Speaker 1 (00:02):
They seized a fan morning show with KB jab and
Jeff Jones goes out of the gun.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
He's going to take to the air on first down,
plants in the pocket looking left, lines it down the
near side.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
God he rather war to catch inside the red zone
and tried.

Speaker 4 (00:15):
To show up every day and improve, grow in my
understanding of the offense, and make good decisions consistently. I
think that's been something I've always tried to do.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
The Packers are bringing the blitz.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Richardson in trouble, gets out of the initial way of
going to take off.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
There's a flag on the play.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Richardson scrambled, will conclude around the fifteen yard line. It's
going to be defensive holding though on the Packers, and
the scramble for Anthony Richardson might be enough to produce
a first down.

Speaker 5 (00:42):
I feel like I've been doing a decent job, you know,
and improving. But at the end of the day, I
just want to keep improving and if I do want
a job and no, thank God, If not, I need
to keep working.

Speaker 6 (00:51):
I've seen obviously three weeks of it, so I'd like
to have a decision here shortly.

Speaker 7 (00:56):
Feel pretty clean when.

Speaker 6 (00:57):
I make that decision, and again, when I make this decision,
I'm gonna do what I feel is best for this
football team.

Speaker 8 (01:02):
Kelsey two of the shock clock, rising fire.

Speaker 7 (01:05):
You got it other.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Kelsey Mitchell is Colt.

Speaker 8 (01:13):
Kelsey passes right wing Odyssey five of the shacklock to
Breezy shot, fake braezy quarterkick, LEXI tease.

Speaker 7 (01:20):
It out free ball.

Speaker 8 (01:24):
Final score in overtime Feaver ninety nine, Son ninety three,
and Indiana completes the greatest comeback and franchise history.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Good morning every one. As we were saying during the
playing of that little INChO there, that Fever game was
insane yesterday with all the things that were going on.
We'll talk about that. We'll talk about the Colts game
on Saturday and how things are going. You heard Shane
Steiken talking about very close, very close men to making
a decision at quarterback. Good morning, James Boyd, Good morning,
Kevin Bowen, Good morning, Mark Tikon. We are off and

(02:01):
running on a Monday. Kevin, we will start with you.
I read your five things learned this past weekend, but
have we really learned who the starting quarterback is? And
it doesn't seem like either guy just wants to grab
it by the throat as we've been talking about now.

Speaker 7 (02:14):
But clearly Shane Stiken talks like a guy that's ready
to make a decision. So I don't know if I
had a guess. Is he telling them today and then
maybe tomorrow at eleven am when he meets some media,
that's when he announces it. We'll see regular season type
of schedule for the Colts this week. They'll practice tomorrow, Wednesday, Thursday,
head to Cincinnati on Friday, and yeah, I'll continue see

(02:38):
what I've said for the last couple of weeks. I
think Shane Stikeen is much more in the Daniel Jones
camp than most probably want to admit that he is
in that sort of camp.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
So it seems to me, James Boyd, that we're right
back where we started when we went into the weekend.
Here there's a bigger ceiling we all think for Anthony Richardson,
can he ever get there? That seems to be the question.
We feel like we know what the ceiling is for Daniels,
but he brings a much higher floor. Would you say
that's about the right assessment, And that's where Shane Styken
has to decide where he wants to go right out

(03:07):
of the gate.

Speaker 9 (03:08):
Yeah, certainly, that's what it comes down to. And I'm
just curious. You were at the game, Saturris, so what
did you think of how they performed?

Speaker 3 (03:14):
It's just say what I just said. I saw that
amazing scramble shaking off a sack and a throw to
Anthony Gould, and you're like, that's what Anthony Richardson can be, right,
And here's some other plays where you're just like, man,
can you hit your running back in the flat for
an easy seven yard pickup? That seems to be a problem.
Daniel Jones comes in, he makes a couple of you know,
I wouldn't say mistakes more than just not great plays

(03:37):
that He makes a nice throat to Tyler Warren like,
what do you I don't know what you're looking for.
If you want safe, easy and a guy that might
be able to move the sticks six yards at a time,
maybe Daniel Jones is your guy. If you want somebody
that's got the capability of making three or four splash
plays a game, but we'll probably make two Dunderhead plays
a game, than Anthony Richardson is your guy.

Speaker 7 (03:58):
Right, Dunderhead, But.

Speaker 9 (04:03):
I think it's probably like the argument in the nutshell.
But to Anthony's credit, I thought his first drive Saturday
was more of what you would want from him, which
is the dunk and dunks, which was a simple throws.
I think it was five or six on that drive,
and you're thinking, after that drive, Okay, this is what
we've expected. And I think when I tweeted this, people

(04:24):
kind of took it and ran with it. And you know,
I should definitely know that there's never any nuance on
social media, which is my fault. But I tweeted that
Ar was boring, and I mean that as a compliment
that he was boring, that he didn't really have the
wild plays. Now, yes, he had that great throw to
Anthony Gould which was called back because Adie Mitchell was
off sides.

Speaker 7 (04:45):
He's another side story. He has not looked good in games.

Speaker 9 (04:48):
I think he's kind of become his reputation through his
first two years so far, and second year hasn't really started.
But eighty has his reputation so far of being a
guy who shows up in camp and in game days
and he's just overwhelmed. But none of that here nor there.
Going back to AR, I thought that he was boring Kevin,
which was what they wanted from him. And then for Daniel, yes,

(05:10):
he had a couple of moments here or there, but again,
nobody really seizing the moment. It's I look at it like,
what's the lesser of two evils, honestly, or who who's
somebody who can game manage you enough in your eyes
to win.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
I guess that's where we're at, and we'll see if
Shane Styken wants to make a decision, because he almost
sounds can you play that clip again? Do you have
that clip that you played where he's talking about I'm
close and he's you know, all this time in camp.
He sounds maybe like he's over it too, is what
it sounds.

Speaker 6 (05:41):
I've seen obviously three weeks of it. So I'd like
to have a decision here shortly.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
You have any more clarity on your decision now than
you did twenty four hours ago.

Speaker 6 (05:53):
Yeah, I feel I feel pretty clean when I make
that decision. And again, when I make this decision, I'm
gonna do what I feel is you know, best.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
For this football thoughts. Just the way he said that, you.

Speaker 7 (06:02):
Know, you can make a lot of the words. I thought,
Daniel Jones' comments postgame really struck me. James's question to him,
I know we'll play that clip upcoming as well. But
you know, if you want to look at the end
of that clip right there, you know, I want to
do what's best for the team. I think some people
would interpret that as you know, again, can we have
a quarterback that just keeps his head above water and

(06:25):
rely on what should be a great run game, rely
on all the offensive line right now. I think it's
been very underwhelming here in the month of August, and
rely on an improved defense. So I if you maybe
pick right now, I'd go with Richardson. But I don't
know if you literally like Kevin, you have to guess
what change Stacking's going to do. I think he might

(06:47):
pick Daniel Jones.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Well, it's going to be interesting to see how it
all shakes out. And James Boyd, like you said, we
were all three at the game this past week and
now we've got injury issues, especially say all two.

Speaker 7 (07:01):
Yeah, after caw Luck retired. I don't I don't do.

Speaker 9 (07:04):
I'm gonna say Kevin is like, did not see you there? Yeah,
Kevin pretty hard to miss. He's six three and yeah,
I don't think he was there.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
I don't blame you.

Speaker 7 (07:12):
I do lemonade stands, and I don't blame you. Watch
it from my couch. Kevin is such a big deal.
I don't show up for preseason. I don't show up
till the game's count. Zach Keith for the great piece
on Andrew left by the way on the athletic we're
trying to get sack on tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
So James getting back to what I was saying, though,
I mean, they got they got issues now with injuries
along that offensive line. All of a sudden, they're they're
having to move everybody up one spot, and how long
is that gonna last? And we know that one guy
is gonna be out for a significant amount of time,
if not for the entire season. But not only have
they underperformed to Kevin's point throughout camp, but now the

(07:46):
depth is a problem. Yeah.

Speaker 9 (07:48):
Certainly the most significant injury I thought from that game
was obviously Blake Friedland, who unfortunately broke his lower right
leg had a leg fracture according to Shane Stikeen, and
so I would imagine that is a very severe injury,
if not a season ending injury for Blake Freeland. Then

(08:08):
you know, the reason why he was even in there
so early on Saturday was because the starting right tackle,
Braden Smith pulled his growing So he's now sideline and
we don't have a timeline for his return. So Hunter
Waller also went out with a foot injury, Tyler Goodson
had an elbow injury. Jonathan Edwards in that cornerback room,
he left with a concussion. Look the woozy walk into

(08:29):
the sidelines. You know, I think I'm missing one.

Speaker 10 (08:31):
Oh.

Speaker 9 (08:31):
Jacob Phillips, the linebacker, a deep reserve, he misrested the
game with a biceps injury. So that adds to a
growing list of injuries for this team. And again we
go back to Kevin talking about how fortunate they were
to not have anybody on the pup list, and for
those listening, that means physically unable to perform lists to
start the off season program.

Speaker 7 (08:52):
And you look at now where.

Speaker 9 (08:54):
You know you have multiple guys who will probably be
out for the season due to some injuries they suffered,
one of them me and Blake Freeland. And also you
have to wonder, okay, with somebody's growing injuries, soft HITGEO injuries,
will they be availablehen the season starts.

Speaker 7 (09:05):
Yeah, I mean, roster cuts are a week from tomorrow,
so that is just one giant cut from ninety to
fifty three. As you sit here right now on this
Monday morning, Boy, I could probably throw down a dozen
names on the roster that I would have making the
team that are currently dealing with injuries. That is a

(09:26):
huge number. And boy, I'm trying to think in recent
history or even the years I've covered the Colts, I
can't recall that number being so large here with again,
roster cuts coming in eight days. So obviously the quarterback
decision and the competition and all of that is headline
number one. But the injury list notable names, and not

(09:48):
all of them by any means they are season inded injuries,
but specifically offensive line and corner they will have some
I think, very impactful roster decisions to make there with
injuries factoring into what they do a whole lot of
And yeah, I mean I felt really bad for several
guys on Saturday. Tyler Goodson and so had such a
great camp. You know, he goes out with the left

(10:08):
elbow injury and he might have been your backup running back.
So yeah, that definitely was the unfortunate news in what
has been a storyline here throughout the month of August.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Well, we're gonna be talking about it all day long,
and we'll get your feedback as well on the fan
text line at two through nine ten seventy. We look
forward to that a lot to talk about her. No,
I'm just I didn't feel like shaven this morning. How
about that.

Speaker 7 (10:30):
I'm not used every once in a while, I'm not
even used to that.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
I know, I just sometimes Grace's cheek, you know what
it is. I felt I spent a lot of time
in the sun yesterday, out in the yard doing stuff
with the kids that took everybody driving for a while
last night. I think I was just worn out this morning.

Speaker 7 (10:47):
Apology, sounds like the signals having some Monday struggles here,
so encourage you to dial up the app that would
be one of seven to five of the fan YouTube
stream as well a couple other avenues to try and
to is in here on this Monday morning. But apologies
for the old FM dial mark.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
You could go to ninety three point one and then
to go one click to the right. You could do that.

Speaker 7 (11:07):
You could do that. I can go to the bill
on the roof, and I can hang some aluminum foil
if that would help.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
What is the official for the AGD ninety three It's
WIBC HD two, So just go to ninety three point
one and then one click to the right. You should
be okay. We'll check out all of that coming up
in a minute here as we continue. It's the Fan
Morning Show on a Monday, preseason week number two in
the books. We'll talk about it next to ninety three
five and one oh seven five of the Fame. Good morning,

(11:32):
and welcome into the Fan Morning Show. If you're having
troubles at one oh seven five FM, please click over
to ninety three five FM, or try ninety three point
one WIBC HD two and just go one click to
the right there that'll get a clear signal for you.
But in the meantime, clear signal in the second half
in overtime for the Indiana Fever, who rallied from a
franchise record twenty one points down yesterday James Boyd in

(11:56):
a game that at least the last I don't know,
ten minutes of the game was really fun to watch.
If you're a Fever fan. They just kept going to
Kelsey Mitchell, who just got basket after basket after basket,
especially in overtime.

Speaker 7 (12:10):
Yeah, she was special.

Speaker 9 (12:10):
Sorry, off the game, I'm shooting very poorly from the field,
but ended eleven of twenty two. I believe she scored
thirty four points after halftime. That her thirty eight points
ties a franchise record for a regal season game, and
she tied herself from twenty nineteen. So selfishly, I was
hoping she got fouled on that last one of Otyssey simms,
because I want her to get forty. But nevertheless, the
win is most important. And what a resilient team, and

(12:33):
not only just Kelsey. Down the stretch, I thought that,
you know, Returner had a great pass kickout to Lexi
Hole for three in the corner.

Speaker 7 (12:40):
Huge shot there, and this team just continues to be resilient.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Resiliency is the word. Stephanie White was emotional about that afterwards.
We might hear some of that a little bit later
on there. Now nineteen and sixteen, after the ninety nine
ninety three overtime win, everybody playing well, the Natasha Howard
eighteen and nine, the Leah Boston fourteen and thirteen, and
Lexi Hole only had eight points on two of six
shooting from three point range, but man did she had
a big one in overtime.

Speaker 9 (13:04):
And she had some huge plays in overtime and now
and there in that fourth quarter, I thought that she again,
you know, I had a strip that got overturned, had
basically helped a twenty four second shocklock violation as well.
So she was doing what she normally does, which is
disrupt her opponent.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Kevin Bowen will turn out to the Indianapolis Colts. They
lose a preseason.

Speaker 7 (13:26):
Gale More helped with Sophie Coneham injury isn't as bad
as I look.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
I was gonna talk about that at seven thirty.

Speaker 7 (13:30):
Gah, Yes, honestly, it slipped my mind.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
Somebody somebody fell into her, the side of her, and
she was limping off the floor and being helped off.
Didn't you know she wasn't putting much pressure on that.
You hope that it's just some kind of a of
a mild sprain, but people are worried about that three
letter thing that acl will see what happens later on today.
But we certainly hope she's okay because they just keep

(13:53):
losing folks night after night after night seeming.

Speaker 7 (13:55):
Yeah, it's honestly a nightmare of a movie so far,
with how they've had their injury situation. And I think
part of why you saw Stephanie White as emotional as
she was, so it was a pretty cool locker room scene.
But yeah, nothing for the Fever until Friday. They got
Minnesota coming up twice here in a three day stretch.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
All right, we'll talk more about that later, but now
let's get to the Indianapolis coltson Kevin Bowen five things
learned Of the five things you learned in your column
at one O seven to five thefan dot Com, what's
the one most important thing that we learned from that?

Speaker 10 (14:23):
Well?

Speaker 7 (14:23):
I thought both quarterbacks had positive moments. Daniel Jones definitely
had a poor first drive, missing Tyler Warren on a
ball that he needs to hit. But then I thought
the second drive was much better from Jones and getting
a few more of those kind of second ish level throws.
And not only did Anthony Richardson lead a touchdown drive,
I thought he led it in the exact way that
you would want him to lead it, and that it

(14:44):
was more of a methodical moving the ball down the
field largely with his right arm, and you know, Richardson
obviously has a propensity to make big plays, but that
was just ten yard throw, fifteen yard throw, nine yard throw,
twelve yard. It was just like a nice solid drive
from him. By no means perfect for either quarterback there,

(15:05):
but I thought both of them again had some nice moments,
So that was probably my big big takeaway. Spencer Schrader
had a great day locking up that starting kicking job
if that was in question at all. And unfortunately, we
probably should hit on the injury bug here a little
bit later because it is a notable list of names
on both sides of the ball that will impact things
here as we inch closer to roster cuts coming up

(15:29):
a week from tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
No quarterback division. What was your biggest takeaway from the
game on Saturday?

