more stuff to my certificate Ohy'all be proud of me about this

(03:28):
when I started the homebuyerprocess
open house down the street ifyou want to trash anybody
but that's been interesting. Iwouldn't mind talking about that

the little word.
But you do that? Yeah. Okay.
Because sometimes, yeah, sometimes typing for me, it's
kind of like, okay, but when I'mtalking and I'm seeing what I

(05:57):

it. Yeah, he has a differentgroup of people that he works
with, you know where you workand the people that you work
with definitely make can make orbreak a job for you. So yeah, he

Because I didn't used to thinkthat he home all day. But now
I'd be home all day and it'snot. Yeah, it's really not

we got no callnada. Yeah, in the beginning, he
don't call me much much Iappreciate if you ever hit his
butt. Whenever he does, he doesexpect the phone to be answered.

So learn he learned that shitone time because I didn't even
catch me slipping. It sent meback to the office. Back to

(08:48):

(29:22):
in Nicki Minaj at a little beefbecause Luke kills or nah, I'm
the queen bee and they leave nowlike nah bitch I'm a new queen
bee. I think Megan is havinglike, not making a nick is
having a problem with theseyounger artists or newer artists

I was like, where's this moneycoming from? The road. Okay,
my car he drove? Yeah.

(31:57):
But no, I took my wife to seeBeyonce because I said for for
our generation, at least I thinkso. Beyonce is one of those
artists that when our kids askus, did you ever see Beyonce in
person? I want to be able to sayI did. Because I remember asking
my parents did you ever seeMichael Jackson? They're like
no, he was a Jacksonville onetime but we couldn't get tickets
or we were just a little bit outof the age range. And then he

(32:19):
didn't come back toJacksonville. nowhere close
again. So I want to be able tosay like, Okay, I want to saw
Beyonce. I don'tthink your kid's gonna actually.
I don't think I'll be my kids.
Yes, did you Did you ever askyour parents if they ever saw
Michael Jackson? They don'tknow. We stayed

(32:43):
I like oh, did you say you know, like, like, did
you ever see Richard Pryorbefore? Have you ever saw Eddie
Murphy? Did you ever see MartinLawrence? Like one of the things
that blew my mind my my mom anddad saw the kings of comedy
before they were the kings. Itwas it was a D It was Cedric and
Steve on tour. And they were inOrlando my mom tells the story
all the time. She's like how sadcame out she told me he came out

(33:10):
he was opening for Steve and hedid like a real like Orlando and
crazy. And then Steve came outand Steve will always do these
bits about oh yeah, country Ispoke in Orlando didn't like
that shit. So our mental startedbooing Steve. So sad to come
back out like hey, man, y'allchill, relax. Let's see like
Steve good do and then Stevecame back out and then Steve
Forney he had a good show. Mymom and dad told that story all

(33:32):
the time so I'm like she tellshe ought but he that was his
thing like the keys to comedyyou put he's like because I know
I'm country to watch the keys ofcomedy like don't enter me
aboard me. I'm country as well.
So he used to get booed forgoing to cities and saying that
so I was like, Okay, I'm gonnalike I'm gonna get my football
game to shame Island. Did youever see Michael Jackson

(34:01):
go to the bathroom shut off whenDaddy when Beyonce gets Oh, like
like, you don't rememberwatching the Tina Turner story
then and then at the end of themovie. Angela Bassett turns into
the real Tina Turner and TinaTurner better performing and he
looks like have you ever sawTina Turner? Maybe like Lebron
James. Look. That's a goodfootball name.

(34:23):
And I was laying you said again.
The footballgame person like have you ever
saw Kobe? I didn't know seeCOVID That's so that two keys
match like it's gonna be it'sgonna be great documentaries
about this great player who's nolonger alive. Ever see?
I mean look and see when thenext time
like my boyfriend likes curry.
So I would like to make sure hegets to

(34:46):
Orlando not so hot and I'msure it's you see, basketball is
expensive to go to San Franciscoto watch a game. She did she
don't get our Southwestsouthwest got to it's not the
flight So the tickets are evenif you at the top for Yeah, you
gotta catch them like my barberjust went to Boston to watch

(35:08):
LeBron wasn't LeBron and evenfucking play LeBron or he didn't
play he went to Bostonregularly LeBron, let
him do everything I can to makea warm up regular street
clothes. So I don't know that Idon't know what to do with shame

(35:31):
but that's what happened whenyou have a great time on the
podcast.
I did have a question though.
Real quick. It's, it's notrelated. But you just said the
word daddy. I guess this is aquick woman want to know. So um,
the Mariah the scientist andYoung Thug video. You seen it?
Yeah. Okay. Well, they Lynnhouse. How she talks to him. I
don't like it. You don't likethat's my question. Okay,

(35:52):
because I asked I was like, am Isupposed to be talking to you
like I was. Okay.
But that's why that's why forGriffin. I feel like that's a
girl like you just tricking. Oh,I had a girl talk to you like,
yes, aggravating. She was PuertoRican. That's
different. She said Daddy youBobby she said Daddy

(36:13):
are appropriate here. Yeah, no,no, no, no, no. She'll Puerto
Rican but she wasn't like raid.
I mean, she was okay. So she'slike, Daddy. Stop. And it was
when Zadie was in us that shewas like, Zadie does that I'm
like, Bro. Please. Split it. Istart talking to him.

