(00:20):
Thank you. Welcome to the Delvin Cox

(01:18):
Experience, the podcast which each week I'm on a one man
mission to you now coast to university.
I'm your host. Delvin Cox with me on the
podcast My boy, my brother EddieV.
How you doing bro? Hello everybody.
Hello, Devin. How are you?
It's great. Great man.
I'm doing actually great man. You know, for those who don't
know, Eddie V is from the Boss Rush podcast network.
They do podcast things. They do talk about a lot of

(01:40):
video game things and particularly Eddie likes to talk
about Nintendo stuff. So in a minute we'll get some
Nintendo stuff because apparently some big things
happened. This has been a wild week when
it comes to the Nintendo in particular.
So we're going to talk about it though.
But as always, we like to start the podcast off with a 5 for
five, five questions, 5 as to get the ball rolling.

(02:02):
Eddie, Are you ready? Let's roll.
Question number one, Eddie, whenyou think of Nintendo, what is
the first thing to come to your mind?
When I think of Nintendo, I think of innovation.
Nintendo has been kind of the leading force for the video game

(02:25):
industry with their consoles, with their handhelds, with their
games and even gameplay mechanics.
It's just that when, when I think of Nintendo, I think of
how many other systems try to, you know, trying to take what
they have created and make it better or make it their own

(02:46):
version. And Nintendo just they're just a
leader in innovation when it comes to video games.
I agree, just a good answer, really good answer.
Question #2 Eddie, we just got the Lego Minecraft Movie, not
Lego Minecraft, the Minecraft, which is essentially Legos

(03:08):
anyway because Minecraft. I feel like Minecraft is Lego,
but we just got the Minecraft movie Storm pretty good.
The Mario movies did pretty good.
Sonic Movie did pretty good. Say the least.
What's the next franchise you think they should make a movie
of video games? OK, so I really think Control

(03:39):
will make a nice action thriller, horror kind of movie.
I think they could take that game from Remedy and like really
go in a direction that would be unexpected.
Like they don't have. They could take elements from
the first Control, but really just make it like I, I want to

(04:00):
say kind of like David Lynch's alittle bit, but like really give
it a action for a thriller kind of feel to it and do cool camera
angles. Psycho powers tell some of the
back story that we don't know about or how you know everything
came about. Even though they they talk about

(04:21):
a little bit in the game, I think they can really flesh it
out in movie in in the movie where they can visually show
what really happened and have itconnected to the gangs and the
Remedy verse. You know what, that is actually
a great answer. I didn't even think about
control. That's a great answer for video
game movie. I like that one.

(04:42):
That's a great answer. All right, question #3 what is
your favorite thing about podcasting?
For everything about podcasting,it's definitely connecting with
other people who would like to talk.

(05:04):
Just different topics. You know, it's the, it's always
the conversations that I'm having with people, whether it's
for video games, real life issues, political comedy fields,
whatever. There's something about having
that recorded conversation that is just so fun and engaging.

(05:28):
And then when it gets out, seeing people react to it,
giving their opinions, whether they want to critique it or, you
know, want to say they agree or disagree or anything, or just
say that's a hot take. Something about when, when it
comes to podcasting, it's definitely the conversations and
the way that I'm having it with so many people around the world.

(05:51):
I love it, it's a great answer question #4 What do you think is
your most controversial video game hot take?
Oh, that Grand Theft Auto 5 is garbage.
Oh, you think it's garbage? You don't think?
It's it's it's it's full on garbage.

(06:12):
That's a hot take. What do you like about it?
I I don't like the controls. I don't like what the controls I
simplify. I don't like that the game was
forgettable. Nothing is memorable in that
game. I don't like some of the bugs
that they had. There was, I was saying I think

(06:33):
the 4th or 5th mission where I am See, that's is it CJ.
I think where? I think whatever the black
character is and I like Tim, I like CJI, like the voice
character, voice for him, the voice actor and everything.
I I could have just did his one,but I didn't care for the other
story stuff. Well, there's a car chase that
you're supposed to do and for some unknown reason, because of

(06:54):
the controls are being bad and it wasn't my fault.
I was trying to drive and I hit something and it said game fail.
I failed the mission. I'm like I just started.
I just started on the gas 10 seconds that it came out.
Then I started the mission. I hit something in this field.