Speaker 9 (15:34):
James injuries, That's probably my biggest thing. It was some
huge injuries throughout that game or significant injuries, I would
say obviously Blake Freeland being the most significant injury. And then,
like I said earlier, throughout the show, you got a
couple of guys who are competing for starting spots, you know,
getting banged up. You know, are you already down at
cross Hunter Roller goes down as well, and Tyler Goodson

(15:56):
goes down, and so it got to a point there
where we're sitting there just waiting, uh for the PA,
PA assistant or PA system in the press box to
tell us what's the latest on the guy we saw
them off the field. So unfortunate there. And then on
a more like lighthearted note, I think the end of
the game was probably one of my biggest takeaways was,
you know, same second came into the room afterwards if

(16:16):
they had lost obviously and they ruled that Jolonny Woods
catch not a catch, and he goes, oh boy, how
about that finish? And I told him flat out and
honestly probably was not the most professional thing, but I
was like, there's no way you would come in here
like this to be this jolly if that was a
real game. And he looked at me and he was like, yeah,
you're right, you know, I'd probably be a little more upset.
And we were all joking with Joel a ericson who
is our poor reporter. We were like, we should make

(16:37):
you go do a poor report with the officials to
explain what happened. But in all seriousness, I still don't
really know why it wasn't a catch. I know they
said they I thieve they said he didn't get both
feet down, But man, the replay and I'll not ever
say that because I thought of anything you could say,
well off of like the broadcast more not than the
really the officials.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
It was the ball.

Speaker 9 (16:57):
Maybe that's the thing. I mean it It looked like
a catch to me and obviously to a lot of
Colts fans. But that was I was just thinking, and
Joel kept saying, and I told him, I was like,
you'd be quiet and enjoy that this preseason game. That
was kept saying this game it would be like, you know,
a disaster. We would all be Our story would be
literally that play and nothing else would matter. So quite

(17:18):
the finish, Joel's writing the high of the Brewers weekend.
So he was Kevin, and I are writing the high
of that Brewers weekend right now, aren't we, Kevin. We'll
get to that in a minute here, but real quickly,
carl Or say, Gordon did speak during the third.

Speaker 7 (17:30):
While riding the high. Didn't the Reds lose the series?

Speaker 3 (17:32):
Yeah, but they they ended the streak. We'll talk about
that in a second.

Speaker 7 (17:35):
Here.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
I want to talk about she spoke it in the
third quarter of the TV broadcast. Any takeaways from there, JV.

Speaker 9 (17:42):
Not really, I mean, obviously she wasn't as a hyperbolic
as her father, her late father might be.

Speaker 10 (17:49):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (17:49):
I thought that it was a couple interesting that set out.

Speaker 9 (17:51):
She said it was a very expensive decision regarding the
quarterbacks though. That was an interesting choice of words to
use when it comes to Daniel Jones or Anthony Richardson.
But everything else is pretty vanilla. She didn't mention that
Guz had to go because Bradley that is that that
was probably the most uh blunt way that she put
in kind of such she loved him, but it was time. Yeah,
literally what she said, it's like old Yeller in the

(18:12):
back of the shed. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't
know that, you know, uh, that's harsh, you know, a
graphic mark.

Speaker 7 (18:19):
But yeah, nevertheless, he did have to go.

Speaker 9 (18:21):
And other than that, no, I mean I listened to
ten minutes of it, but all of it was pretty vanilla.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
All right, now we can move out of Major League Baseball, Kevin,
i'mside because the Cincinnati Reds have ended the buck the
Milwaukee Brewers fourteen game winning streak I'll take living in
the moment right now with a three two victory.

Speaker 7 (18:38):
Those losses Friday and Saturday were so well.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
Giving up the seven run Friday.

Speaker 7 (18:42):
Was cruciating, so brutal. So no, that's lipstick on a pig.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Are you gonna abandon being a Reds fan? Are you
gonna abandon following this too?

Speaker 7 (18:51):
Winso bed on Friday night thinking that the eighth one,
I thought the Reds one.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
I went to bed.

Speaker 7 (18:56):
I woke up Saturday. You gotta be kidding. Saturday loss
was right out there.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
Friday. I mean it just yes, I know, how the
hell are they doing that?

Speaker 7 (19:05):
Nobody's heart in mid August should have to go through
that from me, Yeah, it's like if that Gelanne Woods
play would have been in the regular season. That's literally
how I felt watching the Reds lose those games Friday.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
There see, I look at it as one hundred and
sixty two game season. You got to forget those things quickly.

Speaker 5 (19:19):
And move on.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
You just got to move on.

Speaker 7 (19:20):
Your brain different than mine.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
All right, three two the wins for the Reds. Yesterday,
the Cubs got an edging win over the Pittsburgh Pirates
four to three. The final score there, I knew you
were going to go there immediately, but four to three
was the final score. There they get the victory. Saint
Louis Cardinals. Not so fortunate, they lose to the Yankees
by a score of eight to four. Indians lose on
the road to Scranton Wilkesbury seven to five. There they

(19:44):
are off today and Scottie Scheffler Kevin Bowen, Wow, did
he put together another incredible tournament. An eighty two foot
chip in on seventeen yesterday to seal the deal in
the BMW, his fifth win of the season. He's doing
Tiger like things at this point in time, is he not.

Speaker 7 (20:04):
It's really the closest thing we have seen to Tiger
since Tiger. I guess to put it as simply as
I can. He is a special special talent. Yeah, Lebron
James Patrick Mahomes tweeting about Scottie Scheffler. So quite the
weekend there as he captures the BMW and now they're
off to the Tour Championship. You were locked in on
the live playoff. I'm sure. Can we go around the table?

(20:26):
Can anyone name the winner of the liv Golf tournament?

Speaker 3 (20:28):
I have not looked yet this morning.

Speaker 7 (20:30):
You know I can't, James Boyd No, No, Mark Dyton.
I can only because I looked last night, but otherwise
I didn't watch a second of it. Sebastian Munio's shout
out Sebastian Munials. He went pants and long sleeves this
week in that weather to the State Fair one more time.
I saw people in full hoodies and pants y s
trum like, are you insane? Are you trying to die?

Speaker 9 (20:46):
Okay, so my question is to follow up with I
was just debating this when I was playing Basketball JAMV yesterday.

Speaker 7 (20:52):
Were they under the age of twenty?

Speaker 9 (20:54):
I don't know, because all of the like the high
school kids that I see is I'll probably see this
Friday if I go to a game. Man, they wear
hoodies and sweatpants and these they are not the nice outfitsts.
You know, the swag is nice, but I'm like, how
are you wearing this when it's ninety degrees?

Speaker 7 (21:08):
They like a climate cooling method, I guess. So it's
just like I don't know that I saw a guy
in full pants, full hoodie with a jean jacket on
top and a backpack, like are you are you trying
to like? What are you doing right now? You're you
gonna have the coolest paramedics come after you like you
are going to pass out any live reviews from your
guys crew, Did you guys talk to anybody that ventured

(21:30):
up to Westfield? Andie White went and he told me
that it was He's a big live guy anyway.

Speaker 9 (21:36):
Yeah, but he but he told me that he was
talking to me and Bob Kravitz before the preseason game
on Saturday, that he thought it was a pretty cool,
like family kind of atmosphere. Like he said, it was
one of the more recent golf settings he's been at
where there were a lot more people that were just
younger or younger crowd. They said that might be good
for the sport overall, a lot of things for kids

(21:56):
to do, So from that aspect, he thought it was
a good nice I guess, pivot from the traditional golf settings.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
I know this.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
I am a fan of Chatham Hills and I hope
they had a good weekend. So that's where we're at.
They just get caught up in the fact that we've
got Colts preseason, we've got fever, we've got all these
other things going on, and it's it's gonna be tough
for them to find their mark, but they're going to
be I think they've committed to Indiana Indianapolis area for
a while now, haven't they.

Speaker 7 (22:20):
They are back at Chatham next year. Yeah, I think
there are some rumors about potentially more of a stay
here in the Donut County. So we'll see.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
All right, we'll keep an eye on that for you.
In the meantime, it's time to take a break. We'll
talk more about the cults and maybe we have a
quarterback decision ahead this week. We'll do it next year
at ninety three five and one seven park tucting off
and running out of Monday morning there, Mark, how about that?

Speaker 10 (22:46):
Well?

Speaker 7 (22:46):
This is inspired by Kevin talking about jow Rule and
Nelly last week, and I was like, well, Nelly, he's
got some bangers. I don't know about jow Rule as well.
Someone said Ja Kwan made an appearance ja Quan saying
tipsy and then last what she did? What do you well?
I mean, what more do you need to say?

Speaker 3 (23:01):
That time you go?

Speaker 7 (23:02):
I couldn't stand that song.

Speaker 9 (23:04):
I was waiting for Kevin Paul at the band aid
right there and put it on his.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
Cheek all right time to move on to the Indianapolis
Cults in preseason game number two on the broadcast. Joe
Wright's joining us now on the Payless Liquors hotline. We
all know Joe, former Colts player and very popular guy
here in the area. Good morning, Joe, How are you doing?
Are you big jaw Rule guy?

Speaker 11 (23:25):
Big jaw Rule guy? I was maybe at you know,
seventeen or eighteen, but probably stopped about nineteen. But yeah,
I know he had a big concert with Nelly last
week and they were rocking. They're over at Rule Off.

Speaker 3 (23:38):
There you go.

Speaker 11 (23:38):
Yeah, a little jew Everybody use little juice on Monday mornings, right,
A little bit tired, yes, a little bit sweepy rolling
in So I do love Monday mornings though, because you
got to bring that high juice to start the week
off right.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
No question about that. So I'll ask you the same
thing I asked each of our Steam colleagues here, Kevin
Bowen and James Boyd a moment ago. Where are you
at quarterback one right now?

Speaker 11 (24:03):
Well, watching the game and calling it with Matt Taylor.
I thought both guys had one really good drive, and
you saw that drive and said, okay, this is what
the quarterback position should look like for the Indianapolis Colts. Now,
they both had a couple of moments you'd like that back.
I think you know Jones early on that that quarterback
center exchange, which you rarely see. I think that rattled
him a little bit, and he missed the throne a

(24:23):
warn the next time. And then after Richardson had just
a great drive leading the team down the field, you know,
then he was a little bit behind on a couple
passes going there. So in my opinion, both guys did
good things, but neither guys separated themselves against the Green
Bay Packers. But if you listen to Shansteigen's comments postgame,
you know, it sounds like he's close to making a decision.
And I don't think the game first say, on Saturday afternoon,

(24:45):
is gonna necessarily change maybe what his gut or instinct was.
So at the end of the day, that's sort of
it's a gut decision. It's you're taking everything that you
know about Richardson, You're taking everything that you know about
Jones and you experienced in the preseason from OTAs through
camp on a day to process and guys, I still
say that you know, there's so much stuff that goes
on behind the scenes that we don't see as fans.

(25:07):
Right we see camp, we see the preseason games, the
joint practices. We're not sitting on the meetings when they're
going through film. They're talking through schemes and what's your
check and what you see from the defense here, and
how do you think the safety's rolled coverage pre snap
to try to decide it. So but it sounds like
there's gonna be a decision, probably sooner than later. And
everybody keeps asking me, when do you need to know

(25:28):
as a player, I'm like, you need to know when
the head coach tells you to go. But I would
imagine that either you know before the game, you know
right after the game. With Simcy, you're gonna have your
decision and you're gonna have two weeks to get ready
for the season and you're gonna roll with what you got.
But I think the good thing is there's been a
lot of competition, not only there but throughout camp, and
I do think that's raised both guys because you know, hey,

(25:50):
if I have a bad day or two, the other
guy's gonna get the edge and nothing will bring out
the best competitors and all of us like having somebody
right there that you're both competing for the same job.

Speaker 7 (26:00):
Forty four career starts plus three in the playoffs, show
rights with us here and then you heard him, of
course with Matt Taylor over the weekend on the Colts
Radio Network. Joe, you mentioned behind the scenes, and that
is probably a really good thing to point out. And
I know you can't really boil it down to this
simple with the quarterback competition, but as a player, and
obviously you didn't really deal with quarterback competitions, but as

(26:20):
a player, would you rather have the quarterback with the
higher floor or the higher ceiling.

Speaker 11 (26:28):
That's a hypothetical question, and so I don't really have
an answer for it because I think they both bring
different skill sets, you know. I think when you're talking
about Daniel Jones, I think you know again, you know,
you say, Okay, well, he's played longer, he's got more experience.
But Richardson, I mean, he has so much talent and
there's things that Anthony Richardson can do that really no

(26:49):
other quarterback in the NFL can do. So I'm excited
to see what the decision is. I know that the guys,
I'm sure is exciting to And I think that's the
other thing too. I mean, you know, I'm not going
to speak to any thing, and I don't know anything,
but I would imagine that there's guys in the locker
room that are going to Shane Stigan too and saying, hey,
you know what about this?

Speaker 3 (27:06):
What do you think about this?

Speaker 11 (27:07):
And you know, Shane said, it's going to be a
cumulative decision and he's going to get input from a
lot of people, but the end of the day, he's
going to make it. So the fact though, that you
have a head coach that's a quarterback guru or quarterback
whisper or whatever you want to call it, I think
that's an advantage too.

Speaker 5 (27:21):
Right.

Speaker 11 (27:22):
It's different than if your head coach is a defensive
coach and you know, maybe he didn't play the position,
but you know, if anybody's going to have a beat
on what they want and what they want this offense
to look like, it's going to be somebody that's got
all the quarterback experience, play call and experiences, somebody like
Shane Steigen.

Speaker 9 (27:37):
Joe Beyond the quarterback play, one of the biggest developments
I thought from that game was just some of the injury,
the injuries that took place throughout Saturday's game, and unfortunately
for Blake Freeland that involved a series ride leg injury. Obviously,
you played this game, you played, you played on the
offensive line, But what did you think of just a
team's reaction to coming out there and kind of giving
him some words of encouragement through obviously what's going to

(27:58):
be a difficult, you know road ahead.

Speaker 11 (28:00):
Yeah, first off, you feel horrible for Freeland because you
see the play happen and when you're engaged with the
d lineman like that and you get rolled up on.
I mean, it just looked really bad from the start,
and then they bring the card out. I did think
it was really neat, kind of touching that the whole
team went out there and was talking to him and
you know, patting him on the chest and dapping him
up and praying for him, and that just shows, I
think the closeness of this team. And so, yeah, unfortunate

(28:23):
for Freeland. You know, guy who's played played a lot
of snaps for the Colts. But you know, that's the
thing about football, It's the brutality of the sport is
the game moves on, and I do think that Jalen Travis,
who played pretty much the whole game at left tackle,
I thought he did some really nice things. He plays
mostly right tackle. During camp, I thought he held his
own at left tackle, and so it looks like he's

(28:43):
going to be your swing guy. But I was excited
about Travis. He's a big man, he's a strong man,
and I think, you know, when you look at the
Colts draft and think about it, I mean Warren is
I had high expectations for Warren and they're even beyond
that now just walk. I mean, he's gonna bring such
a different dimension to this Colts team. Then you go

(29:04):
to the second round and JT. I thought he's played
really well during camp. He's flash during games both in
the run in the past. Wale unfortunate for him because
he was having such a good camp and Lion really
to be the starter. But anything about Travis, DJ Giddens,
he's the guy who wanted to highlight two on the
show because he's got a patience and a vision for
running backs you don't often see in rookies. There was

(29:25):
one play Saturday when he had the ball and most
guys are just gonna take it and run it. He
kind of set it up. He was patient a little bit,
almost had his hand on the offensive lineman following his blockers.
So again, it's early in terms of the twenty twenty
five NFL Draft, and I always laugh when the day
after people give draft Gate draft grades. It's like, how
do you know this team? These guys are gonna be good. No,

(29:47):
nobody's played a snap yet, But I do think that
the twenty twenty five draft is setting up to be
really solid for the Indianapolis Colts.

Speaker 9 (29:53):
Hey, Joe, you know I love my post draft grades,
my mock draft that are always wrong.

Speaker 7 (30:00):
This is you know this, this is what you know
keeps the lights on at that time of the year.

Speaker 11 (30:04):
What was your grade?

Speaker 7 (30:06):
I have no idea I can here and tell you
what these grades are. And I laugh.

