Speaker 1 (00:00):
You were listening to the Best of the Fan Morning
show on ninety three five and one oh seven five
the fan Mark coming through early on a Thursday morning.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Here you go, there's a bitching now it's been played.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
It's a cool show. You should check it out.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Man, if I knew where to stream it at these days,
you need it. I can't. I don't have any DVD
player anymore. I need a DVD play.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
You can watch it all kinds of there's all kinds
of channels to play a Man Magnum Man Tom Selleck vehicle,
and the vehicle was the star of that one of
the stars of the show too.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Then get your vehicle Outmark, be kind rewind shout out
to my grandma. You have off it.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
You can't record over it?

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Is that right?

Speaker 2 (00:59):
That's what they always said. I was always confused by
that anyway.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
But Mark continuing today to play some TV themes as
we did yesterday, we got a lot of reaction from that.
People like that looks like, I did you put out
the whole list like you always do yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Yeah. The Sundance channel apparently has Magnum p I reruns.
I don't know if I get that channel.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
I have to look that up the Sun Dance channel.

Speaker 5 (01:20):
That sounded like something I would sound trick to you
to watch a round of thirty two game during the tournament.

Speaker 6 (01:27):
And say, if they ever expand the tournament, sounds like
we'll get games on that.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
So, the Indiana Pacers still looking for a win. Last night,
they they came close but couldn't quite get it done
against the Dallas Mavericks. And we'll take a look back
at that game as the Pacers Playback is presented by
CNJ Water, the official water treatment partner of the Indiana
Pacers cnjwater dot Com. We saw some G League type players,
but we also saw just tough free throw shooting, a

(01:54):
tough shooting night for the Pacers all the way around.
And the chance was there for him because Anthony Davis
left the game early after a few minutes and Kyrie
Irving was not playing. Their number one overall pick Cooper
Flagg did play had a double double with fifteen to ten.
But I wonder how many opportunities like that that the
Pacers are gonna get as we roll through the season here.

Speaker 6 (02:12):
Kevin, Yeah, I mean, I guess Friday, we'll see about
Tree Young's status, but you know he left last night,
so you know, potentially he could catch a break there.
And let me throw in the caveat. I fully understand
the Pacers are in a far worst injury situation, but yeah, honestly,
I thought the last night the G League guys gave
you more than you could have asked for. Frankly, I
thought the game really turned in a positive direction for

(02:33):
the Pacers. Win Quintin Jackson and ray J Dennison, even
mac McClung got in there in the first half and
they built a double digit lead, and you know, really
it was kind of your your starters that shot it
really poorly. And I guess it's not the most shocking
thing because you know, for the case of Nie Smith Walker,
shephard those three in particular, they've never been this high

(02:55):
on the scouting report in their NBA lives.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
No No, And to that point, Kevin think also, we
can go back and look at it and shout out
to Kaitlin Cooper, who is incredible when it comes to
Pacers basketball covers.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
For basketball, she wrote, I'd encourage you. I'll check out
her work.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
But she's kind of laid it out there, especially with
like clips and things like that, just the shot quality
you get when it's not Tyr's Halliburton running your offense.

Speaker 6 (03:18):
They look a little unorganized. Yeah, with so Shepherd, I
wouldn't mind seeing a point guard with the starting unit.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
I get that.

Speaker 6 (03:25):
If you were listing your five best players, Ben Shepherd
is one of them right now. Yeah, but I think
ray J, Dennis Quintin, Jackson mac McClung, whatever you want
to do, one of them, probably ray J one of
them with that starting unit, and it might be too
big for them in the starting line right. But Shepherd's
just I mean, he wasn't a point guard at what
Belmont for Somebody doesn't say Bradley ys Belmont, so you're

(03:50):
asking him to play out of position and he's usually
kind of your tenth energy guy, so that might be
And again maybe that's not going to solve anything, but
really it was your starting lineup that was the issue
for you last night there. So yes, I would say
your offensive flow, particularly in the half court, is a
far far cry, which isn't too shocking.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
You guys talked about the kind of a roller coaster
ride for Jeris Walker. He did score twenty points. He
had six rebounds, he was five of nineteen from the floor.
Did shoot there the free throws well at six for seven,
and a chance for him to start racking up some
minutes and finding out what he can truly do night
in and night out in the NBA. This is a
golden opportunity for him as we go through all these injuries.

(04:33):
Sometimes you know this benefit somebody like that. And what
did you see overall from Jeris Walker last night?

Speaker 6 (04:39):
Well, he made my heart do some things at ten
thirty on a Wednesday night that probably isn't too too
good for me. Yeah, just roller coaster, That's how I
would describe it. There's no fear from him. Offensively, you
do appreciate that aspect to him, But James, it's just
it's very up and down with him. And you know
I mentioned on yesterday's show, I'm really looking forward to

(05:01):
If I can look forward to anything with the Pacers
right now, it would be the Walker is gonna get
consistent clock you would think for the next X amount
of games, X amount of weeks. But last night it
was definitely some great, great moments and then some moments
of old boy is at the shot selection and then
again I get it you're kind of backed into a
corner here. But yes, roller coaster is how I would
describe the Jarris Walker individual performance from last night.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
Absolutely.

Speaker 5 (05:25):
I mean, you look at the the skill set he
has allows him to a lot of different things, but
it's like, what things can you do well? And guys
who are able to do a bunch of stuff but
maybe not well, what benefit is that to the team
or to your game? And so I think that again,
I go back to what I asked you yesterday Kevin,
about you know, how difficult is it for Jarris who

(05:47):
worked on these things as far as shot making and
playmaking and all this stuff over the summer. How hard
is it to kind of take a step in one
area when all of a sudden you're being asked to
do so many different things. Yes, you get more minutes,
you get more opportunity, but the opportunity isn't funneled really
anywhere right now. It's kind of just like, hey, here's
some minutes with a bunch of random guys, and we'll

(06:08):
ask you to defend rebound, shot creating, also knock down
the occasional three. So I understand, like, maybe why he's
struggling a bit shooting the basketball and you know, with
his role, But at the same time, it's like, what
else do you really have in store for you when
you're so depleted and you are suddenly, you know, guy
number three on the scouting report.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
Yeah, I think that's a good way to put it.

