One of the reasons why I love Progressive House so much, is that, it tends to create a space that’s open to interpretation, waiting to be filled with imagery and ideas from your own imagination. Whether it’s a breathtaking landscape, an other worldly vista, or even a fractal, hypnotic mind trip into the vastness of the universe itself, Progressive House has a thoughtful, pensive nature that can transport you to another state of mind. The dictionary defines pensive as “engaged in, involving, or reflecting deep or serious thought.” On an emotional level, it often serves as a method of escapism, invoking a variety of moods from sexy and laid back, to fierce and energetic, at least, that’s my take on it.