Speaker 9 (30:09):
People tell me like this is so pointless, and it's like, well,
if you saw numbers and the clicks, man, you would
know why we do it. But in all seriousness, going
back to Tyler Warren, I know you said that you
were high on him. What made you, I guess a
bit more convinced that he'll be an impact player as
a rookie is it just saying it happened in a
game setting the last two weeks.

Speaker 11 (30:29):
Yeah, I mean he dominated college, but I think his
physicality has been more than I thought at the NFL level.
And just how fluid he is route running. He's just
got a knack for finding ways to get open and
he's so big his catch radius and being fluid and
running routes. I mean, you know, the Colts tight end
production was thirty two out of thirty two in the
NFL last year. But when you think about him, Moalley,

(30:52):
I think Will Mallory has had a quiet, really good
training camp and that's a position that the Colts need
to get a lot more production this year. And you
expected to led by number eighty four.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
Always good to talk to you, Joe. Great job this
past weekend. We appreciate your thoughts and hope things go
well for you all week long.

Speaker 11 (31:09):
All right, sounds good? Well, thanks for having me on Fellas.

Speaker 3 (31:11):
There you are. He might be might at one point
in time, for a brief moment in time, been the
biggest job rule fin in Indianapolis.

Speaker 7 (31:18):
Right, No, I could see Joe Wrights having a time
or two up at Deer Creek back in the day.

Speaker 9 (31:21):
I just love how he said he was a job
wil frame for all of like eighteen months, seventeen years old, fifteen.

Speaker 7 (31:27):
Years old is what he went with there. Yes, one
final job roll party before you're off the Western Michigan.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
That's exactly how it works. Anything that he said that
sparked your interest there.

Speaker 9 (31:38):
I agree with the DJ Giddons assessment. I think that
he's shown some stuff throughout preseason and really he's a
bit more of a complete back than I thought I
think coming out in my mind, I'm like, oh, there's
got a lot of passes in college, he could be
the third down bag. But my understanding is that they
believe he can be, you know, a guy who can
play more than just on third downs, and he can

(31:59):
contribute as a runner more so than just as a
pass catcher out of the backfield. So you saw some
of the vision that he has, and I think that
he's trending up right now.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (32:07):
When Chris Ballard has compared him before to Marlon Mack
when he said that, I was like, wow, that makes
a ton of sense. When I watch DJ Giddens run,
I definitely think a little bit of Marlon Max. So yeah,
running back wise, you know, Jonathan Taylor and DJ Giddens
are obvious, and then James who knows. I mean that
Tyler Goodson injury, I felt awful. I wrote something on
our website. You know ten guys that I thought really

(32:28):
had a nice camp and improve their stock, and to me,
Goodson was one of them, and so I felt bad
for him that he got hurt among others on Saturday. Again,
right now, I mean, if I go through this fifty
three man roster, I could probably count twelve thirteen guys
dealing with injuries that I would have to make the team.

(32:49):
That's a huge number. And again roster cuts. A week
from Tuesday, we're less than three weeks away from the
starth the Regers season. Obviously, some of those guys are
going to get back, but some of them you're gonna
have to factor in. Oh wait, how long are they out?
Do we put them on ir to come back? Are
they going to be back within the first four weeks
of the season. It's a lot of roster gymnastics for
Chris Bauer and Chain Styken and company here over the

(33:11):
next eight days.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
All right, we'll get some of your text line thoughts
coming up in a few minutes here, but also over
the weekend and yesterday specifically, Indiana Fever got an incredible
comeback win, which we talked a little bit at the
beginning of the show Down twenty one. They come back
and they beat Connecticut on the road. But another key injury,
and we don't know how bad it's gonna be. James Boyd,
you saw the injury with Sophie Cunningham. We all know

(33:34):
what the worst possible thing could be, like an acl
or something like that. But how many injuries can this
team withstand and keep plugging on. I mean, I think
that's one of the reasons stuff that he went was
so emotional in her postgame comments and in the locker
room after the game last night.

Speaker 9 (33:48):
Yeah, And one of the things I try to do,
I don't really speculate on injury is we don't know
how serious or non serious it is. We'll have to
wait and see what the team says. So that's my
opinion on the nature of the injury. But yeah, I
thought that they responded pretty well. They were dead in
the water therefore a large portion of that game, and honestly,

(34:09):
they made it more difficult. They probably had to be
and I get that some of that probably is like
the mental side of it, we see another player go
down and having a rally. But that would have been
a horrendous loss against the Connecticut Sun, And obviously it
turned out to be a very big win for this
team because one thing, the Connecticut son are terrible. They're
not a good team at all, one of the worst
teams in the league, if not the worst team, they

(34:30):
actually are the worst team in the league. So having
two losses team on your resume would have been a
hard one to get over. And then on top of that,
just looking at the standings, man, it is very very
tight right now. The Fever are currently in the sixth
seed right now, one half win or half win or
half game over the Golden State Valkyries, and they're right

(34:51):
there between being in the playoffs and out of the playoffs.
So I think that's a huge win for this team.
Let alone the schedule coming up. Kevin, I know you've
probably taken a peek at it, but they've got some
really good teams on the horizon. So that one last
night I think was a big, big win for them,
because it does not get any easier for this team
and not saying it was easy last night, but yeah,

(35:11):
it doesn't get easier.

Speaker 7 (35:13):
Yeah, I think honestly, the Stephanie White emotion post game,
you know, I don't know, maybe a little bit of
it is going back to Connecticut, but I thought it
was just so layered in everything that transpired yesterday. First off,
you have Sophie Cunningham go down on what looked to
be an awful injury, Will await word on that, and
you're thinking to yourself, oh, bleep, how the bleep is

(35:33):
this happening again? Like it's unbelievable that the Fever continue
to have these injuries, and you know they look to
be serious injuries with Art McDonald and Sidney Colson and
all of that, and then the unbelievable comeback and Kelsey
Mitchell showing why she's one of the greatest players, probably
on the very short list of greatest players ever to

(35:53):
play for the Fever, honestly, she's probably right behind t
Meka catchings.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
And then.

Speaker 7 (35:59):
You'd think about the standings like that that win, if
you were to lose that game, that's three in a row,
and James, you know you just pointed out kind of
cause not good. You know, these would fall into the
categories of like, oh my gosh, when's Caitlyn coming back?
When is she not coming back? You know, like one
of these of you know, Stephanie White Sain pregame yesterday,
I hope she comes back for the end of the season. Well, James,
anytime I hear a coach say hope, I hope to

(36:21):
go play augusta National something.

Speaker 9 (36:23):
Yeah, I saw a lot of different reactions to that,
Kevin about you know, oh my gosh, she's coming back
like very soon, So, oh my gosh, she's off the
rest of the season. But the truth is her comments
yesterday were no different than what we've heard, which is
that she thought indefinitely and we'll just see you from there.

Speaker 10 (36:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (36:37):
I mean, it just you know, in the NFL right now,
I think we're dealing with this a little bit with
Matthew Stafford situation. Yeah, I mean, it's just a lot
of uncertainty around when is going to be the return
for Caitlyn Clark. This week, they don't play till Friday,
so you have a practice Wednesday and a practice Thursday.
To me, those would be day two circle on the
calendar for her. You know, we're at a month now

(37:00):
post injury here, so does she get out there this
weekend because again their regular season is starting to come
to a close there, So amidst all of it and
Sophie Counneham injury being the biggest news, I did think
that postgame locker room was was pretty cool. You know,
a regular season win. To see the emotion that Stephanie
White had, you don't typically get that in pro sports.

Speaker 9 (37:23):
And then next up they have Minnesota at home, they
have Minnesota on the road.

Speaker 7 (37:27):
They have Seattle at her home.

Speaker 9 (37:29):
They got you know, Los Angeles Sparks who had that
number of this season in Golden State Vakyriz who smoked
him at home earlier this year. So again, that was
a huge win last night because it does not get
any easier opponent wise for the rest of the way.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
All right, we've been talking about Stephanie White and how
emotional she was. There was a clip that The Fever
put out of her talking to the team after the
game and just talking about how proud she was. But
just listen to her voice and you know what this
team is starting to mean to her, and so are you.
I'm proud.

Speaker 7 (38:04):
I'm so proud of you, guys.

Speaker 12 (38:07):
I know that sometimes it sounds like the word when
we talk about being resilient, but it's not, man, it's
how we live.

Speaker 7 (38:17):
It's how y'all live. And it's a tribute to you.

Speaker 12 (38:20):
It's a tribute to your connectedness, your togetherness, your your
your toughness, your mindset.

Speaker 7 (38:25):
You never give up gritty attitudes like that's what it takes.
That's what it takes. We will never never be counted
out because that it's worth it. Goal, that is worth goal, kels,
God damn, put us on your back. Oh big time, Breezy.

(38:54):
You are the consummate professional. We love you, we appreciate you.
You are huge. Ayb point forward.

Speaker 12 (39:07):
It's like, look, you can't underestimate what it means to
have somebody like her who just does whatever we ask, right,
does whatever.

Speaker 7 (39:14):
I mean, everybody really likes. That was a huge toash
your activity. And that's what it's gonna take. Okay, that's
what it's gonna take.

Speaker 12 (39:28):
We gotta play free, we gotta play with no pressure.
But we fight live that resilience every day and we
will accomplish what we want to accomplish.

Speaker 3 (39:41):
Okay, So there you go. Obviously very emotional afterwards. I'm
ready something to do with the enjoy the win. You're good,
I'm contesting.

Speaker 7 (39:51):
I'm ready. I'm ready.

Speaker 9 (39:52):
I'll run through a brick wall for Stephanie White after
hearing that, But no, that was awesome. I think that's
a good reminder there, Jeff, of what sports mean people.
And it's not just the money, the attention to fame.
I think sometimes you can get lost in that, But that,
to me was a speech given by someone who's loved
basketball her entire life, and she's responding to a group
of women who have rallied, competed and done it in

(40:14):
a way that is very endearing. It reminds me of
the Pacers, where it's the underdog kind of spirit. We're
never really out of it until it's over. And yeah,
dare I say that they have done some special things
this season in spite of Kitlin Clark's injury, so big
one yesterday and then again, I just feel so good
for Kelsey Mitch, who's playing meaningful basketball after you know,
some dog dog days and years really with this franchise,

(40:37):
so special stuff.

Speaker 3 (40:39):
Yeah. So the combination of thirty four or thirty eight
after halftime for Kelsey Mitchell and that togetherness that Stephanie
White talks about our Key to the game. Brought to
you by the Hubert Automotive Group. Check out your next
car at drive Hubert dot com, Indiana's giant Automotive Group,
and live from the Hubert dot com studios, we are
the Fan Morning Show. We'll talk more cults next as
we continue in ninety three five one, seven to five,

(41:00):
the fan Jones goes out of the gun.

Speaker 2 (41:05):
He's going to take to the air on first down,
plants in the pocket looking left, lies it down the
near side of.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
Body Tyler Warren to catch inside the red zone.

Speaker 4 (41:12):
I tried to show up every day and improve, grow
in my understanding of the offense, and make good decisions consistently.
I think that's been something I've I've always tried to do.

Speaker 3 (41:23):
The Packers are bringing the blitz.

Speaker 2 (41:25):
Richardson in trouble, gets out of the initial way of
going to take off.

Speaker 3 (41:28):
There's a flag on the play.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
Richardson scrambled will conclude around the fifteen yard line. This
is going to be defensive holding though on the Packers,
and the scramble for Anthony Richardson might be enough to
produce a first down.

Speaker 5 (41:39):
I feel like I've been doing a decent job, you know,
and improving. But at the end of the day, I
just want to keep improving. And if I do want
a job, and no, thank god. If not, I need
to keep working.

Speaker 6 (41:49):
I've seen obviously three weeks of it, so I'd like
to have a decision here shortly. I feel pretty clean
when I make that decision. And again, when I make
this decision, I'm going to do what I feel, you
know best for this football team.

Speaker 3 (42:02):
Those are the words at the end there of Shane
Stike and talking about his quarterback situation. Good morning, and
welcome into the Fan Morning Show. Kevin Bowen, James Point,
I'm jeff Rickert along with Mark Dyton, and we'll get
some of your comments on the fan text line in
a moment here at two three nine ten seventy. But Kevin,
I'll say, for those just joining us, and we talked
about this about a half an hour ago. Listening to
those comments by Shane Steiken, it sounds like he just

(42:22):
wants to talk to a few folks this morning. It
feels like just the tone in his voice, I've had
three weeks of this. I'm close. Maybe he just wants
to get some feedback at this point in time, and
maybe he gets talked into let's look at him one
more time this weekend. Who knows.

Speaker 7 (42:36):
Hey, part of me here's that and thinks, James Tomorrow
eleven to fifteen am, Shane Steken meets the media, Does
he announce it? Does he tell the guys today and
announce it tomorrow?

Speaker 3 (42:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (42:45):
Part of me thinks that if he tells the guy today,
we might see a league today and then tomorrow he
would officially address it. But that would be my thinking
behind it. I mean day off yesterday, everyone, I do
want to know. I thought about this driving in today. Actually, Like,
what do you do if you're a quarterback and the
days off you're not going to hear anything?

Speaker 4 (43:04):
What do you do?

Speaker 9 (43:05):
Just sit in your like living room and just with
the lights off and just think about, Oh my gosh,
it all comes down to this.

Speaker 3 (43:11):
So what do you do?

Speaker 7 (43:11):
Do you hang out with your family? Do you tell
everybody to leave me alone? Play with those kids? And yeah,
you know, is there anything else? I'm serious? But do
you know of anything else? You could.

Speaker 11 (43:23):
Do?

Speaker 9 (43:23):
You kidnap a couple of the wide receivers and say hey,
let's let's go do something together, and then if you
don't get the job, you're tell them, well, you could
walk back or how did that go?

Speaker 3 (43:31):
I think the correct answer is you go home, you
watch film, and you take notes and study the playbook
and get ready for your next practice, right, and.

Speaker 9 (43:39):
Yeah, you probably have to, but it is I'm very
curious to hear, and I think Anthony has been more
open about it, just the nature of that, you know,
the the duality of having to be a good teammate,
had to be ready, but also realizing that man, if
I don't get this opportunity, I'm gonna be very disappointed.

Speaker 7 (43:55):
Did you think Anthony sided a reserved after the game
Saturday to like, I don't think I have this job?
Am I reading way too much in Anthony Richardson's words
post game? I think so.

Speaker 9 (44:08):
I think he's kind of been like that since he
honestly was benched last year. Since he's come back, he's
been a lot more in my opinion, from that down
to earth and sort of grounded in a sense that
he wasn't before. And I was saying he was like
super arrogant before. But I think that there is a
sense of humility and a sense of mortality where it's like, oh,
everything isn't necessarily in my fingertips all the time when

(44:31):
I want it to be. So I think that he
just he's taking like the more mature I've learned some
things approached. But deep down I think he knows, you know,
I want to be the guy and I need to
be the guy.

Speaker 7 (44:43):
There is part of me. It sits here. And you know, again,
it sounds like a decision is very eminent, and we
just watched the last three weeks unfold. Anthony Richardson did
not miss a single team practice session. Yes, he did
obviously leave the Baltimore game early, but then miss a
Singleton also.

Speaker 3 (44:58):
Wanted back too, right said again he wanted back into
that game too.

Speaker 7 (45:02):
I don't really think that that matters too much, but
again his fault for the injury leading to him exit
the game. He doesn't miss a single practice. Wrap of
the two quarterbacks, he led the only touchdown drive in
the preseason, and the touchdown drive he led I thought
was the exact type of drive you want to see
from him. Twelve plays, ninety yards, methodical right arm, you know,

(45:25):
just boom it.

Speaker 9 (45:25):
Kept it going amid a couple of penalties too. That
brought him back right.

Speaker 7 (45:28):
Yeah, he played from behind the chains a few times,
five or six on the drive. I would argue the
one in completion probably wasn't even his fault, just you know,
a donal Vashion dol and thought the ball was coming
or what so. And yet I sit here right now
and I think Shane Steichen's kind of picked Tangel Jones,
which is got it good? Can you elaborate on that?
And is okay?