(36:34):
What do you call your? Becausemy rip my paws? Well, I used to
call him daddy. Like Hey, Daddy.
What do you call your daddy?
Okay, maybe like why would you call
him? I'm like Daddy, they mightyou mean daddy? Daddy. I don't
feel like I gotta say daddy. OrDan or pops are I call them OG
sometimes too. Yeah, but I willdo you

(36:57):
will call your buddy Romaine andlook at you crazy.
Whatever what I call my dadOh, we will do it behind a
better we'll never do it told mein person.
I come on with G baby. I knowgive me like a nine Gracie. So
I'm like gee baby. What aboutDaddy? Daddy? Mama? No,

(37:18):
but I'm gonna read a sciencevideo though. What I don't know
how that got leaked. I know Iknow this is
gonna get off because of itbecause the longer they keep
dragging and shut out he's gonnaget off because a whole bunch of
you know I will say him andLucci by not testifying against
each other each otherthis will get people to get out

(37:39):
because they played they playedthe song lifestyle in court and
the jury was like this did a lotof shit just a little
LeBron James and saying that hewas current lost

(38:10):
the job is like shitI ain't got even swear to God,
I'm gonna be the latest. Thewhite lady in the video. I ain't
got a bus when I got on mybliss.
It was a lawyer. It was a lawyeron the on the prosecutor side

(38:34):
says I rode the bus.
QUESTION So he get out and see.
Does he still go back to makingthat music? Or does he learn
less immediately? Yes. Hedoesn't learn his lesson.
I mean, I don't know if there'sa lesson to learn. Right?
Hopefullyhe's passed that hot phase of
his life. I'm thinking andhoping so there's

(38:56):
not a lesson to learn. But yeah,I mean, yeah, but like, like
Snoop Dogg went through this topower went through this. Daddy
went through this and I'mlearning right as long as you
Snoop Dogg went over when he gotI was next on shenanigan when it
started with no limit. Then itgoes over the Reverend would
mess up and nowI can't even tell you the song
of when he would I couldn't useso that's what I'm saying.

(39:20):
That's what for real? I'mjust saying oh my give me like,
I don't I feel like you almostgot a chance to that. Maybe
I would that you would look atyour life differently. You will
take a step back. You're likeyou know what? I was fucking up.
I fucked up.
But then again, you got like, like Kodak and
perfect Kodak. Kodak, Kodak todo

(39:43):
with recent video we'll get downto NBA Youngboy
would what would appeal iswonderful. Oh, Ilana it was a
picture or something. Yeah, Ididn't see it. But I heard about
it. I read about it. Yeah. Andthat's why I listen to myself.
What rap listen.
You know what? I just read thisis how crazy life The facade is
of everything. So they did thisbig profile on Diddy like I

(40:06):
think it was a New York Times itwas some some big article, but I
don't know did he hit the Cassiething where he he got sued and
settled? And then did he had thething where he settled with the
liquor company fordiscrimination. So they were
doing this big profile of Diddyand they were literally saying
that did he is done they'rebroke now because a lot of his
money like his the bulk of hismoney that made him did he came

(40:30):
from his rock endorsement. So hewas getting paid X amount of
dollars per case, which ismaking him like a millionaire
that's why money came from theguy think like Bad Boy Records
and putting out no music forreal Sean John closing selling
what else he got. So like all ofthis stuff was laid out in the
article and they were basicallysaying because did he sued the
company that owns a rock overthe deli on brand he said that

(40:53):
they were being discriminatorybecause they were promoted
another brand over dilly dallyon and they weren't promoting
him. He sued the labor for racethe company for racism and bias.
And then in return, the companydropped him from being a rock
spokes spokesperson because theyalso rock as well. And now they
like delete did he has no moneyCasio took from everything he

(41:13):
got. And then the settlementthat he got from his company
probably went to go paying herand he's like he's not making
music he's not doing anything Imean working with me
again, um, I don't know how tomoney in the music industry
works but like royalties fromall songs he's produced and
helpedto pay that man at once. For he
did for biggie. Every day hislife gets played he gets paid

(41:42):
for it. Because they didn't givehim every step
was at a Chinese restaurant ofthe day and he was playing our
Kelly and I was like ooh, theymust not know there must not be

(42:05):
the date of coursewhen I was listening to whatever
he was saying, so I would listento it and I went home and I just
said everything that he wassaying in the brief like that
isn't it was making Oh goodbyehe's calling me here you
call me Don't say Hey, I hearyou calling you add a ball with
you got to pay I come baby tosave you some random girl Oh,

(42:31):
she's gonna drink oh nomost all in these have to be
long game that you babynow that you come to him versus

(42:52):
Forget it is believable how yourbody's calling for me. I can
just hear counting comm tellingme long as
you did that anyway by theplayground
tell me what's your thesemake them Oh man.

(43:15):
You just mentioned our Kelly ourkillers performance so this
shows called out you missed thisshow was coming out right before
the Super Bowl Super BowlSunday. This show comes out on
Saturday. I know that you're afan of us I'm
a huge soccer fan if youhad to if you were his musical
director and you had to puttogether his Super Bowl setlist

(43:37):
what what we what could weexpect if messiness is Usher's
Super Bowl setlist producer youcan't ask me right now is he
coming out to this is for youknow he gotta go out? You might
number one you got an old schoolto new but like what is he

(44:00):
coming out?
So it's gotta be a timeline.
Oh no, no, he gonna start withokay, it's dark. Okay. Okay.
After the night don't leave metrue player for red
just gonna say it's seveno'clock. Oh, that's gonna

(44:24):
be around seven eastern standardtime
the only thing I can't stand Ido not like his wardrobe
choices. They're a little toolike Metro for me. Yeah, got it.

