Dr. Ananda Basu is the Harrison Professor of Medicine in the division of Endocrinology at the University of Virginia. He received his MD from the Jawaharlal Institute in Pondicherry, India. He trained in endocrinology in Birmingham, England. He completed his fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Basu was part of the Mayo faculty until 2011 and has been at UVA since. His research interests include better understanding the physiology of Type 1 diabetes and the artificial pancreas. Tune in to learn about the physiology, diagnosis, and treatment of diabetes.
