Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to the Best of the Fan Morning show
on ninety three five and one oh seven five the
Fan Happy thirtieth to my man James point over. People
are already offering, Hey, what's your venmo, Let's send him
some happy birthday stuff, and you are very politely like,
hey man, I just want some good wishes.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yeah, no, I never do that. No disrepect anybody who
does it. That's their thing. But yeah, I can't be
asking for money out hear I get paid.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Wait, people do that fine class.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
Yeah, they throw their uh.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
I think that's honestly a younger generation thing where they
turn a certain age and they say, you know, wish
me have birthday and they drop the vemo and you'd
be expected to give you cash for your birthday, which
I mean, I guess it makes sense if it's family
who might do that for you. But no, for those listening,
I will not ask you for money. I'm very glad
that you're listening, though I would ask you to keep listening.

(00:48):
That's about it.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Yeah, I think I could speak for all the handle here.
None of us, in terms of social media scams and everything.
Nobody here is going to ever ask you for money.
Unless it's to go to like an official fundraising thing
for the Salvation Army that we're doing later on this
month with WIBC, where you can actually go officially to
a site and see what's going on there. Kevin's like,

(01:10):
I don't know. I'm starting to think about this now
all of a sudden.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
No, I don't back for a couple you know, I'm
still stunned by what James just told me.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
No, a lot of content creators will have like a
link there in their profile, like by that's.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
What I am now, okay, on the radio grind and
and writing and all the platform content creator.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
We're the original content creator. You create a massive amount
of content every week.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yes, so drop the vemo, Kevin Bowen, I got to
create that tip jar let's go.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
James, you're going. No umbrella, you said, And Jackson.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
No umbrella. I don't bring umbrellas anywhere. Okay. Two things
that I just don't have or probably will never buy less.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
I'm forced. Maybe the significant other in years to come
will force me. But snow boots, I will never wear
those again in my life. I hated him when I
was growing up. I feel like I was a lamest kid.
Ever when I ever had to wear them the school
and we're not in Siberia. You got a couple a
little bit of snow, get to the school, You're fine,
and umbrellas. I feel like I'm never walking outside long
enough for me to have an umbrella.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Sunday's forecast in Jacksonville showers early, becoming a steady rain
later in the day. Potential for heavy rainfall. Rainfall possibly
over one inch. I'll bring the like the rain parka Colt.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
I got a couple of Nike hoodies that are like that,
So I'll bring that and I'll be fine.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Rain better for the Colts with the Jags.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
Oh, good question. I'll probably go Colts. They can run it.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
JT still an MVP caliber player, just needs to get
unlocked a little bit with this offensive line.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
Old line's gotta give him some help here. Let me
ask you guys this.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
I was thinking about this on the on the way
in this morning, in the non Jonathan Taylor, non star
realm for the Colts. Who really needs to have a
good football game on Sunday?

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Off the line? Yeah, I said it earlier. Again, I
think the whipped the Colts up front in this whatever
decade long streak down there, And yeah, I think that
is the number one key for me. And you know,
Jacksonville a little banged up on their offensive line. They'll
be likely without their left tackle. They're also gonna be
without their leading snap guy on defense, one of their

(03:19):
starting safeties. So basically, if you put that into Colts terms,
you're looking at like a Bernard Ryman Zire Franklin loss
in a game. I would say that's rather notable. I obviously,
I know the Colts are dealing with their own injuries
with Buckner and him Sauce Gardner, but still Jacksonville gonna
be a little banged up. But yeah, I just boiled
down to the trenches.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Speaking of the trenches, I keep waiting and waiting and waiting.
Is there a breakout game in sight and a consistent
breakout game in sight? Consistent consistency being the key for
a lot too.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
I'm not sure.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Honestly, I know he has what the three interceptions and
the most in a single season for a coach defensive lineman.
That to me is like an anomaly. He made a
great play, don't get me wrong, against Patrick Mahomes a
few weeks ago. But when I look at his career.
We might look up at the end of it and
say he never got another interception again, cause it's just

(04:15):
kind of weird, like that you paid him and you
drafted him that high because you want him to get
after the quarterback and he doesn't do that on a
consistent basis. And what's weird about it is Kevin We
were talking about this actually with Mike Chapel shout out
to the Dean Fox fifty nine in the media room yesterday,
and he's on the list of all of the pressures

(04:37):
and you know, time to get after the quarterback and
QB hits, but it's not sacks. It's so weird that
he can't finish plays. And to a degree, I'm not
saying he's like a complete bus or anything. I think
Abdul Carter in New York for the Giants is what
you would call a bus. So far, I think he
has one and a half sacks through thirteen fourteen games.

(04:58):
Latchwo's been fine, but that's not good enough for a
first round picking. Hi would be a disruptor and a
game changer, and really that's the next step I think
for this defense to take a leap, especially in the
absence of DeForest Buckner.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Well, one thing too about Lat two is when you
drafted him, you know he was pretty ready made in
the sense of he produced at a high level in college.
A little bit of an older player as well. You know,
sometimes you see pass rushers drafted in round one and
you're drafting a little bit more on potential, a little
bit more on Hey, they maybe didn't have the crazy
eye poppy numbers, but we think we can kind of

(05:31):
mold that clay. That was not really the thought with
Lot two. I mean, the thought was he would walk
into the NFL and, compared to most young pass rushers,
would be able to give you pretty instant impact. And yeah,
I think you're just left wanting a little bit more
in the finishing of plays department.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Well, they're going to have to get some kind of
pressure on Trevor Lawrence, I think, to to make this
run down the stretch, and it starts on Sunday against
Trevor Lawrence, and you'd like, I keep I don't know,
I keep waiting for him to have like that two
sack day where he starts to maybe build on that
and get some confidence and show himself that hey, I

(06:08):
could be a game disruptor beyond just use great play
against Kansas City. But that's why he was brought here
to be that guy, right, I mean, I don't think
you expect him to necessarily be like Miles Garrett, but
you'd like to see him be a guy that puts
consistent pressure on the defense or the offense.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Who's the better player at their position? Miles Garrett or
the Dallas Cowboys kicker. Is the Dallas Cowboys kicker the
greatest player in the NFL?

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Right? Now? Are you allowed to ever choose a kicker
over any defensive player? Like that thing?