(07:15):
I'm like no his his his friend was annoying.
I wish we had the option to killhim that the helicopter sees fly
in that game. It's nonsense.
It's terrible. Grand Theft Auto 5 is a waste of
time for gay and the only reasonwhy I bought the game is because

(07:41):
at the time when it came out I got it for PS3 and I beat the
whole game. The reason I bought that game is
because I was getting a $50.00 gift card and I used that $50.00
gift card at Toys-R-Us so I could get Wind Waker HD for
Switch before Wii. U There are several things I
like about this answer. One that you bought it and beat

(08:05):
it so you can you have the rightto have an opinion because you
played the game completely. You know, I think a lot of
people, they complain about things they don't say they
didn't, they never played the game completely and never got
enough into it to really make anopinion on it. 2 The fact that
you bought the game so long ago that Toys-R-Us was still around

(08:25):
is wild. And three, that you bought it to
get Winwreck HD that tells you that dates how long ago this
was. So that's awesome.
Question #5 Give me your top five not favorite but most

(08:47):
memorable characters in video game.
Memorable. Definitely VV from Final Fantasy
9. I'm I'm definitely Mario in
Luigi. Well the Mario universe, but
normally Mario because of playing Mario brothers on the

(09:10):
target 2600, you know, was part of my video game experience.
I forgot that was. On 2600.
Yeah, yeah. So definitely Mario.
It's just like hit the whole game and stuff final.
It's Final Fantasy Lulu for Final Fantasy 10.

(09:30):
Like she's just just super iconic.
Definitely as the Black Mage, one of the best black majors
ever for it. Phoenix Wright as a lawyer.
As a lawyer he is completely just funny and hilarious.

(09:52):
And then #5 is going to be Ryu for Street Fighter.
He was my main, still my main with Akuma being second.
But I learned Street Fighter andfighting games through using Ryu
so those are like my 5 memorablecharacters.

(10:13):
I love it, I love it. You know, I also use Ryu as my
main as Street Fighter. We, we, we kind of bond in that.
I love my room. Yes.
Which is funny because I don't play as Ken.
You know, the The funny thing about Ken is I can't play in his

(10:33):
Street Fighter two, but three and the alpha Gaze I can 'cause
he has a different move set and he's like really dangerous.
If you in learn him inside out, he's a threat.
Yeah, I just can't get into playing this Kev, even when they
have it. I think it was Alpha is one of

(10:55):
the street fight again. I think it was A2 or something
like that where they gave him the dragon uppercut and his shot
fire out of it. Like I don't want to do
something. Yeah, Alpha.
Yeah, it was Alpha. That's that's when they I think
they changed it in Alpha. Yeah, I was like, right, who's
my guy? You all right?
So let's let's get right to it, Eddie.

(11:15):
Yes. This was the last two weeks has
been a a big week and no in gaming, but I guess for
Nintendo, but also gaming in general, because you know,
Nintendo, they announced their new console to switch to and
they showed everything about it.And well, first let's get to
this part of it. What did you think of the of the

(11:35):
conference of the show and hold on building up the switch to
thing. Oh, I thought.
It was a 10/10. I thought it was a perfect ten
because they show that, you know, yes, their system is, is
powerful. You know, they're they went out
and got some great third party, whether it's ports or new games,

(11:57):
you still got Indies, you got amazing looking first party
games. Mario Kart World is going to be
World Tour. It's going to be like crazy
because it's open world. Me and my friend Corey, we was
talking about it that there's a lot of content that could be
come to the game and it could befor free definitely for NSL

(12:20):
members. We finally got Gang Cube on
there, the mouse controls on there.
It's going to allow developers to bring their PC version of
games to switch to. Like it's going to be like kind
of like a all in one console forme and for other games.