Speaker 9 (45:49):
So I've heard you say this, And I was talking
to Stephen Holder about this after the game as well,
and he has me thinking that man could say, you
really choose Daniel And one of his reasons was because
of the comments made after the game about the operational
part of being a quarterback. And is that part of
why you think he might lean in that direction because

(46:11):
a lot of it isn't just pure throwing, if that
makes sense.

Speaker 7 (46:14):
Yeah, I thought Chain emphasized that a couple of different
times post game. And again, James, what is the one
word he's used since March? Consistency? That has been the
word he has always come back to. And you know,
we had Joe Wrights on a little bit ago. You know,
I asked Joe Okay, what would you prefer as a player?
Would you want the quarterback that offers you a little

(46:36):
bit of a higher floor or would you want the
quarterback that offers you more of the ceiling? And it
seems like when they drafted Anthony Richardson it was all
about the latter. For the Colts. It was, Yeah, you
got to create big plays and you need someone that
can offer, you know, the stuff you can't drop on
a white board and when everything breaks down, can you

(46:56):
make that play? I eve Anthony Gould throw that Anthony
had on Saturday, But now it seems like it is
shifted towards No. We've done that song and dance, and
right now I need a quarterback that I can largely trust.
And I think that Baltimore play of how Anthony Richardson

(47:16):
got hurt, I could just see that mattering a whole
lot to Shane Stichen, I don't have a strong conviction,
to be clear either way. I would start Richardson. I
think you need clarity and you need to stop with
all the excuses and figure out if you got something
or not. That's the path I would go down. But
in Shane's eyes, he just has always talked like more
of a Jones guy, I think throughout this offseason, and

(47:39):
maybe I'm reading too much of a man who says
very few words, but that's how I felt. Do you
not feel that way, James? Would you? Do you think
Shane Sticken will say who I guess, to just put
it blown, I think he'll say Anthony Richardson. Do you
think he'll be Richardson? And I think it will be Richardson.

Speaker 9 (47:52):
And I think that because again I go back to
not necessarily what he's his words have been, because I,
like you said, trying to parts through Shan Stychen's words,
there are not many of them, and I feel like
whenever I do that, I could talk myself either way.
But my general thinking is kind of along the lines
of what I think me and Jeff and really all
of us have said throughout these last two weeks on
the show, is that if it's close, you would think

(48:14):
you leaned towards the guy you drafted number four just
a few years ago, because in my opinion, Daniel Jones
has done nothing to win the job. Now, I won't
say that he's done like anything to lose the job necessarily,
but Ty goes to the runner, Ty goes to the
guy you had here already.

Speaker 3 (48:30):
In my opinion, yeah, I go back and it didn't
count because my guy, Adie Mitchell messed it up. But
the play that he made it just it's tantalizing.

Speaker 11 (48:40):
Right.

Speaker 3 (48:41):
He is big and strong and athletic enough to get
away from a sack and then he put the ball
on the money what thirty thirty five yards downfield?

Speaker 9 (48:50):
Right the thirty game they got negated by Adie Mitchell
being offside.

Speaker 3 (48:54):
But yes, I don't know can Daniel Jones do that?

Speaker 9 (48:58):
I think he can in some instances. I'm not saying
that throw in particular.

Speaker 7 (49:02):
But Daniel Jones ain't making that that play.

Speaker 9 (49:05):
You know, I mean like just to down the field
stuff like we saw him pushing down the field for
example with Tyler Warren. But again, do you say that
Daniel Jones ain't making that play? Which I'm not arguing that,
but like, do the Colts think they need their quarterback
to make that play?

Speaker 7 (49:19):
Well, that's kind of what I was getting at, is
what like Jeff brings up that play. I would think
the thing that resonates more Shane Styke and leaving Saturday, though,
is Anthony Richardson did lead again, a very methodical touchdown drive,
Like that's where you want to see growth. That play
he made Anthony Gould. We know Anthony Richardson can do that,

(49:39):
he has done that in the NFL. It's more of
the reverse of it. I thought, honestly, one of the
things I was struck by a post game two and James,
you asked Daniel Jones's question, James, what Daniel Jones has
spoken to the media what do you think eight times
here in his Colt's career. Sometimes in his Colts career.
I don't think I've walked away one time thinking wow,
that was in and then postgame he says this, and like,

(50:06):
I don't know if he meant it in this manner,
But James and correct me are wrong. You asked him
something to the effect of like, hey, what do you
think you've done to earn the job? Yeah?

Speaker 9 (50:14):
You know, I basically said, what do you think you've
shown the coaches to make an argument?

Speaker 7 (50:18):
To be QB one? I mean, because he keeps tap
dancing around the competition.

Speaker 9 (50:23):
Every time we ask him directly about it, He's just like, Oh,
I'm just here to compete and be a good teammate.

Speaker 7 (50:27):
Bump that.

Speaker 9 (50:28):
I'm like, I'm not trying to hear that anymore. You
came here to take somebody's job. Have you done enough
to do that was best in my cup? On more
money Minnesota for a reason exactly, And that was my question.
Here's what he had to sell, and just one more
additional thing for context. Here his answer, it almost sounded
like he was literally saying, what are Anthony Richardson's weaknesses?

(50:50):
Oh yeah, let me say that out loud. And here's
Daniel Jones.

Speaker 4 (50:54):
Just tried to show up every day and improve, grow
in my understanding of the offense, and make good decisions consistently.
I think that's been something I've I've always tried to
do and we'll continue to work on. But I think
consistent decision making and you know, throwing the ball acurately accurately,

(51:14):
I think that's a huge part of playing the positions.

Speaker 3 (51:18):
You know, that's something I've tried to do. Yeah, that's
an undeniable asset in the National Football League.

Speaker 7 (51:23):
There's no question consistent decision making, throwing the ball accuracy
accurately is a huge part of playing the position. If
you had to sit there and say, what are two
things you have questions about with Anthony Richardson, you would say, well,
inconsistent decision making and throwing the ball inaccurately. Right just

(51:44):
when Daniel Jones said that out loud of like that
is unbelievable that I don't know if he was trying
to do that, but he's not, Like he's not wrong
in the answer. No, I just found it hilarious that
the guy that again has not said anything interesting for
six months says that seemingly forty eight hours before we're

(52:06):
about to get this quarterback decision.

Speaker 3 (52:09):
And again it seems to be high ceiling but low
floor versus high floor and low ceiling. It feels like
that's that's your choice right now.

Speaker 11 (52:21):
James.

Speaker 9 (52:23):
Fun I was gonna say, I don't know what else
to really, you know, Okay, here's my other thing I
wanted to get into.

Speaker 5 (52:32):
This is a.

Speaker 9 (52:34):
I don't know if I'm just bored in the media
because I get sick of people, you know, giving you
these cliche answers. Oh, Anthony, it's not up to me.
I get the job, thank God, If I don't, gotta
keep working. Yeah, but like you want the job, and
so do you think either quarterback would have been a
little bit more definitive in their answers, but why they
we should about why they should be the starter if

(52:56):
they had done more to be the starter, Like do
you think we would have gotten anything else?

Speaker 7 (53:01):
Because I feel like both guys are.

Speaker 9 (53:02):
Saying, like, you know, I knew I didn't do a
whole lot to maybe impress you, but like I got
even better than that guy, right, Like what again, that's not.

Speaker 7 (53:10):
Like go to and dating that guy?

Speaker 13 (53:15):
Right.

Speaker 3 (53:16):
Aaron Tuxson says that he pictures Shane Steichen as the
Bachelor wondering who to give the Blue Rose to.

Speaker 9 (53:21):
I'm serious though, but like, will we have gotten someone infinitive?
Kind of like from either guy because either guy is like, well,
you know, I'm just trying to get better every day,
and I'm like, well, have you gotten any better?

Speaker 7 (53:31):
To play the bachelor? Sort of analogy there. That's Daniel
Jones grabbing Shaanesyke and say, hey, can we go out
to the fire just one last time? I got one
more thing I need to say, and hey, can I
steal you from a minute.

Speaker 3 (53:42):
That's where he says, do you know what's really going
on back there?

Speaker 7 (53:44):
Can I can I take you to Ralston's for a
date on mass Ave and you know I'm gonna I'm
gonna throw these comments and like that, That's what it
felt like. I'm jotting this down Moore, having Daniel Jones
say those comments. What do you guys think of again
the question that I threw to Joe Writes internally and
that locker room, what do they want? The higher floor
of the higher ceiling? If you were a player in

(54:07):
that locker room, Let's say you're Jonathan Taylor, would you
rather have the higher floor theoretically in Jones or the
higher ceiling theoretically in Richardson?

Speaker 3 (54:21):
I feel like I'd want the guy who has the
chance to have the higher ceiling to again, who hasn't
had a ton of opportunities, A lot of reasons why
not getting into that, But I feel like I want
to roll with Anthony Richardson until it just becomes untenable,
before it's two. Let I mean, you don't go three
four games, But do you see if he's made Don't

(54:42):
you want to see if he's made a step forward
at some point with as much as you've invested him
in and everything else. And again, Shane Steigen might feel
like his job's on the line. I got to I
can't worry about this guy's future. I gotta worry about
my future and the immediate future. And again, we look
at a team that was eight and nine last year,
that probably let a couple of games slip away James

(55:05):
and better decision making and taking care of the football
in certain situations may and maybe some better field goal
kicking and some key points. Maybe that makes you all
of a sudden, you go from eight to nine to
either nine and eight or ten and seven. Do you
look at it that way with some of the additions
and upgrades you've made on defense.

Speaker 9 (55:22):
Yeah, I think that's part of it. That's certainly in
the conversation.

Speaker 10 (55:26):
Man.

Speaker 9 (55:27):
I think if I'm in that locker room, I probably
want Ar mainly because one he's been there longer, I
have a relationship with him, and you've seen glimpses of
what it looks like when it clicks. And I go
back to the Jets game last year. If there's any
Ar truthers out there, they're gonna look at that game
and say, you really want to pass?

Speaker 7 (55:47):
Do you really want to pass this up?

Speaker 9 (55:48):
When's the last time Daniel Jones had a game like this,
and it probably goes back to twenty twenty two when
he had one of those games against the Colts.

Speaker 7 (55:54):
Ironically, but.

Speaker 9 (55:57):
I also wonder too though, when it comes to an
anthony like after he got his finger messed up and
the preseason opener, how many guys in that locker room thought,
you know what, this guy always gets hurt.

Speaker 7 (56:09):
Well, that would be the counter to it, James, is
if you're a guy in the locker room, and let's
just speak to that play for a second, you're one
of those guys that was out there. DJ Giddens on
that play, or Tyler Warren on that play, or you know,
probably I should go with a little bit more of
a veteran. You did everything right on that play. Ten
of you were on the same page. One of you

(56:31):
made the mistake, and it could if that's a real game,
let's say that ball gets jarred loose, So ten offensive
players are on the same page, and yet you just
had a stripsack in your own territory against a team
that you're probably a touchdown underdog against. That is disastrous
when you speak from an NFL game point of view.
So I could see the locker room like our our

(56:52):
poll that started the camp mark was what eighty five
percent Colts fans won. Richardson, Yes, that locker room to
me would be a lot closer to fifty to fifty, Like, yeah,
I can hear you, Jeff of like, yeah, you know,
higher ceiling and you know healthy off season and the
played Anthony Gould. You know Dan Jones isn't making that. Yes,

(57:12):
but then if you're a part of that locker room
and you watch the play against Baltimore, you're thinking, wait
a minute, we all sit in the same meetings and
ten of us are on the same page, but you're not,
and that just costs us a football game.

Speaker 3 (57:25):
Yeah, you can. Would you be so, let me put
it to you this way. Would you be surprised by
the announcement of either guy tomorrow?

Speaker 9 (57:33):
No?

Speaker 7 (57:34):
No, I know either guy. I mean James. I don't
know if you've probably done this, but I'll probably at
some point today. Right, both guys have been named the
starter articles like Kevin at three h five. It's one
of those situations where like I could see it being
both ways. Yeah, I definitely could. And for those caurious
about the Colt schedule this week, they will practice tomorrow Wednesday, Thursday.

(57:58):
I believe we actually still get to watch the full practices, right, James, Yes,
I got that clarified with Colts PR. So I put this,
they're back at their own facility, we get to watch
the full practices. And while Shane hasn't committed to a
date per se obviously, he said on Saturday that he's
close to a decision, it wouldn't stun me if he
announced that tomorrow before their first practice. So again, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,

(58:21):
off to Cincinnati Friday, and we'll await what the preseason
finale plan will be against the Bengals. July twenty third,
I tweeted on the show account, do you want the
Colts starting who? Do you want the Colts starting quarterback?

Speaker 5 (58:31):
To?

Speaker 10 (58:31):
Being?

Speaker 7 (58:31):
Twenty twenty five? Eighty two point four percent? Said Anthony Richardson.
Do you think that's any different? Like a little over
a month later, almost a month later, if.

Speaker 9 (58:39):
I put that tweet out, I'd probably say it might
be more more in favor of Ar at this point.

Speaker 7 (58:45):
Yeah, yeah, I don't think that would change overwhelming. Again,
I brought it up more from a locker rooms, like
if you asked that same question mark to the lock
of truth serum. You know what would be that A
I think you would have a heavy divide within that
room of what they would want and what does that
do for the locker room too? If like the guy

(59:05):
that you prefer doesn't get the like, are you gonna
play any different? Yeah, you pissed off? Well part of
me things, Nah, I don't think so. Honestly.

Speaker 9 (59:13):
I think if you are a true professional in that
locker room, and let's say they pick Daniel Jones and
you're an ar person, you're probably thinking, well, he had
his opportunities and now we got to go.

Speaker 7 (59:23):
Win well and you and you got your own freaking
job to worry about it exactly. If you play defense
for the Colts, there's you've contributed to Gus Bradley getting fired.
And if you play the offensive line for the Colts
right now, I think you've got a little bit more
questions about that group than I thought.

Speaker 3 (59:36):
All Right, coming up in a moment, we will check
the fan text line and see what folks are thinking
out there. Tell me who you would pick as the
starter and why, and I know a lot of them
are coming in. We'll try to get to you throughout
the course. Of the show and we'll focus in on
it coming up in just a minute. In the meantime,
Mark Dyton, let's check it down. I will update you.

(01:00:01):
Apparently one O seven to five the fan is back
up on one oh seven to five. Mark has just
got an email from our chief engineer. He said it's
up and running again. So folks have been a polished
trying other things for their Yeah, we had a little
bit of a breakdown at the at the transmitter site today.

Speaker 7 (01:00:18):
I put as much a little one foil as I
possibly could out there.

Speaker 3 (01:00:21):
Yeah, but you didn't hold the right string on the
in side.

Speaker 7 (01:00:24):
It's like the old time antenna's.

Speaker 3 (01:00:25):
Yeah, anyway, check that out. In the meantime, we've been
talking about the Indianapolis Colts. They of course lose their
preseason game number two to the Green Bay Packers this
past Saturday, But all of the talk today is about
whether Daniel Jones or Anthony Richardson did enough in camp
and in that game to be named the number one
quarterback maybe as soon as tomorrow.

Speaker 9 (01:00:46):
James Boyd, Yeah, I think Anthony probably made his best
case to b QB one in that game against the Packers.
That first drop in particular was exactly what you want
to see from him. But then you saw a couple
of the misses flare up on that second drive. I thought,
Daniel Jones, after a rough first drive, had nice second drive.
So has you the one done enough to take the job?

Speaker 5 (01:01:06):
No?

Speaker 9 (01:01:07):
Has he the one done enough to lose the job?
Not really, It'll just come down I think the preference
at this point.

Speaker 3 (01:01:12):
Non quarterback division, Kevin Bowen. The biggest takeaway from this
past Saturday probably injuries, right.

Speaker 7 (01:01:18):
Yeah, injuries, Yeah, we can probably get into that. Shout
out to Spencer Trader. A couple of big kicks, I thought,
four field goals, right yeah? And what was that long
fifty six six? N It wasn't seventy though, so.