(44:45):
I saw the clip of his newbecause he has a new album
coming out. And he put out alittle bit of one of the videos
and not just like, have you saw him in Vegas yet?
But I'm thinkingout Santa Barbara. Oh,
dear Pharaohon tour. Yes, right after this,
so I will be at one of thoseshows. Okay, so that's the first

(45:08):
concert itwas fortunately you kind of
dodged the question for songs.
I'll leave you wait. Youdon't have to call have to call.
Um, yeah. Yeah, that'sthe brand new crews out somebody
I don't think he brings anybodyunder over, under over

(45:34):
under over to I think the lastwere you on a date and last year
I really didn't like ourperformance to be honest. You
didn't. But people were goingcrazy about that shit.
No, I liked it. It like remindedme like okay, I'll do library
I'm like people like, MyFacebook is very mixed. Um, and
people that don't listen to hiphop and stuff like that. We're

(45:57):
not We're not okay, so you gotto brace us your goals. You know
cross carriers. Ed Brian TaylorSwift
Yeah, he has edu he's gonna playthat I hate that song you know
musicI don't know he wanted them pop.
Oh myI did it again. So I will be

(46:22):
dropped dropped.
I feel like you're gonnadisappoint
you remind me he goes to shit hecannot disappoint
for us, it's sort of nofor like the black folk culture.
Overall, like everybody likesit, but I don't think I'm gonna
get I'm gonna leave it there Idon't feel like the day is gonna

(46:47):
be like something likethis book for me if I'm assuring
if I'm not sure what I'm doing.
I'm coming up off the groundlike it's completely dark. And
it's gonna be like, Oh, butI can see that don't do Oh,
boom, boom, boom.
Don't don't do that all the sameYeah, this is the you, you my

(47:15):
neighbor. WhatI will do I wasn't sure if I was
sure, but I probably have like aset of like maybe six to seven
lookalikes? Yeah. And the lightsgo up when everybody like
Michael Jackson. Or you wouldn'tknow which one me

(47:37):
so that's my score Stadium. Thedeveloper was on stage with a
hat like he had differentMichael Jackson
went on which wasfrom the different videos and
stuff I don't know like yeah, look at like, it's all using the
same outfit. I gotta go back andlook so that was Michael
Jackson. So he put them like getlike, in the rafters and he was

(48:00):
down like that doesn't alwaysmatter because I noticed the
level and right now I knowbecause he he finally Michael
Jackson from he came in and itwas a real him. I think he did
like, Hey, baby.
I don't know. I'm hoping hedon't disappoint cuz people are
very, very jealous Judd Mitchellon the Super Bowl. Halftime

(48:22):
Show. Some people just watch theSuperbowl for the halftime show.
Can I say this though? Can I saythis? And I hope I'm not wrong
in saying this. If I can say it,say it. Basically go. I see
here. I think this is gonnaprobably mean but from here on

(48:45):
out. The Superbowl halftime showneeds to be headlined by someone
in the r&b Rap pop genre.
That's what it is already.
Might have a reboot call who wonthe national anthem? I think she
might be she might be doing butReba is a big name and in

(49:06):
country. Yeah. Well, Ithink like Superbowl halftime so
you gotta have somebody in thosethree genres hip hop, r&b, maybe
pop like pop, like because yeah,Bruno. But it was the one guy
like the one group like therewas a group of them. They had to
bring Bruno and Beyonce out tosave the show. Maroon Five. I
know it wasn't profile. MaroonFive.

(49:30):
I'm down for country long thisMorgan Wallen.
He did a song he got a song withbuffalo mortgage. He got a song
called Stand By Me. What is itTravis Scott. He did. Morgan
Wallen called Stand By Me I'lllook it up. They remade like the

(49:53):
when the night has come and theland is a new moon or what be
saying it is the only lightjuicy using
what's he paying say abouttouching music? How's it down so
I wonder what songs he wrote? Ithink he probably wrote like
some Luke Bryan some little bitlike some big names. He said

(50:17):
that he's rolling dirt, dirt or boring walls. Okay
Speaking of music How do youfeel about what's the Universal
Music Group snatching theirsongs off of Tiktok? Because one

(50:38):
of them was twin. Where have youbeen? Nobody know. But you can't
findme everybody video muted and
why would they like what's thebenefit of?
I have no clue what the benefitis six. I

(50:58):
get paid for the video though.
But nobody really knows thewhole song. Right?
I think it's good for theartists because now
Yeah, I don't know why he woulddo that. Well,
maybe maybe that just pays theartists though. You know I'm
saying like they like it nomoney like Hola. Hola. Hola.
This is likethe Super Bowl like they don't
get paid for it but you get paidfor it in other ways. Like
you're on this made this hugenamespace so like tick tock is

(51:21):
the same. This big. Thebiggest stage because
everybody's on TikTok. Everybody's on tick tock.
I can't wait for thesecommercials. But go ahead.
What the Superbowl commercials?
Yes, that's my favorite part.
They may they may slackinglately. They have not been good.
Last couple of years onlycommercial David comes Budweiser

(51:42):
and Janet Jackson. That wasn't acommercial though. But I'll
never forget that moment. Yeah,I was I looked at my mom
and that was a young gentlemanthat he was happy to be

(52:04):
with the gang and come backwhen that was a great bit of
Jasmine I don't know why she Idon't know if it was a stunt
only when did he detachable ahalf naked by the end of this
songthat's it he was out there to
bed till he wasput on a hell of a show

(52:39):
this is 30 realizing how goodyour next topic is. A lot of
songsshe does she a lot of them next
up against school thenext day as a boy we asked
everybodyfor the younger cousins that's
born in the 2000s This is likeoh three. This is before Viva
pizza like you had to have hadseen it.