(12:43):
It's weird that people are are complaining about the system.
But I'm just, we'll get to that part.
Look at that one. Don't go too far, I.
I I, I know that just one of thecomplaints that when we get to
it is that, you know, we heard that people want the same thing
but a more powerful system. And it seems that Nintendo is

(13:05):
doing that. And so the controversy about it
is kind of weird at this time. Yeah, well, let's, let's get
right to it because I like, I think when people watch the
press conference, I guess the Direct, let's just call it
because that's what it's called. There was a lot of positive
things, a lot of positive energyas the Direct went on, people

(13:27):
were like loving everything. You know, Metroid would like
show it a little bit and they will say it switched to and all
this stuff and all of these things that were shown.
The Duncan Cone came, looked awesome, then the Direct ended,
and then the details about the switch came out.
Yes. Not necessarily about the switch

(13:47):
itself, the things you saw, but about the pricing.
Yes. And the first thing that kind of
kind of got the internet's ride was the Switch being at, I think
it's 450. It was announced at. 449 for the
price for the basic one and then500 for the.

(14:09):
One with Mario. Kart with Mario Kart, yes.
So people got a little upset about that, and then people saw
the price of Mario Kart Deluxe coming in at a whopping $80.00,
Yes, and that's when the Internet had a full meltdown.

(14:34):
People had a full meltdown for attention.
Not saying that this is anythingnew, think a lot of people don't
realize that Fantasy Star on themaster system was about $80.
Super Nintendo games in N64 games were were about $80.00.

(14:56):
There's games now that are, you know, I mean like collectors
versions of games that you barely get anything that's
around like 80 or 100 some dollars and they don't come with
a lot. So I think people trust they
they acted for attention to be mad.

(15:19):
I'm like, OK, $80.00 for open world gay.
I'm like, OK, that's very reasonable for the Nintendo
because you know that they consistently are giving you
something for it. You're going to get a lot of not
just replay value, but you're going to get some entertainment.
You're going, There's a lot of things that we don't know that's
still in this game that they probably have plans for this and

(15:43):
we may get it. We may get it for free.
Definitely for NSO members, we, we may actually get a whole
Nother Land as an expansion for free for this game for
everybody, whether you an NSO player or or or not, you know,
even, or if you even are just a basic NSO player at the $20 mark

(16:03):
you might get something for it. So it's kind of just like a one
time fee. We we want to complain about
this but we never say OK what about Call of Duty or Destiny or
any other game that has some expansion that is having you pay
almost 40 plus dollars for content for some DLC content.

(16:26):
So you already paid above and more for a game that's like
that? And see, this is where I want to
have you on because you have a different opinion and a
different take on everything that's been happening.
So I, I thought I'd be interested to hear your opinion
on it. See, I didn't know, to be clear,
I didn't know what your opinion was on.
I just figured it'll be a fascinating conversation.

(16:47):
So in your words, you're fine with the the system increase and
the price increase for the MarioKart essentially?
Yeah, because there's going to be other games that's going to
be at different prices of Sony and it's Sony and Microsoft
maybe ended up doing the same thing for games that you might

(17:07):
only get in about 12 or 15 hoursand party and six of that might
just be cut scenes actually. And.
See, that's the thing that I think people were worried about
because they see Nintendo kind of opening the door, that $80.00
price range. They think other companies will
follow suit and they may not offer the same quality.

(17:28):
So the thing about it is people complain when Microsoft was
suddenly jumped up to the $70 mark, People complain when they
jumped off to the $6 mark, but we complaining about prices.
But when the gangs come out, theplace are gone, they get Tears
of the Kingdom. Tears Against the Kingdom was
$70.00. The gang came out, spent 10
million in three days. And who's been talking about the

(17:50):
price ever since? Who's been literally talking
about prices of gangs ever sincethey got released?
It's just become a big a big stink because we heard and saw
that the price for Mario Kart is$80.00.
When Mario Kart, when Mario KartWorld Tour come out, nobody
gonna say anything. So let me ask you this thing,

(18:13):
'cause I think that's a good point, 'cause you know, Tears of
the Kingdom came out and it was $70.00 and people complained a
little bit, but I didn't really hear that much fear about it
'cause I think people liked thatgame that much.
Like like the the Zelda game that much, you didn't really
didn't hear much about it because I think because Breath
of the Wild was so expansive andit's a game that you can

(18:35):
literally play for like 100 hours.
I think Tillers came out, playedlike 120 hours of people felt
like, OK, this is worth the price of $70.00.
And I think that's the really fascinating thing about this.
I don't think people people feellike, OK, certain games can get
this, but we don't want all games costing this price.