Speaker 6 (06:30):
Mark, I don't know if you've ever felt this way
with any of your children, but like watching Jaris Walker
last night, I felt like it was like watching Max
bow and get on the monkey bars for like the
first time. I'm like, oh, is this gonna end well
or horrific? Like is he gonna make it to the
other side or is he gonna fall and crack his
head open here? That's how I'm watching Jaris Walker.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
The number of times I've had to sprint across the
playground because like, Dad, I need help. I'm like, good lord,
we're not going to the er, so let's get let
me run over there.

Speaker 6 (06:54):
I like want him to get stuck on the first bar.
I'm like, don't get to the third bar, because that's
when you know there are sharks in that water underneath you.

Speaker 7 (07:01):
There.

Speaker 6 (07:01):
That's how I feel about Jaris Walker of like, wait,
he's got the ball in this one on one situation
and there's like four in the shot clock.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
How is this going to end?

Speaker 7 (07:10):
So?

Speaker 6 (07:10):
Yeah, it's it is an odd, odd time to watch
the Pacers. But I know probably a large chunk of
our audience was deep in rem sleep of the final
play last night. I I have watched the old foul
go to the line down three, make the first try

(07:31):
to miss the second thing. I don't know, probably one
hundred times. I don't know if I've ever seen a
team get that good of a look. James Aaron Smith
ran to the three point line. Did you notice that?

Speaker 4 (07:41):
Yeah? So again is that the scene?

Speaker 5 (07:43):
And Pascal basically passed it. I wonder if he would
have got to assist for that. He should have should have
so Ray j Dennis.

Speaker 6 (07:49):
It's a three down six, you cut it two three,
Dallas comes down. They can theoretically ice the game with
the bucket. They don't score, Pacers get the rebound, and
they didn't have any timeouts. Knowing Rick Carlile, he probably
just would have let them play Dallas. Jason Kidd is
going nuts on the sidelines, by the way, I had
no idea. Frank Vogel was an assistant for the Maverick
shout out to Frank Vogel. Jason Kidd is going nuts.

(08:11):
He gets his team to foul Dennis with what I
don't know, five seconds, six seconds to go in the game.
So ray J goes the foul line, hits the first
free throw, which is obviously task number one, and as
he's getting ready to shoot the second free throw, I'm
sitting there thinking to myself, here comes Aaron E. Smith
flying in from behind the arc Allah the Cleveland game.
That's what I thought would happen, you know, like if

(08:33):
you're Dallas, I don't know how much they went into
the scout. That's pretty deep into the scout. But like
we're used to Aaron E. Smith being the high flying
circus sackt on these you know, miss free throws. Ray
J misses the free throw and I'm watching Nie Smith
and he immediately sprints to the right wing, which I'm like, whoa,
He's not even going for the rebound here. So it's

(08:56):
like a mini scrum. And as James said, there, Pascal
Siakam is switched in this scrum. I'm pretty sure he
got his palm on the ball tips it out to
Nie Smith, who got a in rhythm pre game or
month three. I mean, there's no other way to describe
it as the long line to ring perfect for the

(09:17):
camera angle. Everything short, just short, and it doesn't go in.
There were so many crazy day April last year. That
shot went in one hundred out of one hundred times.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
So many crazy things about that game. And I love
looking at box scores. It's one of my nerdy things
that I like to do. Craziest box score you're ever
going to see last night, the Pacers outshot that just
a number of shots they took. They took one hundred
and six last night, compared to seventy nine for the Mavericks. Now,
the problem was they only hit on thirty five percent

(09:47):
of those. The Mavericks hit on forty six percent of theirs.
The other thing was crazy. You talked about the free
throws thirty of thirty seven for the Mavericks and just
eighteen of twenty eight for the Pacers, And and the
Pacers out rebounded the.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Mavericks by five last night.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
I mean, just all those metrics are crazy. In a
two point game, you just don't see those kinds of
numbers throughout the box score for a close game. And
still the Pacers had an opportunity to win it at
the end and just couldn't get it done.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
It was a weird game.

Speaker 6 (10:17):
Yeah, and again the foul shooting for the Pacers, like
you just sixty four percent from the line, So can't
be that. Time to regroup and we'll see if anybody
gets back. I want to say Taylor Peter was listed
as doubtful. You know, typically we get guys that are
at least doubtful questionable the game before they come back.
I believe he was the only one on that lengthy
injury list. They showed an overhead shot of the time out.

(10:38):
At one point there were more dudes in the street
clothes huddle than they were in the actual huddle.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
It's not good.

Speaker 6 (10:45):
You had like a huddle of McConnell them hard to
Toppin's hair looked great last night, by the way. I
know he's capable of that. Matherin furfey. You know, all
of them in the street clothes huddle never a good sign.
And that's more body in that than there are in
the actual bench huddle.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
All right, So the Pacers next couple of games, though
they've got a lot of work to do. They've got
Atlanta tomorrow night. They've got Golden State on Saturday with
Steph Curry coming to town, and then the return of
Miles Turner on Monday, and then Wednesday they play Brooklyn.
So the next next four games, that's what you're looking
at for the Pacers.

Speaker 6 (11:21):
James, your colleague Eric name going to join us here,
coming up at nine to thirty. We had him on
during the Pacers Bucks series last year. I want to
say we maybe even had him on right after the
Miles Turner signing. And I can't recall specifically, but I
believe he had a report earlier sometime in the offseason. Again,
the Turner deal from Milwaukee I believe was four years,

(11:42):
one hundred and seven million when it was all said
and done, and I want to say he had a
report where the Pacers never offered more than three years.
I think the number was sixty six million. So we'll
have Eric confirmed that when he joins us, coming up
at nine thirty. But you know, do the math on that.
I mean, that's what twenty two million a year That

(12:03):
ain't anywhere near well and obviously here. Yeah, So I
think there are a lot of questions about, hey, would
Miles have given the pace. Did Miles give the Pacers
a chance to count?

Speaker 4 (12:12):
You know all that? He said?

Speaker 5 (12:13):
She said, So we'll have Erica on coming up, and
somebody offers me one hundred million plus the first time,
I'm saying yes, I'm not waiting for anybody else to
match it.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Hey, one other thing, I think that game to one
Night Atlanta is a Commissioner's Cup game?