Speaker 3 (01:01:30):
It was a little little has reset the bar for you, James?

Speaker 11 (01:01:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (01:01:35):
For those listening seriously, there was a kicker down in Jacksonville,
Cam Little, who made a seventy yarder in their preseason opener.

Speaker 7 (01:01:40):
Game winner against the Colts last year, down there and
Crystal Mon's number thirty eight. For those that are looking
for corners to step up, I thought Lamon's had a
very active day. Actually had the one sack too, blitzing
there so we'll see about the cornerback depth chart how
it all is going to play out. Both Kenny Moore
out right now? They need a nickel slot corner and
I thought Lamon's had some good moments.

Speaker 3 (01:02:01):
James, one more time in Cincinnati this coming week, right, yep,
I will be heading down there to one pm kickoff,
so it should be a nice little day trip for me.

Speaker 7 (01:02:09):
No joint practice this week, just to be clear on that.
I know a lot of people are used to the
Colts having joint practices.

Speaker 5 (01:02:14):
They will.

Speaker 7 (01:02:15):
They are back at their own facility for Tuesday through Thursday,
and then, like James said in Cinci, for the finale,
what are the odds that you can get a Shane
Stek and we're onto Cincinnati from him? Probably zero?

Speaker 3 (01:02:24):
Right'd be great?

Speaker 7 (01:02:26):
I send him up for I'll ask him.

Speaker 3 (01:02:28):
Quick side note, while we're talking about Cincinnati, apparently Trey
Henderson may be up for trade right now. Any shot
that the Cults are interested or at least kicked the tires,
You kick the tires.

Speaker 9 (01:02:38):
But in reality, no, I wouldn't give up draft capital
when I don't know who my quarterback's gonna be next year.

Speaker 3 (01:02:43):
All Right, we'll move on now to the Indiana Fever.
They were resilient. That's one thing that they have talked
about their resiliency throughout the course of the year. They
were resilient against the worst team in the league. They
were down twenty one on the road yesterday, one of
their best remaining players, Sophie Cunningham, goes out of the
game with what could be a devastating the injury. We'll
find out more later on today. Kelsey Mitchell had only

(01:03:05):
scored four points in that first half, lo and behold,
she drops thirty four in the second half in overtime.
Natasha Howard eighteen points, nine rebounds, of Leeah Boston fourteen
and thirteen. Lexi Hole had a big three in overtime
and they come from behind and win ninety nine to
ninety three KB. That was an entertaining watch in the
second half yesterday.

Speaker 7 (01:03:24):
Kelsey Mitchell showing why she is one of not only
the best players in Fever history, but I think she's
pretty widely regarded around the WNBN. And we brought up
a few weeks ago, WNBA did that video of hardest
player to guard in the league, and several of the
answers or Kelsey Mitchell, absolute bucket getter, outstanding. You hear
Stephanie White, we played that audio earlier, referred to Breezy
in the postgame locker room. I thought bree Turner stepped up.

(01:03:45):
And really, with all the injuries, they're going to need
the Notre Dame product.

Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
A lot here.

Speaker 7 (01:03:49):
So just much needed win on many levels right now.
They're just kind of right there potentially playing with fire,
and for the most part, they again have kept their
head above one without Caitlyn Clark. But with Minnesota coming
up to games this week Friday and Sunday, you know,
you don't need to be looking at any four or
five game potential losing straight there, so just much much

(01:04:12):
needed from a standing standpoint.

Speaker 3 (01:04:14):
Fourteen straight games JB without Caitlyn Clark. Any any chance
that she's back within the next week and a half
two weeks the way you see it.

Speaker 9 (01:04:24):
Well, I don't see anything because I'm not you know,
on the staff or in the locker room or the
medical staff. But I would just say that they're holding
out hope. That is what Stephanie White said, They hope
that she comes back this season. But really that comment
and to me is no different than her just being
out indefinitely, so we'll see how it all shakes out.

Speaker 3 (01:04:42):
There was a professional golf tournament held in Indianapolis over
the weekend, or at least the Indianapolis area. Sebastian Munos
wins the liv Golf Tournament to defeating John Rahm in
a playoff, so at least there was some drama out there.
And they had a fifty nine in their first round
this past week Kevin Bone, So there were some good
things out there, right.

Speaker 7 (01:05:00):
Listen to Arlow White, the announcer yesterday, tell me that
it's one of the biggest rounds of Henrik Stenson's career.
Henrik Stenson has won a British Open correct out, dueling
Phil Mickelson and one of the greatest British Open Sundays
we've ever seen. He's finished top three and five majors
in his life. And Arlow White's telling me that Sunday
at Live Westfield is the biggest, one of the biggest

(01:05:21):
rounds of his life.

Speaker 3 (01:05:24):
I'm not sure I'm buying that one.

Speaker 7 (01:05:26):
I didn't really follow that one. No, sounded like good
time for peel that out there, especially young kids, casual fans.
The music, the entertainment you know, I was out there
earlier in the week and the fan fest stuff was
pretty good, all right.

Speaker 3 (01:05:40):
Meanwhile on the PGAH Jason Derul, Scottie Scheffler fires a
fifteen under party when the BMW at Caves Valley in
Owings Mills, Maryland. That's his fifth win of the year,
and he's starting to do Tiger like things. Yeah. I
don't know that he has the broad appeal certainly that
Tiger had and all that charismas stuff like that, But

(01:06:01):
you just look at the stat sheet and the numbers
and the wins and the dramatic chip in on seventeen
Yestually he's doing Tiger like things. Kevin, I was a
Tiger like moment.

Speaker 7 (01:06:09):
Yeah, it definitely doesn't have the you know, incredible appeal
in charisma that Tiger certainly brought to the game of golf.
But nonetheless, Scotty Scheffler is in a whole different stratus.
I think I saw the gap from him to number
two in the world is the same as Rory's number
two is the same as number two to one hundred
and fifteen in the world. So yeah, it is largely

(01:06:33):
Scotty Scheffler's world right now. Lebron tweet about it. Patrick
Mahomes tweeting about it.

Speaker 3 (01:06:36):
All right, Major League Scotty versus.

Speaker 7 (01:06:38):
The Batian Munos. It sounds like that should we do this?
Should Live send a golfer of the PG two every
week and the PG too, or send a golfer to
Live every week?

Speaker 3 (01:06:46):
Good luck with that.

Speaker 7 (01:06:47):
He was drawing the short straw on the PGA tour.
You think that would be a good idea, just to
add some drama.

Speaker 3 (01:06:51):
I think Live would like that.

Speaker 7 (01:06:53):
Would you be more apt to watch? I think so?

Speaker 3 (01:06:56):
Yeah, I actually watch a good amount of Live Major
League Baseball today. Cincinnati Red's bringing in to the fourteen
game winning streak the Milwaukee Brewers had going on three too,
took him extras, though they got it done in ten. Meanwhile,
the Cubs beat the Pittsburgh Pirates four to three, and
the Saint Louis Cardinals losing at home to the Yankees
eight to four. In interleague play there, the Indians Indianapolis

(01:07:17):
Indians lose to Scranton and wilkes Bury seven to five.
They are off today, and Austin Dillon wins NASCAR in Richmond, Virginia.
That's only the second time that the number three car
has won a race since Dillarnhardt Junior back in two thousand,
Dylan one the Coca Cola six hundred back in twenty seventeen.
So at least the number three cars back in victory Lane.

(01:07:38):
For our motorheads out there, we like that. Next week
is when Indy car gets back under way too.

Speaker 7 (01:07:44):
Milwaukee and Nashville the close out the year. By the way,
do you guys see Taylor Gooch at liv put on
a what's that name? It's the Taylor Gooch Gooch last
name is Gooch Gooch. Mister Gooch put on a Thunder
on the party hole out there before he cheat off.

Speaker 3 (01:08:03):
That's wrong, It's just wrong. I hope he was summarily booed.
Hell yeah, more than Boode.

Speaker 7 (01:08:09):
I respect it, though I think you throw I think
you I think you a lot to throw stuff at.

Speaker 9 (01:08:13):
Him that too, But I think that's fair. If he's
a true Thunder FANUC.

Speaker 7 (01:08:18):
Pet's my ass.

Speaker 3 (01:08:20):
That might be Kevin's two favorite things live in thunder Jerseys.
I guess we'll move on. Coming up next, we will
take some of your thoughts into who is QB one
check in on the fan text line at two three, nine,
ten seventy. We'll do it as we continue on nine.
Good morning and walk come in on a Monday. Colts

(01:08:43):
have won more preseason game at Cincinnati later on this week.
We'll talk more about that, but here's the question at hand.
For the fan text line at two three, nine ten seventy,
get on and be heard. Who would be your starting quarterback?

Speaker 7 (01:08:55):
And why?

Speaker 3 (01:08:56):
At this point in time, Shane Stikeen says he's very close.
Kevin Bowen. You think that maybe means tomorrow when he
meets the media. Correct, Yeah, I.

Speaker 7 (01:09:03):
Mean again, I don't know that by any means, but
I'm trying to think James. Wasn't there a Wednesday last
year where just I don't think it had leaked at all,
and Shane was like, Anthony Richards has been benched. Wasn't that?
Didn't that happen at one point last season?

Speaker 9 (01:09:18):
I do know when he came back it wasn't leaked. Yeah,
into the Starry lineup, So maybe he.

Speaker 7 (01:09:23):
Tells Anthony and Daniel Jones's decision today they're back again.
This is kind of a regular season week for the Colts.
They play on Saturday, so everything's bumped up a day.
But that's how they're treating this week, and then we'll
hear from Shane tomorrow eleven fifteen. So yeah, maybe that's
the path that they that they go down.

Speaker 9 (01:09:40):
I'll give Daniel Jones a call this evening. I'm sure
he'll tell me everything.

Speaker 3 (01:09:43):
He'll pick right up.

Speaker 7 (01:09:44):
But this is where I seriously do want to know.

Speaker 9 (01:09:49):
Let's say they choose Daniel Jones, is that it for
Anthony Richison? Because I think if you choose Daniel Jones
that is a much more significant decision versus choosing Anthony
and then pivoting Daniel Jones later, like trying to pivot
back to Daniel I mean Anthony Ritson again. If Daniel
Jones doesn't work out the first month of the season
or whatever the case may be, that is a hard, hard,

(01:10:12):
just pivot to make, especially after you you've now benched
a guy twice. Basically, see, I've heard people on both
sides of the fence. People have said, if you start
Anthony and then bench him, Once you bench him, it's
full on twenty twenty six mock draft season, no one
wants to see Daniel Jones by quarterback.

Speaker 7 (01:10:27):
That's the camp I'm men that if you if you
start Richardson and then you pull the cord, then that's over.

Speaker 3 (01:10:33):
It's over.

Speaker 9 (01:10:33):
Whereas if you would you go That's what I'm saying, like,
you can't put him back in at that point, right,
Like if you.

Speaker 7 (01:10:38):
Start Jones, the fan base is largely just clamoring to
see Richardson one final time. So whenever you do bench Jones,
then whatever, at least you're watching Anthony Richardson play and
you get a final answer on him. I've always said
that if you go with Jones, your fallback, if you'r
Shane Stikeen can be well, Anthony had the issue heading

(01:10:58):
into training camp obviously, the finger, and we just need
to catch him up on whatever. You can use that
as an excuse of them, like okay, and you can.
Then you know, you play Daniel Giants, you play Daniel Jones,
and then whenever, whenever that time comes, you're like, we're
going to Anthony Richardson, that's it. You're not going back
to Daniel Jones as Anthony Richardson's show, Good Batter Indifferent,

(01:11:19):
and then you find out what your answer is.

Speaker 3 (01:11:20):
Here's a Chris a season ticket holder since twenty twenty two,
thinks ar will get the nod at first, have a
lot more invested in him. Plus the upside is way
higher with him. But the first sign of injury or
sub fifty percent completion percentage unless we're winning. Put Daniel
Jones in. Also Kevin, he wants to know, do you
think it's possible Ballard loses his job in the offseason?
Shane Stike and would he be able to keep his

(01:11:43):
He thinks he's the best coach the Colts have had
in quite a while.

Speaker 7 (01:11:45):
Yeah, you know, I didn't, James feel free chime in.
I didn't take away much from Carliras Gordon in the
booth during the third quarter. But if there is one
takeaway I think we have had from her in her
press conference and maybe even a little bit with Greg
Ray Sean Rick Ventury on Saturday. I do think she
wants the head coach in GM as tied at the

(01:12:08):
hip as possible from a cohesion standpoint, So that leads
me to think, would you really force a GM upon
a head coach? I keep stiking and fire Ballard. That
just gets messy, I think more times than not around
the NFL, it just it's work. Yeah, and Marks Bears
can speak to it. You saw it in Tennessee recently,

(01:12:29):
so it's weird. Stikeen's been at the Helm for what
this is his third year and it's Ballard's ninth. I
get that that does not fall in the same sort
of timeline, but if I had to make an assumption
on it, I think Stikeen and Ballad are tied together.

Speaker 3 (01:12:45):
Here's one says Colts nine and eight with Minshew? Is
Jones better than Minshew? Didn't give a name, but is
Jones better than Minshew?

Speaker 7 (01:12:55):
What do you think?

Speaker 3 (01:12:59):
Not a pretty?

Speaker 10 (01:13:01):
Wait?

Speaker 7 (01:13:02):
What's that word? I have to use this in a story.
What's that word? I've never heard that? Appreciably appreciably? What
does that mean?

Speaker 3 (01:13:09):
You know that in this context now appreciably is not
a lot better?

Speaker 7 (01:13:13):
Oh okay, I think you're all the same. Bersette Wentz,
Ryan so Wentz was twenty seven and seven. They're all
getting right where you don't want to be in that
quarterback purgatory in the NFL twenty seven touchdown past seven interceptions?

Speaker 10 (01:13:30):
That was that?

Speaker 3 (01:13:30):
What it was that year?

Speaker 9 (01:13:31):
I don't even know, but I wasn't here for that.
But I say that tongue in cheek. By the way,
for those who are ready to turn us off, please
keep listening. I think that he's probably better than Minshew
because Minshew couldn't throw the ball down the field. The
question with Daniel Jones will he He has the arm
talent to do it, just hasn't done it that much
in his career. And honestly, it goes back to a

(01:13:53):
few years ago when they changed some coaching things in
New York, and I think they just beat it in
his head, like you just don't need to turn the
ball over, and that made him kind of a shell
of himself. So we'll see if it comes out that
show a little bit more with this team, but I wouldn't,
you know, better bank on it with Daniel Jones. But
I think he's better than Gardner for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:14:13):
Purdue US High Dad has a nice analogy. One is
great and sporty but seems to break down. The other
is slow but reliable. So you drive the sporty car
and drive it like hell because you know you got
old reliable sitting in the garage.

Speaker 7 (01:14:26):
I do like this analogy.

Speaker 9 (01:14:28):
I I don't know if the old reliable is all
irreliable though, I mean, the last time we saw Daniel Jones,
he looks terrible, and he was benched and basically jettison
from New York.

Speaker 7 (01:14:38):
I just keep on going back to those Jones postgame
comments where he goes, I feel like I make decisions consistently,
and I throw the ball accurately, and I'm taking the
anti ar. I'm thinking, that's like the that's like Jay
huff walking into a Pacers press comms and be like, guys,
I rebound the ball. I don't know what your old
center did, but I know I can rebound. It was
I thought it was one of the more in directly

(01:15:01):
funny and hilarious comments that I've heard of. Like, wait
a minute, he is literally attacking Anthony Richardson's two biggest weaknesses.

Speaker 3 (01:15:07):
And he's the most controversial guy ever.

Speaker 7 (01:15:09):
In his last public comments until I assume Shane Stek
is gonna name a starter.

Speaker 3 (01:15:16):
Colleen says she would name ar as QB one because
of that first drive, illustrated that he has improved his
ability to complete short and intermediate passes, and the long
one called back because of AD's off sides was an
incredible throw. I just pray he can stay healthy. Go Colts.
Couple of blue heart emotions the.