(18:55):
So let me ask you this, Eddie, where do you think in terms of
price the line is drawn? Where do you say, OK, this is
too much to play for a video game or this is too much to pay
for a console? Where are you like all right,
this is a bit much now. There is no lie there.
There really is no lie. We pay up close to 100 plus for

(19:17):
our favorite game of ours. If there was a collector's
edition, we pay 70 plus with with expansions with extra
characters. We play stuff in Fortnite that
we already parties that we already party made them spend
Fortnite came on that $60.00 on the OR yeah, $6050 or 60 on PS3

(19:39):
in Xbox on the original version and then when?
It say the world version. Yes, the the original version
that came out and then when theywhen they switch it to the Club
G kind of style game, the battleRoyale game, you know, they made
it free. We have people have already
spent past the $60.00 or whatever the price point is for

(20:01):
that game and it's been out for years.
But that Moat has been out for years.
So there really isn't no like price point.
We're like, well, I'm not gonna pay it.
OK, You know, the only way that we really felt that way is when
the Neo Geo came out. Neo Geo was $600.00 and the
gangs were like $200.00 or $100 because they were arcade ports

(20:25):
of gangs. We as kids in the 90s could not
afford that. Our parents could not afford
that. If we knew somebody who had a
Neo Geo, we probably would have been like, OK, that's cool, you
got the most expensive console on the market.
But I could also go to the arcade and put $0.25 in and play

(20:47):
this game. You can't do that now nowadays.
Yeah, So I I like, I see, I likethis conversation right now
because you're saying the the quiet powered out loud.
Yeah, I come, you're like there is to you.
There is no line. There is no cost that you
wouldn't pay to like to play thegame you want.

(21:09):
And I kind of Dick that you're saying that like, hey, you know,
you know, they want to charge $100 for what?
I'm fine with that because this is the cost of it and it's the
cost of the system. The cost, the cost, this is what
I want. I'm all in.
And that's if you want to buy itat the time of its release or
whatever. There's always sales.
You could always wait for them to drop the price or a store

(21:31):
thrown a sale for everybody to go out and get that game or, you
know, get a ditchy or get a physical leave.
You know why you think that? A lot of people say, oh, I got
so many games in my Steam catalog.
Well, because you waited for a Steam sale to happen where the
game used to be 5999 or whatever.

(21:52):
Now it's $2.49. That's when you snagged it.
Yeah. OK.
Yeah. You standing at 249?
The game is probably about four years old.
Yeah. Oh, you just got you just got
Rise of Tomb Raider. Yeah.
Rise of Tomb Raider has been outsince the Xbox One.
That's kind of how that works with with those type of games,

(22:13):
you know, just kind of like waitfor the sale and get it if you
want to get it. You know, Steam does a good job
with when it comes to giving yougood prices for games like every
if you look on Steam, that's always a game on sale, always a

(22:33):
deal. And sometimes there are new
games. There's a lot of places you can
find games that for cheaper thanthe value that's on the system.
Like as long as you have a Steamconsole, whether it's a Steam
Deck or Ally or something like or PC for that matter, you can
find these games relatively cheaper than anywhere else.
But the flip side of that is, and I think this is the thing
with Nintendo fans, is not with Nintendo products.

(22:57):
Nintendo products are only on Nintendo consoles.
So if you want to play Mario Kart World Tour legally, you got
to pay $80. Right.
There's so many publishers and developers who wish they could
do what Nintendo do when it comes to prices because they
know that those games are going to sell.

(23:19):
Like I always said, you don't snack the snack the copy when it
comes out. Now is when people come who
could buy games. If you don't snack the copy when
it comes out, oh, you best believe the collectors are going
to raise the price when you are going to try to find it, but you
can't find it in stores and you don't want the digital they're

(23:39):
going to Jack up the price like crazy.
Yeah, that's very true, Very, very true.
So let me let me ask you this, since we're talking about it
right now. If things could not get worse
with this kind of situation withNintendo's going through, all of

(24:03):
a sudden these tariffs get announced to be happening and
Nintendo pauses the pre-orders of the consuls in the US because
they're waiting for the tariff to go through and see how much
it's going to affect the cost ofthe Switch console.