Speaker 3 (12:26):
Is it not? Yes? I'm pretty sure it is. Yeah,
So that's their first So.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
Do they do like is that the boom Baby Court?
Is it different this year?

Speaker 5 (12:33):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (12:34):
I believe it is. I remember seeing a picture of
it and I loved it. But I can get confused
very easily on which courts and which jerseys teams are rocking.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
I just wait and find out what it is when
I show up. I don't but they look cool. Pacers
Playback presented by CNJ Water, the official water treatment partner
of the Indiana Pacers. Cnjwater dot Com Check them out.
Indianapolis Colts get back to work yesterday. Long list of
guys that did not participate. We've talked about that just
a little bit. But they do have a road game
coming up against Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday,

(13:08):
and he's just got to keep it rolling. One of
the things I noticed over the last two days, as
you know, every Tuesday and Wednesday, trying to fill space,
a lot of these sports sites, they start, you know,
who's your midseason MVP, who's the Offensive Player of the year,
Who's the rookie of the year, who's the offensive lineman
of the year. A lot of Colts showing up in
a lot of places. Quentin Nelson get in love for

(13:28):
the offensive Lineman of the year, Jonathan Taylor obviously Offensive
Player of the Year. One thing I noticed, and we
talked about it with the Odds yesterday, Mark was as
far down as Daniel Jones is. I'm seeing a lot
of people start the narrative now that, well, Daniel Jones
is doing great, but also kind of like he did
when Sakuon Barkley had that breakout year with the Giants.
Was his best year?

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Is it?

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Because there's so much pressure being taken off him from
out the rest of the offense, and I feel like
that does a disservice to what Daniel Jones has provided.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
James. I think he's been a key gogan in this success.
So far, He's been.

Speaker 5 (14:00):
One of the ten best quarterbacks in football this year
and probably higher than that, and I think ten is
just like a safe number. But if he told me
he's the top five quarterback this year, I'll probably be like, Okay,
well show me the others who are played better. I
don't think this is the Giant season at all, really,
because when they went to the playoffs in twenty twenty two,
I believe they were running him a lot, and it

(14:23):
felt the offense was more gimmicky, where it's like, all right,
we're gonna do a lot of zone read stuff, RPO stuff,
and in English terms for those listening, it means basically,
we're going to design a bunch of plays that utilize
our quarterbacks legs and mobility more so than his arm.
Whereas with the Colts, he's not been a runner, thankfully,

(14:44):
because every time he runs it doesn't seem always in well,
he takes a hit and you know, learn this slot
like Michael Pitman Junior did last week, which was pretty funny.
But getting back to the point, his ability to push
the ball down the field is unlike anything we've seen
in his career with the Colts, and then on top
of that taking care of the football. I mean, this
is a dude who had a ton of turnovers when

(15:06):
he played for the Giants. I want to say it
was almost a one to one ratio as far as,
like you know, games played and turnovers committed throughout his
career with the Giants. And you look up this year
and he has three turnovers versus I think thirteen touchdown
passes and a couple of rushing touchdowns as well. And
so if you tell me that you're going to be

(15:26):
at the end of the year at about twenty six
touchdowns and six interceptions, give or take, that's a great
season for a quarterback, especially one well especially here Indianapolis,
where you've been searching for a stable answer at that
position basically since Philip Rivers retired in twenty twenty.

Speaker 6 (15:44):
James, I know Shane Stikeen I gives kind of the
boring answer when asked what is the most impressive thing offensively?
He just says points, which he's as impressive.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
I must say that's the goal. He's not wrong.

Speaker 6 (15:56):
They are certainly scoring a ton of points. Is there
anything that you've come up cross nerdy stat wise? And
I know a lot of this, you know, can get
kind of fed to us. That has truly stood out
about the Colts offensively.

Speaker 5 (16:09):
Points per drive three point six to four, So they're
averaging more than a field goal a drive. And if
you go back and look at the last twenty five years,
if you were to take this and extrapolate it over
the entire season and they and they stay at this pace,
they would have the most potent offense per drive of

(16:31):
anybody in the last twenty five years. And think of
some of these offenses, this is better than the seven Patriots.
Now granted through the first eight games, the Patriots were
like a tick better I think to the first eight games.
But again, if the Colts hold this average over the
entire season, it's better than any offense we've seen. That
includes all the Payton Manning years in the early two
thousands or mid two thousands, That includes the Tom Brady

(16:54):
year with Randy Moss when they went undefeated in the
regular season and nearly went undefeated for the entire season.
That includes you know, some of those Philip Rivers offenses
with Antonio Gates and Dani and Thomlinson. So that to
me is probably the most alarming stat I've seen, because
he's just absurd to score at that rate. But then
you and then also keep in mind they don't have,

(17:15):
in my opinion, a superstar on offense outside of Jonathan Taylor.
It's just that they have a really good quarterback, a
superstar running back, and a bunch of like B plus
receivers who are balling out as well.

Speaker 6 (17:27):
Yeah, I think they have a future star at tight
end if he's not a star.

Speaker 5 (17:32):
Uh, good, good point. Yeah, I honestly think that he's
first team off Yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
A couple ones and I would echo that as well.

Speaker 6 (17:38):
But the one that the Colts sent out on Sunday
about the red zone, they've scored a touchdown or field
goal in sixty eight straight red zone trips. That dates
back a full year now, so you go back to
last year, even with all of that offensive issues last season.
According to the Colts, that's the longest streak for an

(18:01):
NFL team, dating back at least to nineteen ninety three,
So I mean it could go back further. It's just
I guess how the whatever the stat database goes back to.
And then the one that's a little bit more easier
for everybody to understand, including myself. They've scored at least
twenty in every game, and that I think the weekly
consistency is probably what really stands out. In the one

(18:25):
game they scored twenty was the Rams, and you had
a dude drop a ball in the goal line, So
you know that, you know, the whole leading the league
is scoring. That can get a little skewy at the
end of the season. You know, did your did Riley
Leonard get in the game and lead a touchdown driver too?

Speaker 4 (18:42):
You know? Does that get you know, do you score
fifty two in a game? You know?