Speaker 3 (06:38):
You just compare that player to the rest of position.
You compare that player to the rest of his position.
Is Brandon Aubrey that much better than everybody else at
his position? I think Miles Garrett would be the only
other player.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
I'm still taking Miles, but yeah, yeah, but like it's
a good question in my opinion.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
And I say that in all seriousness.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
So you're saying, like him and the gap between the
next person, So you're compared to his quarterbacks, comparing Jonathan
Taylor to all the running back You might be right,
because I was looking at him and I was like, boy,
did you see that how many sixty sixty two?

Speaker 3 (07:12):
Last night?

Speaker 6 (07:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:13):
I was thinking like, how many teams would you know
trade a pick for him? I'm dead serious, Like, if
you're a playoff team and you know you're gonna get
into the get into the dance, if you could give
up a Day two pick, would you do it to
ensure that you have the best.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
Kicking round pick to trade for a kick second or
third round pick? The dude, zacht go.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
I'm serious.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
If you're the New England Patriots, if you're the Denver Broncos,
you're like, you know what we might act? I just
got that going to run here? We needed we didn't
make sure we, you know, top some loose ends.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
I want a soccer player, another Dame Brandon Aubrey. By
the way, we have the FIFA World Cup drawl. Are
you guys into the World Cup at all?

Speaker 1 (07:51):
That's coming up later on today?

Speaker 6 (07:52):
Man?

Speaker 1 (07:53):
They making this star studded today, aren't they?

Speaker 3 (07:55):
At noon today? So the United States will find out
who was in their group we've already called flied. Why
because we're hosting? That sounds a little Is.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
That the only reason? Seriously?

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Yeah, that's hilarious, But yeah, I'm looking forward to it.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
I think.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
I enjoy watching what everyone else is kind of locked into,
which is why I watched the World Series and stayed
up that one night super late to see how it
ended or was it eighteen innings or whatever it is.
So I think seeing the excitement from the different fan base,
especially the countries, is always something that I don't want to.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
Miss out on. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
So, and then just the moment. I mean, it's what's
once every four years, man, So if you miss it
or if you make the moment, it's always pretty exciting.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
I was doing some research over the weekend. Lou Annaarumo's
defenses have beaten the Jacksonville Jaguars four consecutive games, dating
back to twenty twenty. Does that matter? Does that mean anything?

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Trevor Lawrence struggling against lou I'll.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
Have to go back and look at what his numbers
actually are.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
They've scored some points, but they've come up short.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
They've scored Yeah, I thought I looked up in earlier
in the week twenty one and thirty one. I think
the totals with Lawrence as quarterback. I guess some of
those games maybe includes not Trevor Lawrence a quarterback.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
Yeah last year though, think so Yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
Mean twenty one and thirty one those striking me as
decent point totals of you average that out?

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Well, I guess it's only three games because the list
I was included the matchup between the Bengals and Jacksonville
this year. Obviously it wasn't the defensive coordinator Ben, but
at least he's come up on the right side of
things against them the last three times he's played them. James,
I'll take that. I'm looking for anything right now because
I still think that the cults are a bit better.
I think they have the opportunity to right themselves. Daniel Jones,

(09:35):
did he look like he was moving any better with
with with helping Australia? Could you really tell? Could you
see anything?

Speaker 4 (09:40):
He looked better than he did a week ago? From yesterday?
For sure?

Speaker 2 (09:45):
But at the same time genius analysis from James Boyd
here tune in people. You always look a little better
when you don't have big people diving at your leg.
So how does it feel on Sunday?

Speaker 3 (09:57):
Look, I mean I legitimately and James, you obviously had
that video last I think if you compare the last
Thursday video to this Thursday. He definitely looks better.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
Oh absolutely.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
I don't think it's by any means. You know, if
you really want to dissect the video, you still see
that foot dragon a little bit and that you definitely
and I think in the video that you had James,
you saw like a noticeable limp after Yeah, the specifics
he don't want to put on his leg last week,
whereas this week I didn't notice that as much. Yesterday.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
Well, his former college teammated gave him a bionic leg.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
Yeah exactly.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
He's like, well Smith and I robot.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Maybe the confidence is just up to the education.

Speaker 6 (10:33):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Confidence that might be might not be enough to fix
your fibula. I think it's drugs and a nice pad.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
I mean confidence in that sometimes when when it's new
and you're trying to deal with it and what's this
going to be like and how's it going to react?
I think you are initially a lot more protective of
it as opposed to you start to get more comfortable.
Now you've got that little little uh device that is
that is former duke roommate built that that's maybe giving

(11:01):
him support and maybe he doesn't feel like it hurts
as much as it did. I'm just saying maybe he
feels a lot more comfortable with this.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Is like when Nathan Brown shout out to Nathan Brown,
I love his work at any Star New Colts Beat reporter.
He did ask Daniel Jones earlier this week, is it
almost beneficial to get hit in the leg so you
know you can take a hit? And Daniel looked at
him and was like, Nope, not necessarily.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
I was waiting for dam Sell's feel like that is
an idiotical I think.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
He probably met it in the vein of a lot
of players say that they don't feel like they really
get juiced into the game until they take that.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
I think it's the confidence thing, like Kate Ken, you know,
am I not going to like freak out if I
get hit? But I was thinking he's probably, you know,
willing to avoid testing that theory out.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
Better chance the streaking Jacksonville ends or the streak over
Ohio State ends.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
Oh, Jacksonville for sure, Jacksonville for sure.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
I feel like Kevin is just a master with these questions.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
Every question people talk about the Jacksonville thing is a curse?
Is the Ohio State thing a curse? Or I think
it's been a lot better.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
That's occur I think that's just a different level than
thirty years about it.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
I just think tomorrow night is such a awesome feeling
for a fan because it's house money, Like it's one
versus two, but the ramifications if you lose, like usually
when you talk about the biggest game in your fandom's history,
there are some heartbreak on the other side of that.
Oh my gosh, there are tears if the result doesn't
go your way. Season's overval the other rival wins. You know,

(12:36):
oh my gosh, the dream is done. Like, no matter
what happens tomorrow night, in three weeks, Indiana's football team
will go out there and play a game where if
they win that game, there'll be one game away from
the national championship. Look, that's a dream. This is house money,
this is beauty. You are in Vegas and somehow you
have smartly put all your other chips in a bag