(24:24):
So bad enough we had sticker shock with the initial price of
the what, 44449? Yes, 449 slash $500 based on
which one you get. Now you added to the cost of the
tariffs coming into play at an additional cost.

(24:45):
So now I have to ask you, Eddie, what do you think about this
aspect of things? So Nintendo stated that they're
sit there holding the free orders because they want to see
how this tariff thing is going there.
All the flipping around the terrace that's already
happening. And at this time that 1% orange

(25:07):
man has put like a pause for 90 days.
So that's messing, messing with everybody's money and marketing
and plans around the world. So I think Nintendo is just like
we want to make sure that when it comes to the pre-orders at
least that we could roll it out, wrote it out and figure out how

(25:29):
we're going to handle the situation.
Now they say they at this point in time, they said they're not
raising the price of the systems.
It's going to be whatever it is.But like for the pre-orders,
they're just trying to figure out how everything is going to
be affected because of the tariffs, which is a smart

(25:51):
business move on Nintendo because we even here at America,
don't know what's going on with the tariffs itself.
Yes. So, OK, let me ask you this
because did you hear the other aspect of it, because there was
this thing where people trying to get around the tariffs
ordering and and the pre-orders were ordering their consoles to

(26:15):
come to the United States from other companies countries.
Yeah, and those countries were canceling those pre-orders.
Yeah, that I have not heard. I know people have been in talks
on trying to see how they could get around it, but I haven't

(26:35):
heard anyone saying that they was actually going to go that
route. So at this point of time, I
can't really give a answer to that until I see more.
I know with the Japanese one that's like $385 or three or
three something or 380 or whatever, that system is region

(26:58):
locked and it only plays the Japanese games.
So you can't play no American games if you get that version
sent to you. I think What people think once
the game comes out and people could go to play Asia or any
system. So once that console comes out

(27:19):
and play Asia's like it's selling it and stuff, they may
try to get around it that way. But it actually depends at that
at this time. But yeah, to answer that
question, I don't have enough information just yet.
Yeah, I think this is this is anunprecedented time because we

(27:40):
have these situations where people like the company doesn't
know what's what's going on. Like I'll give you a good
example where this thing just came up today.
Nintendo has indefinitely delayed the launch of the
Nintendo Switch in China, a report from Nikki reveals.

(28:03):
The Nintendo has started to postpone the release of Nintendo
Switch 2 in China. According to report, this
indefinite delay comes from Nintendo waiting to see what
demand exists for the Switch to before it's launched in China.
See, now all these kind of things are happening all at one
point in time. And it's like wow, this went
from one of the most biggest launches in history and we keep

(28:27):
seeing these hurdles and these things happen like before,
before the thing even launches. Like, you know, we don't even
have pre-orders yet. And it's just so much things
going into it. Yeah, because of the stuff
that's going on in China, China with the economics and stuff, I
could see why they will pause ituntil being settled down.

(28:47):
They figure out what's going on and then they could go with
their business. They can roll out their business
there. So let me ask you the oh, I
found the the other message I was talking about.
So let me read this one to you. Amazon UK customer service

(29:12):
saying they will not ship to theUS and will cancel any order
from the US. So there you have it.
If you well, I think Amazon US them, I think because they lost
their selling license with Nintendo, something about

(29:34):
Nintendo. Like Amazon UK, they can't ship.
They can't ship to the US for the Switch too.
Yeah, I, I think it's a import thing, import export and that
may be, that may be a trade thing also.
I, I wonder, I think people could probably buy it like if

(29:57):
you live, live in it UK and thenship it themselves to someone in
the US, 'cause I, I think we don't know what that cost is
going to be at this time. So I can understand reason or
why they wouldn't, the UK wouldn't ship to America with
that system. Maybe it has to deal with the

(30:22):
trading and the importing and exporting of the system and the
prices and stuff. So I could I could understand
that. Yeah, it's it's interesting and
preceding time. So let me ask this, Eddie, do
you think any of this will actually affect affect the sales
of the switch too in general? No, I don't think so.