Speaker 6 (18:45):
Are you a pick six in excuse me, they're a
little voice crack, I'm so excited for Halloween, a little
pick six a camp ward late in a game? You know,
does that help you? Kind of skew the points? He
scored at least twenty in every game. Only team in
the league to do that. To add some context around it,
that also stands out.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
Here are your point outputs so far for the Colts
thirty three, twenty nine, forty one, twenty seven to twenty.
They lost, then when they only scored twenty there forty
thirty one, thirty eight, thirty eight.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
That's wild.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
In the NFL. That's wild consistency in the NFL. Now
the road rises, the grade gets a little steeper here
in the second half of the season. Is we pointed out,
you know, it's always going to be a tough I
don't care what anybody says. You expect a tough road
game in Pittsburgh. It's just that's kind of how it is, right,
we expect that it'll be a tough game just because
it's a road game.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
I don't know, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (19:37):
Pittsburgh has lost their defense, stinks. Pittsburgh is lost at
home by double digits twice this season.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
Then then of course they're going to Germany, and you're
now worried about getting to Germany? Is that what I
heard this morning?

Speaker 7 (19:47):
James?

Speaker 4 (19:48):
No, I'll never worried about gaming anywhere.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
Booked up sounds good.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
No, I was saying as far as the true people
were asking me, like when I'm getting over there, But yeah,
never worried. I mean, hey, the player will get there
when it gets there. I mean, I'm not one of
those ones who really get mad at delays or whatever.
It's like, don't put me in the air. If there's
unsafe possibilities up there.

Speaker 3 (20:07):
Just don't leave me on the tarmac for six hours.
That's all I want.

Speaker 4 (20:09):
Hey leave me there if it means stand alive. I'll
be honest.

Speaker 6 (20:13):
That weather in Colts practice yesterday I had me thinking
I was in Germany.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
Yeah, I guess it's an outdoor stadium and they told
us it's an outdoor press box as well, similar to
last time. So last year I remember having to have
the gloves and the hat on because it might have
been about fifty degrees and maybe a little bit lower
as the game went on. But I mean overall, it's
a good environment. So I'm looking forward to that experience.
Talking to Bernie actually yesterday about that left tackle Bernard Ryman,

(20:38):
and he was telling me, who'll have a lot of
family there as well, and he was encouraging me to
go out and see Berlin because he said it's a
more touristy city I guess than Frankfurt. I'll take his
word for it. I told him, Hey, you're talking to
a guy who's only been across the pond once in
my life. But it was good to catch up with
him yesterday.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (20:52):
Obviously historic stadium in Berlin there, but yeah, first game there.

Speaker 4 (20:57):
And overseas are always weird.

Speaker 5 (20:59):
So I don't want to just credit this Falcons match
up and tell all the Falcons they've been up and
down this year it's an easy win.

Speaker 8 (21:04):
No.

Speaker 5 (21:04):
I feel like every time you go overseas, the game
is either a'll blowout or it's like very very close.
I think it's weird and it's ugly. Yeah, I don't
try that to be hot. I was to take the
under them pretty much, and.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
The Colts will play.

Speaker 6 (21:16):
You know, I was sitting there or staying there at
practice yesterday and again it was I mean, we all
experienced it. It was what forty eight degrees in spitting
rain yesterday in Indy. The Colts will play five of
their next six games outdoors, which is kind of unique
based off the schedule they've had so far. So again, obviously,
a trip to Pittsburgh, trip to Germany, you come back,
you're at Kansas City, you got a home game with Houston,

(21:37):
and then at Jacksonville and at Seattle yesterday looked like
Seattle whether too.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Probably that was wild when they said on the last
game that, oh, the Coults will be back at Lucas
Hool Stadium in November thirtieth.

Speaker 6 (21:46):
I'm what, yeah, right, and then after that mark they
aren't at home again until December twenty six.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
Crazy.

Speaker 6 (21:53):
Yeah, this is you know, if there's one big change
for the Colts upcoming, it is where they will play
these games. You will be playing many more of them upcoming,
either out like outdoors and road environments. I get Berlin
is not you know, it's actually the cult home game,
but that is what is upcoming. Here is tonight elimination
game for one of these two teams? Can we right off?

Speaker 7 (22:15):
Like hell?

Speaker 6 (22:16):
Probably a lot of people have already written off the
Miami Dolphins. Is tonight elimination game for the Ravens.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
I think you've only got two wins so far, and
we're getting we're getting to the point where what wins
they go to seven?

Speaker 4 (22:28):
That's a great question.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (22:30):
The AFC North might be a nine win division.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Yeah, I think. I think the Steelers are taking a
step back a bit. And I think, I mean, the
Ravens are still the betting favorite to win the division.
It only two wins and they still again if they lose,
that's going to be crazy. Well, the Ravens are still
the betting favorite to win the AFC North. I'm trying
to check to see what the odds are since this morning,
but yeah, they were as of yesterday, they were still

(22:53):
the betting favorite to win the division. It's just two
wins well, which is insane, but that shows you the
state of the division because the Browns stink. The Bengals
don't have Joe Burrows, so that's not looking very good.
And you know, the Steelers seem to be taking a
step back. The Ravens are minus one twenty five to
win the AFC North.

Speaker 4 (23:12):
They're two and five, right, No, that's absurd.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
I would say if the Dolphinins lose, that's pretty much
it because obviously the Patriots are having quite the resurgence.
The Bills are the Bills, and I'm the Jets stink,
but I don't think. I don't think three teams from
the AFC East are getting in there. But if the
Ravens lose, I don't discount that the Ravens are still
gonna win the division.

Speaker 6 (23:33):
Now again, nine thirty Today, we usually have Jason hammer
Mark if you want to pull up a little bit
of that info. Usually we have him getting a set
for Thursday Night Football. Nine thirty Eric name who covers
the bucks for the Athletic and join us talk Miles
Turner and making his return here to Indiana coming up
on Monday. Jason Hammer on vacation mark. But he did

(23:54):
send in his play, Oh he.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
Did, Yes, he sent them to me yesterday from the
Sunshine State.

Speaker 4 (23:58):
Maybe a tease of.

