(01:02):
Hi there everyone, it is Suzy, back with a continuation of the show
about the laws of success forleadership and entrepreneurship.
And just to recap, I amTalking about the 12 laws of the
universe and how you canharness them to improve your business
and your life.
We covered laws one to fouralready in the previous episode.
And so let's pick up now withwhere we left off with law number

(01:22):
five.
And law number five is the lawof inspired action.
And this law is the one I liketo call the reason by behind all
of the goal setting.
This law says that you mustactively pursue your goals and dreams.
And it is one that many peoplekind of get wrong.
And here is why.
I'm sure that you will haveall heard of vision boards and thinking
positively.
And many people set themselvesup with a vision board and attempt

(01:45):
to think their way to successby constantly thinking positively.
Yet this doesn't work.
It's not enough sticking somepictures on the wall or on a Pinterest
board and sent, then sayinglots of gratitudes and positive affirmations,
or telling yourself you cannever ever think negatively is unrealistic.
Like, who can do that?
Like literally no one.
You're going to have sometimeswhere you feel anger and frustrated

(02:05):
and you've got to let that gothrough your system.
So just constantly thinkingpositively doesn't get you there.
The law of inspired action iswhy you have to actually take action
on things and you have to knowwhen to take action.
So when you're in a realnegative place, that's not when you're
going to want to take actionaround your business, but when you're
in a better place.
This is about when youactually take action, rather than

(02:25):
just putting ideas on a visionboard, you have to actually take
the steps and take the action.
Now, you don't need to takehuge actions, just baby steps towards
the things that you want in life.
So, for example, if you've gota million dollars a year on your
vision board, or a millionpounds a year on your vision board,
well, that's great.
That's great from asubconscious point of view.
You are telling yoursubconscious to look for ways to

(02:46):
make 1 million.
But if you add this to the lawof inspired action and pursue it,
you're going to have more success.
For example, trusting theprocess and setting the vision is
one thing, but then leaninginto some of the doing energy to
actually take action.
Not just always being in themore feminine receiving energy, but
actually doing things to take action.
So thinking about how you canshow up in alignment with making

(03:08):
money is part of the how thatmight be.
500 courses sold at £2,000 each.
That's one way you can make amillion and then you can take action
to work out what the businesswould be that would make you that
money.
Or a thousand courses at 1000each is another way.
It isn't a lot of work tothink about all of the different
options, but taking inspiredaction, usually in the form of baby
steps in the right direction,is so important.

(03:30):
And it's those baby steps thatcompound over time.
And then all of a suddenyou've achieved your goal.
Except all of a sudden isn'treally all of a sudden.
It's the compounding effect ofall of the smaller steps that you
took each and every day to getyou to that place where it looked
like it was all of a sudden, okay, law number six.
That is the law of perpetualtransmutation of energy, or the law

(03:51):
of flux.
This law states thateverything in the universe has a
constantly changing orfluctuating energy.
And that makes complete sense.
If you look inwards and seeyou again, your energy doesn't stay
const constant.
Your emotional state doesn'tstay constant.
You change and you oftenchange without wanting to or without
realizing why.
And if you combine this lawwith the law of vibration and the

(04:12):
law of attraction, you canstart to see it in action.
For example, have you everwoken up in the morning and you've
been super happy and superpositive and full of beans and just
ready to go, and you just feelthat energy?
You're in a good mood, you'rein a good place, like you got out
of bed on the right side.
Now, if you are in that greatmood with that positive vibration.
But you walk into the kitchento grab your coffee and your partner
is in a really foul mood, oryour toddler is having a mass temper

(04:34):
tantrum, or your teenager isfull of angry back chat, what does
that do to your positive energy?
It typically depletes it, right?
And at that point, subconsciously, something happens.
You either manage to maintainyour frequency or your energy as
the higher vibration, orperhaps your energy spreads to the
other person, or you go downwith them like a sinking ship.
And it's this latter one thatyou have to watch.

(04:57):
Having the capacity to keepyour own frequency and your own vibration
despite the tornadoes going onaround you, is how you build your
inner core and your inner strength.
And it's what one that I haveto watch really frequently in my
own home.
Because my home environmentisn't that easy.
I have teenage sons and stresslike everyone else.
For me, it was actually inlearning to build up my emotional
resilience that things startedto really change.