(30:45):
I think if Nintendo still keeps it at the price that there is, I
think we will be fine as long asthey could get a steady Rd. out
of the systems that's out to stores so people can go and buy
it. I think that Nintendo will be
just fine. There's there's like, like I

(31:06):
said earlier, because of the waythat this market is going,
everybody's, everybody's, you know, business is changing.
They're trying to they're tryingto adjust.
But I think Nintendo be like, once things get settled, once we
get this road out, hopefully people people could just go in,
ask for the system, pay, pay forit, get some games and then go

(31:31):
home and enjoy what the system has to offer.
Yeah, let me, let me ask you this, Eddie.
So let's get in the more happiernews about the Switch to what
games are you excited for? What games are you anticipating?
Becky Come Bonazza, Beth Lee, dim dim X machina, Titanic Seon.

(32:04):
That game looks so gorgeous, I'msuper excited for it.
That is the follow up to Damon XMachina that came onto the
Nintendo Switch which has still has one of the bombers trailers
ever. I am going to get Final Fantasy
7 Rebirth integrated because I don't have my PS5 just yet and

(32:25):
I'm hoping that when the Switch version comes out they do
announce the Xbox version. If not, I definitely will be
just getting the Switch version 'cause I haven't played the UC.
DLCI have beat it regular Final Fantasy.
Let's see what else goodness there is.
I am going to get Welcome Tour and I'm getting Welcome Tour

(32:50):
because as you know, the head ofNintendo content at Boss Rush,
you know, I want to be able to play it, do a review in case of
and no one else does it under review and really see what that
thing this has to offer. Because I don't feel like it's
just a tech demo. I feel like there's a lot of us
to offer. We just see the minimalist of it

(33:12):
and thinking this is like, oh, this is pretty much an indie
style game. There probably won't be much on
it. I'm like, there's probably a lot
in here we just don't know about.
So I am definitely going to pickthat up.
I think Dragon Drive I'm going to get I'm going to pick up
because I think it's cool to seea game like that and, you know,

(33:37):
play it and get a feel of how dopeople in wheelchairs, you know,
play basketball and everything. I know it's the name of sport.
I'm. Not playing that game.
I, you know, what I, I am and hopefully I, I won't try to do
it with you because I think the thing about it is, is that it

(33:58):
gives us that experience or ideaof for people who are not, or
people whose lives are on like that, who do, who are in, you
know, not, don't want to say they bounce a wheelchair, but
who are in a wheelchair and wantto still play sports and
experience basketball. We finally get to, you know, do

(34:19):
it as they feel for it. You know, we could talk about
the graphics, we could talk about the gameplay or and
whatever, but I want to see how this plays.
I want to be able to talk about it and, you know, not only do a
review, but give, give my experience.
This is what I got to play and learn and you know, and see how

(34:44):
this game goes. I think there's more to it.
I think we just, you know, we catch a eye, we we see it, give
our opinion, whether it's good or harsh, and then make that as
our front of word without even playing everything.
And I think sometimes that's really unfair for us as gamers

(35:04):
to do that. No, we're not.
And I, and I'm, I'm guilty sometimes of seeing it because I
did it for Horizon, not Horizon 0 da, where I was just like, oh,
this game looks da, da, da, da, da.
But then I got it and I played it.
I'm like, oh, Guerrilla Games proved me wrong.
I was just like, I adjust this game because of the way it looks

(35:25):
and some of the stuff that just feels like it's really stupid.
But then I'd be like, oh, you guys are talking about racial
things, you guys are talking about discrimination, you guys
are talking about this and that.Gameplay is fun and everything.
I'm like, oh y'all really went in?
It's not just about pretty graphics and hunting.
This is deeper than what it is so.