Speaker 6 (24:00):
Two of them for our seven o'clock audience for tonight.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
Sure, do you want the main bet that he sent me?
Or do you want some of the prop bets? He said, Sure,
let's go. The main bet, he said, was over fifty
and a half in the game. Oh, we're cheering for points,
Dolphins cheering for points.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
Boy, fifty is a big old number.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
That's a huge number for a Thursday night too, he said.
Lamar should be back, and both defenses stinked. The Ravens
are thirtieth and the scoring in scoring defense and Dolphins
twenty ninth against the run Lamar back. That will be
what we are banking on, hopefully getting it close to
the offensive effort we got from Miami last week. Fun
fact the last two years and the Ravens are road
favorites and the over under is forty seven and a

(24:37):
half or more they are cashing seven and oh they're
undefeated when the over under is forty seven and a
half are higher.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
The only pushback I'd have on that is, if Miami
is so bad against the run, maybe this is the
week the Ravens really try to get Derek Henry going
again and take a little pressure off off Jackson's returning
from a hamstring.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
That could be too, but you also hopefully get some
big time rush is from Derreck Henry and some end
zone trips, so that would also boost the numbers.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
I feel like we needed Derrick Henry highlight where he
just pummels somebody three feet into the ground on the
way to the end zone.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
One of those stiff arms that just sends that guy
flying like he did a few years ago.

Speaker 6 (25:12):
Yes, so we have a drop set for Halloween tomorrow,
the twelve year old just stiff arman, the seven year
olds as they're moving house to house.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
We have a couple of prop bets we can get
into later as well, some Colts bets as well, so
we can dive into more. Jason Hammer plays as the
show rolls along by the way, speaking running backs. Jamiir
Gibbs Halloween costume huge fan, Big Big, Jeff Hardy, Jeff Hardy, the.

Speaker 4 (25:35):
Super bar back. That was fantastic, all right, coming up
at a moment more from the cults and practice. I think
Mark enjoyed. Maybe the significant other.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
Kaya was a very good leading Mark tried to escape.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
He brought us right back inbs really looked good. Thanks Mark.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
I did watch that. I was like this video six
hours long. Yeah, when you look at it over and
over and over again, it is all right. More in
a moment here as we continue in ninety three five
one oh seven five of the fan com back for
your childhood here?

Speaker 3 (26:06):
All right, Mark, what's.

Speaker 6 (26:08):
Going on here?

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Malcolm in the Middle also a great show. They're rebooting that.
I'm excited to watch that. But yes, that was a
great show, especially a show about just a family full
of brothers. My brothers and I love that show. It's
very good.

Speaker 7 (26:21):
All right.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
We have been kind of going through memory lane a
lot of TV theme shows throughout the day because Mark
felt like at the last couple of days we got
a good feedback, so we thought we'd keep it going today.
In the meantime, it's time to talk about the NBA,
specifically the Indiana Pacers. They lose one o seven, one
oh five to Dallas last night, had a chance to
win it at the very end there, and it was
a weird game. And you're looking at it and there's

(26:42):
a lot of G League type guys out there, and
Anthony Davis goes down, there's no Kyrie irving for Dallas,
and it was kind of a strange game all night long,
but an interesting one. And to tell us a little
bit more about that and what lies ahead for the Pacers,
we are joined by Scott Agnes Fieldhouse Files on the
Payless Liquors Hotline this morning. Good morning, Scott, how would
you describe that game last night?

Speaker 8 (27:04):
I think the whole thing was weird and which is
made for a weird start to this season. But the
biggest thing overall, beyond the shortage of players, is certainly
the poor shooting on all three levels from the field,
from three and at the free throw line ultimately doom
them even though they had that chance.

Speaker 5 (27:24):
So Scott, besides, you know, perhaps looking at flights to
get out there Dallas because he needed to back up
for you know, point guard position.

Speaker 4 (27:31):
I would have loved to see you out there.

Speaker 7 (27:33):
You didn't get the call.

Speaker 5 (27:34):
I didn't get the call either, you know, I gotta
I gotta text some people and tell them, hey, I
got my Halliburns.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
I'm ready.

Speaker 5 (27:39):
But on a more serious note, what did you think
of the way the starters have produced in that game
in particular? And I say that because I feel like,
through the first four games of the year, we're starting
to see the effect of not having Halliburton out there
because of not the shots that they're getting, like the

(27:59):
number of, but the shot quality.

Speaker 8 (28:01):
If that makes sense, it does right now, James, everyone's
having to over exert themselves and play beyond their means.
And I thought, to your point about the guards, I
thought it was interesting they did not have been Shepherd
finish the game last night, instead going with a couple
of their two way guards to play the final four
or five minutes down there. It just seems like everybody's

(28:22):
a little bit burned out, a little bit playing a
beyond their means, and so what they do great is
a little bit of a struggle right now because of
everything else. I mean, we think about Shepherd's defense and
three point shooting, and he and Aaron Neithmith, they just
don't look comfortable or confident in their shot out there,

(28:42):
and so one takeaway in the short term from that
game just last night in particular, was just how much
more comfortable I thought the reserve guards as a whole
played more free, a little bit more healthy when you
add mac McClung in there. But that's one of the
many things they've got to shore up here in the

(29:02):
short term, just because there was such a drop off.
And then I even go to and we knew this
was happening all along, but that center spot still is
just such a big question mark.

Speaker 7 (29:14):
You don't finish with the center.

Speaker 8 (29:15):
Isaiah Jackson continues to deal with foul trouble to the
point where you can't even evaluate too much what he's
doing on the court because he's not out there very
long due to foul trouble. So so much for this
team to address here.

Speaker 6 (29:29):
Scott Mercifully, I think the storyline is about to come
to a close or at least quiet down big time.
But obviously the Miles Turner, the storyline's been a big
one over the last X amount of months, and he
will make us return here coming up Monday night. He
struggled a lot really shooting the basketball here early with
the Bucks. I wanted to share this with you. I
just literally came across it during the break. I guess

(29:49):
Miles appeared on thanis Is podcast and naas fanasas if
I'm reading this correctly, here Jannis's little brother. Here a
direct quote here from Miles. I'll just read it and
let you react to it. He's explaining his contract situation,
basically saying, the Pacers change their mind. He goes Pascal's
on the contract here, McConnell in the contract here, Nie Smith.