(53:01):
You can't go back and mine isdue to the news the next day oh
yeahwe apologize to the proper now.
I'll remember that I know whereI was when Michael Jackson

(53:21):
passed away. Not living mybest way of living. Michael
Jackson, I know summertime I wasjust at home like my house was
busy people were staying with meand stuff I remember being in
the kitchen and they would juststop and we everybody's talked
about hey,we passed away I don't remember
but I will not forget him thatlet me know like everybody is

(53:45):
yeah, like we people out here ohmy
brother's a Kobe data right nowbut when we played with and when
I playedNo bro Kobe. I say bro twofold.
He said yeah. What am I gonnasay?
Forgot to hear? What?
What can I forgot?

(54:06):
I remember I woke up to thatnews. I had slept on the sofa
that night. I was a late nightand I just fell asleep. I woke
up at 10 o'clock that morning.
And I put my phone I saw onFacebook TMZ reports Kobe Bryant
dies and helicopter crash. Itwas it was like maybe it was one
o'clock our time. 10 o'clockbedtime. And I was like this
bush. I just somebody gothacked. They Oh, like as time

(54:27):
kept going. That she came out. Iwas like, oh, oh, Michael
Jackson. I was um, it wassummertime. And I was getting
ready to go to my footballworkout school. It was somewhat
summertime workout. And I wasgetting rid of the golden number
TV. You sit in the gurney withhim rolling Michael Jackson's
body. Like this is reports thatmo does Michael Jackson's body

(54:49):
to pop singer is dead andhowever 50 Whatever. I said Oh,
not 11 I was in second grade.
And and I was just in school Ijust remember The whole school
is kind of like shut down. Andthen people started leaving the
school. Like Oh, so you're goinghome like, okay, but

(55:09):
it was a holiday like a specialholiday.
My good fancy to turn the TV on.
We paintedon our TV. Oh, miss Walters
class. Nah. Well, you are a little older than I
was. Fifth grade. I was in thirdgrade. I was in second. So you
probably like fifth. Yeah. Andthat was

(55:33):
your birthday? My birthday. Mybrother to me? Because he will
fucking freaking out. No. Well, your brother won't come that's
why brung him to me because hethought it was like, dope. He
thought we were doing and then,um, for Michael, outside, it was

(55:54):
summer I was outside. And thensomebody went in the house to do
some came back. I like broke.
It's when Michael Jacksonwhen he was when he used to pass
away. I don't know me and ArethaFranklin's funeral and TV. It
wasn't that long ago. All thepink
Cadillacs. Catalytics I was in.
I was in bed when Tupac died andher mom was at my mom's house we

(56:16):
would have like my cousin's wedefinitely stayed in Atlanta we
came to Texas believe it I'mokay I was and it was time for
us to go to bed so we embednobody sleep we all went to plan
her what I know.
Nowkilled Tupac and I knew Tupac
but I know like yeah no no butnow like man I was I remember

(56:37):
when he wasjust got the person who who did
it allegedly that'scrazy. I remember I was with
Vandross, some some guy somebodyconnected to the
get away with a murder this longand they can't get evidence show
past the night. You know, I feellike at that point like you

(56:59):
I've been watching hella coldcases lately and they don't get
everybody here clearly inJacksonville to fucking get
nobody but not me. People. WhatI learned is a lot of people
move to like Alaska, or weirdstates like that whenever they
don't want to take pictures.
I used to want to go to Alaska, but now I'm like, oh shit, maybe

(57:20):
not. That's whereI'm the last guy. They term all
fucking Bayesrule. Although I did apply to
work in Alaska one time as ateacher, would
you have what are you doing? Whyare you today? You? Yeah, you
know, one of the benefits if you can
help me I can take up to acouple of teachers. If we can
come up with a plan to gosomewhere and learn about

(57:40):
another country.
Let's do it. JP Yeah,I just got an email they
extended the whatever they do.
So I'm thinking about like, because in China is it China
Japan is one of the two but theydo like exercises mid May they
the kids take care of the schooland they got to take their shoes

(58:03):
off when they come inside was agentleman I'm like damn. Over in
Europe, they like take a breakhalfway through the school day
and go home and eat youfor like, whatever they pay for.
They know days they say this isspeaking about traveling. I want
to go to China and shit. Theyput a travel ban in Jamaica and
like, I don'tknow where I'm taking my wife

(58:23):
for a birthday. You know, I'malways a planner. So I was
planning.
I will just say that bullshit.
I wanted to go I wanted to gosomewhere, though. This is
bullshit. And I might just Imight just take you live in
Jacksonville. It's a travel banthat comes I might just go to
the airport, and we just pick aflight and go I don't
necessarily want to do that.

(58:44):
I did it yet, butI got enough money to just go
and fly so she might well begoing I don't know
you pick up on a first classflight to Haiti.
I don't know. Like all the shitin the world. I'm scared. matter
of time before something havethey come over here and they
hate it and I don't think not 11was dumb coming over here for

(59:06):
real, but eventually somethinggoes wrong.
Do you think that we are to freeas a country? Yes.
Yes. And I hate to say that, butsome shit should not be allowed
in America to do what the fuckyou want to do? And then people
will fucking justify it.