(12:58):
and you're still playing with a ton of them and
you're out money. Like, there's no negative. Again, I don't
think they'll fall out of the bye because who is
at five? Who's at five? Is it Orgon Oregon? Yeah,
you're not falling behind Oregon. You beat Oregon at Oregon.
I just think it's the ideal dream scenario for Indiana,

(13:21):
along with the you could end obviously the thirty year streak,
and you can win a Big Ten title and you
could be then in one team in the land.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
That's what somebody in the YouTube Chet said. It's deverse.
I don't know if it's diversus.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Four point spread. Let's not act like this.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
This is an Avalacian state trying to knock off Michigan
years ago.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
And I think one of the reasons they're getting a
lot more respect this year too, is when you look
at the way that they've been winning games like this
is a team that, like most great college football teams,
they are physical upfront on both sides of the ball,
and they have speed at the skilled positions. James, they
really truly do.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
You ain't gotta tell me I own a pair of
candy strip pants because they blitzed my team about a thousand. So,
assuming Illinois is not Ohio State on that level, it
should be a closer game come tomorrow night, but big matchup,
a lot at stake, and I think it will be
honestly really cool to see if you can knock off
big brother for a change.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Yeah, and Drew from Avon says Jacksonville for sure. Kevin,
I unfortunately believe that IU loses by fourteen plus. Hope
I'm wrong, But there are a lot of people that
I think are almost afraid to think that that. I
use actually on an Ohio State National Championship live level,
I don't that.

Speaker 5 (14:36):
I think Kevin, you're hitting a great point because I
think when you hear Ohio State, okay, full disclosure from Ohio,
a lot of Buckeye friends, I myself may or may not.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
Even throw you out of the show. It's okay, I'm
gonna have to throw you off the show.

Speaker 5 (14:48):
Hey, what I'm saying is like you hear Ryan Day
talk like they had three goals, beat Michigan, win the
Big Ten Championship, win a national championship, like both teams
care about this game tomorrow, and all the talk about
well what are the conference sh baby chips really mean? Like,
you're right, you have this rare scenario where both teams
are in they're okay.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
No matter what.

Speaker 5 (15:06):
But both teams care about this game a lot, and
so I can't wait to watch I think it's gonna
be awesome.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
Yeah, and one thing too. We talked a little bit
about it yesterday. You know Indiana's big moments last year,
Kurtzyny pointed out, you know, road environments where he felt
like they just didn't meet the moment. You know, again,
I think tomorrow will be a heavy Indiana crowd in there.
And then once again in the neutral site games, you're
not gonna have that. Remember how much Signetti was upset
with how they handled the noise at Ohio State. He
didn't point necessarily to the noise I think in South Bend,

(15:35):
but more just whatever. They weren't ready to face a
team of that of that quality or however you want
to label it. That thought shouldn't be there on the
neutral fields. And again, I don't think tomorrow night is
going to be a neutral field.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
You still think seventies. I'm leaning more towards you. You've
been saying seventy thirty all along. I think we were
saying James sixty five.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
I mean, we're not going to be able to tell
by the old Ariel shot. I don't know Scarlet different than.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Get up in the corner of Lucas Royle focusing on
the entire stadium.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
It's on.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
I'm just gonna pause the TV and start counting by Hey,
you have to have your color palette out.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Okay, what's Crimson? What's great?

Speaker 1 (16:10):
That's a James boy Saturday night right there. I'm gonna
pause the screen and just start counting.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
You know what's crazy? I agree to do like some
radio interview during that game. So boy, uh, they better
be ready for some loud people in the back.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
Of real journalism.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Yeah, they were asking, you want to come on and
talk about coltson you know Jaguar? Sure, And I did
not think about the time.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Third time ever we've gotten one versus two in the
Big Ten?

Speaker 1 (16:36):
Who are the other two times?

Speaker 6 (16:37):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (16:38):
Michigan Ohio State in six That was I remember that
one iconic game, and neither James nor I out of
the womb. Jeff, you recall Iowa Michigan in nineteen eighty five.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
I'm trying to think who the quarterback would have been.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Iowa that year.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
I vaguely remember, but I don't have sparkling memories of it.

Speaker 5 (16:58):
I want to guess the score that's got That's sounds
like a seven to six game.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
Ten to seven game, Steel Toad kicker makes the field goal.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
You know what, though, for all the talk and the
height that the SEC gets, you know that the highest
rated games the last couple of years have still been
Ohio State Michigan at noon.

Speaker 4 (17:17):
Well it's the game, yeah, for sure.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
But I mean you like that. You think again, like,
there's the SEC championship game this weekend Alabama Georgia. You know,
you think as rabbit as people are in that area
that it would go on. But eighteen point four million
viewers this past week from Michigan Ohio State. That's not shabby.
That is not too shabby. It's a lot of folks
watching TV.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
You know what, there's a little bit of random overlap here.
We brought up Kenny Moore, the second being the Walter
Payton Man of the Year, Ohio State's defense being led
by Matt Patricia. I was talking to Kenny in the
locker room yesterday and he said, Matt Patricia, when he
joined the league and was over in New England, was
one of the coaches that really told him he had
a shot to be good in the NFL and told him, hey,

(18:00):
just put your head down and work grind and if
you do that good things will happen. So I wonder
where Kenny's allegiance kind of lies this upcoming Saturday night.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
Well, that is one of the bigger differences from last
year's meeting is Ohio State. They get their defensive coordinator
Jim Miles now was at Penn State. Ironically enough, that
was kind of a big drama in the off season
here and Patricia's new to Ryan Day's staff and Ohio
State's defensive stork has put up some historic numbers here.
But again, their offense coordinator Brian Hartline just took the

(18:31):
job with South Florida there, and I think, you know,
Caleb just laid out, you know how Ryan Day views
the importance of goals. I do think that emotional hangover
could be real. I mean, Michigan is Michigan. You know,
beating Michigan's a little different than beating Perdue fifty whatever
to the hell that score was last Friday night. Indiana
has been circling the Big Ten title for weeks now.