(30:11):
I could go down the list, but you go through that.
We had a great run. Everybody got taken care of,
everybody got paid because he won. Then the next year
we surpassed what we did. We went to the finals,
and all everybody told me was, Miles, just keep your
head down, keep your head down to work. You're going
to get taken care of. Then the unfortunate situation happens
in the finals with Tyrese, and I guess the front
office and ownership just changed their mind. It was like, yeah,

(30:31):
we told you all those things, and yeah you helped
us get to the Eastern Conference finals and the finals,
but we had to pivot. That was basically the sentiment,
and we were just very far apart on what we
thought the future should be. End quote. Thoughts on Miles
Turner and his explanation, I guess of the Pacers having
a change of heart seemingly post Tyrese Haliburn injury.

Speaker 8 (30:53):
Yeah, I think that probably most referenced how high they
were willing to go, how much they were willing to
stretch themselves, how much if all, they had to go
into these luxury tax in order to reassign him. And
the reality is nobody saw this coming KB because no
true team had salary cap space. So from a business standpoint,

(31:15):
at least initially, you kind of understand what the Pacers
are doing, because why jack up the price when you're
the only one buying the goods Right now, now, with
that said, you would have liked to see, I think
to try to try you would have liked to see
maybe more.

Speaker 9 (31:32):
Of a realistic price out there.

Speaker 8 (31:34):
I've been told all along that they were never willing
to go above sixty six million over three years, and
so he ultimately got one hundred and nine. That is
just such a significant difference there. Now, from the Pacers standpoint,
they believe they kind of just got off to a
starting point with that salary offer, and then we're never

(31:57):
even able.

Speaker 7 (31:58):
To get the chance to make a second offer.

Speaker 8 (32:00):
That Miles was so frustrated, so disrespected by that offer.
That's when things completely changed on the side of all
of that, which which makes sense. But I do understand
Miles a standpoint here because that was the same exact
scenario to an extent that played out for Buddy heel is.
Everybody got paid around him, and He's sitting there going, hey,
what about me. I'm a regular starter, I don't miss

(32:22):
any games whatsoever?

Speaker 7 (32:24):
What about me? And he never got paid.

Speaker 8 (32:26):
So ultimately he said, Okay, I want to be traded
so I can have a better opportunity to start or
play and then get paid when what could be one
of his later contracts. So I understand that feeling as well.

Speaker 6 (32:37):
Bearre with my hypothetical here for a second. Scott agnesfield
House files with us Payless Slickers hotline. If Tyrese doesn't
tears Achilles, is Miles still a pacer?

Speaker 7 (32:48):
Gotta believe so, I think, because I would assume.

Speaker 6 (32:50):
Milwaukee still offers what they offer, right, I mean, Milwaukee
wanted to do their thing.

Speaker 8 (32:56):
Well, the question is, doesn't even get to that point, right,
do you even mess around with Miles too much and
you know, meaning in a negative light and just raise
the price a little bit.

Speaker 7 (33:07):
I mean to the whole conversation here. It certainly didn't.

Speaker 8 (33:10):
Probably help Miles has caused that finals performance, right, it's
to see what happened there. But yeah, if Haliburton was healthy,
you're one hundred percent bringing him back, and he's gonna
want to bring back because if you take him at
his word, he wants to be on a championship contending
roster that has a chance to compete, and this team
absolutely would have done that.

Speaker 1 (33:32):
Just curious, Scott, going back to last night real quick,
what was your overall impression and breakdown at Jaris Walker.

Speaker 8 (33:40):
Yeah, the main number one thing Jeff was that three
point shot. And I think he really benefited that first
year from playing in the G League because that's where
I saw his shot. His confidence and stepping into it,
shooting it confidently really grew and I thought that was
the positive that was really on display.

Speaker 7 (33:59):
The challenge was just in some of his decision making.

Speaker 8 (34:02):
It felt like he really started off strong and then
kind of petered out the rest of the game, went
to the went to the basket many times and didn't
finish strong or was kind of questioning out in what
manner he was going to finish uh, which was a
little bit concerning. But I think we're seeing he's one
of the players. We're starting to see some positives I
think from and now with him in the starting lineup

(34:25):
and ample opportunity given Obi Toppins concerning injury.

Speaker 7 (34:28):
Right now, he's got to take advantage.

Speaker 5 (34:31):
One more Scott, and we'll let you go. I believe
the next time we talked to you it will be
after Miles Turner makes his return to Indiana. What type
of reception do you expect and do we where should
we How should we remember Miles Turner? If that makes sense?

Speaker 8 (34:49):
Yeah, I think the first of all, a guy that
has that has been there through and through, that was
the biggest jokester, prankster UH that embraced the rookie duties.

Speaker 7 (34:59):
And then happily was the one that was handing them out.

Speaker 8 (35:03):
I think he was a guy that was the backbone
of the defense so many times, especially and kind of
like the twenty twenty twenty twenty one when the defense
was atrocious and they purposely filtered defenders to him at
the rim, but also a wildly complicated guy, a guy
that was fiercely loyal. The most complicated thing to me

(35:24):
and all this was he was seemingly fiercely loyal to
his teammates and this team and everything, and then how
easily this decision to move on was. Now, if it's
purely from a money standpoint, I think we can all
understand when he got basically double what the.

Speaker 7 (35:41):
Pacers offer James.

Speaker 8 (35:42):
But on the other side of that, there were so
many good years. I think back to him hosting Turner's
Block and really embracing the community as a guy, as
an eighteen year old, lengthy kid that people were questioning
his running style and had they had to commission a study.
So for him, I think he's going to hear all
the booze in the world because I think fans and
the team felt like, despite last year's run, he took

(36:06):
the took a road out and didn't want to come back,
and that badly hurt them to the point that James,
we're still waiting on the first teammate to wish.

Speaker 7 (36:14):
Him well publicly.

Speaker 8 (36:16):
So it's a it's a complicated return, but I'm thinking
it'll it'll mostly be boozed because fans were blindsided by
this decision.

Speaker 5 (36:24):
Do you think when they boo him, he'll just think
about the money, because I would.