(59:26):
Kinda you gotta like blatantlysay or do something but if you
don't you just like skirt aroundit. Yeah, you can kind of get
away with it.
And then if you if you saysomething by a certain group of
people or people that dosomething and all of a sudden
you're the bad guy. No, therewas a days

(59:48):
Oh, good. I say that man. Thedemo day. What is what it was?
Oh, you talking about the yesthe fact that he's talking about
the Mickey Mouse house.
That's insulting that the ABCand then is the same thing

(01:00:08):
becauseone time I was holding somebody
and I said I'd say it, but Iforgot something. And oh, God.
Yes. And I didn't want him totry.
LG, but I was just like, the first wave. Yeah.
And this girl chill. She's like, whoa, whoa, I'm trying to be
respectful and I'm like, Ah,it's a

(01:00:29):
month ago and tick tock and I'vebeen that he, she whatever the
fuck he is. He they areclueless, like a mean breeze but
a white, but didn't go likemight be it might be Tiktok
Lafayette restaurants and didn'tget mad when they get they get
misgendered and then go really?
You call me get your manager?
You called me to happen to me. Ihappen to be broke. Somebody

(01:00:51):
called the manager onYes. No, I was telling him that
I will tell him somebody. And Iwas like, ma'am, and said sir,
like, ma'am. So I'm confused.
Because like,Neil, especially like in drive
throughs I don't even I just saythank you.
Right? You can just say yes, like Thank you. Oh, yes, sir.

(01:01:13):
Yes, ma'am. So I will always sayit was like ma'am, sure. Like
what they will like cert whatis that in a lot of other states
and places? They don't use ma'amand sir like we do here in the
south but it so Ijust that's just aggravating.
Yeah. So not to the point. I'mlike, yeah, not Yes. Yeah. You
all say Yes, ma'am. Yes. Yougot it.

(01:01:34):
You got it. You got it? BecauseI don't know anymore. And I'm
not trying to be disrespectful.
But it's like, anything you door say is like bro like, I can't
win. Yeah. And and when you saywell, we to free? Yeah, we do a
lot of strange shit over herethat other countries 90 plan.
Yeah.
I got a question for you. Assoon as we come back, I'm gonna
take a quick pause with thecalls. You're gonna come back. I
got a question for you hold itright there. This is to take the

(01:01:56):
baton Lincoln's. And we backjust like that, hey, we have to
be quick pause with the calls, get some things situated behind
the scenes. But listen, I toldyou I was gonna have a question
when we came back and I got aquestion for you. Now, nessa
since you are here, and I'veseen your growth. I've seen your
elevation. And it's good to seethis is this has been fun so

(01:02:17):
far. I I missed this. Can I askyou a question? Because I don't
know if you recall. But yearsago, when you first did the
show, you went viral on Tiktoktalking about what a man should
do and Oh, me not doingwhatever, whatever. I
remember that. You rememberthat? I don't remember
everything I say. But I doremember the viral and I

(01:02:39):
remember lots of comments. Yes.
And you were you weren't sure ifI'm not that nice song. Yeah,
yeah. No, no, no, I don't know.
But I have thought about a lotof things that you said on this
show. Yeah. That I'm like, Oh,I said that. Yeah, look at that
maturity. So it's two questionsthat I want to ask you this. At
30 years old. Do you stillconsider yourself to be a

(01:03:00):
dignified delinquent? And thesecond question that's a
different piece. Has theindependent woman killed
shivery?
First question, definitely. Ithink being a dignified
delinquent is just kind of youeither have that quality or you

(01:03:21):
don't kind of and I definitelythink like I want to stay you
know, a dignified delinquent. Ifthat makes sense. Like I want to
continue to grow but still becool on Earth and relatable and
things like that. So yeah, Idon't want to not be identified
a link because if I ever startedgetting like that, like, Ooh,
she thinks she did it. Let meknow tapped me on the shoulder

(01:03:42):
is a you gain a little bit.
By sue you get for yourbritches. But
yeah, I like being identifieddelinquent and classify myself
as that.
As brief Do you think at 30?
What you thought before? Like wejust celebrated your birthday?
Oh, buddy, foe. Do you think asShaq in LA Are you too old to be

(01:04:05):
the bane of our league? What areyou like, lifetime maybe this
shit forever?
I think it's forever. Likealways, like, I will move with
the Lincoln my whole life. Wentto college and college help
bring a dignified in me. Um,bring it out. Bring it out of
me.

(01:04:26):
And I just think once you becomea dignified, delinquent, I don't
think that's just something youcan get rid of. Like, it's which
you? Yeah, like necessary. Youeither gotta let us know. It's
some people that's gonna be moredignified. And it's gonna be
pumping people that'sdelinquent. Yeah, for sure. But
when you get the best of bothworlds, you you, you know, like,
it's a fine line. Like it'salmost like you adapt. Like a

(01:04:50):
dignified Linkwood. I compare itto a chameleon. You adapt. So
you got down my chameleon thenyou get lucky Almost adapt to
your surroundings. Yeah, but youcould put me you could put me in
a hoodie club elbow and I'mgonna be good and the gang will

(01:05:10):
come up and do none yeah whatyou also you know I'm saying but
you also can put me in the placeas awards full of teachers yeah
Jesus out of yours teach me butand I'm gonna fit right in they
will come up we're going nervousI started thinking I saw you
when you came up to bat in thebackground that Avery's like a
breeze a little nervous. Yeah, you had a little ball like this
because that bruises boffinreasons why oh no contrary to

(01:05:32):
belief at all I'mreally shot for real light when
the light when the lights is onme and full. I'm really not that
guy. You know, obviously Ireally don't want all that
attention. It might seem likethat but I really don't. But you
could put me into when I'm gonnafit in and I think that's the
part of me that dignify the linkwith for
me and when so know that forsure. Because when we did that
show in Jacksonville, US was atthe show earliest fuck in the

