Speaker 1 (00:00):
I guess maybe some even some of the advantages.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Uh, I mean like challenges just going in and with
a focused mindset and just go out and compete at
a high level. But uh, the advantages, I would say,
you know, just we played 'em, we know where we
messed up, and we know the things we did great.
So uh let's try to do 'em better and let's
try to fix the things we messed up on and
uh go execute.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
At a high level.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Are there things that you know you may have saw
in that game with their Nashville that you can take
to kind of help you, I guess maybe find some
success at some day.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
Yeah, you know, just.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Blocking you know, uh when you see a Creed hit,
it be decisive when you run, just speaking for the
run running position, and uh, just going out and competing
that and having fun.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
It's the biggest thing for me. And uh that's what
that's what I'm looking forward to.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
One of the last two games up in the season
for you, and you're still consider one of the young guys.
How important is it for you to take advantage of
these reps and be the last couple of games and
you'll put some good feeling on Take me and get
some momentum.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
Going into the off season.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
I feel like it's big, you know, cause I feel
like we finished the season last year like like that,
and we kind of came into it. We finished the
season this year mary strung, and we'll come into next
season scrong. You know, go out and just compete and
have fun. And I finish finish this season too, and though,
and that's the biggest.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
Thing that we talk about in the locker room. Let's
just finish and go out and have fun and be
s What about for you personally?
Speaker 2 (01:12):
You know, for me personally, you know, I just wanna
let the guys know that I'm here. You know, Uh
I don't ready to go compete for them, you know,
my family. God, just go out there and compete at
a high level. You know, put my best foot forward
these next two weeks and coming to next year.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
God wouldn't and do what we have to do.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
There's a lot of history of this team and the Titans.
Now that is your fourth time playing them.
Speaker 5 (01:31):
Are you kind of feeling that rob really.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
A little bit?
Speaker 6 (01:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:33):
You know, this division game, you know, it's it always
gonna feel a little smoke in there, you know, But
uh I I it's it's opportunity level life time. I
don't looking forward to it.
Speaker 6 (01:44):
Looking back on a I mean, we had a while
to kind of get past it with that season opener.
Speaker 5 (01:49):
Was there, ever, at the end of that game?
Speaker 6 (01:51):
Did Was there a similar feeling to kind of the
way the season ended last year where everything was right,
you had it and then it just kind of fell away?
Speaker 5 (01:58):
Was there a feeling of daja vu or on, no,
here we go again at all? Now that you're looking
back on.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
It as a season opener, you speaking like first game
of last year?
Speaker 5 (02:07):
Yeah, first game of this year year?
Speaker 4 (02:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Oh Miami, Uh, you know, we just in the Miami game.
We just beat ourselves. We we gotta I feel like
we come out s and d less mistakes. We we'll
come out and win that game.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
Man. I feel like that's how it been all year.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
We just gotta handle our job as players and handle
the little things. Can't turn the ball over, can't misbelocks,
can't do none of those things. We gotta play for
each other and go out and be our best, best
version of ourselves. That's why we're professional athletes. But I
feel like that game to have a nothing to do
with last year, you know. But I feel like last
year put a put it like a chip on our shoulder,
(02:44):
you know, but obviously this year we should have a
biggest chip on our shoulder for coming in next year.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Buzzword has kind of been that word finished, and you
just kind of mentioned a little bit, you know, obviously
knowing that the season comes to in these last couple
of games. But how big would it be for you
guys to kind of find ways to finish them not
just this game, but the next game.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
But like it be big?
Speaker 2 (03:02):
You know, we do fade, fight and finish, No really
and those three things three f's, you know, and uh,
we gonna go buy those things these next two games,
and just the guys that wanna come along, let's go
out there.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Let's get the job done for this team.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
I wonder if you have any unique Christmas traditions with
your family and maybe how was yesterday for you?
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Uh? It was great, you know.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Uh, first it just thank God to see another Christmas.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
And uh seeing my family, It was a blessing just
being there.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
And my mom came down, you know, uh got her
gifts and I do this big old thing where I
get all my family members. Jordan's Uh, it was the
way it was the elevens that came out. So I
got those elevens for them and they was excited. So
that's a that's my tradition thing I do. I started
doing the college. But just biggest thing, kids, I'm happy
to see another Christmas and blessed yep.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
And now with the new year's coming up on men
or do you have anyw Year's resolutions on the field
or were even off the field for yourself?