(35:48):
Yeah, I think that's really goodthat you and you're correct.
I think a lot of times we get these games and we don't know
what to expect and sometimes thefirst impression is not the best
impression of the game. So we kind of have our
preconceived notions about it, and once we play it, we get a
whole new mindset. And I think that's horizontal.
Dawn is a perfect example of that because I think there are a

(36:09):
lot of people who weren't hyped for that.
And then they play like, no, this game is actually really
good. Yeah, And of course the word
tour, Mario World Tour, I'm going to get like that's that's
the, you know, that's a must. Pretty much all the Nintendo
stuff that's coming out, even inKirby Air Riders, I'm going to

(36:29):
get not wait for the gang key stuff because I want to play
Soul Calibur with Link again andbeat people with the this big
hammer. Oh, I'm so excited for that.
Yeah, that's going to be a good one.
That's going to be a lot of fun to play Soul Calibur 2 again.
Get back in that in that world of Soul Calibur game.
I used to like those games a lot, especially the Switch one

(36:50):
with Link. Yes.
Is it going to be it's going to be just direct port of that one?
Yes, that's going to be the onlyone, because I don't think Soul
Calibur 2 is coming to any otherconsole.
So right. I don't know why if you know why
I was asking. I was asking that because if I

(37:11):
remember correctly, Soul Calibur2 is the one that had different
characters based on what system you.
Had yeah it is so Nintendo had Link, PlayStation had Hai Hai
Chi because Tekken was like exclusive to PlayStation and Spa
was Soul Calibur 2 on Xbox. Correct, it was.

(37:33):
Soul Calibur, yeah, Soul Calibur3 came out that has an Xbox, but
they had the Star Wars characters.
And yes, I forgot what PlayStation had.
I think it was another ticket character I think.
Was was PlayStation Kratos? It might have been for Soul

(37:55):
Calibur 3. It may have been.
I think it might have. Been Kratos.
I know Mortal Kombat bad Kratos.I didn't have Mortal Kombat 9 on
PlayStation. Yeah, I think Kratos was in Soul
Calibur 3. Maybe I think so, yeah.

(38:17):
I'm super excited for Switch. I think it looks good.
I think the price is a little high, but I think the Switch has
earned it. How great the Switch 1 is.
I think you know the Switch to paying this price for them.
I think what the games is comingout for, you know?
So, and this is The funny thing about the price.
I know that it's high, but I wasthinking about PlayStation 5 Pro

(38:41):
and it's like $700.00. And you see how people, you see
how people flip that it didn't come with a dish drive.
Some people spent a additional $100 to have a dish drive for
the gay, for the system. And it's just like, OK, we're
complaining about the price. But don't forget, you also

(39:01):
complain when Sony had to raise the price of the PlayStation 5
everywhere. You know correct.
Like I was talking to my friend Andre in Canada.
We he was on our Nintendo Directrecap about it.
I asked him what is the price ofthe PlayStation 5 Pro.
He was just like, well, in Canada it's close to $1000 for

(39:28):
the system itself. I'm like, it's a what?
He was just like, yeah, they're the gains in the systems are
more expensive in Canada almost just like there are.
And we up here complaining about$449, Yeah.

(39:49):
It's kind of crazy that Canada is just so exorbitantly high
with their their game systems, but it does feel like we're we
might be not too far from that soon, sooner, later.
Considering how much these developers talk about the cost
of gaming and how much it's costing them to make these
consoles and things and make these games.

(40:10):
It seemed like this something they wanted to do with a pipe
price increase. And now I think this is the
perfect time to do it. Yeah, and I think Nintendo is
like you definitely with the AI chip with NVIDIA and all of this
stuff. I'm like y'all ready man?

(40:32):
We're about to see Nintendo do some crazy, insane stuff with
some really high tech or whetherI want to say it's Xbox One,
PlayStation 4 Pro, whatever. I'm like we're about to see some
crazy stuff because of the next Legend of Zelda got our mouse on
the floor and it's $80.00. That could complain about the

(40:54):
price, but we're going to be like.
Oh. A NUMA and Modern Soft and the
Zelda team was not playing around.
Who's doing this? Yeah, yeah, absolutely correct.
I think our group that is as well, I think, you know, we can
only say so much about the price, but if it's what we want
and you know, the console is giving us the great games, I

(41:15):
think people are going to still gravitate towards that.
Because even if you look at the price of the PS5 Pro, you know,
people are still buying them. I don't think they sound like
gangbusters, but they're still buying them.
I think the better example the PS3 PS 3 came out and the price
is absorbent for PS3. $600. Yeah.