(01:05:54):
greenroom. Nervous. I mean, ifit doesn't show that was like, I
want you been here. Two hours.
I've been here for two hours.
I'd be like, I don't, I don'tlike the attention. But if it's
something he's gonna stay on me.
Yeah, obviously getting here.
But I think being datafile isforever, and it's gonna be

(01:06:16):
something that that's passed on.
Like when I talk to people allthe time like, bro, it's cool. I
told my students I said all thetime, bro. It's cool to be
smart. Yeah, and it's cool to bea badass, you know, I'm saying
but be a smart badass. Yeah, don't be I hate doing stupid
stuff.
Yeah, definitely be cool to besmart. anywhere because
you'll be you'll be you'll besurprised by how many young

(01:06:38):
dignified like dignifiedLincoln's like, bro, like you,
you got it. If you use thisstreet smarts that you got right
here with your books macho bookswas well, you you is a new
isn't. It is you is you.
I will say I mean I, I love so Ihave friends who watch the show

(01:06:59):
all the time. And they be like, yeah, Jerry, you gotta keep
breeze around because breezesmore delinquent than dignified,
but he has both of them. Itfeels like you're more dignified
than you are delinquent. But youhave both of them. And I think
that that I'm 30 I just turned30. And life has taught me in in

(01:07:19):
these 30 years, which I'm happyand blessed to see. Because I
remember being the same age andmaybe a couple of years older
than Trayvon Martin, and seeinghow that went. And then Jordan
Davis, in your judgment, seeinghow that went. I think that life
has taught me that you have tohave a balance. Like you can't
let go of that you even thoughI'm I'm more older soul. Like,

(01:07:40):
like, like, I have more funoutside of Jacksonville than I
do in the city. When I'm home.
I'm fucking home. But if I go toDC, I want to go to the
speakeasy I want to go to thisinternet. And it's like, those
are my moments of clarity. It'slike, hey, other people around
you are doing the same shit thatyou're doing. And then they're
going to work on Monday, gettingup at five o'clock and being

(01:08:01):
going to have their fun. Andsomeone asked came on the show,
they were a guest. And thatperson said that they were more
of a delinquent. They mean youbecause they were younger than
us. They were a lot younger. Andthey were speaking off of off of
age. And I was like, Yeah, bydefinition true. But by the
definition of a dignifieddelinquent. No, because you

(01:08:23):
don't have no dignified you dobut you don't have to show
dignified side. And as you bothjust say like a balance between
the both of those is fuckingamazing. Because I love talking
to high school students. I wasjust talking to someone the
other day who were best friendsand I was like, they'll go to
the same college. I'll beroommates. Freshman year don't
try to be roommates. Y'all getdifferent roommates so that way

(01:08:45):
you can learn and think and growdifferently. But I love talking
to them because I'm 30 yearsold. I've seen some of these old
Facebook fucking statuses that Isaw because I Oh, that wasn't
me. I didn't say that. I look Ilook at my niece who's who's 19
And I remember me and 90 I'mlike oh everything that you're

(01:09:05):
going through and you sayingyou're gonna look back at 30 and
be like what the fuck was I eventhinking about to talk that
nigga I am Ben and as one of thereasons why because it's like
you just put so much so muchoutput whenever you're you know
young 20s in you know in theteens and now it's like I need

(01:09:27):
to put all that out yeah likesit also still fucking think
about it for a second and thenif you still feel that a day
later it's not on put it out butyes, I I'm kind of thankful I
don't know what happened toGod and I'm not in jail or I'm
like bro like what are thewinners? Like I'd be I'd be
looking at every day I go get ahug and bring her like Damn,

(01:09:48):
look at my life. This she couldnot have been if I would have
got you know call or would havewon any given moment. Any
any given fuckup But you don'tsay, like, and I work with kids,
like now I'm like, I'm reallyout here what other people kids
and I see myself in a lot ofthese kids. And that's what
keeps me doing what I'm doing.
You know, I'm saying cuz I'mlike, Bro I was you. And

(01:10:10):
sometimes I gotta get hood some,like, I know I know they don't
like that you know school theydon't like when cheated or
something like that you have tounderstand I gotta take this
teacher to health unbuckled isme I will beat you. You gotta
understand. I've been where hewas at, you know, I'm saying and
I don't want you to go where yougoing right now? And you'd be
surprised how the kids look atyou like yeah, one kid told me

(01:10:33):
like missing but I can tell youis from the trenches. In fifth
grade, I can tell you this. Iyour demeanor is you don't let
nobody disrespect to you likeyou don't get crazy. You're just
a fifth grade and I'm like, butyou let them know like, I'm a
man. Yeah. And he will like andhis dad dad passed last he said
that my dad was he said that'swhy I look up to you know, I'm

(01:10:53):
saying he gets in trouble a lot.
But when he when he saw me I'mlike, Okay, I understand that.
So now I know how I gottaapproach him. Because now he
looked for that father figurebecause right now you know, I'm
saying he don't got that. Yeah,so if I could tell you from
John, I brought like throughlike Mr. Smith was really
that nigga like for real? Andthen I'm gonna just say to all

(01:11:18):
of these young folks out herewho was in these relationships.
I think missing I can relate tothis too. We were young and
religious. God it was this isthe one go listen. Please go
listen to pretty Wings byMaxwell Volk standard that is a
fucking love song and it is notit's not it is a brace pretty

(01:11:39):
song it's a very gorgeousbeautiful go listen to pretty
Wings by Maxwell listen to thefirst time we're bringing the
real into I try and listen tolearn there will be no remnants
no traces, no resemblance, things love within you one day,
you won't remember me. Listen tothat song. I gotta go. I'm