(18:54):
Ohio State didn't circle it until Saturday at four o'clock. Once.
You know, Michigan did a great job defending the fifty
yard line.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
After the game, I think the interesting question for me
is in the big picture after this game, and I
mentioned this yesterday, if it's a close fought game, Let's
say that Indiana wins this game twenty seven to twenty four,
it goes down to the wire. Do both teams keep
their one in two seeds going into the postseason?

Speaker 3 (19:21):
Yeah, a lot probably depends on what Georgia does. Is
the three right? You know, if Georgia looks impressive beating Alabama,
they could jump. You know, maybe the committee wouldn't want
to drop the loser down to four because then you
could get that matchup in the semi finals of seats hold.
So you know, again, I'll I'll repeat what I said earlier.
I think both teams will still get a buy and

(19:42):
really that's all that matters. I mean, when you when
you look at the bracket, you know, last year Oregon
got the one seed and they got the worst draw.
So it just so much of it is just get
the buy. I think that's the goal for these teams
in Indiana and Ohio State are definitely gonna get the buy.
I'd be stunned, stunned if the well, I shouldn't say
stun The committee is a bunch of idiots. But I

(20:03):
really would be surprised if the committee all of a
sudden put either of these teams playing that opening weekend.
I guess it would give you a home game. Are
there any Are there any Indiana fans that want that?
Do they want the home game?

Speaker 7 (20:16):
Boy?

Speaker 3 (20:17):
Do you want that? Moment inside your.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Own Dadima be some odd fans I think for that
to kind of play out the way you're laying it out.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
All right, somebody who's been following, watching, consuming, and breathing
Indiana sports his entire life. Greg Rakes, draw the expert,
the authority on all things Indiana sports, joins us.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Next.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
It's ninety three to five and one seven. Fan Ah
takes me back to my youth. The comedy team of
Cheech and Chong. This war I think, isn't it Caleb?

Speaker 4 (20:50):
That is correct?

Speaker 1 (20:52):
Good stuff? And I think George Lopez uses some of
that too, doesn't he? James did never remind you that
it's good stuff?

Speaker 4 (20:57):
Yep?

Speaker 1 (20:58):
On a Saturday morning, it's all good because man, do
we have a pack weekend. We've been talking about it
all morning long. Of course, Number one versus Number two
College football Tomorrow night, Lucas Oil stadium, so much going on,
It's taken so long for Indiana to get here, but
they have arrived at this place in time, and here
to tell us more about that and get us ready
to go for another Jacksonville Colts tilt. The one the

(21:18):
only Greg Rakestraw joining us here on the Payless Liquers Hotline,
Greg and your entire Indiana sports loving life. Did you
ever think that, up until about eighteen months ago, you'd
ever see the day where Indiana is ready to take
their shot at Ohio State for number one?

Speaker 7 (21:35):
Not really, there was a scenario like the second or
third year of the Big Ten Championship game, back when
they actually had divisions and Ohio State and Penn State
were both on probation and weren't eligible for the game,
and there was a scenario like Indiana could have made
it at seven and five with like three weeks left

(21:57):
to go in the season, and Wisconsin summarily came to
Bloomington and beat them sixty two to ten. So that
was kind of the reminder of, no, this is not
gonna happen. So while this is not something that was
even a concept fifteen years ago, the fact of Indiana
being in this position and being number two in the nation,
potentially number one and playing for a championship and maybe

(22:18):
having the Heisman Trophy winner. The line that I have
most frequently used about it is a Normandale line from Hoosiers,
and that's like me and you going to the moon.
That's kind of what this is with Indiana football.

Speaker 4 (22:31):
I'd like that.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Yeah, a shout out to the movie Hoosiers, a classic.
I've been out there to Knightstown to see the gym
in person. Rake, when you look at the atmosphere that
will be on tap tomorrow here in downtown Indianapolis. You've
been to a lot of big moments for the city
in this state. How do you expect that to be
with I you Louisville on the hardwood in the early afternoon,

(22:55):
then obviously the big game on the grid iron that night.

Speaker 7 (23:00):
It's not going to be Super Bowl weekend. I'm not
sure it's going to be closed because that is the
Super Bowl. But if you ask most locals JB about
what they remember about the Super Bowl being here, it's
the fact that there was a quarter of a million
people on the Friday night before the Super Bowl. Uh,
and it was basically Indy spring. You know, indy five hundred,

(23:21):
everybody just went downtown and they literally if people had
to stop, they had to go to like radio, television.
People stop going downtown. We cannot take We're full, don't go.
I don't think it's going to be that. I think
it's going to be that level of atmosphere.

Speaker 6 (23:37):
So think about what.

Speaker 7 (23:38):
Would normally be here, maybe for a Final four and
double that or maybe even triple that, because you don't
have people just goes to show up and just want.

Speaker 6 (23:47):
To go to the party.

Speaker 7 (23:47):
And I don't blame them, I understand that completely. So
somewhere in the vicinity of what a five hundred feels
like or a Final four feels like, somewhere in the
middle of that, I think will be tomorrow and down Indianapolis.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
Rake, speaking of Hoosiers, did I read correctly that there
was like, I don't know, thirty or forty minutes cut
out of the original movie and they're going to release
that here soon. I don't know what service we would
watch it on. But did you hear anything along those lines?

Speaker 7 (24:21):
So I don't think it was thirty minutes. I think
it was closer to fifteen minutes. I think I could
be wrong about that that did not make the original movie.
I think there is already a director's cut that has
been released, but I think includes it. Maybe I'm wrong
about that. What I can tell you is this, the
fortieth anniversary of the release of Hoosiers is next year,

(24:44):
and there's at least going to be one event, if
not a couple or people are gonna be able to see.

Speaker 6 (24:48):
The full film that.

Speaker 7 (24:53):
Has maybe not been available on a regular basis or
shown publicly. So there are plans in the works for
that to take place in the fall of twenty twenty six.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
He is Greg Rag, so he's with us here on
the payloss Slickers hotline. Let's rewind to last week, Rake. Obviously,
we had the state finals. I would say the four
A game in particular was a great, great game between
Roncalli and Dwanger. Maybe if I labeled the biggest surprise
from championship weekend across the six classes, you would go where.