Speaker 7 (36:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (36:34):
I think given the length of time, given the fact
that he was just a kid, basically a teenager, it
was it's you know, he's spent half his life Indiana.
He chose to live downtown, so it's not like he
was on the suburbs either. I think it's a much
more emotional, and understandably so because of the ten years here.

Speaker 3 (36:54):
Always going to talk to you, Scott.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
Have a great Thursday, big couple of games coming up.
We got a Commission Cup game against Atlanta tomorrow, and.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
Then you have what we doing I know, right, and then.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
You've got Steph Curry on Saturday night and then the
return of Myles Turner on Monday.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
You're gonna be busy over there at the field House.

Speaker 7 (37:13):
Yep. Absolutely, I wouldn't want it any other way.

Speaker 1 (37:17):
Step by step only, but a goodie right there.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
Mark Dacton, Man, oh man, what a show that was?

Speaker 3 (37:22):
Such time did you spend rounding all these up?

Speaker 2 (37:24):
I just remember that show. Big fan of the sisters
in that show. Suzanne Summers got it done as well.
So it's a good looking family here.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
Oh man, what was your favorite TV show of all
growing up?

Speaker 3 (37:39):
Kevin?

Speaker 6 (37:39):
Oh boy, I watched a lot of Nickelodeon. I mean
we've gone over several of them today. I mean I
watched a lot of Hey Arnold, a lot of Rocket Power,
Stoop Kids trying to get up to stup Kid A great,
great one there, Mark what I say, saved by the
Bell earlier. I feel like I watched a lot of
Family Matters. Yeah, Marcus covered it beautifully these last two days.

Speaker 1 (38:01):
I'm just curious, James, was streaming stuff or online stuff
more popular when you were, like in high school, middle
school than just regular TV shows?

Speaker 3 (38:10):
What was your recollection there? When did it change?

Speaker 5 (38:13):
I want to say it was probably when I was
in college, when streaming kind of became a big thing
in my own life. I'm gonna get my first Netflix subscription.
Maybe when I was a freshman of sophomore and for
the most part throughout high school and middle school, you
watch whatever on TV, whatever time it came on. If
you missed it, that is what it is. And I
think I want to say, like DVRs and all that

(38:34):
were kind of TVO yeah, yeah, on the move or whatever,
so you could record things, but nah, you couldn't just
pull up and watch whatever. And honestly, I kind of
miss some of that stuff because I remember watching every
single Bulls game growing up because it was on local television,
whereas now I think Chicago's similar to how it is
with the Pacers, where they have like the streaming subscription,
so you have to pay to watch the Bulls. And

(38:56):
I still I love my guys with Red Fandel Sports
and what they do, but just the over we're all
circus that you have to go through sometimes to watch
your local team still bugs me.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
It does bother me too with all that, because like
you have to have like your own the own app
for the service, so it's like you can't even watch
like regular TV.

Speaker 4 (39:12):
And I was doing with that last night.

Speaker 2 (39:13):
It's almost like you're kind of like, I don't really
want to do that, so then it's like it kind
of defeats the purpose because I don't want to have
to go to a separate app when I want to
watch something.

Speaker 5 (39:21):
Here, I'm miss being able to hit like the last button, yeah,
the TV and going from channel to channel back and forth.

Speaker 4 (39:26):
I couldn't do that last night.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
I've got to go back home.

Speaker 5 (39:28):
Yes, a series on my phone and then like the
Pacers the game on my TV.

Speaker 1 (39:31):
So all right, let's check in on the Pacers and
specifically the Milwaukee Bucks. The Return of One Miles Turner
will come on Monday night over at the field House
and we check in with our intrepid athletic reporter, reporter
who covers the Milwaukee Bucks, and that would be Eric
name who joined us on the the Payless Liokers hotline
right now and Eric h. You know, we we heard

(39:52):
some podcast stuff from Miles turn in the last day
or two and it sounds like at the end of
the day it wasn't just about the money, although it
was a much better offer I was like from the Bucks,
but at the last minute, maybe the Pacers kind of
changed direction on Miles Turner.

Speaker 3 (40:05):
What are you picking up on that right now?

Speaker 9 (40:08):
Yeah, I mean talking to Miles at the you know
that training camp in Miami.

Speaker 7 (40:13):
The Bucks took a.

Speaker 9 (40:14):
Trip down there. Yeah. To me, it really has felt
like throughout all of this that when Miles left to
go on vacation to go to Hawaii, I think he
thought he was going to be a pacer. Like I
thought talking to him that he thought at some point
his agent was going to call him and say, hey,

(40:35):
here's the deal. We're going back to Indiana, and Miles
was gonna be pretty happy with it. And it just
seems like that that offer from the Pacers never came,
or the offer that he was hoping to get from
the Pacers never came, and the Bucks obviously swooped in
and had a larger offer. To me, that still feels
like most of it. Maybe, you know, you try to

(40:58):
figure out how many answers the paints were given or
not given, But to me, it just felt like from
the start it wasn't the number that you know, Miles
was expecting, and I think that led to him thinking
about going somewhere else.

Speaker 6 (41:14):
Eric named does excellent work on the Milwaukee Bucks feat
for the Athletic Keys with us here on the Payloff
Stickers hotline. Eric, just to put numbers behind that, I
want to give our audience a little bit of I
guess numerical value best, you know, three years for sixty
six million was the Pacers offer, and then what was it?
Four for one oh seven is what he ended up

(41:34):
getting from Milwaukee.

Speaker 9 (41:36):
Yeah, he gets four ends up being one oh eight
point nine in Milwaukee, But yeah, three sixty six is
the best I've heard from the painters side of things.

Speaker 6 (41:47):
How would you again, it's October thirtieth, We've played what
three four games of basketball this season, but the raw
numbers would say some rough shooting for Miles early on.
How would you describe the experience for him individually?

