelijke Vraagstukken (CAVV).

- De Verenigde Naties komen vanaf vandaag in Genève bijeen om een oplossing te vinden voor het probleem van plasticvervuiling. Al sinds 2022 proberen de landen dit. Maar tot dusverre zonder succes. Toch zijn er ook veel partijen die graag snel een akkoord willen zien, zegt Drea Berghorst, directeur Plastics Europe Nederland.