Speaker 7 (01:15:34):
Old reliable in the garage is like a ninety seven
like Buick Century with the spare tire on it. And
you're like, if I got to go to this thing,
I guess I could. I don't know how many miles
I'm getting out of it, though.

Speaker 9 (01:15:44):
Yeah, I don't think it's I don't think that's like
a Toyota Camry. Like I'm not looking at Danie Jones
as that.

Speaker 7 (01:15:51):
There's no Maserati in that garage. Yeah, should they be
letting this thing play out one more week? No, Shane
ste hate that idea because honestly, are you laughing? Because
I heard Mark say no immediately. That's why I left. Okay,
why do we not?

Speaker 14 (01:16:10):
Mark?

Speaker 7 (01:16:10):
I was just gonna say, we don't even have an
answer right now.

Speaker 9 (01:16:12):
You're talking in circles just because you're disgusted by the debate,
or like, do you think that it would be somewhat
beneficial for one guy to all of a sudden become
the full rep guy.

Speaker 7 (01:16:21):
Well, at some point, like the coaching staff needs to
make a decision, and I guess like, like, like Shane said,
he's seen more of it than anybody else has, so
maybe he's seen stuff be hind closed doors and everything
like that. But at some point, don't you just need
to have the team, Like, when you're nearing the season,
weeks away from the regular season, don't you think that
you owe it to the locker room to kind of
be like, we need to make a decision here. This
is our guy. And when you start prepping for the

(01:16:42):
Dolphins and we can't be playing this competition game into
the third preseason game when every other team in the
NFL is usually resting starters.

Speaker 3 (01:16:49):
So you bring up a great point and it goes
to something that Kevin was saying too. When you get
behind the scenes and you start looking through film, and
film doesn't lie. Did the guy make the right read,
did he have the right depth of his drop? Is
he doing the right things? Is he calling the right
play for all those things? If you're consistently missing on

(01:17:11):
a lot of those things that you and I never
see but the coach sees on tape all the time,
it erodes his confidence in that guy. I just can't
trust him to do what I need him to do right.
I Mean, sometimes it's more than just making a play,
it's does he get us into the right situation? Does
he have us in the right way here? Is he
making the right drop, is he making the right read?
Did he go through progressions? Those are things we don't

(01:17:32):
necessarily see all the time.

Speaker 7 (01:17:33):
Certainly, and that's why I do think Daniel Jones is
much more having an opportunity to win this starting job
than maybe people want to be just it's pretty wild,
you know, as Mark points out there, like in a
game that you rest your starters. So if you don't
play your starters Saturday against Cincinnati, let's say Daniel Jones
wins a job. So Daniel Jones does not lead a
touchdown drive in either of his preseason appearances, I'd argue

(01:17:56):
as Green Bay practice was one of the worst that
he has had throughout camp, and he wants to John.

Speaker 3 (01:18:01):
I'll let Brad have kind of the last word on
this particular segment. Here he says the question Shane Styken
needs to ask himself, have you.

Speaker 7 (01:18:08):
Gone with Colleen and Brad? Those are both of my parents' names.

Speaker 3 (01:18:11):
Wow?

Speaker 5 (01:18:12):
Are they?

Speaker 3 (01:18:12):
Are they your parents?

Speaker 7 (01:18:13):
I can't imagine they have figured out hotline keV Wevy,
that's reserved for me.

Speaker 3 (01:18:24):
Question Shane Styken needs to ask himself is who gives
the team the best chance to beat Miami. From what
I've seen, Brad thinks it's Daniel Jones. Got a regular
season game coming up, who gives you the best chance
to win?

Speaker 9 (01:18:38):
I don't know, honestly. I feel like i've I can
go both ways with either quarterback. But I just think
if you start Daniel Jones week one, that's the end
of the ar era. And I don't care what anybody
from from the front office says at all. I think
they would all be kind of lying at that point.

Speaker 7 (01:18:54):
But then what if you've been Shaniel Jones three weeks
into the season gets one more fans? Right, Yeah?

Speaker 9 (01:19:01):
But then I will counter and say, how many top
ten quarterbacks have been benched twice and it turned out
to be actually good quarterbacks?

Speaker 5 (01:19:07):
None?

Speaker 9 (01:19:08):
And it bingch for that guy Daniel Jones, who, by
the way, has done hardly anything.

Speaker 7 (01:19:12):
Kevin Garnett anything as possible. That's what the Colts are.

Speaker 3 (01:19:14):
Trying to attempt, right all right, we'll talk about a
little bit more next as we continue ninety three to
five and one of seven to five of the fan.
Lots of text flying in on the fan text line
two three, nineteen seventy. Make sure as we get this
thing up and run over the next couple of weeks
that you give us a name. So moving forward, when
you text in, we can call you out by your
first name and give you some credit for some of

(01:19:34):
the great questions that are going on, like, for example, Kevin,
here's one without a name right now. Now it's Mike.
Thanks Mike for getting back to me. Does the head
coach wait till right before kickoff the first regular season
game to make a call it quarterback? Just for a
competitive advantage? I know, I mean we can't watch practices now, right,
we can.

Speaker 7 (01:19:52):
Watch this week? Yeah, yeah, this week. It's still not
at Grand Park anymore, but yeah, we'll be able to
watch them at the facility. Yeah, I know, one changed second.
How much he's obsessed with preparation probably wouldn't be the
craziest thought in the world. But I don't know. Shane
acted like the league before then, right right right? Shane
acted like he was part of me. Thinks it happens tomorrow,

(01:20:14):
But maybe I'm wrong.

Speaker 3 (01:20:15):
Let's go to the fun lines two through nine, ten seventy.
You can always get ahold of us there that well
we had Jared and he just dropped off. Jared caught
right back.

Speaker 7 (01:20:22):
Speaking of dropping. You guys might judge me for this
this show.

Speaker 3 (01:20:26):
No one would ever judge it.

Speaker 7 (01:20:27):
No, I'm judging. I was a little I'm a little
nervous to share it. But this is safe space. Correct, No,
it's go ahead.

Speaker 3 (01:20:33):
Have you heard Mark's introt?

Speaker 7 (01:20:35):
Guy's ever stuck your hand?

Speaker 1 (01:20:38):
Easy?

Speaker 7 (01:20:38):
Now in the old porter potty?

Speaker 5 (01:20:42):
No?

Speaker 8 (01:20:42):
Why?

Speaker 7 (01:20:43):
What possible? Be something related to your kids? This has
to be this better be like a wallet situation or
something is in geez, what are you doing? Shout out
to the great Sausage fest over there forty six in Illinois.
Outstanding time this weekend. Derek Schultz and the immense heats
felt awful. I'm trying to scream and yell at him
and say hi, but he was too busy. Uh, doing
a great job grilling sausages. It's hotter than you know what?

(01:21:07):
Or potty training Max Bowen. He tells me, I gotta
go pee, So we make a you know nice usein
bolt sprint to the porter potty, get him in there.
It's hot, I'm sweating. I got the sunglasses on.

Speaker 3 (01:21:19):
Oh it's a great time to be at a porter potty, right.

Speaker 7 (01:21:22):
I can't think of a worse time, and he's given
a great effort. He's trying to get his pants down
the under you know, the little Paul patrol underwears a
little kind of stuck. You know, he's sweating bullets after
being in the bounce house seemingly for an hour. We
get him to the ankles. Next thing, you know, I
reach down to try and help them. Sunglasses go in
and I just instinctually put my hand right in there
and get them out. I mean, were these nice sunglasses

(01:21:45):
or were these like you get them? I think I
got him for like fifteen bucks, Kevin.

Speaker 3 (01:21:50):
Mostly reactionary, right.

Speaker 7 (01:21:52):
Just pure reactionary? Is that horrifying? Is there a line
you cross? Is it just wallowed and phone wallet? Phones? Keys?

Speaker 9 (01:22:02):
I'm not mad at it because I do sunglasses not
fall into that boat? Should I have just given them up?

Speaker 3 (01:22:06):
I appreciate it if it was just like a reaction
move right purely?

Speaker 7 (01:22:11):
So is your hand blew the rest of the day.
I mean, I don't know if I got deep into
the weeds of it, but weeds is the last thing
you need to worry about in there. I mean, my
hand was definitely submerged. I'm not gonna lie how many
how many tennis shot I would have been so you
guys wouldn't have done it. You guys would have just
given out, They're all.

Speaker 3 (01:22:35):
I would have found the nearest bathroom I could find,
and I would have been washing my hands for fifteen twenty.

Speaker 7 (01:22:41):
We're at the sausage Fest. I want to understanding gusta
national looking for bathrooms. I would make a plea to
whoever's in charge of the but you got.

Speaker 2 (01:22:49):
This is good.

Speaker 7 (01:22:50):
I would have blue hand with.

Speaker 11 (01:22:53):
It.

Speaker 7 (01:22:54):
Might not be the right tent. Mark, Oh lord, that's
even James Boyd. You haven't chimed in yet. Would you
have gone on in for your I've seen you rock sunglasses. Yeah,
when you've gone minor, pretty snug by the way they
don't fall off. I'm bending over trying to pull a
little two year old.

Speaker 9 (01:23:08):
And again I'm hearing all these things about children. I'm
not hearing the upside right now at all. But in
all seriousness, this is your problem, Kevin. When you take
a l in life, you feel the need to tell
everybody about this. Now, I would do what you did.
I just wouldn't tell anybody about it, and I would
take it to the grave with me.

Speaker 7 (01:23:27):
You feel that, you know, I don't know if it's
like a theraeutic thing for you.

Speaker 1 (01:23:29):
You will.

Speaker 7 (01:23:30):
You come in and you lay on the couch and
you say, hey, doctor, I need to talk. You will
you spell?

Speaker 3 (01:23:35):
You will. As you go on and on your radio career,
you will become more and more comfortable telling on yourself.

Speaker 7 (01:23:40):
Guys. You guys are my support group. You guys are
my friends. You guys, I'm your friend. But I'm gonna
tell you.

Speaker 9 (01:23:46):
You know, Yeah, friend, you was nasty. I understand why
you did it. In all serious is I probably did
the same thing. I just wouldn't teld nobody.

Speaker 7 (01:23:53):
Some people in the chat are chimming, and so your
plan is to keep those sunglasses and then put them
back on your face, go in the pocket. After that,
I can't go on my face. When I got home,
I did one of those all purpose cleaner on them,
and I kept those submerged under SuDS for quite a while.

Speaker 9 (01:24:08):
Yeah, but they're not going immediately back on my face
or my head. No, how soon I would definitely get
my glasses back.

Speaker 7 (01:24:13):
How soon we were housing another sausage in your mouth too.
After No, that was it. We were out of there.
After that that was it, trust me, no hand food.
It's probably for a while. No, I only had une beer.
It was after that.

Speaker 3 (01:24:24):
And when you got home, how long did you spend
washing your hands?

Speaker 11 (01:24:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (01:24:28):
I mean I had at least three or four sessions. See,
we've been to enough like farmers' markets and all that stuff,
or even like the State Fair where there's plenty of
businesses giving out free sunglasses. I'd be like, okay, this
is fifteen bucks. I can invest in new sunglasses and
I'll just get like a cheap pair. Gosh, I'm largely
getting judged now.

Speaker 3 (01:24:43):
I would imagine with kids, you guys sanitizer, right, Uh, yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:24:46):
There's I put hand sanitizer when I got back to
the car, and I don't. I didn't. I didn't have
it in the bag with That's.

Speaker 3 (01:24:51):
A tough moment, but yeah, if it's reactionary, I get it.

Speaker 7 (01:24:54):
Okay, So you you do support me, James and Mark
do not well when you come into the station tomorrow
with pink Ey, we'll know why putting boo sunglasses on.

Speaker 3 (01:25:03):
All right, we'll get back to the colts coming up
in a moment. But also Tony East covers the fever
and the Pacers. We'll get the latest on those two
teams in a moment. We'll get back to your texts
as well. Two nine ten seventy Jared, you want to
call back, We'll get to you at some point as well.
Let's uh take a quick time out and we'll do
it next. Oh, now you're speaking my language, Mark Dayton.

Speaker 7 (01:25:27):
Oh this is the playlist?

Speaker 3 (01:25:28):
This isn't the playlist?

Speaker 5 (01:25:29):
I like this?

Speaker 3 (01:25:30):
This good stuff?

Speaker 7 (01:25:31):
All right? Thanks for artist.

Speaker 3 (01:25:33):
Yeah, I don't know if that can but I know
I listened to it a lot. What is it, Mark?

Speaker 11 (01:25:37):
Who is it?

Speaker 3 (01:25:38):
Game?

Speaker 11 (01:25:39):
Well?

Speaker 7 (01:25:39):
This is the fifty G unit remix, but yes, the
game in fifty but yes, very good.

Speaker 3 (01:25:45):
A lot of the time. I'll hear it with my wife.
She likes she really likes a lot of that music.
She'll play it and I'll just prooved it. I like it.
I'll tell you another guy that we grow to. It's
a victory Monday too for the Indiana Fever. So we
got another victory Monday. Tony East covers the Pacers and
the Fever and he join just now in the Payless
Liquors Hotline. Good morning, Tony East, how you doing today?

Speaker 10 (01:26:04):
Good morning?

Speaker 7 (01:26:05):
I sincerely, Hope.

Speaker 14 (01:26:06):
I am not in anyone's playlist, but have it be here.

Speaker 3 (01:26:09):
Well, you're here today, You're on our playlist. We appreciate that.
You know, we saw in a Fever come from behind
win over a team that's not all that good, but
they match up apparently well with the Fever because they
give them fits every time they come up with an
overtime win over Connecticut ninety nine ninety three. They were
twenty one points down and we saw a very emotional

(01:26:30):
Stefphanie White post game in the locker room, and I
would imagine that that emotion comes from perhaps another big
injury coming. We'll find out today to Sophie Cunningham. But
Caitlin Clark's been out for fourteenth straight games. We've had
injury after injury after injury. What did you make of
her post game remarks.

Speaker 10 (01:26:49):
Yeah, it was not surprising, I suppose, but I just
it did strike me that how emotional she was after
a game like that. I mean, the sun the sun
stink right, and I think that that the fact that
she came to the presser with that, you know, intense
passion after a win like that, it says a lot
about the state of affairs for the team that they
just keep dropping like flies. That would be their fourth

(01:27:11):
ball handler from this season that is out if if
Cunningham's going to miss any time, like that's like all
of them, right, It's just Kelsey Mitchell left basically and
obviously they filled them more now.

Speaker 14 (01:27:22):
So to be in that situation where you know.

Speaker 10 (01:27:26):
She's she's telling us she was like swearing internally when
when Sophie goes down and they have whatever thirty one
points halfway through the third quarter and then win, like
you know that that's a coal like everything coalesces to
finally play the.

Speaker 14 (01:27:39):
Way they hoped they could for whatever that was, to
close the game.

Speaker 10 (01:27:43):
Seventeen minutes, and you know, it could not have come
at a better time. Like they looked really bad at
home last week. Again some not great teams the Sun
or the worst team in the league by record. They're
not like a terrible worst team, but they're pretty bad.
You know, they needed to find a way to do
that and for the players to respond the way they
did and play the way if you were hope they
can without clarkok they have at times this season like

(01:28:04):
that's what a coach hopes to see her team do
and obviously it took Kelsey Mitchell super heroics, but it
was awesome to see you know how much that that
win meant, especially on to day when everything else went
their way standings wise, So.

Speaker 14 (01:28:17):
That I mean, that was a huge, huge, huge day
for the Fever, despite them beating a team that everybody
thought they should beat anyway.

Speaker 7 (01:28:23):
Tony hat tip. I thought the mother bleeping' adjective used
in a tweet to describe Kelsey Mitchell yesterday was very needed.
So great work with that. I won't say it here
to save.

Speaker 14 (01:28:36):
My jo I saved that word for like once a year,
so you know it means something when it comes out, like,
oh yeah, thirty seven point a half for w player
is crazy.

Speaker 10 (01:28:47):
That was unreal.