Speaker 7 (25:23):
I'm not sure there's one that that would be a
huge surprise. I thought the overarching maybe the score in
andre And and Brownstown Central being a score being one score.
Even though Browntown has been good for a long time,
they have never kind of had that breakthrough moments, and
they don't play the toughest of schedules because there's just

(25:44):
simply not that many great schools in football around them.
So the fact, I think a lot of folks out
that Andrean might thump him just because Andrean does play
a very good schedule, and so that game being competitive,
he was a surprise. Maybe some folks were surprised that
Maryraville was competitive with Newpal for as.

Speaker 6 (26:03):
Long as they were.

Speaker 7 (26:04):
And again the unfortunately for Maryville, their starting quarterback gets
hurt Kyler bone injury is what was suspected and couldn't
continue the game, and that will be a massive what
iff or you never know, you know, if you're from
the region and it's it's okay to wonder about that.

Speaker 6 (26:19):
Newpal's really damn good.

Speaker 7 (26:21):
But Marrayville was toe to toe of them for three
quarters and when with their backup quarterback in there for
the third of those quarters, for Newpal, you know kind
of finally pulled away in that game.

Speaker 6 (26:32):
So those are the surprises.

Speaker 7 (26:34):
But to me, Kevin, the overarching theme was we really
gonna have a true blowout.

Speaker 6 (26:38):
You know.

Speaker 7 (26:39):
The largest margin of victory was the first game with
South Puttingham beating you know, Pioneer By by twenty six
or twenty nine. But usually in the state finals there's
a forty or fifty point game at some point in time,
and we had nothing close to that. So going in
I probably thought that five of the six game is
going to be pretty good, and that's kind of how
it played out last right and Saturday.

Speaker 6 (27:01):
Greg.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
One other thing I want to tie in from high
school football last weekend to Indiana tomorrow, and you and
I both had the opportunity, we're blessed to call the
six a game you on TV meal radio, and we
saw Brown Brownsburg's Brandon Sharp just dominate the first half
like few players can. We know that he's getting all
kinds of look from power for schools all over the place.

(27:22):
Has Indiana gotten to the point where that's the kind
of school that a player like Brandon Sharp would consider
moving forward?

Speaker 6 (27:29):
I think so.

Speaker 7 (27:31):
And as good as Brandon Sharp is, I will give
you another player that I think is the true You know,
Canary and the coal Mine has a has a has
a negative connotation. I'm not sure that the Harbinger, how
about that for a for a positive connotation?

Speaker 6 (27:47):
Manchin Sales.

Speaker 7 (27:49):
He is a five star recruit. He is rated as
the fifth or sixth best player in his class.

Speaker 6 (27:55):
In the nation.

Speaker 7 (27:57):
His nickname is Bema. You know, you kind of you know,
can can tell you know the level of talent that
he is. You name the power school he's offered him.
But yet Omar Cooper l N Bybeon Chandler l N
both wide receivers at IU before that, Donovan McCully, you
know down with IU was an l N guy. You know,

(28:18):
does a national level recruit in your own backyard? Does
that guy go to Bloomington? That will truly to me.
And again that's the offense to Brandon Sharp, who's really
good and he's going to play a major college, major
level of college football. But Sales might be the end
up being the top wide receiver in his class in
the country. And does he end up at a place like IU.

(28:39):
If that is the case, then Katie bar the door
for the Hoosiers. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (28:44):
I'm looking at his list of offers right now.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
Indiana is on it, as my Illinois finding line are
as well and pretty much every other school in America.

Speaker 7 (28:53):
Yeah, I think the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have made him
an offer a lot of teams have offered him at
this point.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
They're going to add They're gonna adde out the Saskatchewan
rough Riders, is what they're gonna do.

Speaker 6 (29:03):
Greg right, correct? Absolutely? Ray?

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Did I see kylein? Then rippad there'll be some changes
to the Mister Football Award. Could you share a little
bit along those lines.

Speaker 7 (29:13):
Yeah, I think what it is is instead of having
just a position finalist, they will change it to maybe
multiple players at a same positioner finalist. And let's be
honest about it, it's because Miles McLaughlin is listed as
a quarterback and Jet Goldsberry is a quarterback, and clearly
they are the two best players in terms of candidates

(29:35):
for this award this season, and it'd be a shame
if one of those guys wasn't a finalist. So, yes,
it was a really smart move by the IFCA to
change it given whom the obvious candidates are for this year.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
Got it.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
So we used to just do top player at each
position now to be more like the Heisman ceremony where
you could have you know, Julian say in for Nando
Mendoza and Diego Pavia all theyre along with Jeremiah.

Speaker 7 (29:57):
Love direct and again that that change happened. And you
heard me cite this example before when they kind of
had four finalists born in that amazing twenty eighteen class
and George Karloftis wasn't one of them. And I would
tell people, Hey, you can get upset about it being
jack Ties over David Bell. The fact that George was
invited to the party is the much bigger problem. Thankfully,

(30:19):
it seemingly hasn't affected him too much in terms of
his success in the National Football League.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Last thing for me, Greg Sunday, big opportunity for the Colts.
It's been a while since they've been able to beat Jacksonville.
How does this work if the Cults are going to
come out with a win here?

Speaker 6 (30:34):
Jonathan Taylor left, Jonathan Taylor right. You have to be.

Speaker 7 (30:42):
I understand, you have tendencies, and you have this is
the way I want to play. At some point in time,
you have a look around the room and go, hey,
we have to change this up. And again, this is
not a bad football team, the Indianapolis Colts.

Speaker 6 (30:53):
They're not.

Speaker 7 (30:54):
They're just not playing at that same level they were
the first two months of the season. Injuries are a
part of it. Injury affect every football team. So I
understand establishing throwing the ball first and then trying to
run the ball. I understand you have belief in your offense.
Let's take the opening kickoff. But now things aren't working.
You're losing close games. Now it's the part where you go,

(31:14):
all right, let's change things up. You win the opening
coin toss, defer, don't save Jonathan Taylor in a glass
case for the third quarter. The student body left, student
body right. You may want to break out of nineteen
eighty seven Eric Dickerson game plan if you're the Indianapolis
Colts trying to take some of the pressure off a
quarterback who is clearly one hundred percent but is obviously

(31:36):
your best option at this point in Daniel Jones, Rake.

Speaker 4 (31:40):
Where are you tonight? Are you calling a game?

Speaker 7 (31:43):
I am at the Burge Auditorium at North Central watching
my daughter sing in the accents as part of the
More Joyful Sounds Christmas Show, which is legendary.