(05:19):
And putting in tools in placeto help me with my emotional resilience
by learning that I can usethese tools to help me with choice
around how I show up and howmy energy is affected by the things
around me was such a gamechanger in my business.
You see, if you have peoplearound you who are very negative,
very whiny, very frustratedthe entire time, well, usually the
strongest energy wins, especially if you've got no inner

(05:41):
tools to work with.
And the strongest energy isusually the lowest frequency.
So in my family, if I applythat to my situation, if I'm not
careful, I can get sucked intothe lower energy.
So my role becomes aboutstaying steady in my own energy.
And usually a higher energyvibration wins over a lower one if
you can do it with intention.
Conversely, if you don't useintention, you can just end up stuck

(06:03):
being sucked into the lowerenergy and it kind of wins out.
So hopefully you see a littlebit about how that works.
And now you know this, it'sdown to you to start to use your
thoughts and your actions andyour mindset to keep you not only
in a positive place in a in ahigher frequency place, but also
not allow other people to pullyou down.
How you show up matters.
How you decide to use yourpower and your frequency and your

(06:25):
influence around other people matters.
Now that doesn't mean, and Ireally want to keep emphasizing this,
it doesn't mean you need to goout there like a Duracell bunny and
fake being positive bounc youlike you've just consumed Your body
weight in Haribo Sweets.
No, it doesn't.
That's not what I'm talking about.
It's more subtle because itneeds to be sustainable and it needs
to be real and it needs to benot exhausting.

(06:46):
There is a lot I could talkabout here, but for today's show,
take away the importance ofunderstanding the fluctuating energy
in everything, including yourthoughts, and those thoughts affecting
your actions, and thoseactions affecting your business and
your income and your life as a result.
Okay, let's go on to the nextlaw, which is law number seven and
the law of cause and effect.
And this is a nice easy one.

(07:08):
Most people actually do learnabout this as children and that is
what you do.
Your actions result in theeffects or the events that you see
in your life and in your business.
However, what happens is thatmost people are impatient, especially
in today's world of same daydelivery on Amazon, on email and
this world we have ofimmediate responses.

(07:29):
So you might take certainactions, but then when you don't
see an immediate effect, youassume it has not worked.
And that is where the problem is.
I've seen this so often in theentrepreneurial space and I've done
it myself as well, wheresomeone might be taking steps to
build their business, forexample, building an audience, then
they launch something a littleearly so they don't get so many results.
Or they set a goal for, forexample, a hundred sales and they

(07:52):
get 20.
And instead of being delightedand happy that they took the action
that is the first step on thecause and effect path to results.
They say, oh, it fail, itdidn't work, and then they just give
up.
No, no, no, no.
This is what you can't do withthis law.
You often can't see theeffects straight away, but they do
come.
You put out the energy andthat creates a ripple.

(08:13):
And if that is a positive andintentional ripple, then you take
that action forward using theother laws, keeping your vibration
and frequency high over asustained period, not all of the
time, but the best that youcan do.
And that will then cause theresults in due course.
However, if you go and give upand go into the negative, oh well,
it failed, it failed strai.
It stops the energy totallydead and then nothing happens.

(08:36):
That is really the originbehind the statement that the only
true failure is to give up and stop.
And as somebody who hasstopped their business after selling,
albeit it wasn't reallystopping the business, I sold it,
but then I didn't start a new one.
It's actually so much harderto rebuild that momentum.
I can tell you firsthand thatstopping and restarting is way, way
harder than keeping going andjust reducing things.

(08:56):
One of the hardest steps everfor me has been coming back into
the business space after sucha long time off.
And I speak about this and theimpact of this a lot more in the
Secret episode of the podcast, the first secret episode.
So if you've not downloadedthat already, head on over to susiebelmont.com
podcast and you can see thelink to access the secret episode
at the top of the page.
My honest advice here though,is that if you feel like you want

(09:19):
to give up and stop, don'tslow down.
Instead, slow down, pivot, take a break from socials.
Remember, you don't have toalways consistently be there all
the flipping time.
You're not a robot.
You can actually take a breakbecause starting over is a lot, lot
harder than just taking abreak and then reigniting things.
And if you want to have a bitmore process on reigniting things,

(09:39):
have a listen to episode sevenwhere I talk about that whole process
of kind of moving forward whenyou're not seeing results.
Okay, moving on to law numbereight, and this is the law of compensation.
Or in a more easy tounderstand expression, you reap what
you sow.
What you put out is what youget back.
And so if you put out badstuff, then expect back bad stuff.