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Uh, you know, just go in and take this new
next year, learn from my mistakes this year and build
off who who I who I am and what I
can be, and just come back next year at a
peace mind and go go out and compete at a
high level.
Speaker 5 (04:05):
Good chance to start Sunday. You chance you've been waiting
for this year. I know, yeah, no doubt.
Speaker 7 (04:11):
I'm just pumped for myself, just to get over the
knee injury to see that it hasn't hampered me and
I can still go out and play at a high level.
Speaker 5 (04:19):
So that's the biggest thing for me. And then she'd be.
Speaker 7 (04:21):
Out there with the boys and I know the season's lost,
but go out and put our best foot forward, put
stuff on tape.
Speaker 5 (04:27):
That's what it's about.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
A lot of people are asking today about motivation, a
sense you won't have trouble getting motivated.
Speaker 5 (04:32):
No chance.
Speaker 7 (04:33):
It's the NFL that everyone watches the tape. Everything matters.
It's it, plain and simple.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
How difficult was just the rehab process and the knee
injury that you're looking back on it now.
Speaker 7 (04:44):
It was very difficult, just because those first couple of
weeks back at practice when you're not.
Speaker 5 (04:48):
You don't got that pop.
Speaker 7 (04:49):
You're just like because the coaches are waiting to see
if you can do it in practice before they put
you in stuff like that. So that was the hardest part.
But it's just a great feeling when you get in
the game. That adrenaline kicks in and everything. You feel
stronger than you did before, which is crazy. That's how
I felt.
Speaker 5 (05:05):
When did you feel back to normal after that?
Speaker 7 (05:10):
I want to say, I mean Minnesota was my first
game back, and even playing on special teams in that game.
Once I got in the game, it felt fine. And
it's crazy the scar tissue it but whatever neurological things like,
it hurts, but you're faster and stronger, so it's just
kind of getting over that pain factor basically.
Speaker 5 (05:31):
So I mean I've felt good since since Minnesota. Probably
two division games left. Chance to sweep both these teams
this year.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
Yeah, that's that's that'd be big.
Speaker 5 (05:40):
Right, no doubt.
Speaker 7 (05:41):
I mean, you always want to have success in the division,
so yeah. And for me, it's a game that they
keep score, so that's all that matters.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
I'm wondering if you have any cool Christmas traditions and
how was your day yesterday as well?
Speaker 5 (05:55):
Are you?
Speaker 7 (05:55):
I mean, back when I didn't have a job, used
to go to my grandparents out out in western Nebraska
and we'd go duck hunting and pheasant hunting. But had
a great day yesterday, but with my old lady, so
just me and her, so it was good.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
With New Year's coming up, any New Year's resolutions for
yourself on the field or even.
Speaker 7 (06:14):
Off the field, don't really believe in New Year's resolutions.
But play more golf than I already do.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Good.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
Sorry it was a little late.
Speaker 6 (06:24):
Sorry.
Speaker 5 (06:24):
If you answer the question, you're good obviously.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
You know these last two games you just talked about it,
they're keeping a score, so these games matter, and you
know how big would it be to come out here?
Speaker 3 (06:32):
And put some good performances on. Taking the momentum.
Speaker 7 (06:34):
Standpoint, Yeah, it's big for everyone. You know, you play
for your football whether you think you've made it or
you haven't made it, You're always playing for your football life.
Speaker 5 (06:42):
You can never slack off in this league.
Speaker 7 (06:43):
You gotta put the work in and go play hard,
and you gotta stay focused these next two weeks and
maybe create a little I don't really believe in the
momentum off coming off a whim, but yeah, you can
create a little bit of momentum for yourself by going
out and playing great.
Speaker 4 (06:58):
As a bit.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
Is this something that you kind of expressed to some
of the young guys who obviously seem that are getting
a little bit more you know right out there on
the field.
Speaker 7 (07:04):
Absolutely, you have to stay locked in. You gotta go
out and execute. You gotta play like you play like
you know you're playing in the playoffs where every game matters,
every game treat it. Treat the Super Bowl the same
as preseason week one. So that's kind of the message.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
Thanks to