Speaker 6 (31:54):
In Washington Township.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
All right, well for yes, so.

Speaker 7 (31:59):
I'll make out for it by doing three games tomorrow.
Why don't you have tonight off?

Speaker 3 (32:02):
So good?

Speaker 6 (32:03):
Good for you?

Speaker 3 (32:04):
What's the schedule tomorrow, so I you.

Speaker 7 (32:06):
Indy at two o'clock as they play host to Youngstown State,
and then I will have the last two games of
the Sneakers for Santa event at Brownsburg, which has seven.

Speaker 6 (32:15):
Games in total. Tomorrow to start at ten am.

Speaker 7 (32:18):
I will have Male High School out of Louisville versus Pike,
and then I will have Fishers and Mount Vernon, which
is likely a clash of the best team in the
state and Fishers and the best player in this class
and the mister basketball heavy favorite in Purdue bound Luke Hurdle.
And that game tips at about eight fifteen tomorrow night.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
Well enjoy your daughter's performance tonight. Man, that's cool, Thank
you appreciate it all right. There is Greg greg Straw
joining us on the Payloss Liquors hotline. In fact, next
time you'll have an opportunity to hear him tomorrow morning
Soccer Saturday at nine am. Passion play for him. He
loves that machine, absolute machine. Greg Raychal the energizer Bunny
and no question about that. Better get on board, Kaylee, Caleb,

(33:01):
let's go. I came to speak this morning and I was.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
Like, says, way, you give some money then I was
gonna go to vino.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
I was able to drop the vino. Cal and Jackson
were in the building here.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
I didn't know Kaylen was in the morning. Shouts to
the Uh, you've been knocking it out of the park
this morning, my man, good job out of you.

Speaker 3 (33:21):
Need some more birthday songs. Need people to drop some
birthday songs in the chat.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
I'm running out of ideas here past the obvious like Beatles, right,
Today's birthday, we want you.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
I could have played I can play that as well,
all right.

Speaker 7 (33:33):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
We are always celebrating the arrival of our next guest here.
He is the voice of the Indianapolis Colts, good friend
of the show, good friend of the station, good friend
to everybody. It's Matt Taylor on the Payless Liquors hotline.
Uh are you gonna wish Happy birthday to James this morning?

Speaker 6 (33:48):
Happy birthday, James.

Speaker 7 (33:50):
I did not realize this, man, I feel I feel crummy.
I apologize James, Happy birthday, and Caleb, well done with
the ojys on the re entry. My friend got everybody
fired up up on a Friday.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
I love it.

Speaker 7 (34:01):
Everybody some warmth on a very cold Friday morning here
in the Circle City. Oh, happy birthday, brother.

Speaker 4 (34:08):
Much appreciated.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
I'm very disappointed I to get a text from you
from the first time you woke up and opened your
eyes this morning with me.

Speaker 4 (34:13):
But I'll let's just lie.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
Hey, kids, before I say a word to you, I
need a text, James.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
Boyd Well, No, I appreciate it, man. You guys make
the work day of the birthday pretty fun.

Speaker 7 (34:24):
Oh absolutely, brother, No, that's all me, dude. I feel
like I said, I feel bad man, because normbly I'm
on top of that stuff. But you're definitely in the
circle of trust. Right back in the day the T mobile,
You're in my five.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
I apologize.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
The voice of the gold he is Matt Taylor. Anybody
under fifteen is gonna know. Probably twenty he's gonna know
what he's talking about. I'm gonna say, definitely older than fifteen.
He will give us his tailor's tidbits. Colts and Jaggs
coming up on Sunday, Matt Taylor, I want to start
here though.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
You are a big time I you football fan, but
I want to play it from the Don Fisher side
of it. Two o'clock game, bridge Field outs tomorrow. I
Louisville and then first slides over to Lukasol Stadium for
the eight o'clock kick. Have you ever had a day
like that? And I guess what would your preparation look like?
Are you just throat lozengering up, not talking to a

(35:13):
single soul between four o'clock and seven thirty.

Speaker 7 (35:16):
Well, it's more it's you know, it's more about like
the week of Like I think Don's week this week
has got to be pretty crazy because remember he was
probably out of pocket, you know, for like a day
and a half because they had that basketball game in Minnesota.
Oh that's right, yeah too, So his week of preparation
has to be I've been there, you know. I think

(35:37):
the closest thing to that has to be, you know,
back in the day when I was doing high school
basketball in high school football at the same time, you know,
a couple of basketball games the week of Thanksgiving week
with state championship game, football games, you know, whatever it
was back in the day, you know, five or six
games in the course of you know, four or five days.
And that's what Don's going through right now. But I

(35:59):
mean every I you sports fan is relishing this opportunity
for a guy like Don Fisher to be on the
biggest stage and to have these moments and to have
some signature calls coming up in the next forty eight hours,
so really really cool stuff for him. So I'm sure
he's had a lot of late nights, and I'm sure
his organization and his prep has been tested, but he's

(36:22):
still a total pro, still getting it done, and you know,
it's gonna be really exciting. But there's no question that
he's going to have to compartmentalize and memorize a lot
of names and numbers and figures and keep it all straight.
And some of the biggest athletic moments that Indiana University
sports basketball and football has experienced in the last couple

(36:43):
of years, there's no doubt about that.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Matt Taylor joining us on the playlist Lookers hotline this morning.
You ready to get to it, my man?

Speaker 6 (36:51):
I'm ready.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
All right, go Caleb, let's go.

Speaker 7 (36:55):
All right, let's talk about how big of a game
this is in week number fourteen. I don't know if
you guys saw it. I saw it, so you guys
probably saw it. The Jaguars on social media, they've already
proclaimed this is their biggest regular season game in franchise history.
You've got two eight and four teams squaring off in
Week fourteen, only four games to play after this upcoming

(37:16):
Sunday and Sunday's game. It's gonna mark just the third
regular season game hosted in the city of Jacksonville in
December or January where both teams playing in the game
have a winning percentage of six sixty six or higher.
The Jacksonville is surging. They've won three in a row.