(10:01):
I like to think of this law inthe social media world.
You often hear about theimportance of engagement and invisibility
on platforms, and for sureboth matter.
I know when I sold my businessin 2020 and I took that time away
from socials, I didn't show upposting much on socials with intention.
My intention was not to be visible.
It was a very conscious movenot to be visible because I was taking
a sabbatical from work.

(10:22):
And then as I've taken areturn, as I've returned into the
world, I've taken a reallyslow approach to socials.
But that will build over time.
I know that when I am slowlyappearing and I'm not there on socials,
I'm going to make less salesthan when I'm appearing there much
of the time.
But I'm also balancing variousother things in like my studies,
my MSc studies, and so on.
So it's intentional what I'm doing.

(10:44):
But assuming you are actuallyworking on your business with intention
to grow as much as possible, your full focus is on your business.
Then you find yourself sayingthings like no one buys my stuff
or no one leaves me atestimonial or no one comments on
my posts.
Instead of looking outwardsand blaming, look inwards.
What are you doing?
What are you putting out?

(11:04):
Are you leaving comments onother people's posts?
Are you buying courses?
Are you leaving other people testimonials?
Are you seeking tocollaborate, not compete?
Nope.
Well, then don't expect to receive.
If you don't give, what youput out is what you get back.
One of the biggest lessons Ilearned in running an online business
is the more I gave, the more I received.
And that doesn't mean you haveto give out everything for free.

(11:26):
That doesn't mean you justneed to constantly give.
But by giving to others, bycommenting on their posts, by engaging
and putting out some freecontent, I started to receive back
and it took a little while forthat traction to happen.
But it did happen.
I put this podcast out forfree as it helps others.
I give and under the law ofcompensation I receive in return.
As long as I'm open to thatand I allow it to happen, it doesn't

(11:48):
happen immediately and I'mokay with that.
I trust that I'm working on myfrequency in line with what feels
right to me and in due course, especially with the compound effect
that will pay off.
And I absolutely have proof ofthis working.
I think I've mentioned alreadybefore, in this episode or a previous
one, that most of my one toone clients have found me through
my free content, through my podcast.
They listen, they get to knowme a little bit more, and you know

(12:10):
who you are if you're listening.
You got to know me and you'vealways told me this.
People have always told methis when they've come through.
They get to know me a littlebit more, then they reach out when
there are programs for sale.
This obviously makes it eveneasier because you give people ways
to pay you.
But even without that, there'sstill the law of compensation that
is playing out universally inthe background.
Honestly, I really believethat if I had stuck a price tag on

(12:31):
every single thing that I didfor the last decade, I would not
have had the same success thatI did in my business.
I've always operated on amodel that has some free content
because for me this works onso many different levels.
Even those who can't afford mypaid content can bear benefit from
this podcast and those peoplemight at some point be able to then
afford the paid for content orthey might tell their friends about

(12:52):
the podcast and their friendsmay purchase.
So it's always a win win for me.
But above all it gives peopleA way just to get to know you, to
find out if they resonate withwith you.
Like for me, you're listeningand you're thinking, do I like Suzy
or is she not my kind of thing?
And that is really importantas part of the overall process of
giving and receiving.
Okay, law number nine, whichis the law of relativity, this law

(13:13):
says that although you tend tocompare everything in the world,
actually everything is neutral.
Everything in the universe, Ishould say, everything is neutral.
What you perceive as better orworse is down to your perspective
and your perception.
Now this is quite a juicy lawwhen it comes to your inside out
journey because if you findyourself scrolling on socials and
falling into comparisonitis, which we all do at times, including

(13:36):
me, consider this law.
What do you think the otherperson is doing that makes them better?
Why do you think they're better?
Maybe you think they have itall together.
Maybe you think they've madeloads of money, maybe you think,
oh, they're winning awards andthat makes them better.
Maybe you think that they'refurther ahead, maybe you just think
that they're really good at itand you can't beat that.
But your views when you dothis are all based on your own perspective