(41:36):
But, you know, and, and to be fair, it was slow out the gate.
But as time went on, more and more people end up buying that
console, you know? Yeah, it became a common thing.
So Xbox. Xbox 364 was 400.
The system was breaking down. What a wild time that was just

(41:59):
just in, in notion that you haveone console that was $600.00 and
the other console it's $400.00, but it's a, it's about a good
30% chance the council is going to break down on you.
And this is like, this is the crazy thing that people don't
remember or don't know. Before the PlayStation 3 Slim

(42:19):
came out, Sony removed the backwards compatibility from
that system with an update. So they stopped.
They stopped backwards compatibility.
Microsoft, you know, with the 360 that system really didn't
get became a system system. So about the Xbox 360 Slim,

(42:40):
where before they dropped the Xbox One.
So it was just like. And yes, Nintendo had the Wii,
but the Wii was selling gangbusters.
Yeah. You know.
An anomaly. Right.
And so it was it like we have paid high price stuff for

(43:00):
consoles and gangs. So nothing is new here.
That's why I say that people who's who like who kind of want
to make an argument and yell andbe like, I'm not getting this,
'cause this, I'm like, you're doing this for attention.
Because if you OK, you letting us know you're not going to get
it, OK, fine. If you're not going to get it,

(43:24):
you don't have to let nobody know that you're not going to
get it. Be excited for the people who
are going to get it, who are going to pay the price.
Because what's going to end up happening is, is that folks are
going to show that they got the switch to in Mario Kart.
You you about to see all the pictures, you about to see
tweets, you about to see blue skies, you about to see social
media go out, that everybody is having fun with the system and

(43:47):
with this game. I agree.
And then you gonna, I, I was selling on a direct recap.
OK, first I complain about the price, but then I'm like, oh,
we're complaining about the price.
But my car world tour is number one with 5 million to some sales
plus on the NPDI know it's a different name in the first
week. Oh, OK, it's the second week.

(44:09):
Oh, it's still there. Third week, it's still there.
4th week is still there. OK.
It's been 2 1/2 months and it's still number one or it's still
in the top 10 and it gave me still that $80.
Yeah, that makes sense. There's no way that Mario Kart 8
Deluxe should have the numbers that they have, but it does

(44:32):
still at $60.00. I agree.
That's a very solid point. All right.
Any final thoughts before we go brother?
I'm super excited for this system and I think other gamers
should definitely be excited forit.

(44:53):
Whether you are APC player, Xboxplayer or Sony player, I think
people should be excited for Nintendo Switch 2.
It looks like once people get the game, the system in the
hands in their hands and be ableto make a opinion.
I know some people have already played it and there's reviews

(45:14):
and not reviews. There's previews out in opinions
and stuff for. I think a lot of people are
super excited. I'm going to be at PAX East this
year and hopefully Nintendo's there with the Switch too.
We're going to try to get some play time with it.
Hopefully we can. If it is I I tell my friends I

(45:34):
was just like, we going to get up early.
We got to get our coffee, we gotto get in line.
We are not playing around by theNintendo booth and let's go.
Love it. That's great.
Now. Well, I guess you'll be back to
talk about backseat soon then, Iguess.
Yes, super excited for PAX east.I'm really excited for the Xbox,

(46:00):
their showcase on June 8th, because I've I mean, even though
it's three days after the switchto release, I feel like Xbox got
something for Nintendo, but whatit is I don't know.
I'm super excited. Definitely would be Minecraft,
but I think they got something in their conference that's going
to also be related to us, which too Halo, which which is, I

(46:24):
don't think it's Halo. I really don't think it's Halo.
Halo. I don't think so.
Master Chief Collection, I think.
People wanted to be, but the Halo series is in need of a
refocus. Oh, that's.
It. And I think, I think the Halo

(46:48):
development team can do that andnot be like not be afraid or
anything. I wish they would, I, I kind of
wish they sold their engine to Nintendo.
Let's see what Nintendo could dowith their engine.
Cause Nintendo would learn theirengine and be like, oh, we
didn't know that we could do this.

(47:09):
But I'm, I'm, I'm excited for what the Halo team has planned.
If Master Chief, if the Master Chief game does come to the
switch, hey cross cross gym play.
You know they offer cross-platform play.
So I'm like hey, this would be cool to have switch to and Xbox

(47:31):
players run through a campaign. You know, be super cool I.
Agree. All right, Eddie, let them know