(37:38):
The Colts have hit a few hurles lately, they dropped
three of their last four. The Jags look like they're
headed in the right direction from a franchise standpoint under
first year head coach Liam Cohen, who, by the way,
prior to this year has never been a head coach
at any level you know as a coach. But they're
looking to pull off the worst to first. At least

(38:00):
one NFL team has gone worse the first winning its
division the season after finishing tyor in less place in
twenty of the last twenty three NFL season, So Jacksonville
looking to do that this year. They were four and
thirteen last year. They've already doubled up their win total
from twenty twenty four and it's a franchise that's made

(38:23):
the postseason just four times in the last twenty years.
So there's no question they're going to be hungry coming
up on Sunday. And I think one of the areas
where the Colts need to get back to prowess is
running the football. But that's going to be tough on
the Jaguars because they have held their last three opponents
to under seventy rushing yards and their defense currently leads

(38:47):
the NFL giving up only eighty two rushing yards per game.
They've given up less than one thousand rushing yards on
the season so far through twelve games. That's not great
news for Jonathan Taylor because he's played the Jaguars four
times in his career down at EverBank Stadium and he's
averaging just forty three rushing yards a game in North

(39:09):
Florida against the Jaguars. Three times, he's been held to
under sixty yards on the road against the Jags. Now,
the Colts, they got to find a way to get
that running game going on Sunday because this is going
to be good on good. The Colts have forty four
carries of over ten yards on the season. That is
fourth most in the NFL. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have allowed

(39:30):
just twenty four yards over ten yard twenty four carries
I should say over ten yards. That's the fourth fewest
so far in the NFL. So I don't think the
offense for the Colts is nearly as dependent on Jonathan
Taylor as it has been in years past. But there's
no question that Taylor is still the biggest piston inside
this engine offensively for the Colts. Case in point there,

(39:54):
the Colts are six and oh this season when Taylor
has at least ninety rushing yards, but they're two to
four this year when he's less than that, and he's
got less than ninety yards in all three of their
losses here recently. And then the last thing I want
to point out the Taylor tidbit. You got to keep
Daniel Jones clean.

Speaker 6 (40:14):
All right.

Speaker 7 (40:14):
The Colts that they've averaged, or they did, average thirty
three points a game in the first eight weeks of
the season. That numbers down to twenty one points per
game in the last four. But Daniel Jones' numbers have
been controlled in that time as well. So you look
at his last four games a quarterback for Daniel Jones.
He's got an eighty six point six passer rating, sixty
one percent completion percentage, six touchdowns, four interceptions, and he

(40:39):
only has one rushing touchdown, and he's taken thirteen sacks
in the last month of the season. Now, Jacksonville on defense,
they only have twenty four sacks on the season, but
that's a little bit deceptive because they've got sixteen of
those sacks since Week nine, which are fifth most in
the NFL in that span. So teams are going to

(41:00):
keep coming after the Colts. They're going to send those
extra rushers until the Colts can prove they can gash
it for big plays and put up a big point
total and get a win doing it. And it starts
up front with great protection. Then it's Daniel Jones needing
to recognize where the pressure is coming from, get the
ball out on time. And then lastly, I think Colts

(41:20):
receivers they got to do a better job of winning
on the outside, winning their one on one matchups, getting
free releases, getting open to make big plays outside the
numbers or wherever that blitz is coming from from the defense. Obviously,
it's much easier said than Donefellows but I think big picture,
the Colts are going to continue to see that, you
know whatever, it is a facsimile of what they've endured

(41:42):
in the recent past until they prove they have a
winning formula to beat it and hopefully kind of lessen
the amount of pressures they're seeing in the face of
Daniel Jones.

Speaker 3 (41:53):
Excellent per usual from Matt Taylor. There the tailor's tidbits.
I wanted to go back to the run game element
map because you we had this discussion a little bit
earlier in the show, and you know, one constant I
do feel like has been true throughout this streak down
there is I think Jacksonville's D line has gotten the
better of the Colts O line, and you point out
the run game has not gotten going for the Colts lately,

(42:13):
and considering the weather, you would think that would be
the blueprint. But that is what Jacksonville does stop really well.
That's probably their greatest strength as a football team is
their run defense. On paper, so much of it points
to you throw against them. But right you know, again
that's going against Jonathan Taylor and potentially against the weather.

(42:33):
So I think that's a very interesting dilemma for Shane
Stike and heading into Sunday.

Speaker 7 (42:38):
Yeah, and it's gonna be sloppy too, right, I mean,
it's supposed to rain. There's like a ninety four percent
chance of rain. I don't know if that's going to
be consistently throughout the course of the day, but I
think you're gonna have precipitation and it's going to impact
the field, which impacts the footing. So that might be
a little bit of advantage for the Colts and the trenches.
You know, maybe that lessons you know, the Jaguars to

(43:00):
stop the run. I mean I think that I don't
think the cults are going to run wild in this game,
you know, for something crazy like two hundred yards, but
maybe if they can get north of the ridiculous eighty
two that the Jaguars are giving up, that would be beneficial.
Jacksonville is just a really mysterious team, and I think
Liam Cohen kind of said it best because a lot
of people are looking at, you know, how they've done

(43:21):
it and it's not really flashy, you know, eight and
four is eight and four. But Liam Cohen just said,
like that team down there just has an edge, a
better right. They've got like a tough DNA makeup collectively
as a group, and you know, it kind of defies
logic a little bit because you know, you look offensively,
Trevor Lawrence, he's not having, you know, a sensational individual

(43:43):
statistical season. You know, Like it sounds cliche, we say
it all the time, but I think it's true. Like
a lot of teams go as their starting quarterback goes. Well,
if if that were true for the Jacksonville Jaguars, they
should be four and eight, not eight and four, based
on the season that Trevor Lawrence has had. Another thing
that's really weird about their offense, and I think I
putted it out with Jake yesterday, is that it's concerning

(44:06):
going into this game for the Colts because of what
has happened the last two games, where the Chiefs and
Texans have really ball controlled the Colts to the tune
of seventy seven minutes a time of possession combined. The
Jaguars are eighth and time of possession, but they're twenty
sixth and third down conversion rate. Like, I don't know
how those two things can exist at the same time, Like,

(44:27):
how can you hold on to the ball for that long?
But be that that on third down, like it just
doesn't compute.

Speaker 6 (44:33):
But if you look.