(13:59):
and your own perception, whichwill be skewed by your own self doubt
and your own fears.
And if you haven't listened toepisode eight of the podcast, then
go and listen to that one asthat will really help you understand
this law a little bit better.
It talks about perception andhow you form judgments in the world
and how you how you process information.
An external third party mayprefer you because of all of kinds

(14:22):
of number of reasons, allsorts of different things that make
people warm to you.
And it's often very based onenergy as I speak about a lot.
But you can't necessarily seethat people who like me will prefer
me to someone else for noconcrete reason.
That I can see people who hateme will prefer someone else for no
concrete reason.
This is why you need to focuson building your tribe with your
business.

(14:42):
People who like you, peoplewho resonate with you, people who
warm to what you're doing.
And so much of that is basedon feelings and energetics.
People will sense whether youare for them.
They will use their gut feeling.
Try it now, test it on me orsomeone else.
If your gut feeling is youlike me, you want to work with me,
you want to listen to thepodcast, you will follow me and you
will listen.
If your gut feeling is youprefer someone else and you prefer

(15:04):
their podcast, you will followThem and listen and it's in your
gut, that feeling.
And this is not something thatyou can can ever control.
It's not something that I canever control either.
It's just about you as abusiness owner.
Finding your people andfinding your people becomes easier
and easier when you just showup as yourself.
And that's not always easy.
Sometimes it takes practicejust getting into finding out who
you are.

(15:25):
For me, coming back into thisworld after a long break, there's
a bit of a journey now of reexploring how am I showing up as
myself.
And sometimes I feel like Inail it and sometimes I feel like
I don't quite.
It's a work in progress.
And so who you are also mightadjust and amend as you move forward,
as you get older, as you getmore confident in just being yourself.
And then that will attractdifferent people to perhaps the people

(15:47):
that were attracted when youweren't fully being yourself.
And you've got to allow that.
You've got to allow that comeand go ness of everything.
It's a bit of a revolving door.
Sometimes you are not theexact same person as you were when
you were 20.
You change, you gainexperience and then you adjust.
But where your adjustments arenot in line with your true self,
this is where the issues startto form and then you start to feel

(16:07):
it in your gut.
So returning this to the pointthat was making and knowing that
everything in your world isneutral, this is why there's no need
for you to really freak outwhen someone leaves your mailing
list or doesn't buy your stuff initially.
They're either not your avataror they don't yet know you well enough.
So they're not going to buy inat the moment.
But you've just got to respondto that by keeping being you.
Keep being you and beconfident in who you are.

(16:29):
Because the people that aremeant for you will appear.
If you haven't got them yet, they will appear.
The more you show up asyourself, the more you will resonate
with those people and you willbe like Marmite.
You will have people that fallaway as well when you're being your
true self because you can'tpossibly have everyone like you.
It just doesn't work like that.
You are unique and only youcan do the things the way you would
do them.
And that's where you want tolean into it.

(16:51):
And this in itself is the veryreason you don't want to copy someone
else.
Because you are stripping awaythe you in your business when you
do that.
And it just doesn't work inthe long term, you might be inspired
by someone else to get you started.
There's nothing wrong with that.
We've all been there.
But once you start, it is asmuch about letting go of what you've
done already in order to movefully into your own lane and fully

(17:12):
into the personification ofall of you.
Do what works for you and begrateful for what you have, even
if it's small at the moment.
And if you're ungrateful, it'susually because you are comparing
to someone else and you'reseeing that their thing is bigger
in your perception andtherefore you're not happy with your
thing.
But actually come back to yourthing and say, this is great because
it's uniquely mine and this isall mine.
And maybe it's small, but itwill grow.

(17:33):
If you stay focused on that.
It doesn't matter what theother person is doing, because remember,
it's all relative.
So the only real big takeawayI would give you from this rule is
you just need to keep focusedon building you, understanding you,
turning up as the real you, understanding who you are.
And your people will appearand then they will hang around.
Okay, law number 10, which isthe law of polarity, and this is

(17:56):
the law that says everythingin life has two sides or an opposite.
So good versus bad, or goodversus evil, love versus fear, hot
versus cold, up versus down, and so on.
And a great way to use thislaw is when you are struggling in
your business.
For example, let's say you'rehaving a really hard time getting
your first online businessgoing, getting your ideas clear in
your mind.

