I started doing YouTube videos in August 2017 about being an INFJ, and how it took me 30-odd years of journaling, self-reflection, and self-actualization, to get to this level of understanding and love with myself. I'm an INFJ and I'm here to show you through my podcast that you are not alone, you are not crazy, you are not autistic, or a sociopath. You are just misunderstood, and the more you realize that there are others like you out there, the less alone and confused you are going to feel. You are here to fulfill a great purpose. The purpose of the INFJ is diverse, beautiful, and unicorn-like, just like you. INFJs don't like the idea of proving their love using big gestures. No writing our love in the sky or kissing on the big screen at the football game. It's the small everyday stuff that we think really shows our love for you.

It's hard to see an INFJ you love moving towards self-destruction, self-sabotage, and doom in such a clear fashion. But all you can do for them is be there when they call upon you. Do not interfere too much. Otherwise, they will slam that door and you will have no contact with them.

INFJs spend too much time in their heads and not enough in their bodies. So that's why grounding tools like the one I speak about in this episode are so useful to us. Use this tool as much as you need, my friends. There are no side effects.

INFJs need to learn that social battery drain is inevitable for them. Our social batteries are just so minuscule. So we need tools to deal with it, rather than bemoaning it.

INFJs want to care about humanity and believe in their goodness. But then something happens that ruins and dashes our hope to the ground. And then we build up that hope again. Thus, the cycle continues.

I used to worry all the time (and sometimes still do) that I was not on the right path. But as an older INFJ, I want to tell everyone younger than me, that you ARE on the right path. You will be surprised when you are older, how much you are on the right path. Really! Truly!

One of the worst things INFJs do to themselves is believe they are all alone without any incoming help. It is the worst way we sabotage ourselves. We need to look up and see that people are willing to help, even if we aren't willing to accept it.

As I said in the last episode, there are many reasons INFJs would be successful in an apocalypse, but it could all be undone in a moment because of our poor social skills and low social battery. What do you think? Why wouldn't you be successful in an apocalyptic situation?

So I have been thinking about whether I would survive a doomsday scenario if it happened. In some ways, I wouldn't (more on that in the next episode). But in some ways, I would be a natural at it, considering I'm an INFJ.

INFJs have a hard time being vulnerable, more so than other types. We are so fearful of trusting others with our innermost thoughts and feelings. Essentially, we lack that emotional courage that others find easy.

INFJs have a lot more potential than others around them, but because we spend all our time in doubt and anxiety, we aren't able to achieve this potential. We undervalue ourselves and underestimate our immense potential. It's quite sad, actually.

INFJs go through cycles or phases where they get obsessed with a certain item or situation and then lose interest after a while. We can direct this obsessive nature towards good by using the technique I suggest in the episode.

INFJs spend a lot of their time in their heads, in their imagination, in their dream worlds. So they have to create systems and automate things, so they don't end up missing payments or other important deadlines because they are distracted.

INFJs are quite aware when others are manipulating them, and that covert behavior is annoying to us. If you are going to use us, be direct and honest about it. Don't try to use us in a covert fashion, please.

INFJs don't know how to deal with people who are indirect, dishonest, or two-faced. We don't know if our intuition is telling us the truth about the person. So we would rather people be honest with us, even if that means dealing with rude and antagonistic people.

INFJs have difficulty telling the truth in certain situations because we worry about confrontations, arguments, or discussions. We don't want all that. It's easier sometimes to say a little white lie and get out of the situation that way.