(01:12:04):
preaching to somebody.
Listen to you, people, youngpeople in relationships cat if
you like 25 and under, andyou're going through something
with somebody and you've talkedto somebody that's older that
you you know, confide in and youthink gosh, are you gonna
listen, but that's what I'mtelling these young folks
fucking listen. Because if Iwould have let go, I could have
been married right now tosomebody that I should have been

(01:12:26):
married to. And I'm thankfulanimals every day like, like no
shade to that person. But thatwould have not been for me so
but if I would just fuckinglisten to somebody. But you
always want to prove peoplewrong right or
whatever. Whatever whatever youtry to tell somebody don't do
they gonna do they're gonna doit anyway. And I learned that so
don't tell my daughter. It'sthis girl I did not want to do I

(01:12:47):
do not want to be friends withthis girl is mean it's fun. Like
she mean like, Alright, sweetlike I told her you can beat her
ass if you want to. Oh, like areyou doing you too much with me
in the black bill. But our isnot like there are like no
sheets. So whatever, whatever.
But the girl is like an asshole.

(01:13:09):
Like I was telling everybodyabout her birthday party. You're
like, well, I don't want tocome. So are like, Okay, well,
you gotta come.
Girl, she came home and she waslike, the girl says, girl says
you don't want to come to myapartment. Don't worry about it.
She's like, Yeah, but I want herto come. So I like don't worry
about it. So I went the next dayI told her not to talk to girl

(01:13:31):
again. So girl want to come now.
So I don't want to if I don'twant to put the girl to come.
Yeah, you'll want to read my triple
make sure your homeownersinsurance is an Airbnb. But, of
course my shipper but for sakeof time I want to skip to skip
past that question. And go towhat Vanessa wanted to talk

(01:13:52):
about. You want to talk abouthomeownership and Oh. So what's
your what's your thought? Whatdo you got? Um,
so I'll be transparent. Mycredit was really bad when
younger 20s I got a whole bunchof credit cards. Not listening
to those smart people in mycorner and listening to my
friends and stuff like that. Sofucked up my credit, but I was

(01:14:15):
like, You know what theyeverybody says after seven
years, you don't have to worryabout it. No way. So some of the
stuff I just stopped paying off.
And then I went on Experian onthe app and disputed it. So now
I have disputes on accounts thatI don't know are mine. I don't
know why it's been. So wheneverI started the homeowner process,
I met with a realtor. And Iwould encourage everybody
because a lot of people arelike, I don't want to I don't

(01:14:36):
know if I'm ready and I don'twant to waste somebody's time
and then schedule an appointmentwith that person and go talk to
them and get the informationbecause that's all it is, is a
conversation. You're not tiedinto them or, you know, go get
the information from somebodywho really has it and stop
watching tiktoks and YouTube andstuff like that. But anyway, so
I went there and then she put mein with a loan officer Sir, and

(01:14:57):
I did the application and thelady came back and was like,
Okay, I'm gonna tell you all thestuff that you need to fix for
your credit. So, all the whileI'm saving money, and I've maybe
had like, $5,000 for thispurpose saved up, and I'm
thinking I'm gonna use that fromlike, the closing costs and
stuff. So I'm getting excited.

(01:15:17):
And then the latest like, yeah, you know, all this stuff,
basically, that I just stoppedpaying on. And I said, Fuck it,
yeah, I needed to go pay those.
And I was like, okay, and shewas like, you know, those
disputes that you said, you, yeah, go remove those disputes.
So all that $5,000, I had totake that. And when people when
I say fix your credit, I do notmean go pay a guru or credit
person to fix your credit, again, for the people that go

(01:15:42):
pay one of these people onlineto fix your credit. Just go
through this process, it'sfreakin free, let one of the
lenders go, they'll do itprobably for you. Because they
at the end of the day, they wantyour business because you're
gonna end up paying them back.
So have them people go throughit there, I'll give you an I

(01:16:03):
appreciate the lady who did itfor me because she's like, okay,
for your overall credit, health, and then for your mortgage
application. So she's going totell you, you should do this for
your credit, or you should dothis for your mortgage, or, you
know, I'm saying it might applyto both. So basically, I had to
drop all that money on all thosethings that I was like, Oh,
they're not gonna matteranymore. Because another thing

(01:16:24):
is that debt to income ratio, soI was like, I don't really have
much debt, because I'm notpaying it. And I live with my
boyfriend. And I can say that hepays for everything or cars paid
off. So I'm thinking my debt toincome is outstanding. But all
of those things. So say I had a$4,000 Navy Federal or $3,000
Navy Federal Credit Card, eventhough I haven't paid on it or

(01:16:45):
seen it in eight years, theystill have to factor that into
that debt to income and pretendit is the bill you're paying. So
in order to get around that, youjust have to pay it off and then
wait for that to fall off yourcredit. And I will say I did all
that stuff. My meeting with thelady was on like the ninth of
January, by the 20th of January,my credit score jumped 16
points. So I just needed to doanother jump like that, and then

(01:17:08):
I'll be qualified. And thenanother thing that 640 credit
score, like it can be lower thanthat, I guess, and you can get
approved. But there's a lot ofthings that you the benefits of
like assistance and things likethat you can't get because your
credit score is not high enough.
So first, raise your income ifpossible. And then second, pay
off their credit stuff, stopbuying getting them credit

(01:17:31):
cards, you need to have some youneed to have some stuff open,
but pay them down to that 30%And get a professional I pay to
help you pay somebody you paysomebody did it get the job
done? No. Did they do okay? Whenyou paid somebody did they did
you pay for advice and then youwent and did the stuff or you
said here's all my information,go do it for me. Okay, see that