(18:16):
Well, contrast and dualityalways brings clarity.
So instead of focusing on whatyou're struggling with, what you
want for your business, focuson the duality on the other side.
What is it that you don't want?
This will then bring theclarity because it will show you
the opposite of what you want.
All you then have to do ismatch it up with the opposing side.

(18:37):
It's like two sides of a coin.
And then you'll start to seewhat you do want.
So whenever you're strugglingin your business, you can use this
law of polarity and say, okay,I really don't know what I'm trying
to do here.
And you can ask, well, what amI trying to not do?
And that will then give theclarity on what you are trying to
do.
A line that I often use and Ilike a lot in coaching is to tell
my clients, if you want toknow why you do something, then don't

(19:00):
do it and see what happens, because that's where your wounds
are.
That's where you really startto understand what's going on.
Another example here would bethat if you don't want to struggle
exchanging time for moneyanymore, then what you do want is
a business that eliminates thetime for money exchange, which suggests
that online courses andmemberships might be what you're
looking for, where you cansell to many people at once.

(19:20):
That's certainly how I made alot of money in my first business,
but it's not where I started.
I started out 1 to 1, then 1to 2, then 1 to 6, then 1 to 8 in
face to face trainings.
And then when I reachedcapacity and when I knew that I had
a business model that workedand I moved it online, it then became
to one to a thousand or onetwo, actually more than a thousand,
sometimes one to threethousand at once.

(19:42):
I was still doing the samekind of work, but it was doing it
in a different way.
So take this law and use it asa tip for when you're struggling
to work out how you want to doyour business, how you want to frame
it, and so on.
Work out what you don't wantto feel, and then do the opposite
to that.
You can also do this with your emotions.
If you're feeling an emotionor you you don't like the emotion,

(20:02):
then say, well, what is theemotion that I want to feel?
And then what's the opposite?
And where am I in that?
For example, if you feeljealous in your emotions, then you
may say, I don't want to feelangry or judgmental of others.
So what is it you do want to be?
That would probably be caring, collaborative, calm.
And once you know that, onceyou know what the opposite is, you
can set yourself on that path instead.

(20:24):
Often the opposite of whatmany entrepreneurs and leaders want
is the opposite of struggle, which is ease.
So schedule in some time inyour diary and ask yourself, what
would my business and my lifelook like if I just let it be easy?
That's a great question to askyourself over and over again when
things get difficult.
Well, what would it look likeif I didn't let it be difficult,

(20:44):
if I let it be easy?
And that opens up newcreativity and new ideas.
Okay, law number 11, this isthe law of perpetual motion or rhythm.
And this law says that cyclesare part of the law of the universe.
So we have season, spring, summer, autumn, winter.
They're all cyclical, and theycome around in nature over and over,
over.
Now, as a woman you will knowabout monthly cycles for sure, and

(21:07):
you will know that you will goaround a cycle which affects your
mood.
But if you've ever tried totrack this with a mood app, which
is what me and one of myclients did, you will see that everything
is cyclical.
In my case, I kind of know, orI did know before the perimenopause
exactly what days of the monthI would want to retreat and not be
so visible.
These are the days when Iensure that I don't have many client
facing things happening.

(21:28):
I'm not doing meetups and so on.
And that makes it easier forme to manage the rhythm and the motion
and the perpetual motion in mylife life.
The perimenopause added alittle bit of an extra dimension
to this.
Not such a great dimension attimes, but the cycles that once served
me well and which I understoodreally, really, really well, all
started changing.
And so I've had to start toremap this process.

