Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hello Habit Mechanics
.
It's Dr John Finn here.
I hope you're having a greatweek so far.
Today I want to talk aboutAugust and making August great.
The AI story impact continuesto grow.
Just noticed in the last day orso how microsoft shares and
(00:27):
meta shares have reallyoutperforming are really
outperforming expectations, andthese are two of the drivers of
ai technology.
So that tells you about the youknow market confidence in these
technologies and how they arechanging pretty much everything
(00:47):
about how we live, how we work, and I know for many people,
august is a time of reflection,uh, time to sort of stop and
take a holiday, or people mayhave just come back from holiday
and maybe just be thinkingabout what they've reflected on.
(01:08):
And people are starting to planfor September, and certainly
many people I know they reallywant to make September.
Uh, it's almost like theJanuary.
Right, it's a bit of a resettime to to work on yourself and
do all those things that youalways wanted to do, or to fix
the little bumps in your health, your happiness, your
(01:31):
performance that are holding youback.
What we found over the last fewyears is that people have had
these great intentions forSeptember but they've failed and
often, you know, they'regetting into the middle of
October before they can start toactually do the kind of things
(01:54):
or start doing the kind ofthings that they want to do, and
then, before they know it, it'searly, it's December and you
know Christmas, et cetera, is onthe horizon.
So what I want to do in Augustis I want to help people to just
put the foundational habits inplace so that, when you hit
(02:15):
September, you've got the verybest chance of being at your
best.
So this month, every month, inour AI era leadership
accelerator, we have a monthlymission.
This month, we're going toreally double down on getting
our brains working really well, and that means focusing on
better sleep, better diet, better exercise, because they're
(02:37):
the core ingredients forpositive brain function.
So that's what we're going tobe thinking about.
So we have a core tool that weuse, called the des swap um.
We're going to run some liveevents.
I just have that as the focusnow.
This doesn't mean that we haveto be um, living like monks in
(02:57):
uh, august.
It just means if we're moreaware of how we are sleeping,
the kind of stuff we're puttinginto our bodies and how we're
exercising or not, then we'vegot a better chance of doing it
a little bit better.
(03:17):
Or if we decide you know whatI'm going to have this week
where I let my hair down, justcompletely switch off, relax.
Even then, if we're checking inwith our diet, exercise and
sleep, we're going to feel lessguilty about doing that, but
(03:38):
also, just the habit of checkingin is going to then live past
that week or two week period sothat when we get back into
wanting to get back into ournormal routines, then we have
that foundational habit of justpaying attention to those
(03:59):
foundational factors for goodbrain function, good brain
health, that is, sleep, diet,exercise.
So that's what we're going tofocus on in there um, ai era
leadership accelerator, which isour monthly membership.
In there.
We post every day um, so wehave loads of our pretty much
our entire back catalogue of oftools, um that are available,
(04:24):
and then we have a structuredprogram over the month to help
people thrive and be at theirbest.
And why I think this is moreimportant than ever is I've just
seen in the last week someamazing AI tools.
I mean, they are unbelievableand what they can do is
(04:50):
phenomenal, and I think whatwe're going to start to see in
September onwards is the rolloutof more and more of these very
sector-specific technologies.
These very sector-specifictechnologies.
I saw one yesterday from a very, very big global marketing
(05:13):
agency that is like an LLM and aGen2KI plugged together
specifically for marketing andit's basically a marketing
agency in an app.
I mean it's phenomenal and it'sa baby, and these things are
going to get better and betterand better.
My point is is that we're onlygoing to be valuable in our own
lives, to our businesses, to thebusinesses we work for, if we
(05:35):
can get into those high chargebrain states, and the foundation
of doing that is good recharge, good sleep, good diet, good
exercise.
So I actually think this Augustperiod is one of the most
important that we've had for ourhealth, for our happiness, for
our performance, because as wego into September, october,
november, these competitortechnologies to the things that
(05:58):
we get paid for every day aregoing to start to be scaled up.
But we can become ai proof ifwe keep building and developing
our brain state intelligence, and the foundation of that is a
(06:19):
good recharge, good recovery, and that's what we're going to
focus on in the aiR acceleratorthis month.
And the guy in the tractor isjust going past me spraying the
pavement with I don't know whathe's spraying the pavement with
doesn't look to be particularlyeffective.
To be honest with you, that'swhat the noise is, okay.
(06:41):
Thank you so much for listening.
I'm not in a rural area, by theway.
I'm in pretty much the citycentre of one of the biggest
cities in the UK, so that's abit odd, but anyway.
So, if you wanted, if you're amember of the AIRA Accelerator,
then we'll see you in there.
If you want to sign up, you'llsee some emails from us and I'll
(07:03):
see you in there.
If you want to sign up, you'llsee some emails from us and I'll
put a link beneath the podcastso you can do that.
And, yeah, looking forward toworking with you and supporting
with you and, as ever, if youhave any questions, just let us
know.
You're only ever one brainstate habit away.