Speaker 7 (01:28:48):
You met the moment like she did with that tweet.
So great work by Tony East on that. Okay, Caitlyn
Clark update, nothing today, nothing tomorrow on the floor Wednesday
Thursday practice, Stephanie White says the hope is she will
be back before the end of the regular season. I
start to get nervous if we get through this week
and there's nothing on the floor. Would you be nervous too?

Speaker 14 (01:29:09):
I would agree with that.

Speaker 10 (01:29:10):
Like I don't necessarily know that I would say, oh,
she's gotta play by this week to.

Speaker 7 (01:29:15):
You know, for whatever reason, I'm not saying playing to
be clear, I'm saying she needs to practice.

Speaker 10 (01:29:19):
Yes, totally agree, like they and this is the time,
right because you know they have four days to to
have the on ramp kind of happen towards you know,
we finally hear three on three or five on five
or just something where a basketball is being dribble that
she's wearing a fever kit. You know at practice would
because you have a chance to really do it, Like

(01:29:41):
this is a big leak for them to work in
Odyssey Simms. And if they get another hard to player
because the gunning hand, that's great, But like Clark is
the thing to focus on in practice this week if
they can, And like they have a lot of road.

Speaker 14 (01:29:53):
Games to close their season.

Speaker 10 (01:29:54):
Obviously they play the leagu's at home this week, but
you know that they have Seattle like the following weekend
and a couple all their home games. Were saying maybe
this is the time.

Speaker 14 (01:30:01):
It makes sense if it's.

Speaker 10 (01:30:02):
Going to happen, And would you have a random like
they've played I think the most games of any team
in the league.

Speaker 14 (01:30:07):
I'd have to double check that. I believe that there
are ten games.

Speaker 10 (01:30:10):
Left with the fewest of anybody, and so that does
and in theory now give them a chance to have
practice time, which is so rare this late in.

Speaker 14 (01:30:17):
The season, and they have to use it to if
they can.

Speaker 10 (01:30:21):
Get Clark some practice time on the floor so her
return and smoother. And so I agree that if we
hear nothing of the sorts of, you know, on the hardwood,
dribbling doing something throughout three, five on five, that's when
I'd do that.

Speaker 8 (01:30:32):
Huh.

Speaker 10 (01:30:33):
Maybe that hope is just hope, But if something does
come up, then then that'd be great for them, because
they've been everybody this year at some point they're peak.

Speaker 14 (01:30:41):
Shows they have a chance, but they needed a player
to have that chance.

Speaker 9 (01:30:44):
Tony, how big was that win yesterday? And I'm not
saying that as a cliche because of the fashion in
which they did it, but just knowing where they are
in the standings and who's up next on the docket.

Speaker 10 (01:30:54):
Yeah, I mean they're they're scheduled the rest of the way.
If you check, you Tankason has remaining strength to schedule.
They have the hardest strength of schedule by like five
percentage points of opponent win percentage, Like it's much.

Speaker 14 (01:31:06):
Harder than anybody else's.

Speaker 10 (01:31:08):
And that's why this whole this last four games they played,
they played the worst four teams in.

Speaker 14 (01:31:13):
The league by record.

Speaker 10 (01:31:14):
They played DC, Connecticut, Dallas, and I'm missing one for
the Chicago, Like they needed to clean up in that stretch.
They did not do great, but that's why they needed
that win so bad, like to get any sort of
cushion before their schedule gets harder, like this week they
just play the league's and Colliers status is improving, and
that's the best team in the league, like by a

(01:31:35):
good amount.

Speaker 14 (01:31:35):
They're amazing, and.

Speaker 10 (01:31:36):
They play lots of good teams the rest of the
way if they're going to hold off other.

Speaker 14 (01:31:41):
Teams or even keep up.

Speaker 10 (01:31:42):
Like it's so hard to talk about what their goals
should be because they're kind of equidistant from home court
advantage and just straight.

Speaker 14 (01:31:49):
Up missing the playoffs.

Speaker 10 (01:31:50):
But I think their goals should be to make it
first and foremost. If they're going to do that, they
need to win games.

Speaker 14 (01:31:55):
They need to win probably twenty three games, twenty two
games would be my guess, and.

Speaker 10 (01:31:58):
Winning five of their last would be like pretty impressive
given how challenging their schedule is, and so giving themselves
an extra win before that was just so huge already.

Speaker 14 (01:32:09):
And they got every result they needed yesterday.

Speaker 10 (01:32:10):
The Valkyries lost, the Storm lost, the Sparks somehow lost
in the Mystics, joining the Fevers trend from Friday. So
the perfect time to get a win like that in
terms of like confidence and as we saw with Stephanie
might postgame like emotion, combining it with the losses front
of the teams, the Fever's upcoming schedule, like they really
really needed it and they got it, and now they
have four days to kind of regroup and.

Speaker 14 (01:32:32):
Hope some of those teams lose again.

Speaker 3 (01:32:34):
Tony Aast host the Locked On Pacers podcast. You could
also see his work in Forbes, ESB Nation, Bleacher Report, WTCHR,
other various publications. He covers both the Pacers and the Fever.
Move on to the Pacers real quick. I think we
talked about this just for a minute last week, but
as Tyrese Haliburton moving on without crutches in the scooter at.

Speaker 14 (01:32:54):
This point in time, Yeah, he sure said it.

Speaker 10 (01:32:57):
He did a great job of making his He's the
only guy who would make his no crutch, no boot
picture of Puma thing. But yeah, he's got his new shoes,
he's got no crutches. I will miss seeing him scoot around.
It was quite funny to see.

Speaker 14 (01:33:12):
But that's good news. I mean, that's that's where the.

Speaker 10 (01:33:15):
Recovery kind of should be at this point, and it's
nice to be on your feet and moving. It was
funny to hear him talk about how challenging the most
random tasks.

Speaker 14 (01:33:22):
Are at his house. But yeah, on the men, that's good.

Speaker 10 (01:33:26):
Even though he's not gonna play this year obviously, any
sort of recovery update from him that's positive and moving
in the right direction, that's goodness, Tony.

Speaker 7 (01:33:33):
Anything you care about schedule release wise, we saw it
come out last Thursday. Anything stand out to you from
a pacers standpoint, as we're still a little over a
month away from training camp.

Speaker 14 (01:33:44):
Yeah, this is this is a cool thing in the
schedule this year. They don't randomly go to Europe for
a week in the middle of it, so that's that's
a lot better.

Speaker 10 (01:33:51):
Than last year. But they got all the same pacers,
the advantages they usually get, right, they traveled the fewest
miles of any team because they're so close to their
their division opponents, and they have the fewest back to backs,
and I think they have tied for the fewest rest
disadvantage games this year, like their opponents in them will
be even in terms of how they're feeling and traveling

(01:34:13):
at worse for much of the season, which is good,
right if you're a team that is going to be
scraping by and trying to make you know the play
in at least on paper it looks like and that's good.
You want all those vintages built in.

Speaker 14 (01:34:23):
But no, nothing super standoutish.

Speaker 10 (01:34:25):
They play eighty games, and they play the eighty teams
that everybody thought they'd play.

Speaker 14 (01:34:30):
They're only weird part of their schedules that like mid
January through mid February.

Speaker 10 (01:34:34):
Rush with the trade deadline in the middle of it,
where it's like a baseball schedule five road games, four
home games, six road games consecutively. But outside of that,
it's nothing so shocking or different than any normal year.

Speaker 7 (01:34:46):
Tony, which Pacers player will be the best Colds quarterback?

Speaker 14 (01:34:50):
Oh Man.

Speaker 3 (01:34:53):
Didn't see that one coming.

Speaker 11 (01:34:54):
Did you?

Speaker 2 (01:34:55):
No?

Speaker 10 (01:34:55):
I'm used to the opposite, like which Colts play would
be the best on the Pacers, which is a while
the Cox is still on the Colts, right, It's always him,
it's the answer. Yeah, yeah, he's always the answer for
the inverse. I can't believe I didn't know if he
was still on the team or now the best football player.
You said quarterback specifically.

Speaker 9 (01:35:10):
Yes, quarterback if the conference is going on. I'm just
thinking if we got to go across the street to
Gamebridge to pick up a quarterback to start about week one,
who are you picking?

Speaker 10 (01:35:21):
What's what's the typical Yeah, I was gonna say, Haliburn's
got a lot of the trades, right, what's the typical
quarterback hip?

Speaker 11 (01:35:26):
Like six'? Four right?

Speaker 7 (01:35:28):
About, yeah about six.

Speaker 9 (01:35:29):
Four i, WOULD say i think you need a little
bit more Weight. Than, Halibird, no no he might be
too Thin for i'll tell YOU who i think. Would
actuallyovers but but you, know what he might make the
tackle on all. Ten turnovers my pick personally might, be
Mathering but i'm seeing where your.

Speaker 7 (01:35:47):
Mind's Going cam.

Speaker 10 (01:35:49):
Jones feels like he'd be really he's got the, Five,
right yeah he'd be, really slithery he's got the.

Speaker 14 (01:35:54):
Lefty stuff he'd be a kind of QUARTERBACK that i.
Like watching, you know you can go along. With it.

Speaker 7 (01:36:00):
That's A fair matherin was a.

Speaker 14 (01:36:02):

kevin was talking about reaching into the, PORTER poty i
figured he was Talking About chris ball or trying to
find a starting Quarterback between Anthony and Richard And. Daniel jones?
Is that does that make you laugh or make you
cry when you? Hear? That both did?

Speaker 3 (01:38:06):
You start it's like that, little kid that meme of
the little kid who starts being happy at first and
slowly just disintegrates into tears.

Speaker 7 (01:38:14):
A whole looking oh the porta potty poll say that's five.
Times fast let's see we Are at do you have
a lot. OF support i think. They're liars the, question
is would you pick your sunglasses out of a? Porta,
potty yes diseases be damned, or no not? Worth it
eighty three point eight percent, say no Not worth oh.

does not spendwo hundred dolls, with, glasses like are you?

Speaker 11 (01:38:48):
Doing?

Speaker 7 (01:38:48):
That then think you would Then.

Speaker 9 (01:38:51):

then you got.

Speaker 7 (01:38:54):
You rolling you got.

Speaker 9 (01:38:55):
Money already why are you reaching in there to get
the sun glasses if you already paying money?

Speaker 5 (01:38:59):

Speaker 7 (01:39:02):
Which, I MEAN i i don't know what.

Speaker 3 (01:39:04):
THAT said.

Speaker 7 (01:39:04):
I didn't it didn't even crossed my mind not to reach. In,
There boy i've never looked at a porta POTTY like
i can't wait to get my hand.

Speaker 3 (01:39:10):
In there i'd like to say, no way but THAT'S
why i asked initially a question about was, it instinctive
because things in an instinctive manner before fight. Or flight
do you care To Share, jeff no just similar stuff
like when you have two, little kids and at ONE
point i had two, under Two and mark Knows what i'm.
Talking about there gets to be a point where you're
just stuff is starting, To fall you're reaching to. Catch

(01:39:32):
it this goes, over here you just go. Get it
you don't worry about stuff at that point. In time
by the time there are three, and four anything and
everything that could have come in contact with you probably has.

Speaker 7 (01:39:45):
THAT that I get mark over here acting like you
needs some pristine seat cover. BEFORE youse, i mean he
says the context of those are, his kids those are.
MY kids i don't know what's been going on in
that porta potty at sausage fest in. The streets.

Speaker 9 (01:40:01):
What they pointed out that if their, prescription sunglasses he
absolutely got to go. Get, Them Yeah, david kine. FAIR
point i did not think. ABOUT that i work.

Speaker 7 (01:40:09):
Contact glasses, oh, yeah yeah you need to.

Speaker 3 (01:40:14):
SAY that.

Speaker 7 (01:40:16):
I might go On, team kelly you got prescription sunglasses
and fifteen dollars, hold, ON ye i need to know
that deal was.

Speaker 3 (01:40:22):
That insurance oh it's. A, flipper okay you have commented
on this.

Speaker 7 (01:40:27):
Pretty, cool, actually yeah you actually have. Said that they actually.
Look decent so you obviously have your normal glasses and
You got now you.

Speaker 3 (01:40:33):
Do know that every time we see you in those sunglasses,
moving forward that's all we're going to think about when
they're on.

Speaker 7 (01:40:38):
Your, face well with training, camp over you probably won't
see me in sunglasses for. Another year so you know
what we.

Speaker 9 (01:40:43):
Are practiced, Tomorrow people i'll be out there taking a
selfie With one kevin flipping those.

Speaker 7 (01:40:49):
Things down then poop particles can.

Speaker 3 (01:40:50):
Go Flying girth brooks says his, or prescription, our, prescription
prescription and he would not go.

Speaker 9 (01:40:57):
Get them that's because they. Got money you, Know, what
yavan you live In a, midwest, LIFE brother i. Respect
you midwest is trying to. Make it we ain't got money.
Like that just be, thrown, away nah y'all. Some liars
the people in that in that pol. Are liars james's
biggest injury concern for the cult, right now.

Speaker 7 (01:41:15):
That is quite. The question ooh and while you think
the audience if they did Not watch saturday, RIGHT now
i can, name, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve.
THIRTEEN fourteen i can Name fifteen colts players that you

(01:41:36):
could either put on the fifty three men, oster okay
or some cases they're starters that are currently dealing with.
An injury so let me name some. Of them at
Running Back tyler Goods And, khalil herbert at Wide Receiver,
Alec Pierce, shosh Downs Oh Line bernard Ryan And, Braden Smith,
blake freeland Defensive end Quitty Pay sampson Ebcom Linebacker. Jalen
carlis you got The Corners, Kenny Moore, Jalen Jones juju

(01:41:59):
brents and And Safety nick cross when We Saw hunter
woller get hurt in that. Preseason. Game yeah, teen names
now again not all those. Season ending.

Speaker 9 (01:42:09):
I'm not SURE that i could name like one player,
or POSITION but i would definitely go cornerback still corner over.

Speaker 7 (01:42:15):
Offensive.

Speaker 9 (01:42:16):
TACKLE probably i probably would lean towards corner just because
they're so. Banged up and even though a Guy Like
jonathan edwards isn't someone that is going to be a
household name For, the colts or certainly is not a
household name, RIGHT now i just think that him being
concussing that game adds to the questions, about one what

(01:42:38):
does your initial fifty three minut roster look like from the?
Cornerback perspective and then two how many more bodies can
you lose when you staw having got? ANYBODY'S back, i
mean there's still no update right Now On jalen Jones Or.
Juju brents will be out there for practice tomorrow to
see if either. Is available finally after being out a
couple weeks with the, gruin Injuries but kevin it is.
Not good and then keep in Mind That kenny moore

(01:42:59):
has been out for a, week now so what's the latest?

Speaker 7 (01:43:02):
With, HIM YEAH i i don't recall a time eight
days away from roster cuts Week from tuesday. Fifty three
don't Remember the colts ever having any questions here and
again now really leading into, roster, CUTS boy i, you
know sometimes you carry an injured guy, or two but

(01:43:23):
now you're gonna have a lot of decisions to Make,
on okay who do you carry on your? Fifty three
then move them over into? Injured reserve, you know are
you carrying? EXTRA corners i mean THAT list i didn't
even include a Guy Like, jonathan EDWARDS which I if
i am making a fifty three man oscar, RIGHT now
i probably have him. On it he started the last two,

have TO but i Will Take shaan stack and his
words saying he was gonna take a couple of days
and is very close to, a DECISION and i think
that that decision should be announced formally tomorrow and we'll
see what that means for the last preseason game This.

Speaker 3 (01:45:09):
Upcoming saturday knowing we've got a lot, of injuries which
we just Talked about kevin any camp long shots that
are likely to make the fifty three men roster right
out of, THE gate I Mean.

Speaker 7 (01:45:19):
JONATHAN edwards I guess i'll. Go there, you know he's
a corner number thirty five for those who have, been
watching undrafted out of, TWO lane a couple of guys
on OFFENSE that i. HAVE liked i don't know if
there's room. For him there's definitely not room At. White
out But coleman owen number three as a slot. Wide
out i've, liked him and. You listen bentley The Fourth
jake querry sad to admit has done an Unbelievable ulysses

(01:45:41):

Speaker 9 (01:45:58):
Yeah i JUST got i thought he gave him something
on his special teams and just kind of some pop
out of that back.