(21:48):
And for, for a while, it haskind of felt that all the wheels
have come off the car a littlebit and I was a little bit like,
oh my God, I don't know what'shappening anymore.
If you know, you know, youknow what I'm talking about.
And I'm also not going to lie here.
This is quite hard at times.
There is often a lot to breakdown before there is a breakthrough.
And sometimes in my own world,I've had to stop myself and just
notice the rhythm and thepatterns and analyze and say what's

(22:10):
happening here with the rhythmand the cycle in my life and how's
that impacting my business?
Taking it upper level.
I also work with areflexologist and she does specific
work on my feet, which affectsthe neural pathways in my brain based
on my cycles.
And this helps me rebalancethings when I get out of sorts.
And my gosh, it really, really works.
So I highly recommendreflexology if that's something that

(22:30):
you are interested inexploring the law of rhythm.
Them here is to help you gain perspective.
Nothing is permanent.
This too will pass is a famousquote, and it's so true.
Nothing, whether good or bad, stays static in your business and
in your life.
It's always moving.
So if you're listening rightnow and you've been in a very difficult
stage in your life or in yourbusiness, know that this too will

(22:52):
pass.
In fact, it could be the verypreparation you needed for a more
prosperous cycle.
It could have been the thingthat made you listen to this podcast
today and understand what isgoing on so that you can calm your
mind and know that you canmove forward.
Okay.
And then finally, we're goingto move on to law number 12, which
is the law of giving andreceiving or the law of gender.
This has nothing to do withbeing male or female.

(23:14):
This law is again, talkingabout energy.
And it says that there are twotypes, like yin and yang, anima,
an animus, male and female.
And to build a business thatyou really love and enjoy, you want
to have both types of energyand you want to be able to balance
them.
So, for example, if you'respending all of your time doing and
hustling and working crazyhours, not sleeping, not taking care
of yourself, that is all oneside of energy energy.

(23:36):
It's all more hustling andmasculine doing, pushing, taking
action.
But if you're leaving no roomfor the other side, the other side
of receiving, trusting, flow, the more feminine approach, and allowing
time for rest, relaxation, calm, self care, education, self
learning, self empowerment,and so on.
If you haven't got that builtinto your balance, then you're going

(23:58):
to fall outside of this lawand things are going to be more difficult
than they should be.
The secret is in doing bothand permitting yourself time to have
both.
Due to the way that we'reraised in Western culture, the concept
of investing in yourself anddoing something for yourself is not
something that comes naturallyfor most women.
We are tending to be more likefactory pieces coming off a conveyor
belt.

(24:19):
But nothing is going to stopthat conveyor belt in the world moving.
You actually have to stretchout your little legs, stand up and
say, nope, nope, I'm puttingme first.
I matter.
I want more balance.
I'm getting off this conveyor belt.
I'm going to get off thefrigging conveyor belt and choose
how I want to live my life.
And if you can focus on thebalance between these two types of
energy, your life and businessstart to become more aligned with

(24:39):
who you are and become moreauthentically you.
And for so many women, that isa bigger focus on the more feminine,
energetic side of things, because the masculine side is something
that comes so much morenaturally because of the social,
cultural and educational norms.
I think this is something Ikeep touching upon this, and I think
this is going to be somethingI need to do a separate podcast on
this masculine and feminineenergetics and how I interpret them

(25:02):
and use them in my business, which may not be the same as somebody
else that you listen to whouses them as well.
So I will give you my uniqueperspective on them.
For now, though, for thisepisode that is all of them.
You have all 12 laws of theuniverse to help you make yourself
a more successful entrepreneurfrom the inside out.
And I would normally recap atthis point, but reading out 12 titles

(25:22):
isn't going to make much senseat this point, especially as I split
this podcast between two episodes.
So what I've done instead ismade you a neat little cheat sheet
where you can have a list ofall of them with a little summary
that you can put on yourfridge wall, on your desk wall or
on your desk, wherever youwant to do that.
And you can find that@subelmont.com podcast 13 a bit of advice
on these laws though.
If you try and learn them likelegal laws and stick to them no matter

(25:45):
what with rigidity and lack offorgiveness and no compassion, if
you get them wrong, you willstruggle instead.
Just plant them in your mind.
Listen to the show again ifyou want to, or diaries to listen
to it again in six months timeif that's what you'd like to do,
to let it permeate and percolate.
And then all you need to do isunderstand the general principle,
principles and the meaningsand you will find a way to start
to work them into yourbusiness life just because you've

(26:07):
become aware of them.
You will start to noticethings that remind you of these laws.
And remember, as I always say,it always starts with awareness.
Have a great week everyone andwe will catch up in the next show
in 2025.