Speaker 7 (44:34):
Deeper, the defense is getting a lot of takeaways. They're
really good against the run. They're getting the ball back
into the hands of the offense pretty quick. So that's
kind of how they're doing it. So they're not flashy.
You know, even in a big win last week against
Tennessee where they had seven punts and five three and ounce,
they were still able to win by twenty two points.
So I think collectively, it's just a tough you know,

(44:56):
it's a tough team. They're very aggressive in how they play.
Obviously for the Colts, it's a difficult place to play
down at EverBank Stadium, and now you're going to have
a weather component to it as well.

Speaker 2 (45:06):
On Sunday, May do you burn some sage before you
head down to Jacksonville?

Speaker 4 (45:10):
How does that work?

Speaker 7 (45:11):
You know, Like it really is so confusing, because again
I say this with all due respect, you know to
the Jaguars, because they they're the ones that have actually
done it. They've won nine in a row, so there's
something to it. But you know, EverBank Stadium, God bless it,
it's it's it's getting renovated and it's going through a
massive facelift for a reason. It's it's not an intimidating

(45:34):
place to play. You know, the Jaguars fans are great,
but it's not like Lambeau or Foxborough. Uh, it's just
I don't know what it is. Boys like there is
there is a curse in that building for this team,
and Kevin you mentioned it. You know that the line
of scrimmage has really been routinely controlled by Jacksonville historically.
Down there. Another thing that's popped up, and I know

(45:55):
we've talked about this in years past, is just turnovers.
The Colts have lost nine in our to Jacksonville on
the road, and seven of those nine games they've lost
a turnover battle. And their turnover differential for the Colts
is minus thirteen in those nine games. So you don't
really have to be a football savant to understand why
the Colts have routinely gotten on the plane in North
Florida and then flown back in pretty somber mood.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
You go with David Busters tomorrow night to watch the game.

Speaker 7 (46:22):
Man, I don't know what I'm gonna do. I know
I've got two friends coming down that are going to
be celebrating their fortieth birthday parties. So I'm going to
hit up with them and kind of latch on to
see what they want to do and where they want
to go. But I'm going to be front and center
somewhere watching that game. And that's the most disappointing part
about the IU football fan and the job that I

(46:43):
have is because every year, I know where I'm not
gonna be this time of year, and that's in Indianapolis
because Lucas Oil Stadium is always hosting the Big Ten
championship game. And I've never really been bummed out about
it because my team's never been at it until now.
And so if there ever was a time where I
kind of lamit, uh, you know, the Colts being on
the road, it would be this this this Saturday. But uh,

(47:04):
you know, I'll be watching from Afar, and uh, I
can't wait for it. It's it's it's such a special time.
As Jeff said, to be you know an Indiana sports fan.

Speaker 3 (47:12):
Now, you told me a few weeks back, fortieth birthday
parties are no joke, right.

Speaker 7 (47:17):
I Mean they're kind of like they're kind of like
bachelorette and Bachelor parties, like everybody tries to like one
up each other, and everybody feels they like they have
to go big, and to be honest with you, it's
kind of putting a strain on my wallet a little
bit because everybody wants to go do a dinner or
go out of town or do Vegas or get a
party bus. And I'm like, we're forty, not twenty, Like

(47:38):
I want to be in bed by ten thirty, and
I got two kids at home, and I know you
do too, right, So it's like, what are we trying
to do here? But uh yeah, well, I mean I do, don'tut.

Speaker 4 (47:51):
You can pach him later.

Speaker 7 (47:52):
Mae, I know, I know.

Speaker 3 (47:54):
I mean he started with the financial aspect. I can
totally understand that, and then he said I want to
be in bed. Vibe Yeah, may tell you got.

Speaker 4 (48:00):
To hit them with the class.

Speaker 6 (48:01):
What's that?

Speaker 2 (48:02):
Coach College goes, Oh, man, I'm forty, that's what you
got to do right here.

Speaker 7 (48:07):
Just I need it, you know what, You're right? I
need to beat my own ass after I uh, I
went on that that rant right there, But I mean, look,
it is fun. It's kind of like high school football
open house or high school graduation open house. You know,
everybody's doing one, and it's great. You want to celebrate everybody,
but uh, you know everybody you know, and you're like
inner circle friend circles turning forty all at the same time,

(48:28):
and uh, it's it's it's fun you get to see everybody.
But uh, there's no question everybody's trying to find something
new and different. You'll get there one day, Kevin, give
it about four or five. Trust you'll know exactly what
I'm talking about.

Speaker 3 (48:39):
Right around the corner.

Speaker 1 (48:40):
Throw one back for James tomorrow.

Speaker 7 (48:43):
Hell yeah, I one back for all of you.

Speaker 3 (48:45):
Thank you. Make it to the game.

Speaker 7 (48:49):
Call the game, mate, I don't I don't discriminate, Jeff.

Speaker 3 (48:52):
That's good.

Speaker 1 (48:53):
I like, that's one of the things I love about you. Man. Hey,
have fun this week and enjoy the game. Stay healthy,
travel safe, and let's get it. W Let's go.

Speaker 7 (49:02):
You got it, my friends. I'll talk to you all right.

Speaker 1 (49:04):
Matt, there is the one, the only Matt Taylor may Tay.
We call them here only pay Less Liquors Hotline. I
didn't I didn't realize so many people. I mean, everybody
has birthdays every day, but in our little world here
a little circle to get everybody's having a birthday right now.

Speaker 3 (49:18):
That might be the truest samon you've ever made every
day every.

Speaker 1 (49:22):
Day, but I'm saying in our little world.

Speaker 3 (49:25):
We need that audio. But don't feel special, James, No.

Speaker 4 (49:28):
I don't feel special at all.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
I told you my birthday gets over signed by the
person and I share wish out to my sister.

Speaker 3 (49:33):
They should carry Don Fischell in like a throng from
Gamebridge Field House over to Lucasoul Stadium, like have the
IU fans just carry them on one of those like
something to see like in a foreign country in these
parades or something, you know, I carry them down Georgia.

Speaker 2 (49:46):
Honestly think the fans would be one, honored enough drunk
enough to do it.

Speaker 3 (49:51):
Yes, Yes, honored and drunk enough key two key ingredients
of that.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
Also, i'd actually watch put it up on my computer.
On the side, I would love to see just a
video stream of Fish Collins came Saturday night. That'd be fun.