Speaker 7 (01:46:02):
If healthy goods in one. Thousand percent but this gets
into the conversation we've. Just had there are so many
of those conversations right now that you have with this.
Football team those, fifteen names by no means are all
of them. Season ending some of them should be, back
soon but you need to start crossing those names off
the list before you get to a Week.

Speaker 3 (01:46:21):
From, tuesday james it does feel like we have a
starting kicker at this point, in time does.

Speaker 10 (01:46:25):
It?

Speaker 9 (01:46:25):
NOT yeah i felt that Way before, saturday's game And
then saturday's game For A special trader was the cherry
on top FOUR kicks i believe four, for four made
the extra points, as well and he had a fifty,
six yarder which is what you didn't get last Year From.
Matt gay some of the long distance kicks were a
little bit of. An issue now again, THIS preseason i
got to see it in. Real GAMES but i feel

(01:46:47):
GOOD about i FEEL better i say after that Game About.

Speaker 7 (01:46:49):
Special trader, all right let's.

Speaker 3 (01:46:51):
Check Out The. Indiana fever they're nineteen, and sixteen a
very resilient come from behind when they were down. Twenty
one that's the low or just comeback in. Franchise history
they win in overtime ninety nine. Ninety Three sophie cunningham
goes down though in the first half what looked like
could be a pretty. Tough injury we'll find out more

(01:47:12):
after the results OF an mri later, on today, but
please please please don't let it be that three letter
injury to.

Speaker 11 (01:47:19):
The.

Speaker 9 (01:47:19):
Knee, Right YEAH like, I said i don't speculated, By
injuries so we'll find out later today what it is
and what. It means but certainly not good news for.
The theater but the positive note that they still rallied
and won.

Speaker 3 (01:47:31):
That Game kelsey mitchell scored thirty four of or thirty
eight in the second half of those keeping track At home.
Mark dykedon that's thirty four points in twenty minutes. Of
play there was a stretch of well twenty you get
dick at the, Overtime too so.

Speaker 7 (01:47:44):
There's a stretch of that game where. They didn't they, were,
like oh for eleven from three point range. And everything
so that game was looking grim and then all of,
a sudden it like flipped on. A dime i was
in Here. With eddian, i'm like how the hell did?
That happen, HE'S like i don't. Really know it was
just a very bizarre game that they just mounted this
ferocious comeback and pulled.

people that went out to. See it. Lay cared you're our,
golf guy do? You care that's the question you?

Speaker 7 (01:48:34):
TO watch, I did. I genuinely i talked to several
people that attended. THE event i was genuinely curious what the,
experience WAS and, i think, you know for the, MOST
part i think people that are especially following kind of
the casual, golf fan if you could stand, the heat
they had a good time. UP there i was up
there before the term, it STARTED and i did think
there are a lot of fan specific stuff pretty close

(01:48:56):
to the entrance that would be. Pretty active.

Speaker 3 (01:49:02):
They should be back, for, More, right, so.

Speaker 7 (01:49:04):
Yeah they're back.

number Twenty Two iowa state against Number Seventeen kansas state
and A v a Stadium. IN dublin i.

Speaker 9 (01:53:01):
Remember asking the players a couple of years ago Before
the colts Played, in germany, you know what's the most
unique place you ever played or most unique location? Like
GLOBALLY and I Believe colin grants at. The time who's Out?
The eagles he said he Played in australia for some
Game Involving. Rice university he was, in COLLEGE and i, Was,
Like wow i'm actually going to like saying you played

(01:53:23):
a football game. Down UNDER so i actually want to
follow over with some of, these guys considering they have
another international game. This year what's the most unique venue
or unique place? You've, played yeah great story a couple.
Of them one OF them i wanted to.

Speaker 7 (01:53:35):
Forget who it.

Speaker 9 (01:53:36):
Was exactly he played like they Played at finway for
a game, in COLLEGE and i, was, like wow you know.

Speaker 3 (01:53:40):
The, right yeah and there Was a penn strike Ball
At yankee stadium.

Speaker 5 (01:53:44):
To some of.

Speaker 7 (01:53:44):
These, games yeah. Unique stuff that'd. Be cool by, THE
way I Think zach keifer might join, us tomorrow he
Wrote on angelocke kind of a deep Dive with andrew
over On the athletic on really kind OF a i
don't know a little bit More from andrew on the
retirement and now BEING the gm Of The stanford cardinal

(01:54:04):
and all. Of that he said he initially thought he
was going to play until forty or forty five. Years
old You Imagine andrew luck's, My Age so i'll be
thirty six a month, From today. SEPTEMBER eighteenth I Think
andrew lucks like six days OLDER than, I am so
you imagine thirty five Year old andrew luck still slinging
it For, the colts AND here i am sticking my
hand in a, porter potty say you just put it
on a like a body wish list. Right There on,

(01:54:27):
september eighteen new Sunglasses.

Speaker 9 (01:54:28):
For kevin the timing of this story coming out is
like twisting the knife a, little bit BECAUSE obviously i
don't think it's necessarily meant to be like that. Starting up,
BUT yeah i just meant like, the UH like i
guess serendipitous nature of it, is like obviously you want
to get it out there for the, college season but
at the, same Time the colts are still trying to
decide who their, quarterback is, you know because largely in

(01:54:51):
part they don't have an answer because you left when,
you did and so that is. Fascinating stuff, but yeah
seeing THAT quote i was going to Play in solas
forty or, forty five asked the thing.

Speaker 3 (01:55:00):
A bit tell you just how much pain he must
have been in just constantly for about a three.

Speaker 7 (01:55:05):
Year period right Shared with zach that he said he
always will have guilt about how. IT ended i let my.
Teammates down i'm kind, of, curious like is that guilt
rooted and just purely walking away or when he walked
away again NOT to i guess where we are going
on this past. So apologies you know he walked away

(01:55:29):
what five days, from now like two weeks before the.
SEASON started i imagine that has to be part, of
it right if he Did In January. February, march absolutely
from a fan standpoint and from a, franchise standpoint you have.
An option players you train all off. Season, long yeah
you're getting ready for the grind of. A season it's
two weeks before the, season starts and you get.

Speaker 9 (01:55:49):
The franchise timing adds to, this THING and i think
that's why start he feels THAT though i Guess what.
I'm saying he has to a guy like angel like
he has to, feel that especially because there is no
scenario where it's better for you to wait. That long
had he just walked Away In, january february anytime sooner

(01:56:12):
than before the. SEASON starts i think there's a certain
Subsect of colts fans that might be a little more
forgiving because there are certain ones that, are, like, MAN
dude i get that you had to do this for,
your career but you kind of screwed us over because
you waited.

Speaker 3 (01:56:23):
So long it Was a saturday Night in august at
ten o'clock at night and just on the eve of
a season where an entire team had been built. Around
you and that brother was.

Speaker 7 (01:56:38):
Cold too he was such a. Good, player well and
just to add one more, to, it like, you know
he comes out of a season which he's called the
most enjoyable football season of, his life that first Year
With frank wright coming back from, the injury, you know
Last time coltson won a, playoff game, et cetera. Et
cetera so very well Done By. Zach KEIFER and i
believe he's going to join. Us tomorrow leaving, THAT game.

(01:56:58):
I was i was at. That game that Was, The. Bears,
mark yeah that was one of, those unforgettable one of those.
Unforgettable Games like i'll remember that ALWAYS because i remember
just leaving that statement it was like no one, was
chanting no one. Was cheering it was like a funeral
procesession was going on as everybody left. The stadium he
got booed leaving the field and just like what is
happening right is now his interim head Coach. At stanford

(01:57:20):
to bring the story full full, Circle here zach has
some great Details About frank reich pushing a shopping Cart
In costco back in, the Spring and stanford fired their,
Head Coach troy taylor's out of the blue from some.
Behavior Issues and andrew Calls Up frank reich, and, SAYS
hey i need you to be my interim. Head Coach

(01:57:40):
And frank, craik's like, wait what this is the weirdest
thing in. The world here's the guy that went retired.
On me he's now asking me to come be the interim.
Head coach, So yes, stanford football if you're watching them play,
This Year ANDREW luxer Gm And frank reik's are interim,
head coach.

Speaker 3 (01:57:54):
And they've made it very clear that he's the interim and.
One coach he is not going to be the permanent.
Head coach they both.

Speaker 11 (01:57:59):
Talked.

Speaker 3 (01:57:59):
About, correct wow crazy world if he's thirty five, already, though, Right.

Speaker 7 (01:58:05):
Yes Andrew, luck yeah thirty five, years, old. Man crazy
we still have a caller online unless we want to
get to it on the. Other, side okay this is
not this is not this is not. An, impressionist uh
This is ross who is On. TEAM kevin i believe
when it Comes to. Florida, Potty, oh.

Speaker 3 (01:58:23):
Ross what do?

Speaker 9 (01:58:24):
You, have.

Speaker 13 (01:58:26):

you in any, trouble TODAY but i just, Wanted.

Speaker 3 (01:58:31):
To oh somebody's gonna get me in trouble. Every day
i'm used.

Speaker 5 (01:58:33):
To it.

Speaker 13 (01:58:33):
It's, good, yeah, well yeah you can just Call me.

Speaker 3 (01:58:37):
Art now, SO.

Speaker 13 (01:58:39):
Anyway i have to use public restrooms quite a Bit
because i'm a contractor on the utility all Throughout, northern
INDIANA and i have a vest on most of, the
TIME and i was forced to use a speedway like
the gas station. SPEEDWAY restroom i leaned over forgetting that
my phone was in my chest pocket, and it, you

(01:59:02):
know Looked like halliburton at the end of, the game
right in the center of, the TOILET and i had
to make the decision to go ahead and try to
get it out.

Speaker 3 (01:59:13):
Of there, and.

Speaker 13 (01:59:17):
Yeah BUT luckily i am one that tends to just
go To like Meyer or walmart and get a prepackaged
phone and SWITCH my sim card every couple, Of YEARS
so i just went ahead and. Did that, BUT yeah
i couldn't just leave it, in THERE so i had
to DO what i had, to do AND luckily i
knew who used it right before. That happened, so.

Speaker 7 (01:59:38):
Yeah that's an endorsement.

Speaker 5 (01:59:40):
Or not you.

Speaker 7 (01:59:40):
Appreciate it, Hat tip?

Speaker 3 (01:59:42):
Thank?

Speaker 7 (01:59:42):
You now would? You now it sounds like you guys
are okay With what, ross did but you think the
sunglasses just no.

Speaker 3 (01:59:48):
Ct in nashville says he's got seven hundred and fifty
Dollars prescription oakley's and he just take The l well.

Speaker 7 (01:59:54):
That's insane well he's, got, MONEY damn i, mean gosh
but it, also throws and.

Speaker 3 (02:00:00):

shower once. A, week.

Speaker 7 (02:00:04):
Look JUST because i don't shower before, the show made
a shower once. A week These Are jeff's. BURNER accounts, i,
mean GUESS so i had two showers that MAY actually.

Speaker 9 (02:00:11):
I got Time for burner Accounts There jeff burner's. Account taking,

all these comments are in our. Text chain he Found that.

Speaker 7 (02:00:20):

Sausage fest. Saturday night, And yeah i'm trying To Help
max bowen get his underwear down His. OLD max, I Know.

(02:00:45):
Max bowen. Next thing you, know, what again you're just
adding color to the to the story here as Every
Great james boyd piece has up on the ATHLETICS and
i come home and, you know after the glasses, GO
under i didn't put them. Back on just to add
a little. MORE context i did watch. Him thoroughly they
were Submerged UNDER sud's i washed my hands probably five.
SIX times.

Speaker 12 (02:01:06):
I.

Speaker 3 (02:01:06):
GET it i understand the.

Speaker 7 (02:01:07):
WHOLE thing i left hand if, anyone's gearious so if
you ever shake my, right hand it will not be.

Speaker 3 (02:01:11):
That one there. WE go i would like to think
that there's a lot of sanitizing and hand washing between
then and anytime soon someone shakes. Your hand so, all
right we'll put a bow on. That one we'll talk
a little bit more about the weekend that was in.
The world this sport clean Them like friday Night. Into,
saturday kevin. ZERO chance i think more than anything you
brought this up so, MANY times i think you're bothered
by the fact that you did.

Speaker 7 (02:01:32):
IT well i consider you, GUYS friends i consider you
guys as. SUPPORT group i consider our listening audience people
that are very close and dear to. My heart and
so It was wayne on ME and i wanted to

Hundred percent, All.

Continue The Fan. Morning show in a moment at ninety
three five and, ONE seven I thought i was Hiding
at jameson preparing my state of. Physical discomfort this morning
is getting through for. Some people feel free.

Speaker 7 (02:02:03):
To elaborate you just.

Speaker 3 (02:02:05):
Told me there were people writing in saying they heard
me moan coming back into. A.

Speaker 9 (02:02:09):
Segment, CORRECT yeah i mean for those of you who,
Don't know jeff will certainly moan through some of these.
COMMERCIAL breaks i don't know if, IT'S pain i don't
know if. IT'S pleasure i don't know what. It is
it's definitely. Not pleasure live a masochist.

Speaker 7 (02:02:21):
Over here it's a Little bit oh read the Name.
Girth brooks, oh yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:02:29):
See if they did that, For you marcus thought that

Huh huh i've seen these, these uh these these lines
which his name has been changed in our.

Speaker 3 (02:02:40):
Text line oh, my goodness gracious see it's that it's one.

Speaker 7 (02:02:44):
Of them that's what the people are. Talking about.

Speaker 3 (02:02:48):
That may have been more discomfort with the. Subject matter
i'm not sure. Either way we are rolling here On
the fan morning show On a, monday MORNING and i
GUESS we i would like to think we're just a
little bit less or a little bit more than twenty
four hours away from maybe knowing who the starting quarterback
for game number one For the colts is going.

Speaker 7 (02:03:05):
To, be yeah, we'll see, you know there's part of
me that. Thinks Maybe shane stiken TELLS the qbs Today
the cults are back at their own facility and training camp.
Is over they will have open practices though to, the
media not, to fans but to The, Media, Tuesday, wednesday
thursday kind of a regular season. Script, week obviously their
preseason Game is Saturday, in cincinnati not On, a sunday

(02:03:27):

normal wednesday regular season Week Ie shane stike, and media
the media would happen tomorrow a little after. Eleven o'clock so,

Immediate i'm looking all, Day long i'll probably be refreshing
my social media to find out if there's any Update
On sophie cunningham and her injury that took her out
of the.

Speaker 9 (02:04:03):
Game, yesterday yeah certainly something to keep an eye on for,
this Team the fever team that continues to have to
figure out how to survive without some. Key players so
that's a, significant loss And As tony east pointed out
earlier throughout, the show that's their fourth ball handler to
go down. This season you just hope it's not for
any stended period.

Speaker 3 (02:04:21):
Of, time man she's become just, a sensation not just,
league wide but there are a Lot Of sophie cunningham
fans throughout the country.

Speaker 9 (02:04:30):
These, DAYS yeah i would say It's more FEVER based
i don't know if other fan Bases Love, sophie cunningham
but she certainly has built up some rapport Here in
indianapolis With, the fever and because Of the fever fan
base just being kind of a national and, global market
it's kind of been reciprocated on that.

Speaker 3 (02:04:47):
Level, too yeah and you know there are people that
online that were, complaining, about Heh the fever getting beat
up by other teams all. Season long that looked like
at least it happened on a basketball play where a
girl was kind of Falling, Her.

Speaker 9 (02:05:01):
Yeah i've given my opinion. ON that i think that
that's a. Week excuse it was an unfortunate play. For
her but Say the fever again beat up any more
than any other team in, THE league i think are
people who just don't watch a lot of.

Speaker 7 (02:05:14):
Other games, QUITE frankly.

Speaker 3 (02:05:15):
I think the bigger problem for most people this year
has just BEEN the wnba refereing officiating. In, General yeah
i'm on the RECORD saying i think the league is just.
Too physical so they are off Again, Until friday so