(01:17:51):
if you're going to do that, maybe
I paid them everything and theydid it if you trust the person
like that didn't do breezeway.
But I'm saying no to I won'tI'll do it again. Oh, yeah. Do
it again. Like the wave my focusis almost free. Yeah. But I did
pay him because I wanted Iwanted this house it breed
credit was good. And my creditwas not as good because I was

(01:18:14):
like, you know, my parentsshould give him blood
student loans that matters.
What is it 1% of your studentloan lady was like
basically so my student loans Ihadn't been paying them you
know, they just unfrozen orwhatever I ain't paying them she
still not gonna fuck you Oh, butshe was saying that so I had

(01:18:41):
apply for forbearance back inlike December forbearance is
whenever you don't have to payyour loans for a while yeah, and
it'll ask you When do you thinkyou'll be ready to repay again?
I say thisthey approved it so now I've my
loans are in good standing eventhough I haven't paid it in four
years between now and Septemberso I need to close on the house

(01:19:03):
before September Yeah, good luckbut let's say let's say it is a
buyer's market all right now,but it seems like only for a
little bit longer like we got asmall window
on my credit, because this timeyeah, not not that I'm trying to
immediately sell right now butnow for three weeks

(01:19:30):
so we came up we came up prettynice. We want a
house with three stories now.
Noit is certain that I wanted my
next house though. Like I wantmy my wife wants a shower and
tub. I want a his and hercloset. I can share a closet
with his mother. I will my ownfucking closet. And I won't I

(01:19:52):
don't want to Jack and Jillsayings. I want her saying on
that side my singleness becauseI'm tired of her. You My shit
and hurt like this is so youwant to move upon a visa Yulia
you get his and hersI'm planning out my that's one

(01:20:15):
thing, I would encourage otherpeople to do this. Like, if you
have that goal in my life startmaking a wish list on Amazon and
like decorating your shit. Solike it's constantly in your
mind.
But are you? Are you stillinterested in doing the use or
do in ourhouse? Yeah, but at and now I'm
learning because at first I wasthinking like okay, let's get
some land and I'll just throwsomething on there you know you

(01:20:36):
offer it you know I count. Sothat is
why you looked at me when thewhite lady

(01:20:56):
immediately blame all I gottapay for the land. But then if
you get the land, you don't getthe first time homebuyer
benefit, because there has to bea structure on it. I didn't know
that. See, that's why I needed arealtor. So just go talk to
professionals.
And I will say I'm also you getthose benefits those F F H A

(01:21:17):
benefits. But also one of thethings that I learned we bought
our first house off of RogersAvenue was You see, I'm lost?
Oh, no, no. Okay. All right. Oneof the things I learned was that
income matters. Because when Iwill say the number, when we
were trying to buy our first ourfirst first house, we had a

(01:21:39):
realtor that you may know, hekind of he kind of didn't help
us like he wasn't good in theprocess. Yep. And then we lost
that house because we didn'thave enough the our debt to
income ratio was and he didn'tcatch it. And it was like God
damn,we wanted to help him. We went
through the whole process andput money down.
And we lost that house like thatwas house that was built from

(01:22:01):
the ground up. So we designedthat house. And somebody else is
in that bid right now and happyand thriving. And then we found
another house with a differentrealtor. And then they call me
and they're like, Oh, well, wesee this little thing and
another thing. And when we gotthe first house, my wife and I
were were the same salary levelwho was at 36, five. And we went
to go the second time saying wewant to get the second house. I

(01:22:26):
was at 36 Five, my wife has thatfifth house. She had jumped and
I was like I gotta catch up. Butbut but when the when the guy
called me he was like, yeah, there's no income as well. Can
you just do it under her nameand not my name? Because she got
the income? I got the debt. Buthe's not okay. No, he figured
out that got us into our secondhouse. Right. And then moving

(01:22:48):
into the house that we'recurrently in. My income had went
up hers and went up. And it waslike, okay, like, yeah, got some
debt, but your income kind ofoutset offsets that, so that
debt to income ratio kind ofoffsets that so I say all that
to say, if you if this is anexample, if you work at
McDonald's, or you make aminimum wage at McDonald's,

(01:23:08):
you're gonna have to haveminimum debt, to get what you
want to get. If you have asalary, you ain't gonna get that
much. If you have a salary andsay your salary is entry level
salary, yeah, not entry level, you're gonna still have to have
minimum debt. You're gonna haveto have minimum minimum income.

(01:23:29):
But sometimes if you're if yourincome can offset your debt,
it'll help you out now that'sthe thing that I learned is just
because you make more doesn'tmean that you should go to spend
more because they will approveyou for a number that will put
you at the max of your incomeand you will be spending more
towards your mortgage thenyou'll be living paycheck to

(01:23:49):
paycheck still, so just becareful about this
a lot of stuff I wish I knewbefore I got married because if
I knew what I knew now Breewould have got her house got me
the house separately separatelythen wouldn't wanted to do we
would have written one of themoff because that yeah you know
I'm saying instead of going inthat bitch all like okay boom
This is Hill this hill but sheknows this people need places to

(01:24:11):
study the onething I would have been
differently the only thing Iwould have done differently I
would have bought a duplex fax Iwould have bought a duplex and
then moved out but cap it andwritten both of them off because
out and when I bought a houseand paid for my house with the
income mobile for those devicesthat you know I'm saying What
time would you do but you knowit's a mismatch and experience
comes down know, a marineequipment and I know
