Disciplines are a mixed bag. I think they've kept me from going lower than normal, but they're also the standards at which I'm failing the most.

James shares a humorous update about meeting former colleagues at a bar. He discusses the challenges of podcasting while feeling sad and the importance of sharing the reality of depression. He credits positive changes in his life for making things better. Plus talk about struggles with depression, an upcoming eye surgery, a family celebration, thoughts on books, TV shows, movies, and video games, plus a little inspiration.
In this episode, I talk about my experience at Narthex Con and the unexpected turn of events recording ShiftStorm with my friend Chris Cowan. I also share my experience with eye surgery and the impact it had on my vision. I discuss the importance of speaking in wisdom and love, and the realization that suffering can make us better people.

It's been three weeks since my bariatric sleeve surgery and it's time for some humorous updates. You wouldn't think it but pureed food can be tasty. NeiR: Automata won't let me save. I've lost enough weight to be able to do things I haven't been able to do in a while.
I'm two weeks out from my bariatric surgery so let's talk about transitioning from my liquid-only diet to my pureed diet. I'm talking bananas, mashed potatoes, baby food and more. A sweet high-school bacon bit memory. I was on narcotics in the hospital and saw things I'll never see again. Enjoy!
Yay 200 episodes! (Finally!)