Speaker 9 (41:59):
Early? I think overall the team would like him to
shoot more. And I know that's a strange thing for
me to say when you know he's shooting thirty one
percent from the field, he's shooting twenty two point seven
percent from three. But you kind of look at all
these games and the thing everyone kind of remarks on is,

(42:24):
you know, they just need him to be looking for
a shot and to be aggressive and to shoot the
shots that are there when they're open. I think you
go back to you know two or yeah, Tuesday's game
against the Knicks, there's there's two in particular. I was
shocked that he didn't shoot. They both ended up being

(42:46):
assists to better shooters, and like, it's nice that that's
a play, But you know, I had asked Doc specifically
about it, and there's one of the third quarter Miles
of the wide open corner three. He passes it up
to throw a pass back behind his back to the
corner that he just vacated to Ryan Rollins, who's to
Ryan Rolinds credited, you know, like a forty four percent

(43:08):
three point shooter, and he knocked it down and he
had it going and and it was good that Miles
is feeding them. And you know, my my talk to
Doc about after the game, Doctor was like I wanted
to kill him, like we need him to shoot. But
it talks kind of to how selfless Miles can be
at times where he knew Ryan Rollins had it going,
so he made an extra pass and he made an

(43:30):
extra play. Once it went in, I was happy, But
at the time I wanted to kill him because you know,
he's got to take these shots, like that's that's got
to be something that we get from him. And I
think when you you kind of talked to Miles, I
think he's still trying to figure out, uh, you know,
how to insert himself into the game plan, uh, and

(43:50):
how to find his shots. What are his shots? When
does he need to take those shots? I think he's
struggling a little bit with that, but uh, you know
what he does instead of taking those shots is make
an extra pass or try to get someone else open.
So it's not a thing where players are up set

(44:10):
with him because of what he ends up doing, because it's,
you know, trying to help the team. But I do
think overall they're like, dude, you got to shoot, Like
we're gonna need you to shoot, And that's kind of
been an interesting thing to watch through four games.

Speaker 8 (44:24):
Eric.

Speaker 5 (44:24):
I'm sure that flight is probably already if it's a
flight or a drive or whatever, it's probably already booked
from Monday. So I'll see you over a gamer field
house when Miles returns. But as far as what the
Bucks did to acquire Miles, do you think that weighs
on him at all? Knowing that they did something I
was kind of impressed in it, and waiving a future

(44:44):
Hall of Famer and stretching his remaining millions and millions
of dollars to acquire you, and also knowing you're joining
a future Hall of Famer whose future is in the
balance of whatever you all do this season.

Speaker 9 (45:00):
Yeah, that's interesting. I don't get the sense that he
thinks about Damian Lillard at all, or the move that
was made to make it possible to acquire him. I
don't think he thinks about that part at all. I
think that's something that John Horse has to think about
every day and sleep with at night, that you know,
there's twenty two and a half million down the books

(45:21):
and dead money for the next five years. I think
that's more of a administrative thing. I think what weighs
on Miles is literally just the fact that he spent
ten years in Indiana. Like, you know, when I had
done my you know it one on one interview with
him that we put out on you know, during the

(45:42):
season opener, I did think it was noteworthy that I
didn't bring up going back to Indiana. I didn't bring
up the date. I didn't bring up any of that,
and Miles, off the top of his I was able
to rattle off November third, and it was like, oh, okay,
I I'm a little worried about I don't know, like

(46:05):
the homecoming aspect of it, Like, I don't know, I
don't know how people in Indiana will react. I do
think there's you know, as more details have come out
about it, I think maybe there could be some pacers
fans that don't love how much he was offered, and
maybe it wasn't enough. But I also know that every
night there are Pacers fans in my mentions on Twitter

(46:29):
screenshotting his box score and sending it around and showing
how little Miles Turner does.

Speaker 7 (46:35):
So that's and those could just see bad apples, right.

Speaker 9 (46:37):
Like, I'm not here to say what the reaction will
be on Monday, but I do know that that was
a place he loved, right like he was there for
a decade. That's when he learned. I mean essentially, like
you from college, you go to a new place and
you learn how to you know, become a man, you

(46:58):
build a family, like you do all of those things.
So there's a lot of love there and I am
very very very very very curious to see what the
reaction will be on Monday.

Speaker 5 (47:11):
Well, Eric is someone who can see the future. I
can guarantee you this. They will boo that man.

Speaker 6 (47:16):
Yeah, I was gonna say, Eric, I would expect a
large amount of boots based off and just a again,
I'm relaying info from our listeners. I think the phrase
of go where you're celebrated, I think that really rubbed
the Pacers fans the wrong way. And I'm not asking
you to sit here and whatever defend Miles or anything
like that. I'm just relaying what I think the atmosphere

(47:36):
will be like in there on Monday.

Speaker 9 (47:38):
Yeah, I mean, I don't even think I need to
defend it. They get he was clearly talking about the organization.
They gotta. I understand that when you say go where
you're celebrated, you're going to be thinking about like the fans.
But I think Miles was pretty clearly talking about an
organization that didn't pay him. Is he thought he should

(47:59):
be paid? But yeah, that's unfortunate. I think, like you know,
obviously I've I've gone through many homecomings over the years,
and uh, I'm I'm sad to hear that that will
be the expected outcome.

Speaker 7 (48:14):
Eric.

Speaker 5 (48:15):
I mean, what you just explained right, there is nuance
when you're paying for the tickets and all that.

Speaker 9 (48:22):
Man, very sure, for sure, I agree, I agree. It
just it makes me sad because I do. I do
really think it's it's kind of I think one of
the things that is so kind of incredible to me
about Miles over the years is that obviously I wasn't
in Indiana, right I only hear from you know, league

(48:43):
source about what's going on in Indiana, and man, every
trade deadlineer was like, Oh, they're about to trade them,
They're about to trade them, They're about to trade them.
And then man, like at that moment when they're going
to the finals and Miles is on the mic, like
that was so cool, Like that was so cool that

(49:03):
he got to like have that moment after ten years
of trade rumors and you're thinking, like, all right, this
is great. The franchise is in a place that hasn't
been before, or it hasn't been in a while, Like
this is so cool. He's getting to like he will
solidify himself in the Indiana and then it doesn't happen,
and now this man's getting booed. It's gonna be that's crazy,

(49:27):
but I understand it. Like that. That is how how
fan base is and fans operate.

Speaker 1 (49:33):
It's okay, Eric is always thanks for stopping by. We
appreciate your time, and maybe we'll all catch up on Monday.

Speaker 3 (49:38):
We'll see.

Speaker 9 (49:39):
I can't wait, So don't get
